Great tutorial, I have follow the instructions to change image when an action is pressed, however the light goes on and then off. This is for the AP in BAE146.

I don't have that plane .. maybe search the online snippets for any device that has AP control for the Typhoon and then look at what is programmed for it
Now I have a new question. This time regarding the Fenix and how to bind lvars from this plane. I am trying to use my Streamdeck plus to control the FCU and EFIS panels but the lvars associated to these panels do not show up in SpadNext. I can see them all in the xml-file for the plane. Any idea how to resolve this?
join the Discord -- link your license and go into the Fenix Channel.. LVARs have always been working and the examples and people that support it are all there helping each other. Make sure you have the updated LVAR Bridge.. Make Sure you are loaded in the plane and it fully operational .. Go to the Data Monitor press update LVARs.. Then go in and add the ones your looking for.
@@LesOReilly Thank you for a quick response. I was quite sure shat I had the updated lvar bridge and had updated the lvars from the data monitor. But obviously not.... I did as you suggested an now it's working. Again, thank you 🙂
How do I get the existing profile from the stream deck + to show up on spad? I have the flight panels download on the plus, but it doesnt show up in spad. Sorry for the elementary questions, but Im just learning. As Ive mentioned, Im a hardware kind of guy, so this software stuff makes me feel like an idiot.
Did you enable stream deck support in Spad? Did you setup a blank profile in stream deck software? Spad takes control of the stream deck. There is no plug in or button config done in the stream deck. You also can’t import anything from other software vendors - ie if you’re using something meant for AAO or whatever other application that is not going to go into Spad.
@@LesOReilly ….okay. Yes, I enabled support. Yes, on blank profile. May be that it cant “see” whatever is already on the SD+. I just assumed it could see any existing button commands etc. This is why I struggle so much with this. Ask me to physically build a simulator, and Im into my shop to start fabricating. Ask me to setup a profile and I feel completely lost. Im trying though. Thats why I had requested a tutorial on building a comms/radio panel for the SD+. At 50 I still need my hand held sometimes. LOL
Would you be willing to do a tutorial on creating comms on the SD+? My personal request is on for the Fenix a320, but any tutorial on creating VHF, NAV etc on the SD+, and would include the frequency etc in the digital screen display would be awesome. Im a hardware guy, so a tutorial like this would be huge for me to get up and running. I would gladly donate to your channel. Dont expect it for free. Just let me know. Thanks

I have created an action on one of the knobs below the display. I want the display to show different images, based on which action has been selected on the button below. Is this possible, like what can be done for normal buttons?. I have not found out how this can be done. Is this actually possible or is there any workaround?
It is done identically. You have the mage replaced based on an action. Link that to the data variable that you want it to be associated with. The download snippet and example shows doing this using a local variable. Replace that with say landing lights variable and change the press to send landing lights toggle instead of the current assigned data change of the local variable.
@@LesOReilly Thank you for a quick response! What confused me was the "target" field when editing the layermode. This field seems to list only the oridinary buttons but as I have found out this parameter can be ignored and just select the "layer" option
You find them in the ONLINE SNIPPETS .. so just like shown in many videos .. you download the device snippet in spad next. In this exact video see the chapter 11:16 - Online Snippet Example Page
@StewCal65 yes my understanding is that it programs the same. The difference is it uses the plug-in system with loupe deck instead of taking over the complete device like with stream deck.
@NabilAviator737 it’s not the event list. When you add event there is change data. Then send event then a few more in the drop down you will see pause there.

Awesome glad it is useful .. I have been slow to post anything on it cause I use if for audio stuff :) hahahah so it was never setup in SPAD.

Changing images should be tied to the state of a variable not the pressing of the button.

Now I know why there's purchasable premium profiles available...this is a ton of work for programming functions for complex aircraft like the 737

No you can not. Stream deck is complete edition only.

I have only ever used spad next. I have been using since 2015 and have had no need to seek additional software for my hardware.

Are there any plans to integrate Loupedeck in a similar way to Sreamdeck?
I believe they have it in beta testing currently.
