A fun theory I have actually for around 5:01 is that if you do entirely seal off the entire walls, you could use those horse/cart pullup system to go down/up the walls. So you can still do the expedition and reclaim land while also being entirely safe. :D

Whatching a theory of season 1 after the end of the series, it's really funny and at the same time sad, that another legendary series ended.
Its been ages and we have so much more info nowadays, but its funny now to see math being done about this series being set geographically in either "Germany or North America" when the actual reveal is that it takes place in their universes equivalent to Madagascar.
If you went back in time, said "its in madagascar" and just didnt elaborate that would be really funny

The whole idea of making Paradisians stay inside was King Fritz's, and the Founding Titan passed it on for 100 years. So MatPat's probably a propagandist for the previous Paradis monarchy.

To be fair, his theory would still hold up if we assume that the titans would never break into more of the walls. But then we all know that it's not possible. Season 2 casually debunks this whole theory in its first episode cause we learn that even though titans cannot break the walls Zeke could still climb and turn Eldians into fresh pure titans from inside the walls practically for free.

It was actually Madagascar, and no they couldn't just seal the gates and wait for years because a certain nation would proceed with their plans. Afterall the colossal and armored titan did not attack that day randomly.
First of all they live in the districts, not the wall itself, so thats why they have to take the outside walls because they stay in the districts, lands filled with the cities thats why eren and mikasa had to go outside to get wood because it only grows outside the walls rather than the districts.
even the slightest slipups from the government already caused termoil cramping them into districts is not going to help at all

Even back then, when we "only had titans" I knew there had to be some kind of human/titan hybreed or some titan power at play. Eren transformed early on, it just didn't answer why till season 3. Regardless I don't think the titans were ever going to be the main enemy. I figured it would have went differently, like a small group outside the walls, that controlled titans, but the show demolished all expectations. I didn't think Marley would be that advanced. Even back then the time stamp cards had the map, I could see other places. I knew there was more than we could see.
What about the live stock? The horses at least? Training grounds? Just something i noticed :)
