Manga Keith pulls a reqlly blicky before Pegasus changes Keith's hand into a gun and makes him shoot himself. Yami Bakura and Pegasus actually duel but Bakura also kills Pegasus after ripping the millennium eye out of his eye socket. Pegasus boy bleeds to death. Manga ygo is rated r lol

One thing never understood is as Kaiba and his brother are young kids at the orphanage, Seto becomes an adult while Mokuba remains a kid... 😂😅
And i don’t understand how kaiba went to the same school as them but he’s clearly an adult now and they were still in school lol
He's a teenager.
Hes sixteen in the Japanese version and 18 in the dub, and Mokuba is 5 years younger than him in either version
I always assumed that Mokuba, like Yugi and Solomon, is just incredibly short
@@serenitymoon825 Heh, funny story about that.....Yugi's around twelve to fourteen years old in Duel Monsters. That's why he's so short.
Yugi didn’t become friends with anyone before the puzzle. His wish on the puzzle gave him the ability to make friends by altering destiny with the pharaohs power.
Dark Side of Dimensions is intentionally based on the manga version because in the manga Kaiba didn't watch the Ceremonial Duel and more readily accepted magic due to literally impossible to ignore events and plot points involving him acknowledging it like the fact the Duel Disk was originally created to attempt to keep Pegasus from reading his mind via distance.
That's why he made the duel disk? That's actually really interesting lore.
@@remrad4315 Would that imply Pegasus and Seto dueled before? I'm not sure how he'd have any knowledge of what Pegasus can do.
@naos8116 they dueled in the duelist kingdom. He had the prototype that Pegasus didn't want to use because of the fact his mind reading had some sort of distance, I guess. He probably secretly bought into the magic thing (that or maybe he thinks cameras) but yeah idk. Makes sense to me though.
@@remrad4315 Oh yeah, forgot the exact sequence of events. His constant denial of magic seems like a dub thing. While he did deny it at first, he seemingly accepted it in the manga because so much stuff happened he can't explain.
It's so weird to me seeing that he wasn't even in the Dawn Of the Duel arc in the manga. He felt natural in the anime. I haven't read the manga but I think I will sometime just to see all the differences

Who would’ve thought that watching this on Saturday mornings would be my introduction into anime, and collect4ing the cards would be something I continue to do as an adult 20 years later. The impact this show had on me cannot be understated

Last time I watched Yu-Gi-Oh was what 2008/2009? That’s almost 15/16 years.. my God I’m so glad I found this video, I was a kid who never really understood the whole story, I don’t even think I watched the final episode. So this was great, brought back so many good memories!

Pyramid of light fits in pretty well tbh right after Battle City
That's when its meant to be set, the issue is Season 4 happens almost immediately after Season 3, leaving really no time for the movie. Also I know this is just nitpicking but we never see Blue Eyes Shining Dragon in the anime in Season 4 or 5

@@Picklei Except Season 4 couldn't happened immediately after Battle City since Mai went to several tournaments afterwards and have waking nightmares for at least weeks before being recruited by DOMA.

According to the wiki pyramid of light is set 3 years after the original battle city tournament and the 2nd battle city tournament that yugi won again
So i don't know if waking the dragons happened before pyramid of light or after it
@@knivez786I believe Pyramid of Light happened after the Grand Championship arc, because on Waking the dragons,Kaiba acted like it was the first time he saw Pegasus since Duelist Kingdome, and in the Pyramid of Light he took his meeting and duel with Pegasus in a more casual way
The pharoah wasn't the one who created the millineum items. It was the pharoahs brother.
Loved watching this, though you got some things wrong about the original reign of Pharaoh Atem. He had no control of the Egyptian Gods originally and he also didn't defeat Zorc, thats why he sealed Zorc and the Thief King into the Millenium Ring, sacrificing himself and his name in order to lock them away. In the world of memories things are different due to his modern world experiences and friends. Also Thief King is nameless. His name isn't Bakura, they only call him that because that's what they've gotten used to from Bakura hosting the evil spirit. The evil spirit says in season 1 "I'm not Bakura" and it's obvious how the name "Bakura" would stick out when everyone else's name in the ancient egypt arc has arab origins.
Also, sidenote, Marik (and also Odion) isn't tattooed, the scripture is etched into his skin with a heated blade.
But I'm a huge Yugioh nerd and don't expect anyone to look that deeply into it haha! Again, great video!

I think Atem didn't originally fused the gods 5000 years ago, that's why he needed to seal Zorc instead, as we see that when he does fuse them after relearning his name during the dark RPG arc the fused being, the creator of light, was able to completely destroy Zorc

Atem doesn't seal dark bakura and zorc at end of dark rpg. Horakhty destroys Zorc who had fused with Dark Bakura's soul.

The whole Dartz/Atlantis arc was so fun to watch yet the lore behind it feels so out of place and just shoved in compared to the rest of YuGiOh Duel Monsters
Its so fun to watch but its also;
"Oh Pharoah you're five thousand years old... well Im TEN THOUSAND YEARS OLD AHA!"
I admire that the arc stuck to it's guns and focussed on big cool dramatic moments rather than try to make everything make perfect sense. It's Yu-Gi-Oh! after all.
Well, it was an anime exclusive arc, along with the Kaiba Corp GP to give the production team enough time to work on the final arc

I might be wrong but Atem/pharaoh doesn't fuse the God's to seal Zorc in the puzzle in the past , this only happens in the RPG when he doesn't seal him but destroys Zorc
This makes me wonder how important dual monsters are in the Yu-Gi-Oh universe. Every series has a couple secret organizations that if they accomplish their goal, they would alter the balance of power in their time for themselves , and they're using dual monsters to accomplish this. At the same time, children are playing the same game for no stakes.
It's like giving a kid, a nuclear bomb and saying go have fun. Except they don't know that it's a nuclear bomb.

It is kinda hard to pin down where yu-gi-oh bonds beyond time takes place due to it time traveling between yu-gi-oh duel monsters yu-gi-oh gx and yu-gi-oh 5ds but it is to pin down yu-gi-oh the movie pyramid of light witch takes place after the events of battle city and before the events of awakening the dragons and the events of dark side of dimensions takes place after the series has finished the yu-gi-oh the movie pyramid of light acts as filler arc side story to tie up any loss ends while yu-gi-oh the movie dark side of dimensions also ties up that the show might have missed

Dark Side of Dimensions is 100% canon to the manga timeline, keep that in mind. It cannot happen in the anime timeline, but Takahashi himself confirmed it happens in the manga's version of events.

although some time did pass were i last watched it, it was actually not the Pharao, but his Brother? (the priest with the millenium eye) who created the millenial items, and as far as i remember out of fear to protect their country, and greed.
Apparently in Japanese the tomb Keepers were actually scarring themselves not tattooing they were all about scarification that explains why Merrick was so dead set against getting revenge

The Pyramid of Light fits in between the end of Battle City and the beginning of Waking the Dragons. Bonds Beyond Time utilizes time travel shenanigans and potentially creates a second Yugi. The Dark Side of Dimensions is actually the end of the Yu-Gi-Oh manga. By the way, will you be doing this for all the shows?
