Yes! Cast it on! You want it! Says the knitting devil on your left shoulder😂 Thanks for your continuing vlogs Rebecca. You warm my Grinchy heart😂❤😂 ps your hair is FAB!
Lovely cozy episode, glad to see you in better spirits. That mansion, wow! Do you know more of its history? So beautiful; I love your early morning walks with the dog. The little Anis wreaths are so sweet, I think I need some too! Your hair and makeup looked beautiful to me (straight, flat hair pale girl myself), I love the wild curls😊. That red colour 😮, divine. Definitely need that in your wardrobe soon! And your dog crossing his paws on the armrest 😂, cuteness overload. Mine does that too sometimes. They are such funny little creatures.
Not a whole lot, it was built in the 1600s (although has been remodelled since) and was mostly the family home of the Dalrympes. That's about all I've got! They have great boards with info on them so I'll make sure to stop and read one for another fun fact next time.
Enjoy your friends! Just wanted to tell you that I watched Selma of Little Big Knits and she was RAVING about the Staffin vest.. it looked lovely on her and she just said how fun it was to knit and how well written the pattern was..❤
What a gorgeous place to go for a walk! So pretty. Love the merlot colour yarn, definitely cast that on! The little stars are going to look cute. And those folded paws! So lovely!
Yep...cast it on! Raglan. I like round yoke and raglans. I dont really like drop shoulder construction. Doesnt work with my bodyshape. Makes me look to masculine. I only do drop shoulder if I can do it sleeveless with a few rows of ribbing.
Your dog reminds me of our black lab she was very clever and had lovely silky shiny fur 😊but no longer with us😢. Have a great weekend with your friends 🎉
Your puppy is so cute 🥰 I wonder if carrying a personal alarm would make you feel safer walking through the woods??? Not that you should have to. I'm always amazed by how much you get done in a day.😁
I don't love a cowboy! I was going to buy Chelsea Yarns advent this year, then I saw it was a cowboy theme and I thought, nevermind! Enjoy your holiday guests! Everything looks great!
Oh no! I didn't even notice. To be fair my entire understanding of cowboys comes from modern romance novels so it's possible that it's not completely accurate...
@@the.creabea , you're allowed all of the fantasies! :). I am so impressed by how much you get done. And I enjoy your vlogmas, because it's interesting to see how you balance EVERYTHING. And it cracked me up when you got that gorgeous red yarn and you desperately remarked, "oh, no, I think I'm going to cast something new on. I can feel it." As a fellow obsessive, I understand how you aren't always in control. :D
Hi Rebecca, what about knitting a turtle neck Tolsta with your beautiful wool ? Thanks so much for your vlogs, I find them super inspiring.I would be terrified walking in the dark like you do in the mornings.... very brave!!
Wait, what was the name of the pemberly house you walk near? Did you say? Not stalking you (it would be a very long swim), I have memories of Anglesey Abbey when I was little-er. One big estate May look very much like another.
As a Frenchie mom I chuckled at your comment about small dogs. That’s my Frenchie and why she’s not allowed off leash. She is a rescue and we are guessing she wasn’t socialised much before we got her, we’ve tried training her to behave with other dogs (both my sisters dogs were great stooges for training) but it’s made no difference and madam still thinks she has to introduce herself to other dogs by launching herself at their face snarling 😏
I think I was feeling especially ticked off after meeting a very snarly spaniel and there are plenty of very well trained little dogs, but usually with big dogs you just cant get away with them being badly behaved because they'll end up bowling over a small child! We have 4 frenchies that are let loose close to us and they are wild little things. It takes their owner at least 20 minutes of hollering at them to get them to go back inside.
@ lol I moan about all dogs that are off leash and come running at us with their owner shouting “it’s ok they are friendly” yeah well mines not 😂 My little Sassypants likes playing catch me if you can, another reason she’s not allowed off leash as she just runs around me, even in the house to get her harness and leash on, you have to chase her first. 😂
Ohhhhhhhh I take huge unbridgeable at that comment about spaniels, if well trained they are the best absolutely best , mine is almost seven sits beside me watching your podcast pooooooorrrrr Lunna Not a nice thing to say about spaniels, such a shame you made that comment as it’s uncalled form you
Most definitely! They're wonderful working dogs. There seem to be a LOT near us that are very cute and have no training. They always end up being the ones that snap, snarl and jump. But I have absolute faith that there are perfectly wonderful spaniels out there. Just like there are black labs that are complete terrors
I love your dog. So cute sitting on the couch watching tv with you.
That merlot color is gorgeous!

Awww this is lovely, thank you!

Her vest is BEAUTIFUL!
Scrappy sweaters are the best !

I’m so glad you took us past Pemberly & that you did Lady Catherine!
That pastry shop looks dangerous 😂
Luckily they only open Thursday-Sunday!
Your Lady Catherine made me laugh out loud 🤣
Yes Cast on!!! You could do a speedy lento!! Love the vlogs!
That shop looks delicious, and that walk is out of a movie! I love your dog, he is adorable! … and your right about little dogs (I have two)😅
Luckily the shop is only open a few days a week or it would be delicious and dangerous!

Beautiful walk!
Your Vlogmas is my favourite! I feel like we’d be friends…bonding over knitting and cowboys 😂
My two great loves (at least this week)
Yes the burgundy is so pretty and maybe tolsta… love 💕
Your dog reminds me of our black lab she was very clever and had lovely silky shiny fur 😊but no longer with us😢. Have a great weekend with your friends 🎉
He's so shiny! People ask what shampoo we use and we have to tell them he just gets rinsed in cold water
Fashionable witch 😂 mine looks like a dandelion clock in its natural state 😂😂
Btw!! You can baste the hexies to the paper with a glue stick instead of thread :) makes it soooooo much quicker
I've seen it! But I kind of like the thread iption. Feels meditative
@ I totally respect that and agree it’s meditative!! Love how your hexies are coming along so far
Rebecca you stashed Advent 6 on your new bookshelf a grey/brown after 3 yellows
IT'S STILL THERE!
Cast on! Cast on! 🧶🙋🏻♀️I vote for raglan - is a cowl neck or funnel neck an option?
Your puppy is so cute 🥰
I wonder if carrying a personal alarm would make you feel safer walking through the woods??? Not that you should have to.
I'm always amazed by how much you get done in a day.😁
It probably would! I think I'm more scared of ghosts than I am of there being an actual person there
@@the.creabea Ha ha! in that case, you'll be fine. 😂
As a parent of 2 mini schnauzers, I'm offended because it's true! 😂😂😂😂
They're so cute though!

I have a hoodie on my needles in merlot such a rich colour
Ohhh cosy!

I was actually thinking of making a round neck and then making a cowl in the same yarn combo to make it a turtle neck sometimes? If that makes sense
@@the.creabea That's an inspired idea! Love it.
I ve been trying to work out where you are we re Corstorphine but am not recognising ur walks but they’re lovely
Lovely video again! Will you share your ramen recipe? :)

What music did you play today. The voice sounded like one of the actors on a British mystery TV program.
I have such a silly question! Is that English Paper Piecing?
Yup!
That house may have been in The Prime Minister series last season…
Apparently it's an Outlander location!
Is it a private house?
It’s owned by the national trust
That Merlot…
