Some parents are obviously stupid taking very small children close to the horse because you can see the fear in their eyes and this could give the children a fear of horses for the rest of their lives. I know from first hand an episode in my early childhood which has left me with a fear of these magnificent animals. I love watching horses but if one got close I would have to hide until it got by.
The only thing controlling these horses is a bit the reins, and an occasional slight pressure applied to the horses side, i can see and understand the guardsman speaking up when that rule is broken that can lead to a very serious injury. They are real beauties, give them honor.
These Guards must be the most patient and long suffering members of The Military anywhere in The World! How long do they have to sit there and put up with this abuse from Rude Trashy Foreigners?
This particular horse (the one with the white patch on his forehead, that almost looks like a heart), is very friendly, especially with the kids. I've watched other videos with him, and he's been very sweet with them, nuzzling them when they come close.❤
I honestly don't think he could see from the angle he was from their hands - I think he would have shouted for sure had he seen it. The guardsmen and guardswomen seem very protective of their horses when I've seen them.

Sadly, you'd be surprised how many children have never seen a real horse! I had children of my own before I realised how limited some children's lives are! Some have never seen any live animal other than pets. I made sure mine saw as many as I did and thankfully, they all introduced their children to animals when they were very young. Try and spare a thought for those who just haven't been given the opportunity to see horses, cows, sheep, chickens etc. There are more than you think!
A small child grabbed the rein while with Dad. Dad removed her hand several times ( unless it was a repeat). But then Dad grabbed the rein too. Kindness to not yell at or near the child.(in my opinion)
If he had seen it he would have shouted he is not allowed to lose the ability to control his horse - it looked to me that his view is restricted by the horse itself as they are going quite far under the horses neck when grabbing the reins.
Why don’t they pressure wash the area when it’s closing time? I’m sure both the horses, guards, and visitors would be grateful. It must stink to high heaven on hot days. Make the King proud.
The little girl at 18:33 tugged the rein twice, quite sharply! I dont think the guard noticed! I shouted at the screen "Dont touch the reins!" and waited for the guards shout!

The horses demonstrate incredible discipline and patience having to stand there and put up with crying children, pushy people, groping hands, arms being thrust at the horse from all angles, and then the sheer rudeness and stupidity of the tourists who believe they can do and say anything as long as they get that photo op. Perhaps it's time to change tradition, give the horses a much -needed reprieve from this madness, and let the guards sit on ATVs with comfy seats. People could still have their photo ops, but I rather doubt anyone is going to pet an ATV, try to grab the controls, or say rude things to the machine.
@@karenmccann3562 I see this as cruelty to the horses----subjected to fools poking them, shoving themselves at them from all angles, and just being stupid.

Not enough retaliation by the guards for public encroaching in their space. No touching no standing fo photos within 2 meters. Police dogs don't get treated like a petting zoo toy dog Scream in their faces and then they will know.
I think that a lot of these people actually push their children very close to the horse hoping that something will happen to catch it on camera and make a compensation claim.
I know it is necessary for the horses to wear the bridal, reins and bits...but it sure looks like those bits worry the horses to death....makes me really sad for them😢
A friend of mine had braces on her teeth as an adult and she constantly sucked on them and tried to push her tongue into them! She was worse than a child! I'm assuming the horses are doing the same, as they'll have been bridled-up just before they come out.

They need to put a another sign up Do not pet the horse ! What makes people think it's okay to walk up to a strange horse that doesn't know you n pet it.
You need to have a sign on both sides of the horses saying beware horses may kick or bite don’t touch the reigns thank you, because the people who come from the side of the horse that doesn’t have the sign that states horses may kick or bite and not to touch the reigns Would help to keep some of the people from touching the reigns.
Surprised by how tourists are allowed to get so close to the horses and touch them. People are very disrespectful. Amazed by the patience of horse and guard.
A horse is not a dog. You should always ask permission to pet a horse first. The horses here are tolerant and are looking for treats. They seem to like children. This horse breed were chosen for their temperament to perform this particular duty. I like examining the horses for their features and color markings. The female horses have smaller heads. The Irish stock horse is a very calm and tolerant breed, smaller than a thoroughbred and not as high strung. I love them.
In this day and age with as many crazy people in the world, I’m surprised they let them feed the horse at all, could possibly poison the horse, they should have signs up, do not feed the horses

The other day Ii heard n American commeent kn the colour of the skin of one of the Kings Guards "He's Black" to which the guy with the Camera who films everything around the Palace replied "So What" he obviously doesn't know that most Americans are descended from peasants who went in boatloads from Europe to America for better life than the one they had in Europe and if you see the way hey treat their animals in Spaiin they are still incivilized big style. They havee a gentleman who rescues pets who have been beaten and starved and thrown out on the streets in Spaain etc.
That child who was standing next to the horse was too young to do so. These horses are warriors, they are military horses trained to accompany their soldiers in combat.
This guard allows too many people to grab the reins. Perhaps the guards should be required to watch some of these videos so they can see for themselves what they are missing. This should also include views of tourists feeding the horses. So dangerous! So disrespectful!

I know from first hand an episode in my early childhood which has left me with a fear of these magnificent animals. I love watching horses but if one got close I would have to hide until it got by.
Geez, Why do people feel they are allowed to touch!!! The Guard and Horses are not stuffed toys😡
This guard seems like he’s tired of all these people and their BS. Don’t blame him!
Unbelievable!!! Give people a smart phone & their brains are sucked into the device
🎯😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The only thing controlling these horses is a bit the reins, and an occasional slight pressure applied to the horses side, i can see and understand the guardsman speaking up when that rule is broken that can lead to a very serious injury. They are real beauties, give them honor.
These Guards must be the most patient and long suffering members of The Military anywhere in The World! How long do they have to sit there and put up with this abuse from Rude Trashy Foreigners?
I think only for a hour at a time
Yeah, that guard did not shout at tourists for touching the reins. He either was tired, bored, or had something on his mind.
Poor horses 😢
Watching this is a brilliant study in to how sane people can do insane things and still convice themselves they are right and everyine else is wrong.
Unfortunately, it's a feature specific to humans.
Weird times we live in when the Guards have to be guarded by armed officers. Sure those swords are ceremonial but you could still run someone through.
Daniel Wall
Heard of terrorists, that's why they are there, and follow the the 5 foot guards marching from Wellington Baracks to Windsor Castle when Changing the Guard
@ii.jordin Incorrect. They don’t need to be armed to “control” the public. They are armed to protect the soldiers who are not, save for the sword. The point still stands however.
After the murders of British soldiers by the IRA,and 7/7, security was increased.
@@jamjardj1974I think they do. Sadly, terrorists don't wear hats announcing who or what they are. Our armed police do a valiant job to keep the public safe - as well as fully uniformed soldiers and their horses...
I really believe that the horses like most of the people, it’s the few that abuse them. It’s them that need to be more considerate to the horse. It’s just inconsiderate. I was born in london used to see them a lot when I lived there they need to be treated with the respect that they deserve.
Hey, I'm glad i watched, I learned a lot just from the comment Craig left in the comment area, with some very detailed and good information. So, my time was not wasted.
I am Canadian, I can't image someone touching a mountain police, their hat or their horse!
Why can hundreds of people touch that poor horse so many times?
People don't all read English! Why not make signs on the brick, instead of writing? Simple and clear for all! ❤
Grazie.
It’s so nice the children get to see the beautiful horses and the guards !!!!
People act like they've never saw a horse before. I can't believe there are so many ignorant people that do things like this. Do they really think the horse an rider is there for them to look at an put their hands all over. It's not done for entertainment.
Well, it's partly entertainment. It's to make Britain look good & to get respect from the public.
@@SimpleLifeAlways81 “partly entertainment”, “….to make Britain look good…”? These are elite soldiers, very highly trained, as are the horses. This isn’t the British Disneyland 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Guarda lerdo!!!
Miss behaving turists should be chased out of town. Some are just despicable. Cheers
Why isn’t the guard yelling at the ones holding the rein.
Because when they do that he doesn’t have full control of the horse.
Don't think he saw it as they were holding out of his view - think he would have yelled for sure had he seen it.
I misread the comment. I saw that he didn’t yell at a couple of people. One had two kids and once was a female. Not sure why. Sorry I read that wrong.
@@brendal9976 don't worry about it , the excitement got the better of you.
Because she's a nicer guard, that's why.
This one particular Guard didn't say a word when multiple people grabbed the reins!
A small child grabbed the rein while with Dad. Dad removed her hand several times ( unless it was a repeat). But then Dad grabbed the rein too. Kindness to not yell at or near the child.(in my opinion)
@Elizabeth Cave A girl with long hair grabbed them numerous times too and the guard didn't say anything.
@@carriehellyer1777 Yes, exactly my point.
The guard was probably pi**ed off with telling people @@carriehellyer1777.
I heard that some muckymuck complained about the guards yelling and they can’t yell anymore… well you see how the tourists don’t respond anymore
What is up with this Guard??? How many more people and even a child, is he going to allow to hold on to the reins with no reprimand!!! 😕😠😠😠
If he had seen it he would have shouted he is not allowed to lose the ability to control his horse - it looked to me that his view is restricted
by the horse itself as they are going quite far under the horses neck when grabbing the reins.
The horse stands guard a hour at a time look it up
Why don’t they pressure wash the area when it’s closing time? I’m sure both the horses, guards, and visitors would be grateful. It must stink to high heaven on hot days. Make the King proud.
The little girl at 18:33 tugged the rein twice, quite sharply! I dont think the guard noticed! I shouted at the screen "Dont touch the reins!" and waited for the guards shout!
I don't care what they complain about you should not be "feeding the horses anything no matter what other people are doing its still very wrong of this twit to complaming like a "spoit brat" he is supposed to be a "grown man for goodness sake. If someone told him to put his hand in the fire, "would he do that then.
They wouldn't be 'HorseGuards' then though, would they?
@@karenmccann3562 I see this as cruelty to the horses----subjected to fools poking them, shoving themselves at them from all angles, and just being stupid.
The Kings Guard are on duty! The men, women and horses stand guard to the entrance of the Ministry of Defense building, which is still there! Go to Google and read all about these British soldiers, they are not ornamental! For USA citizens, they have the same responsibilities as do the Marines who stand guard at our government buildings!!
These are the most bomb proof horses ever....thank goodness the guards put people in their place when people grab the reins! Dont touch the horse!!!! Its working!!!!!
Nice, no shouting today. Soo many people, they certainly are a tourist attraction. Today's horse's seemed more settled and guards more relaxed. People are strange around the horse's. Do these horses go to the Norfolk beach to have a well deserved break i wonder? Seen military horse's up here before, but not sure if they are the same.
They go to Holkham in Norfolk for a holiday you can find it on line they go in the sea and so do the riders 🐎🐎❤️❤️
@@avrilyaxley2084 ah yes it must be them that I've seen there then. It's quite wonderful to see. They look like they are all enjoying themselves so much. Thank you. 😊
Why the heck are there no "Keep Hands Off Reins!". Sign???
They do add it later, but people still do it
Do not let turiist bother you. They might have black pepper lemon or mint sent on their hand. Just stupid people who bother the horse. Charge when is tyme to run. Cheers. God Bless King Charles de 3rd. Cheers
Rewatched wasted time never did see what the guard did to this man 🥴
guard did nothing to the man, total waste of time.
The man is notorious for feeding Horses and this time the Guard refused it feeding his Horse and he felt very bad and took photos of the Guard. Now rewatched it again and see for yourself.
The police should keep the area free from people getting so close!
Not enough retaliation by the guards for public encroaching in their space. No touching no standing fo photos within 2 meters.
Police dogs don't get treated like a petting zoo toy dog
Scream in their faces and then they will know.
Why has nobody told the guard that the chain has got unattached?
And you will not believe how bored I was waiting for it to happen.
When did it happen? Was it worth waiting for? I got fed up waiting. 😟
@@aileensochon7500 no
Why didn't the guy taping this tell the guard that his horse's chain was disconnected when he zoomed in ?
I noticed they changed the sign (not that people read it) to include don't touch the reigns. Not in this video but more recent ones.
Why are people so obsessed with the horses & hell bent on touching the horses?
Ask them!?
Yes!
I think that a lot of these people actually push their children very close to the horse hoping that something will happen to catch it on camera and make a compensation claim.
They can't claim diddly squat. The signs are big enough. Let's sacrifice our children to the great horse.
As there is sign warning the horse could kick or bite, they wouldn’t win a claim.
This guard is allowing people to hold the reins. Why is he ignoring this?
These Horses are so intelligent they are even careful round children
I know it is necessary for the horses to wear the bridal, reins and bits...but it sure looks like those bits worry the horses to death....makes me really sad for them😢
A friend of mine had braces on her teeth as an adult and she constantly sucked on them and tried to push her tongue into them! She was worse than a child! I'm assuming the horses are doing the same, as they'll have been bridled-up just before they come out.
They don't like bits for sure. There are bridals with reins without bits people can use for pleasure riding
That “DRIVES ME CRAZY MAD‼️😤😠😡🤬🤯😳‼️”
See the empty plastic water bottles in the corner info the Supervisor?? there stuffed into the corner near where the Horse stands….. you just have to look 👀 for them…… eeeeeerrrrrrr why can’t these SLOBS throw their garbage 🗑 away properly……. 😬🙄😮💨😲😮💨okay I’m better now that I got that out of my system 😂😂
I don't understand this. I was under the impression that the horses and guards were not to be bothered, touched, etc..Why are these idiots being allowed to do this?
People are holding the horses reigns! Your not supposed to hold them its not allowed under any circumstances!
You just know now and then the guards are tempted to not so gently tap the idiots on their necks with their sword.
They need to put a another sign up Do not pet the horse ! What makes people think it's okay to walk up to a strange horse that doesn't know you n pet it.
Poor horse looks like it wants to sleep
Woman in orange top playing follow the LEADER or WHAT, RUDE
People don’t understand that you don’t touch the reins of a person’s horse it’s the same as grabbing a steering wheel when someone else is driving
Look at those tourists earwigging on the king’s guardsmen conversation. Rude, very rude, should stand clear.
Is the guard alright ? People are all on the horse's reigns and not a peep or movement out of him.
Touching the guards and horses is a big no no, tourists should have more respect for the guards and horses while they are on duty.
You need to have a sign on both sides of the horses saying beware horses may kick or bite don’t touch the reigns thank you, because the people who come from the side of the horse that doesn’t have the sign that states horses may kick or bite and not to touch the reigns Would help to keep some of the people from touching the reigns.
They need guard dogs that are raised around the horses. And is alert to dangers all those crazy people bring with them.
Surprised by how tourists are allowed to get so close to the horses and touch them. People are very disrespectful. Amazed by the patience of horse and guard.
There is a very clear sign next to thehorse saying he/she may kick or bite. Why are people so ignorant?
A horse is not a dog. You should always ask permission to pet a horse first. The horses here are tolerant and are looking for treats. They seem to like children. This horse breed were chosen for their temperament to perform this particular duty.
I like examining the horses for their features and color markings. The female horses have smaller heads. The Irish stock horse is a very calm and tolerant breed, smaller than a thoroughbred and not as high strung. I love them.
It is not wise to touch a dog without owner's consent Not all dogs are friendly with strangers !!
Why did the guard not shout at them who were really messing with the rains should be a sighn no touching horses
The guard on the right end let several people hold the reins without yelling at them.
It looks like the gentleman unhooked it
In this day and age with as many crazy people in the world, I’m surprised they let them feed the horse at all, could possibly poison the horse, they should have signs up, do not feed the horses
Poor Poor horse and Gaurds man day in and day out listening to all the tourists speaking in different languages I would go crazy 🤪 and I am watching it tourists have know idea or care so sad 😢
Is de groene et bik de nieuwe attractie van Engeland, of marktplaats?
i will love to learn some of the peope manners and learn the horses for a good bite. i miss my horses and but before i die i will get on one again. You horses are beautyful. keep up the good work. i am from SOUTH AFRICA
I think these 2 guards need to be reminded that the people are not allowed to touch the reins, i saw 3 people touching them.
Every time somebody touches the reins I'm like... GET OFF THE REINS!!!...UGH...😠
Wonder why the Guard isn't saying something?🤔
Deus abençoe todos os guardas.
This guard allows too many people to grab the reins. Perhaps the guards should be required to watch some of these videos so they can see for themselves what they are missing. This should also include views of tourists feeding the horses. So dangerous! So disrespectful!
He didn’t do anything to that man.
Does anyone know how long these Soldiers have on Duty per day???? Do they rotate between Guard Horse Duty …..????? Over to standing Gate Guars Duty….????
Just wondering 💭 how long their Day is????? Thanks 😊
@lindapugliese
The Horses and Soldiers rotate every 2 hours throughout the day and the same goes for the other soldiers standing guard on there own.

Do the police push people behind line?I mean as soon as they come through gate
Who was the impressive female soldier?
There was a girl at the left hand horse and she gave the reins a good tug! But the guard said nothing. Maybe hr didnt notice!
