    3 questions
    (1) How long should be the cable wire for either165 or 200 ? 2ft
    (2) should it be mono (single) cord or multi cord and what should it’s breaking strength ?
    (3) What should be the minimum breaking strength of the braided line?
How long (what length) should you run the line to get the maximum depth and at what speed ?
Thank you I just got down 10 Nomad DTX I am an angler from Sri Lanka

I rigged a couple of 200mm DTX’s with multistrand cable. If using a reel spooled with braid as my main line should I use a mono shock leader in between?

Any reason not to do a barrel swivel to the split ring and then crimp, so you can swap your leaders in an out from steel to Mono, Flouro etc. with the barrel and not worry about the split ring grabbing the leader. Also easier to swap them from lure to lure?

I used single strand to the tow point with no split ring and it doesn’t swim right, will adding the split ring fix that? Thanks

The dtx gets bites but after 1 fish you can through it away, it pull side ways and jumps out of water I've saw this happen on a lot of the dtx lures, it only takes a hit from a barracuda and its done, I would stick with the mad Mac and put a big treble hook on the belly helps out big time with hook up ratio

Why does Nomad not sell their lures with an inline hooks instead of treble hooks? Does Nomad have an recommended inline hook replacement chart?

And you do tie to the ring. I've been told to troll both with and without it. Seems it would have much better action with the ring...

You should start marketing these to muskie fishermen in the U.S. and Canada

I would put a solid ring on, cable can slip in split ring.

I have never seen anyone tying a uni knot like this. Almost looks like a San Diego jam knot because he is not doing the wraps through a loop held open, but around the doubled line, and then through the loop in the end. Also I thought the Uni is wrapped away from the lure, not towards the lure.

A welded ring would be better so the wire doesn't slip through the split ring.

Why do you have practically no barb on those hooks? Ive lost so many strikes on these things.....great lures but crappy hooks in my book...

I have had the same problem with decreased landing rates as the barbs on the BKK hooks are almost like trolling with barbless hooks. I think Nomad has switched to a heavier barb this year but that does not help the unfortunate customers with older models. I have tried to contact Nomad for replacement hooks with no reply.

East Cape Guides Sportfishing I switch the BKKs with VMC inline 4x singles on all my minnows and they have a significantly larger barb

William Rike I have been switching them out to the Mustad Kaiju. I did receive a response from Nomad and they basically told me if I didn’t like the hooks to switch them out. Really disappointed considering the high prices of these lures that they could not pick better hook.
