    Hey man I love in Mackay QLD and I’d like to say the lures have been selling out fast they are good quality and really good value for money. I have one request though please don’t discontinue the Nucular Coral trout pattern it’s purple with pinks spots the colour variation is deadly for multiple fish species I’ve personally purchased a dozen of these lures I love them.

      Purple / pink always seems to kill it over in north wa as well.

    I am always confused on the rigging....I usually use 16' of #8 or #9 bright wire. Some of the locals here always swear by the 16' length so that the terminal tackle such as snap swivels are not in view of the fish as he comes in to analyze the bait before attacking. Others use 4' of single strand and have success. I would much rather have 4' for the handling benefit. Seems that the single strand wire would cut the water better than the mono, benefit being going deeper and swimming better as less drag than let's say 150 to 220# mono leader.
    The stranded cable seems a bit much and even more drag? What say you?

    How many feet would you recommend for the leader length? I use between 10 feet and 15 feet.

    So I have both these lures and I went trolling last time, the Madmacs was running perfectly but the DTX minnow kept getting wild and jumping out the surface, diving hard to one side then back on the surface. Tried trolling 8kts all the way to 14kts and it would swim fine for a few then just get wild. 175lb wire on both. Any suggestions? Cheers

    Why don't they paint the hooks black

  • @alreinauer2
    @alreinauer2 3 года назад +5

    Improvement needed on the hooks. These fish need better barbs to prevent lost catch. Otherwise I demand a nomad is in my spread.

      I usually crush my Barbs on trolling lures to increase survability if I choose to release, never had much of an issue as long as you constantly keep your tip up.

    Ay had a 1800# white shark on me Madmacs 200 and it tore it up pretty badly. Do you make any titanium lures?

    Why dont you use a HD snap swivel?

    • @NomadTackle
      @NomadTackle  Год назад +1

      Its all about having a clean connection to get the most of the system. HD snap swivels create drag and turbulence. Not to say they don't work, just that you'll get more speed and depth with a clean connection.

      DTX 140 and 165 - these models run at a slower speed. Colour preference pinks and purples

    If I rigged the 120 DTX without wire, would #80 suffice? Or go up to #100?

    • @NomadTackle
      @NomadTackle  7 месяцев назад +1

      would recommend 60-80lb mono/fluoro on the smaller DTXs

    I just bought 2 Madmacs 8" size for Bluefin tuna fishing along with 80lbs Panderra Braid. Can I tie the Braid straight to the wire or fluoro like these rigs? Or should I run some mono before the rig?

    • @ronthor5621
      @ronthor5621 2 года назад +1

      I’m my experience mono seems to get bit more. Im running a 10 foot leader of floral now and I get bit a lot more than with straight braid or mono. Pacific coast fishing. good luck tight lines

    Halco all day over these, less than half to 1/3rd the price and perform fanastically. Not donating thrse to North West WA sharks for $35-45 a pop!
