Sheriff: Mom calls 911 after teen on way to school notices woman’s body from school bus window

- Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said a woman in her 30s or 40s was found dead along a road near Highway 90 and Highway 211.
Thank god that the young woman had a presence of mind to not only notice something out of the ordinary but to call her mom and tell her .
I think the young lady should have called it in herself. “I think I saw a dead body. I better call my mom.” Then the mom goes out to see for herself? That’s weird.

usually teens are glued to their cell phones so it was like a miracle that this teen was looking out the window

Lots of ground between the "tree line" and the road. I don't think it's a hit an run. They would have been doing 100mph+ to throw a body that far.
Lots of people being hit lately in my area being pedestrians where they should not be. On freeways, on on and off ramps. Crossing state routes with poor lighting and high traffic.

May not have realized it was a person. We had an older lady that had hit what she thought was a deer at around 2 in the morning. It was a one lane no sidewalk no street light country type road and as she came over a hill she hit something. Being older and dark she went home and called the non emergency line to report she thought she had hit a dear. She hit a kid on a skateboard. Don't ask me why he was out at that time of night on a skate board. It was in the news paper as a hit and run. But finally someone came across her call at the sheriff's office that was recorded and figured out it was her and it was purely an accident. Horribly sad.
I hope that the young girl is getting the right support. That's something no child should ever see.
God bless this young lady for having seen this and the mom for acting on her daughter’s call. I pray, this will not affect your life in a negative way.🙏

I sounds to me like the woman was out running and was hit by a car and thrown into the trees by the collision. Kudos to the kid for being responsible and calling her mom. Kudos to the mom for believing her kid.

It sounds like she was wearing dark clothing and might not have been very visible at night. I can see someone accidentally hitting her walking on the shoulder and then taking off without stopping bc let's face it, half the drivers in Bexar County are uninsured or drunk or both.
If it is dark and you can't tell what you hit the most likely answer is not a person. Do you call the cops to check every skunk or deer on the side of the road? Might be manslaughter, but it might not even be a charge if this woman was running in a place where pedestrians aren't supposed to be, or expected to be.

They identified her through fingerprints. Lucinda Gutierrez Delgado. They still don’t know if she was jogging or dumped but she was too far off of road to look like simple hit and run…

Sounds like the victim might have been a runner, possibly hit by a car as she ran along the shoulder of the road. (By the looks of it, very little shoulder) That young lady who called her mom, has a head on her shoulders and pays attention to her surroundings. That girl needs the entire community to commend her as an example for her peers to follow.
That doesn't even remotely look like the type of place you would go running especially at night as a woman alone. No way you are running during the day and vehicles aren't seeing you even with the narrow shoulder. Plus, it's still homicide if you hit a person and keep going.

@@lilcat6091 They never released how she died. They Identified her almost immediately and then they never announced what happened or how her body ended up there. Her funeral already took place which means her body was released. All it says is her body showed signs of trauma and gun death was ruled out.

The person is dead…..it’s ok to say what race the person is instead of saying there’s a black ink tattoo, and black hair in pony tails.
Other reports have stated that the body is in the early stages of decomposition, and had trauma. It's possible that they aren't certain of race.
if im looking for loved one, i dont want people to be calling them a white person or a hispanic person. thatll throw me off. maybe itll satisfy u, a stranger who dont personally know the victim. but it affects those who are looking for their daughter, mother, or sister. race is more ambiguous than u think.

Similar thing happened close to my house a few years ago. Early morning and the lady school bus driver came to pick up my son - she was crying and almost hysterical. Told me she was pretty sure she had seen a woman’s body in the field at the top of the hill on a county road. We got her calmed down and on her way to school with my son. I went up the CR to the top of the hill and sure enough a woman’s body was in the ditch. She had her head stuffed in a purse and gasoline poured on her - body pretty badly burnt. A black “professional” lady from down in Dallas - three illegal Mexicans were arrested for her murder. Apparently they had quite a bit of blood on themselves they couldn’t explain to the McKinney cops. 🤷🏻
How is this possible? I continually have a weatherman pop up in my feed telling me that "Everyone in McKinney is dead."

If she was jogging, as someone suggested, and someone hit her they had to have known it. To hit someone accidentally is one thing, but then to go off and leave them is a crime. I hope she is at peace no matter what happened. So very, very sad. 😢

Years ago my sister was riding the school bus when a friend said. “I’m so sorry your brother was in an accident last night. I heard it on the news.” My sister got OFF the bus, ran home and told mom. Sure enough, she called the hospital and he was admitted. The nurse asked if he had been to a concert with a bunch of guys. Mom didn’t know. “Well, three of the guys were dead on arrival.” Mom ran to the hospital and found my brother was NOT with them, but was being treated for injuries from a wreck.
That's not how that happens though. They don't release identification to the public until next of kin has been notified first.

I would assume this was a hit and run base on her attire, she may have been out jogging and someone may have ran her over and never stopped.
Even if it's a hit and run it should be manslaughter. Absolute indifference to life if someone hits somone and leaves. That poor kid. I remember seeing my first dead body at 8 years old. Still get flashbacks. But it was a drowning in the ocean and crabs had... I'll leave it there. But too much for a kid.

Sounds like hit and run, jogging gear, out for a run and hit by car and the driver panicked and moved the body off road
Sunday May 5: SAN ANTONIO - A woman whose body was found along U.S Highway 90 near Highway 211 has been identified.
The Bexar County Medical Examiner has identified the woman as 44-year-old Lucinda Delgado.
According to BCSO, the cause of her death has not been determined yet.
Hopefully they identify the lady and reach out to the family and loved one,whom are worried sick
So basically both plausible answers presented to us both fit the definition of a homicide?

We already 'know' it is foul play....at a place like that you would not find someone out just 'walking'..... probably been abducted and killed.....unfortunately way to many women are abducted and discarded every week. *luckily for this woman her body was found and hopefully they can solve the crime and nail those guilty of this crime.

According to several articles, the body was in a state of decomposition and had physical trauma. Both of those can make it difficult to determine color/race. At any rate, she's already been identified.

I would never go jogging even on a neighborhood road. It's way extremely dangerous especially nowadays that many careless drivers continue to use their phones while driving, not to forget drunkards.

Dear KSAT, if you're going to post your videos on YT, seen by people from not just your small area but all around the WORLD, please at least at the end of the video's title, say the name of the town and state. This young woman could have been kidnapped from another state while out running, killed and pushed out of the car or truck. It's been happening forever-in every state. This poor girl---somebody has to be missing her; a family, friends, coworkers. I hope people pay attention to the great details, down to how she wore her hair!

Did the women (the victim) not even have a wallet on her? If so than it's more likely she wasn't just jogging. If her house is nearby she would at least have house keys on her. Doesn't seem homeless from the description.
