Howard is truly a foremost authority on Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin. Jimmy did a lot of layeringI and tricks in the studio that are virtually impossible for one guitarist to replicate. His live performance replications are authentic and sound great!
You have a great channel to help me out with. I just got an “Old Kraftsman” archtop acoustic about 1960 that I am modifying with electric pickups, Bigsby and setting up for slide guitar. It was pretty beat up, not much value stock so perfect to hot rod it.
I gave up guitar playing 40 years ago because I sucked at it. Didn't matter how much i practiced. Was gonna get married so I sold my bass and bought an R/C plane instead!!
Quel genio di page usava spesso accordature aperte... È possibile secondo me però fare una trascrizione dello spartito.... Trasporto su tonalità in A no?
Off topic: I saw your EVH video got taken down. Hope I get a chance to see it. I know you were HEAVILY influenced by the icon and remember you telling me about their shows in Pasadena, just raving and wanting to take me to see him, but I was under 21 and couldn’t go :-( I finally got my chance at US Festival. Hope you’re well and taking this huge loss in stride my friend! Be well Howard!
It was just a little "tip of the hat" to Eddie that I thought I'd post for the day. I was influenced more by the players who came before him - But I really enjoyed his playing, and definitely learned a lot of his stuff along the way... He was hard to ignore :-) Stay safe and well!
Thought this was the tune by Robert Johnson.(I can fake it on slide, very much like Rollin'&Tumblin' by Muddy). Any way wasn't a huge Zep fan, only owned ZoSo (Also called 4 or Runes album).
The one in the video is just a standard glass slide. But my preference is a brass pinky slide... But I left it at my teaching studio :-) The slide on the ring finger is best for TR Blues
EXCELENTE, Master!!!! Super claro, a buen ritmo y completo. GRAN labor. GRACIAS! Y me suscribo.

Hi - The slide used in the video is a Dunlop glass slide, medium :-)
