It appears to be quite difficult explaining drawing techniques. Some people just draw and don't really describe what they are doing, which is not really helpful. Other people over-complicate the process and/or meander into irrelevance at the drop of pencil, leaving the viewer with a headache. You, sir, have obviously mastered the twin skills of lucidity and brevity. It is a joy to watch and learn from you. Well done, and thank you!
I would love to see another video like this, but with at least two strong light sources. Like a red and blue light sitting at different spots and how that would cast shadows. :)
hey is there any problem with the link of the ebook as the content is not visible on that page as wellas i cannot signup .. plz fix that as i really need that ebook .. the video was too good .. it helped me alot .. plz make video on 3point perspective as well .
When working with a natural light source, Does the ground level connect to the horizon line/eye level? Or it's just a line directly below the ray of light?
Thanks. this helped a lot. How about large light sources on a small object. Like a bottle of Coke lit by a close, large window. How do you figure out how the light wraps around the object and softens the edges of the shadow.
+EasyThingsToDraw101 I got my strathmore 11x14 100lb sketch paper in! got me some 5b pencils. and I was wondering if you had any tips for me? I dont think I want to keep up doing portraits anymore.
+JreyTroit Try to draw figures from your favourite anime, put them in an unusual perspecives, emotions, situations and then perhaps something new, more inspiring will occur with time and progress you will spend on it. Or try doodling (just RUclips search it :) ) Edit: I missed the part about being bored of the figures.... yea.... doodling it is than... (But the progress will be the same in the end I am sure)
+JreyTroit I agree with andrew. Otherwise than that I would also say not cherish your drawings too much, draw what you think is cool in general. At this point I think 'mileage' is the most important thing. Get miles on that car. Just doing it will improve your dexterity alone, thats a huge part of drawing. Don't forget to enjoy the process. Hope that slightly helps for now.
+Andrew Wolf thanks for the advice, I'll try to do that. I have lost much of my interest, I think its because its not the creativity I want to express and you cant do that with portraits since they already exist without me drawing them. So I will definitely start this today. thanks again!
+Jackthepervert Gaming for this one example pretty much. I just used it as a visual aid to show everyone on the video. When I go into shading as a whole , I'll go over the marker types

+JreyTroit Tips depend on what you want to tackle. If you are sick of portraits, what are you interested in drawing?
+EasyThingsToDraw101 anime, figure drawing, developing my creativity

여기도 투시법을 잘못이해하고 있군요. 바닥그림자에 소실점을 적용시킬 땐 Cast 도 같이 적용해야 합니다.
