I only wish that Marilyn could know how much soooooo many people Love her for herself. Even after all this time, a bit Ironic that she felt liked no one Loved her
I wish the same, but I know that when she was alive she knew how much the people adored her, the public. That's why she said she belonged to the people because they made her the star she is, plus thousands of fans letter a week. I think her loneliness came from home, her failed marriages and sadly her miscarriages. All the guys she worked for who treated her badly or like the "dumb blonde". Ultimately she became the very symbol for Hollywood for her beauty, talent and kindness. She became the true Star she wanted to be, sadly too late for her to see it in person.
@Predaking101 Yes Marilyn was first Norma Jeane, and I suspect in private, she was only Norma Jeane behind the scenes. She knew how to "switch on" Marilyn, as so many have said. She knew her craft well and we all adore her for it. She left quite a lasting impression on us all and she will Never be forgotten. Liz Taylor was another Bombshell of a woman. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Marilyn had a terrible childhood. Her mother, unfourtantly had mental health issues and could not care for her. Including attempting to smother her with a pillow. During her time in foster care, bouncing from one home to the next; no one loved her. Her foster parents arranged her to be married at age sixteen just to get rid of her.
Same. It is so disgusting. The one above her is forever facing her hence being " on top" of her for eternity. I wonder how his wife must've felt about him wishing for that, instead of her husband facing her... :/
I guess when our society changes, then the situation of her grave will change too, the day she is separated , placed in separate grave will be a big day
Sick that the nobody requested to be facing down on top of Marilyn ,suggesting a sexual position . Hugh Hefner should not have been allowed next to her either
Oh how nice! They've made so many improvements over the years to make it even more beautiful. I'm glad she has such a lovely place to rest easy at. Thanks for watching!
Hefner shouldn’t be next to her after everything he done to her, I am so pissed he posted those pics with out her permission, She didn’t want to them to be posted, he exploited her anyways 😠 not to mention he wasn’t friendly towards women and racist too
Marilyn, then Norma Jeane posed in several photoshoots that were considered "improper" for the times, to pay her bills. She posed nude/semi nude knowing they would be used for calendar's or other things and she did what she wanted to do and had to do to make it in the tough world of showbiz in the early days. Hugh simply purchased the rights to the photos, much like photographers today have the "rights" to the photos taken of the models to do what they want with (unless there's a contract). What of the men who took those photos of her to sell originally? While she may not have wanted those photos to come to light while she was on the rise in fear it may affect her career, in the end, the public loved her even more for her honesty and quick wit in explaining why she took the photos to begin with. Hence the "Chanel #5 and the radio" quote. Hugh never met her, and really anyone can legally purchase a grave, but I understand your point and am not trying to defend Hugh but simply explaining what was going on at the time. As for the other part, I am no Hugh Hefner expert, so I will only comment on Marilyn's part as she is my main focus. Marilyn was a Very smart woman, and ironically those very same red satin nude photos are treasured by us today and hang inside The Hollywood Museum. The entire wall has several large framed photos of her from that photoshoot, for all to admire in a much broader spectrum than any magazine back then, plus today's internet. Sadly, Hollywood in general, exploits everyone. We all love her, and miss her and wish she was far better taken care of. Anyways, hope this helps, thank you for watching. Take care:)
Lady in the Library I know she did a lot modeling before she became fame actor and I am aware of how things was there but that’s was mostly by agreement too? I also grew up watch with some her movies and my dad was a fan of old Hollywood movies as he was born at the time. I model myself too, but honestly I think he took at least respect her wishes and not post them as many men before him have used her, and he was no different then, if they never met I feel if he have some decency. And what I am saying it’s based on people who work with Hefner too. Great blog tho and take care too.
I completely agree with you, he should have gotten her permission to use the photos but unfortunately, because he bought the rights to them, he didn't legally have to. Which of course is unfair to models, even today when that happens:/ She signed a model release form under the name Mona Monroe to conceal her identity. Signing it gave away her rights to the images (unless stated otherwise), but she did consent to pose for them for $50. She was a bright Lady who turned that situation around and it made her an even bigger star, and I'm happy about that. I wish I could've fit all this into the video to go into more detail. She deserved the world:) Thank you and best wishes!
It would be nicer if Marilyn was next to Dean Martin, who was lovely to her during the making of Something's Got To Give. He tried to help her cope and even insisted she be reinstated after being fired from the movie.
True! He passed away in 1995 though so he may have purchased a plot much later on and maybe there was no space left for him near her. Marilyn has close friends and those she considered relatives, buried there, so for me atleast, I feel they all protect her. Her own mausoleum would be wonderful.
I appreciate you showing your respect for other people’s flower offerings. This may seem like a simplistic gesture, but it shows you are an empathetic person.
My heart smiled when i saw the flowers that you bought her. So beautiful and thoughtful. Loved this video so much, I can’t wait to pay my respect to this place in the near future. Xoxo
Thank you for such a kind comment:) I'm blessed to live near her and can visit often but I wanted to make this special and on behalf of everyone that loves her and who wants to place flowers at her grave but can't. She is still so admired and loved even all these years later, so I'm more than happy to do this. I hope you're able to visit her grave soon and see what a beautiful resting place she is in. Thank you for watching!
I don't know why every time I see photos or videos of Marilyn Monroe, I start crying, it's a feeling that I can't explain yet. May you rest in your country, you'll be beautiful forever, Marilyn
This made me happy and feel as if I was there I’m 22 years old and have never been to America but when I do the first thing I’m doing is going there, really nice video 😊
Thanks so much for watching, and commenting! I'm so happy to know this video helped show everyone where Marilyn rests, I know many people don't live close by at all and want to see it. I'm sure you'll love coming here someday and seeing all the sights Hollywood and the surrounding areas have. There's so much history here. Best Wishes!
I hate that Hefner is next to Marilyn and stalked her even in death, it's so disgusting that she never escaped those disgusting men. God just knowing she's lying in that crypt when she should have been here with us, making the world the beautiful place it would have been had she been here...rest in peace my Angel
This is amazing 😍❤️ I love Marilyn soooo much! I wish she was still alive I would do everything to meet her and tell her how amazing and beautiful she always is 😔 can’t believe such an angel had so much pain on her,I believe soon or later we will find what really happened to her,I believe she was murdered,I want to become a detective forensic,if I achieve that,I’ll do anything to find out the truth, the real truth. Can’t wait to one day go to her grave 😔I would definitely cry, talking and having silence at the same time. She is and will always be a queen, she will ALWAYS no matter what year it is,she will always be alive in someone’s life ❤️ (sorry for such a long thing, I have never expressed my feelings like this,I have so much more to say but I won’t 🌹) you are sooo lucky to have gone there !!! Amazing🥰
When you become a forensic detective please do let us know what you discover! I think her death was odd... I hope you get to visit her resting place and feel the peace surrounding her. The first time I visited her, I cried too. It was overwhelming to be there knowing the woman we see so beautiful and alive, is now behind that wall. I know she would give a big hug and kiss to every single person that visited her, just knowing how much we all adore her. We all wish she had a better life, more love, real friendship and a family of her own. I believe she is resting in Heaven now with her mother and family and those she loved, without a care in the world. Thank you for watching, and your comment. I love to know others out there care for her and keeps a good thought for her. :)
Lady in the Library thank you sooo much for such amazing comment❤️ I’ll definitely bet she is doing amazing now and happier, can’t wait after all of this corona stuff to be over so I could maybe own a piece of her, future auctions may be for good to me !!! Have an amazing day love ❤️ thank you for hearing🌹
Marilyns service was held outdoors , seating was outside& Lee Strasberg spoke the eulogy. there's footage on youtube it was beautiful& small . Joe D believed many ppl were around her were bad& he kept it to just close freinds & family. thanks for the video
I almost teared up watching this video. Both Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin are some of my favourite entertainers ever. I live in Canary Islands, Spain, so far away from Los Angeles, but I hope I can go to the Westwood Cemetery someday and fill their graves with flowers and kisses (of course, blowed kisses) since they both mean that much to me (and I have to confess that seeing Dino's grave empty made me feel a little saddened). Somehow, this video made me feel closer to them, so I wanted to thank you for that, and I hope everything's going well. You've won a new suscriber, by the way. ❤️
Aw next time I will place roses at Dean's grave as well and tell him a fan of his from the Canary Islands says hello:) I always try to have spare flowers but there's so many lovely people there I tend to run out. I truly hope you get to visit here and pay your respects to them soon. There's so much to see in Los Angeles, you'd enjoy the historical aspect of it especially the Old Hollywood side. I'm truly glad you liked this video and could feel like you're there too, that was my hope! Thanks so much for watching and leaving such a charming comment. Best wishes!! :)
Actually the chapel has been completely remodeled and it's totally different from when Marilyn's funeral was held there on August 8, 1962. Hers was the second funeral to be held in the chapel after it was built. There was carpet on the floor (no marble), there were bench seats, paneling on the walls, and different light fixtures. The building is the same but the inside is totally different.
Oh thank you for letting me know! :) I will make a note of that in the description of the video. May I quote you and add this comment to it? Thank you for watching, I adore your channel and collection, it's absolutely inspiring and Marilyn would appreciate such honor and devotion. Thanks and Best Wishes!
Awww this was so interesting !! I love seeing Betty Paige tombstone and Marilyn Monroes!!And I love the way you tell stories!! Cute dress! Can’t wait to watch more!!
Thank you, Hun! It's always bittersweet to visit their graves but I was happy to share the experience with everyone. The dress is a replica made from Marilyn's younger years too:) I'll have to go back there soon! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I like your vintage hairstyle ! and a BIG thank you for this visite and i can see Marilyn....! i'm too old and poor for travel from switzerland to LA ! thanks again for your present to Marilyn and take care ! (sorry for my bad english)
Thanks for watching! So happy to share the experience of visiting Marilyn. I know so many don't have the opportunity to do so. Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks and take care!
Thank you for bringing flowers to my idol Marilyn Monroe and also to Bettie Page, you should have put flowers to the unforgettable Heather O'Rouke, in that cemetery there are quite a few well-known actresses and actors.
You're absolutely correct, there are so many wonderful actors and celebrities and buried there, I wish I had enough flowers to give to them all. I will visit and pay my respects to Heather O'Rouke next time:) Marilyn especially just holds a special place in my heart and so many others. Thanks so much for watching, and commenting!
@@LadyMandyFlora Hi! miss Lady, first of all thank you for your generosity in putting flowers on the grave of Marilyn Monroe and other stars that you like like Betty Page, I also like Betty but much more Marilyn, she is my favorite female idol :) me Happy if the next time you visit the cemetery you put some roses to Heather O'Rouke, one of my part would be fine! :) It was very sad to know that he had no flowers when an acquaintance who lives in Los Angeles visited his grave in January of this year. I am from Spain and it hurts me to know that actresses who were admired in their day have them so forgotten because they are not as well known as the adorable Marilyn, fans still remember them but many who live in Los Angeles do not usually make themselves to the cemetery .They shouldn't be fans at all because they don't bring them flowers, they just visit their grave out of curiosity and make a video. The well-known man who lives in Los Angeles asked him for a favor but he did not do it, to put a rose on my part at Marilyn's grave. I still hope someone will do it but I suppose you have to be friends with someone special to do me this favor. Thanks Lady! I send you greetings and hugs :)
I feel the same way, it is sad when such wonderful stars who were so adored, are now largely forgotten as the years go by. I don't think most people even realize Bettie, or many other big stars are buried so close to Marilyn. I would be happy to place a rose at Marilyn's grave and Heather's for you next time I go. I get requests like that sometimes, and I'm lucky to live close to their resting places to be able to do so. I'm happy the video can in a way feel like you're there, I wanted it to be a way for all her fans to feel like they can pay their respects to her. Greetings and Best Wishes from Hollywood!
@@LadyMandyFlora Thank you very much for everything you do and for making fans happy that we cannot be so close where the great stars of Hollywood rest and visit the magical places where their lives lived. I'm glad to hear that you feel the same way I do about the Hollywood stars of the 50's, many of today's actresses and singers are inspired by these stars of the past like Bettie Page who created a unique style and was a advanced in its time for its very daring designs for that time. Thank you Miss Lady for your contribution and generosity, you are an incredible woman to admire. If what you say is true where you are us that we are so far away and we do not have the means to travel to Los Angeles. Greetings and best wishes to you too!
That's very kind of you to write, thank you for such a positive and kind comment. :) I know so many people want to see where their favorite Hollywood icons lived and ultimately where they rest forever now, but live too far away. I hope to post more videos of various Hollywood hotspots and ofcourse pay my respects to others at their graves. Sharon Tate's grave is next, for instance. I appreciate your awesome comments, and thank you for watching! Best Wishes:)
Thanks for watching and commenting! and thanks so much! Dear Norma Jeane is such an inspiration to me, we also share a June 1st birthday:) Best Wishes!
Unlike most girls my age (13) I ADORE history, especially the fashion from the late Victorian era, 50s and 90s :) I’d love to go there one day but I live all the way in England 🥺
That's wonderful you have such an appreciation for history and different fashions! Read and learn as much as you can! I was the same way when I was your age and there is So much to learn about in so many time eras and places, especially in England! You have a great opportunity to explore England by living there, it has a rich, ancient past that saw so many changes, fashions, Stonehenge, Kings, and Queens etc. I went there for 3 days, some years ago, and Loved it. You're off to a great start! Best Wishes!
I wish Marilyn Monroe was still living... Just think 🤔 how much she would of been able to share...with us❣️💫❣️She had over came so much from her hard growing-up years... She was a real survivor. She wanted and was looking for more success. Her life was so horribly cut short. I still feel so bad about her psssing-away so young.😢I know she had so much to offer us in her future that all later ahead of her. ❣️💫❣️
I think it would have been so nice to have her write her own biography so we know from her directly what she went through and all about her life. She was such a beautiful and talented lady and the world will always adore her. Her life was cut short and that is the saddest part, she had so much to live for. She will forever be an icon:) Thank you for the lovely comments and watching! Very Best Wishes to you!
Wow, this is wonderful. Very tastefully done and Lady in the Library is so pretty! You also told me a great story I did not know. I researched it, the attempted sale of the crypt above MM. There is a crazy story of the sale falling through. Great video!
Yes isn't it such an odd story about the crypt above her? Thanks so much for watching and leaving a great comment, it's most appreciated. Best Wishes!!
Thank you for sharing this! I had no idea she was buried in a place that's public one could go. Thinking during my quarantine I may pay her a visit & bring flowers. :)
My pleasure! I try to go every year and pay my respects to Dear Marilyn. She is in a small and well hidden cemetery but completely open to the public:) Quite fascinating to see before and after pictures of how the area around it has turned into the bustling city that's there now, but once you enter the grounds it quiet and serene. I'm sure she would appreciate your visit and flowers:) Thanks for watching and commenting!
I understand people saying that men still 'leech' off her even in death. But you know, our Spirit/Soul leaves the earthly body behind at the point of death and therefore Marilyn herself is very safe and exactly where her Spirit needs to be at this point in her journey onwards. 🌹 Thank you for an interesting video and sharing your respect for the late, greats!
She Will always be the beautiful, elegent and darling Women with an adorable voice which have made histories on the movie industry. Now shes Up there in HEAVEN with God and she will always remember us fans
I 100% agree! :) She had so much life left to live, but she left us with such wonderful tokens of her time here on Earth. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Just getting to know her more early this year, Marilyn Monroe is a beautiful lady she is amazing that I have her picture 2 of them on my wall in my apartment.
Thanks so much for watching, and commenting! Thanks for such a kind comment too! :) I Love the 20's -30's stars! Mary Pickford especially, that's such a compliment! Best Wishes!
Marilyn was a star wen she was alive and she is still a star ,Talking about the top list of Hollywood beauties she trends at first 5,after so many years of her death she is still a fashion icon, synonym of beauty grace and elegance ,people of all ages have loved her ,she is one such person who every girl would want to be, TO LOOK LIKE MARILYN ❤️
She will always be an icon for Hollywood. It's always amusing to see her image in even the most elite of Hollywood homes because she is everything you mentioned. Nearly every store I go into, theres some image of her I'm able to find. She was unique and quite a Lady. Thanks for watching and commenting! Best Wishes!
The last time I was in LA I wanted to go by and see her grave. I must have drove around for two hours. I never found it. I have a feeling this is not a big place
It's in a Very hard to spot area. The entrance is just a small driveway between those buildings and from the outside you'd never guess it lead to this cemetery. It is a rather small but very pretty place tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city right outside. Hopefully next time your in LA you can stop in and visit, my video shows the drive into there so hope that helps you find it next time:) Thanks for watching and commenting!
I wish Marilyn Monroe knew how much she is loved by all her adoring fans after all these years that has passed from her untimely death. Marilyn Monroe is an Icon. Super Star 💫❣️forever❣️💫
Mandy she was not silly she tough as boots she was quite well versed to literature and Acting Education. Only how media have profiled her which is not truth... Trouble is people can't see beyond that. Lovely tribute x tc
Hope you do get to visit her! It's a very lovely resting place for her, and thank you I adore Norma Jeane so much! Thanks for watching and best wishes!
Hope you do get to visit California someday, there's so much to see! I'd love to visit Ireland, it's gorgeous there:) Wishing you a safe journey next year, and thanks for watching!

Honestly, she should have her own spot away from those perverts.
she even doesn‘t liked hugh hefner!
She died 60 years ago
Should start a crowd fund to move her away from those perverts.
Let’s make a petion
She should have been buried in her own area an area specifically for her..
She was rich she most definitely could have afforded her own private area
I'm in. Let's do it. She deserves to be at peace away from the creeps.

Lady in the Library thank you sooo much for such amazing comment❤️ I’ll definitely bet she is doing amazing now and happier, can’t wait after all of this corona stuff to be over so I could maybe own a piece of her, future auctions may be for good to me !!! Have an amazing day love ❤️ thank you for hearing🌹
when our society changes, then the situation of her grave will change too, the day she is placed in a separate grave will be a big day
I can't wait for that day
Should have given Dean a rose too.
My big big fan Marilyn Monroe.....beautiful women.....forever legend...love Marilyn....Rip M.M..
Croatia love Marilyn Monroe💋💕💋💕
Marilyns service was held outdoors , seating was outside& Lee Strasberg spoke the eulogy. there's footage on youtube it was beautiful& small . Joe D believed many ppl were around her were bad& he kept it to just close freinds & family. thanks for the video
Yes very few people were allowed to attend. Joe and Marilyn's half sister Berniece made all the arrangements. Thanks for watching and commenting! :)
Totally obsessed with Marilyn lately.. thanks for showing us this video❤
You're welcome! So many of us Adore dear Marilyn :) Thanks for watching and commenting!
I am just a kid(12yrs old)(2021) but when i here her song i became a fan! She so good at singging.
She was a talented singer indeed. That's nice she has a new fan! :) I'm sure she would appreciate it. Best Wishes!
I visited Marilyn's grave back in 2018 coming from Brasil,fantastic cemetery.🌹🌹
Hiw was your visit to her grave? Is her grave really that haunted as ppl say ?
Rest in peace that's nice of u to care and bring flowers ...u also very beautiful and educated ...ty
I love bringing Dear Marilyn flowers:) and thank you for such a lovely comment. Best Wishes!
I visited Marilyn's site 40 years ago.
I watched videos of her and she’s such a sweetheart and one of the softest bby.❤️
Every video, interview or photo of her, shows what a tender soul and sweetheart she was. An absolute Angel :)
Lady in the Library I know I wished people loved her for her and not just her looks.
Thank you for sharing this video ❤
Rip Marilyn 💔
Thanks for watching!
Just came up on this by accident. I'm sure other people must have commented on it, but, you look amazingly like Norma Jean. Lovely.
Thanks for watching and commenting! and thanks so much! Dear Norma Jeane is such an inspiration to me, we also share a June 1st birthday:) Best Wishes!
@@LadyMandyFlora Amazing coincidence, and very fitting. ;-)
Thank you for sharing, I was not aware Hefner was next to Marilyn ...
Thanks for watching! Yes he was placed there after he recently passed.
Marilyn Monroe. ❤️ Bellísima.
U so lucky & blessed to look like Norma 💖... Loved this video !! 💞🥰
Aw Thank you! I Adore Norma Jeane! She was Darling:) Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@LadyMandyFlora Aww u r so sweet ❤
Same
Same! I might not be 13 again, but it has always been the same for me
I wish Marilyn Monroe was still living...
@@LadyMandyFlora Yes very crazy story! Your welcome!
Happy 95th birthday in heaven Marilyn
Thank you for sharing this! I had no idea she was buried in a place that's public one could go. Thinking during my quarantine I may pay her a visit & bring flowers. :)
My pleasure! I try to go every year and pay my respects to Dear Marilyn. She is in a small and well hidden cemetery but completely open to the public:) Quite fascinating to see before and after pictures of how the area around it has turned into the bustling city that's there now, but once you enter the grounds it quiet and serene. I'm sure she would appreciate your visit and flowers:) Thanks for watching and commenting!
This girl looks like Norma Jean 🙂
Thank you! I adore Norma Jeane! Thanks for watching and commenting:)
Yyyyaaaassss
It looks like Marylyn Monroe.
We would like to Thank you for putting flowers on Marilyn Monroe grave site. ❤❤❤❤
I'm happy to do it:) It's the least I can do to honor her memory. Thank you for watching!
last time I was there was 1992 it was so run down,,,looks like they fixed and cleaned it up since then.
It really is very nice there now, I'm glad they put effort into it's maintenance now:)
@@LadyMandyFlora me too,,,I'm going to have to visit next time I'm out that way!!
I'm just stunned that even for a final resting place it's so damn expensive. 4.5 million thats JUST crazy.
I understand people saying that men still 'leech' off her even in death. But you know, our Spirit/Soul leaves the earthly body behind at the point of death and therefore Marilyn herself is very safe and exactly where her Spirit needs to be at this point in her journey onwards. 🌹
Thank you for an interesting video and sharing your respect for the late, greats!
I agree and beautifully said. Thanks so much for watching and commenting! Best Wishes!
Przykro mi bardzo ale tyle możemy dla WSZYSTKICH ZMARŁYCH NIEBO CZUWA NAD TYMI KTÓRZY ODESZLI 💞
@@LadyMandyFlora Np I love watching Marilyn Monroe Videos and I will go to her grave with my sisters when I grow Up.
No thing is beauty with death place what ever green is it, it still holds power of life end and after death mystery
Just getting to know her more early this year, Marilyn Monroe is a beautiful lady she is amazing that I have her picture 2 of them on my wall in my apartment.
I really enjoyed your vlog! You look like a vintage movie star! A little Mabel Normand and Mary Pickford.I subscribed!
Thanks so much for watching, and commenting! Thanks for such a kind comment too! :) I Love the 20's -30's stars! Mary Pickford especially, that's such a compliment! Best Wishes!
@@LadyMandyFlora You are so kind! Thank you!
My grandmother, Genevieve Cleo Haney, is buried under Marilyn.
Oh wow, How interesting! She is buried in a great place. Thanks for sharing! :)
I was very young and remember Marilyn passing on my mother’s 34th BD.
Oh wow! You both must've been sad to hear the news that day.
Rest in Peace Angel 🙏❤
Thank you 🙂
she should have stayed with joe. he really loved her.
In divorce court she stated, Mental Cruelty, as the reason for filing. Still, he clearly regretted it and they later became friends.
Was he not horrible to her, i believe he was abusive
He beat her constantly
Wow, que emoción visitar la tumba de Marilyn!!...muy conmovedor 🙏..Saludos!

Marylin monroe shes was the most beautiful women on the Planet and still an icon in Hollywoodstars historie.
I agree:) Thanks for watching and commenting, Best Wishes!
I'm Brazilian, I was born long after Marilyn's death, and I'm fascinated by her and her story, I would really like to see her tomb.

Спасибо вам за видео . Обожаю эту не земную красоту Мерилин . ❤❤
the buildings around the cemetery are disturbing, let them rest in peace
I was expecting it to be far more glamorous, but very lovely cemetery
Me too, perhaps some mausoleum or crypt just for her. At Least the surrounding cemetery is very pretty. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Your fashion style in this video reminds me the old Marilyn Monroe, her real self Norma Jean
This dress is a replica of Norma Jeane's from when she was a Blue Book Model in her early days:) Thanks for watching and commenting!
