I keep seeing comments about this so let me clear something up: Every section with manga spoilers is marked as so in the chapters. I also say before each of them the name of the topic, followed by "manga spoilers". This is your warning to move onto the next topic if you don't want to be spoiled. Also, let me just confirm that I don't necessarily agree with everything said in this video. I am simply restating the theories and concepts within this iceberg. Thank you for watching!!
About OST names. Season 1-3 osts were made by Hiroyuki Sawano and he always gives osts weird names, not just in Attack on titans case. Also the rumbling is an intro and they always had regular names, because intros are being made not by sawano. In season 4 composer is Kohta Yamamoto and his doesnt have a habit to give weird names to osts.
@@acstack5665 Same! I literally was just settling into watching the video and couldn’t believe that was the first thing. I literally bought and read the final manga book to go ahead and see how the story ends smh
The Attack Titan berserk mode is a stupid theory. The only reason Eren's Titan looks the way it does during the battle with the Female Titan is to show Eren's anger towards the Female Titan the same way Sasha's eyes took the shape of glowing hearts when Krista brought her food in training camp. They animated her that way to show her love for food not because she went into some feeding mode.
I think it looked like that because when titans heal they have steam coming off of their body, I think his healing at that point accelerated so much to the point where he started burning.
You should read what happened in the manga then. Berserk titan is anime only and a strong evidence for the time loops/aoe theories. As another guy said, they released a poster where eren's bony founding titan has blue eyes and is surrounded by fire like the berserk titian as well.
The berserk mode is not anime only. While Eren was pinned down by Reiner when Shingansina was invaded by Marley, he grabbed his upper jaw as he screams. His titan looks like in berserk mode in that panel.
When eren said that he felt disappointed when he found out there were humans living outside the walls I felt that. Cause if I was living like a bird in a cage thinking it was my whole world, and there were people living outside that world, I would be so angry
This. Eren wasn't disappointed by the existence of other humans because of some genocidal hatred for other people. He was angry because he spent his whole life believing he was reclaiming the world from the titans for humanity. Only to find out that his struggles were basically ignored by the greater world and to an extent caused by it. He desperately wanted freedom only to find out that there will always be people opposing it just for the crime of existing.
I don't think that is the reason. I think he was disappointed because he was expecting a beautiful and unique world outside the walls and he thought he would be free, to only find the same world he left in the walls. He realized the outside world is just the same and their enemies only changed from titans to humans, That is why he says "If we kill all the humans over there, will we finally be free?".
I don't know why people are so blown away by the tall trees. Regular titans only grow up to 15 meters max. The average oak tree is anywhere between 15-25 meters tall, and the older ones can easily reach 30-40 meters. And that's just oaks. Species like Sequoias can grow up to 100 meters in size quite regularly. Sure, the trees in the forest are still anonymously big (or rather thick with really thick branches), and they're especially strange given how many of them there are in such close proximity. But that could easily be chalked up to artistic liberty.
Old growth trees get extremely large, especially conifers. It’s literally just an old growth forest with normal sized trees idk why theres a whole theory about it
We're specifically told during the female titan arc that the trees are 80m tall, and that they are going there because it is the best place to be able to climb up high enough to escape a titans reach, so that's why people think they are especially tall. They were directly told that they were, and that they were special because of it. Reiner and Bert mention resting in them for the same reason during the clash of the titans arc. Later, It is literally mentioned by Zeke that the forests of giant trees are only found on the island, and are a "natural world wonder" that he would like to show to Gabby and Falco. So that's why people believe the forests are unique, because it is canon that they are.
20:35 Fans: "Erwin would support the rumbing and show no mercy" Canon-Erwin: Never murdered a person, always tried his hardest to keep casualties & colateral damage low, felt guilty for the deaths of his comrades (who volunteered to be part of the SC), *made Hange his successor who didn't support the rumbling* It's beautiful how misunderstood this character is.
There's also the fact that, unlike Eren, Erwin would have no drive or goal anymore after the basement. It was made pretty clear that finding out about outside the walls was his dream, so I doubt he'd have the will to keep fighting for nothing. Also, the truth of the outside world would probably be brutal to Erwin. All those sacrifices, all those lives he sent for death, only to find out that there's a huge world outside the walls, entire civilizations, and they all want your people dead.
@@joaoassumpcao3347 i actually think that Erwin always understood that the truth about the outside world is gonna be mind-blowing😅 proving his father was right would probably makes him happy in some way. at least, he seemed excited when they found out about the whole titans-are-humans thing. but his guilt and suffering would never leave him, that’s for sure
Reiner is more obviously suffering from depression in season 4, as we see him contemplating offing himself before hearing Gabis voice (think it was hers, could've been Falco). We also see him not really eating all that well when with his family or with the other cadets (he pays for them, but isn't really seen eating himself).
Also how during the declaration of war he saved Falco then just chilled in there, with Falco giving the line "If he had the will to live" or something like that.
I think the theory on Erwin is interesting, after rewatching S1 and how he approaches Eren after Bean and Sawney get murdered and asks who's the true enemy here? As if he knows humans are just as evil, I think in some way the basement was to fulfill what he already had strong suspicions on. I don't think he'd be a yeagerist per say but I do think he would support the idea of fighting back against Marley
There’s also a lot of influence by Norse Mythology. Ymir is the first living being and a Frost Giant. And when Odin kills them it’s splits into the 9 realms. Like how Ymir the founder is split into 9 Titans. Also the Giant Tree Ymir in AoT falls into could be a reference to Yggdrasil the world tree in Norse Myths. Also the Halucigena could be the Niddhogg, a worm like creature that lives at the bottom of the Yggdrasil tree and maintains it. Finally Eren is kinda a parallel to Odin. I don’t know a lot about this one but the one scene when Falco is taking to Eren in the hospital for the first time there is a shot of the shadow of the tree above erens head, and Eren at the time has a bandage covering his eye. Odin is often shown wearing an eye patch and in one myth, hung himself from the world tree to gather more knowledge about death.
Idk why so few people bring up the norse connection when talking about AOT, they're all pretty obvious even if you only know about some surface level stuff (Ymir, tree of yggdrasil). Also I'm pretty sure that the Edlians were originally of norse origin judging by what we see in a couple flashbacks
woww that's so interesting. If I hear this I think there's no doubt Isayama took inspiration from Norse mythology. Where else would he get the name Ymir from?
I believe the "Paradis geography" point can refer to the size of Paradis in comparison to its counterpart in Madagascar. The reason this is brought up sometimes, is that if the scale of AoT's map is 1:1 with our world, the width and area of the walls are DRAMATICALLY overestimated
@@jbonemastaflash6852 That is true, but the diameter of the walls have been revealed in the story, and it vastly dwarfs the size of real-world Madagascar, which creates some discussion about the scale of the AoT world.
See, the map literally appeared in one panel and wasnt even discussed, while the walls were extensively explained. I think we obviously take fact of the walls' diameter over the one off barely legible map we saw
16:06 levi’s cleaning had a purpose. He had them clean so much with time restrictions bc you never know when you’ll have to up and go at a moments notice, and that exact situation happened in season 3 when they were running from the government
No Levi was obsessed with cleaning because he was obsessed with being perfect in general, this is because he always thought Kenny left him because he was not good enough. Another example of this is Levi's handwriting. It is confirmed somewhere that it's so good it's like a newspaper font
@@wesleypola8180 What dude nobody took him in he just partnered up with that dude I can't remember the name of. But the cleaning obsession came from Levi
That doesn't mean much. It's literally just a quirk added to Levi and a bit of a "don't meet your heroes," kind of realism. Cleaning doesn't only involve "packing up," but also you clean the dust etc. If I were to search for an abandoned cabin and see it perfectly clean instead of tons of dust, it would be obvious t me that someone was there very recently. So all the cleaning is kind of pointless in terms of being able to quickly leave or "leave no trace behind." It also improves his "actually cares under the hood," persona. Despite his obsession with cleaning, he doesn't care about holding the bloody hands of his comrades.
Levi’s cleaning theory is definitely true. My mom grew up in poverty and she turned out to be a clean freak as well because of how dirty her childhood home was
16:52 For the music part, AOT was inspired a lot by German culture. Jeager is an actual family in Germany and a word that means "hunter". Ackermann is "farmer", Reiner BRAUN (yes that company is German), blond hair everywhere, etc... plus Sawano Wrote a lot of German lyrics from what i've heard (didn't really investigate this) so OSTs like Vogel im Käfig (Bird in a cage) and Bauklötzen( Building Blocks) have German lyrics. Also for XL-TT, this is the OST that plays in the first episode at the appearance of the Colossal Titan.
Its just a Sawano quirk. If youve listened to his stuff, you know all his songs have quirky titles. As for why not all AoT songs are like this, its bc theres 2 ppl working on the music for AoT. The other guy, Yamamoto, has few contributions in the earlier seasons and then eventually takes over in later seasons with Sawano only doing a couple songs here and there.
Paradis’s geography is probably something explaining how four rivers can go from one point in four directions in the walls. I’m guessing the theory is that the geography was modified when the walls were made.
I always thought that they were more like canals and the water didnt really flow, thats part of why their boats are powered/guided with that rope system
The question that I have about the last tier's elder gods, would WE be those elder gods? We watch these characters fight, struggle and die, all for our enjoyment
If AoT is in fact the creation/daydream of the Eren in the junior high timeline then canonically he’d be the elder god tho you could then expand upon that to say that AoT’s creator is the true elder god and then expand that further to say that god is the true elder god
The 'The cycle will never end, no matter what' part made me finally understand what happened in the ending. I was so confused as to why the tree grew so large and what it meant. Having Eren become the new 'source of the titan powers' idea makes sense to me. The fact that the young child also goes inside the tree like Ymir did makes it believable that he could gain the titan powers like she did before and the cycle would start anew. I also wanted to say how shocked I was that the Video had so little views or likes. The quality was so good that I didn't even notice. I watch a lot of Iceberg or 'Full Story Explained' videos and all of them had many views and likes and seeing your video with a similar quality get so little wondered me. I hope your videos will get the attention they deserve soon! I hope to see more of these kind of videos from you :)
The source of all living matter only emobies the desire of the user, it doesn't just make titans. Zeke explained that the paraite latched onto ymirs desires, an undying body, connection to others, freedom from pain, strength, etc to reflect her desires in physical form. A different person making contact would reflect their desires, not just turn them into a titan, thats not what the parasite does.
@@lukefox01 So the power of the titans specifically might not cycle, but a person making contact with the source of all living matter and gaining a supernatural ability will?
I think the tree is purely symbolic of the cycle of hatred/violence rather than meaning the parasite will latch onto this person at the end and start a new cycle of superpowered fascism
It was stated, that human technology was close already to making titans obsolete for military purposes, so it's questionable, if titans could even pose a threat to humanity, if they ever returned
I can't believe the Cycle is so deep. I read the ending of the manga last year as Part 2 of Season 4 ended and the entire Cycle idea was my immediate conclusion and I really didn't grasp why people hate the ending so much.
Yeah the cycle part was a good ending imo even though its sad. I think people hate on what eren said. I think what he said was fine too so disagree with the haters
The Attack TItan berserk mode was probably Eren pushing his Titan limits and refusing to stop fighting, this would explain the fire around him since titans give off so much heat. He probably just overused his titan till the point that it started to heat up.
It was most likely related to manga ending and Isayama gave them tips about what Eren would do in the end. It was probably related to Eren's unique Titan so the animators added those details for some sort of foreshadowing. Then Isayama changed his mind and The Rumbling became the new thing, thus all those crazy Eren titan effects are now pointless.
Remember that at the time we had 3 different unique Titans with unique capabilites. Colossal Titan was BIG BOI with steam powers, Armored Titan being... armored... And Female Titan being athletic and has the power of calling titans to eat her, as well as hardening. At the time Eren's titan had absolutely no unique ability other than being on "humanity's side."
Even at the end the Titan itself doesn't have anything special. Eren even gets the hardening power from some sort of random capsule during Rod Reiss' cave. Being able to see memories etc. is also something he can't do alone and needs contact with someone who is royal blood. Plus he doesn't even need to be in his titan form to do it. So I guess Isayama was planning something destructive for Eren's titan but at the end changed his mind and went with the weird memory shit.
@@fortnight5677the “weird memory” power drastically nerfed th founder titan and made it only possible for the user of both the founder and attack titan to freely influence history. AOT would be a very different world if the royalty could influence both the past and present of Eldians. (Would be impossible to steal the founder)
I have my own headcanon that due to Eren being in possession of the Founding Titan, and since the Founding Titan can transform into other titans (Eren becoming a Colossal during the final fight for example) that his Attack Titan took on the traits of the Jaw Titan, hence why his Attack Titan had sharper teeth and claws, and this caused him to push his Titan ability to the limit. 😅
The theory about Eren's head becoming The Source of All Living Matter and the young boy in front of the tree sent shivers down my spine. i was eating and i had to stop, pause the video and ponder all my life choices....... because if the thoery is right, everything that happened was for nothing, the best case scenario being guaranteeing a few hundreds of years of peace before everything goes down again. my head is spinning bruh
The source of all living matter gave Ymir the titan powers due to the circumstance she was in, that doesn't mean that anyone who would come into contact with it would get titan powers
@@hjuy4049true.. the boy was accompanied by a friendly dog and he seemed curious when he found the tree.. meanwhile Ymir had her heart filled with anguish and hatred and was being chased by wild dogs when she found the source. The boy will get new powers but I'm sure they would be completely different from titans and would probably bring good to the world
Theres actually a reasoning behind the strange OST names. Each with a bizarre name are done my Hiroyuki Sawano; and one of his trademarks is his weird names for his songs, it can be seen on other projects hes done such as Xenoblade Chronicles X. He does occasionally name them something normal but the reasoning behind more and more normal OST titles in Season 4 could be due to alot of it being done by Kohta Yamamoto.
I like that they added Pieck being female while having a male looking titan as I'm pretty sure technically men could be given the female titan depending on its random assignment or inheritance
I think the titan forest is the only physical evidence that remains after each "cycle" of the titans restarts. The tree Ymir fell into could've been one of those trees, the tree that grows from Erens head adds a new tree to the forest , so on and so forth. The fact that it's a full grown forest by the time the events of AoT take place suggests that many cycles have taken place and ended before current Eren's begun
Well that doesn’t really make sense because Eren’s tree is in Shiganshina, not even close to the forest Also the boy going into Eren’s tree was clearly from a distant future. Civilization was destroyed, but it’s remnants were obvious. But back in Ymir’s time there was clearly no technology or a past civilization. I think the cycle will continue, but Ymir’s cycle was the first one
@@silksongreactions well maybe before ymir there was also a futuristic civilization but because humans do human things like war, the whole world got destroyed to which they had to evolve to ymirs civilization. Like Einstein said ''I'm not sure what weapons the third world war will be fought with, but in the fourth world war they will fight with sticks and stones.'' which obv means we go back to 0
I prefer to think that the circle will not repeat. Yes. We see the kid in front of the tree. But he was not running for his life followed by dogs. He was walking calmly with a dog by his side which makes the scene quite different
19:58 Glad to see someone finally pointing this out. If people paid just a little more attention to season 1 and some of the OVA's, it was clear that Annie and Armin had a thing. Or at least, there were little things that insinuated they'd be romantically involved in the future. Idk why people keep saying they "came out of nowhere" after the boat scene.
16:00 to me Levi’s obsessive cleaning is trauma related. Not only did he grow up in poverty but he was literally sat next to his dead mother for a week. At the very least, it maybe a subconscious factor that he isn’t aware of
the "Bertolt is the strongest shifter" theory probably comes from a line of dialogue in Season 4. During the flashback to when the warriors first landed on Paradis as kids, Reiner says to Bertolt "Says the guy who was able to control the collosal insantly!". If he was actually able to immediately gain complete control over the collosal titan that would probably make him the most gifted shifter by far.
16:02 As someone in the military, cleaning is a big thing. In general it’s sort of seen as a discipline kind of thing but some higher ups take it more seriously than others depending on their background. With Levi, I can imagine that yes his background in the underground is way he’s so notoriously focused on it (as well as Levi just being scary to any regular person) but having a cleaning period itself is standard in the military. It’s a pretty cool inclusion for us enlisted folk!
I'm pretty sure Eren's berserk titan form was an anime-only thing. It didn't appear in the manga. At the time of the first season, Studio Wit wasn't certain that there would be more seasons so they wanted to end it with a bang, so they made the berserk titan for cool animation stuff.
I assumed Paradis Geography is referring to the weird variety of biomes on Paradis considering how small it is. While training they climb a snowy mountain, are in some weird desert area, there’s also deserts to the south of Shiganshina.
I’m pretty sure the mirror man episode happened before they even joined the scouts. It happened when they were little and Mikasa was running late to meet Eren and Armin at a hot air balloon
No it actually occurs right after eren is eaten in s1. Mikasa is at a loss and is grieving, and retreated within her head to think of them all being happy and alive together. She goes back to when they were kids as a coping mechanism, and creates that story to escape from reality. The mirrored man theory, however, I belive may be false. It could be eren from the future, but I am much more likely to belive that it is the writer, speaking to mikasa as an equal, making her relize that there is nothing she can do and she isn’t in control, and to return to her place in the story and let it play out
The One where it said the attack titan fights for eren will is even more convincing when you realize that in season 1 the attack titan tried punching mikasa and in the end mikasa ended up killing eren.
It's probably just because when Eren first tried to transform, he didn't have control, and did things on a impulses he had before transformation. He rages against Titans first time - kills Titans after transformation. Second time he has argument with Mikasa right before transforming and pretty pissed at her - so his first thought after transforming - to attack Mikasa
Watching this after the anime finished up is pretty awesome. Finally get to watch some AoT content without fear of spoilers. Good work!! Also, can't remember where I heard this but it's an explanation for Eren's berserk form. Basically, at the point in time when the first season came out, they ratings weren't expected to be amazing and a second season wasn't really a consideration. Someone decided and convinced the animators to go all out with the final battle to drive hype (in hopes of a second season) and to finalize the series if it ended there. A lot of anime get their single series and it ends on a dumb note or place. This theory states he has a berserk mode just to make the end be a bigger climax and spectacle if it ended right there.
I think the “Paradis Geography” is referring to the sheer amount of environments present on Paradis, with temperate forests and deserts in an environment where it also snows heavily in winter.
The best theory is the one that says the atack titan not only pass his will to the successors, but controls their actions sometimes. So Eren, Grisha and Kruger has moments were the titan's will take control and they behave totally differently compared to what we are used to or to the character like 10m ago. Has a whole thread about this on some blog, with even some "proof" that the art on manga changes at those moments.
Hallucigenia when being discovered was once believed to walk on the spikes on it's back (Upside-down), Our modern understanding now shows that is not true and walks on the tentacles instead (Right-side up), but it does mirror the fact that the world of AOT is upside down.
There's a scene when Paths-Zeke is dragging Paths-Eren through Grisha's memories; Grisha is hugging baby Eren, with Paths-Zeke and Paths-Eren standing behind Grisha observing. Baby Eren is looking straight at Paths-Zeke and Paths-Eren with a kind of wonderous look on his face. I really do feel that, somehow, Baby Eren was seeing Paths-Zeke and Paths Eren.
Erens “dream” where Mikasa says “see you later…Eren” isn’t the future. It’s Eren rembering a different timeline where Mikasa confesses her love for him when Eren asks her “what am I to you?” After she says her feeling for him, he decides to not do the rumbling and they then run away into the mountains where Eren and Mikasa live together for 4 years until Erens dies from the Curse of Ymir. Mikasa never killed him. Before he dies, he tells her to forget about him and to move on. So Mikasa says “see you later” because she doesn’t want Eren to see that she is distraught and very sad that he is about to die.
21:54 we only really discovered the north and South Pole in the 20th century. Before we had no idea how the poles looked like, so the map is probably historically accurate (for attack on titan)
I can speak a bit on the OST naming scheme, I made a paper on Hiroyuki Sawano. The reason most of his soundtracks have cryptic language and Unicode symbols is to mitigate the effect the title has on the listener. Despite his intent, some of these tracks can be deciphered to unveil more context for the song, like TWO-lives being “TheWeightOfLives.” Sawano wasn’t called back for S4, that’s why they’re basic now.
AOE - This was confirmed by Isayama right before The Final Chapters special released. He didn't like the ending himself and stated that the Anime is the Definitive version of the story of AoT.
12:16 I think the most plausible reason for berserker mode was that it would look really cool at the end of a season & that they didn't know when or if they would get to do more of this series later.
Something I'm surprised no one's mentioned (Or at least if someone has I haven't seen it), Early in season 1 when the Scouts try to kill Eren, Mikasa and Armin with canons and Eren stops it using his titan ability, he for whatever reason makes a flower grow underneath them. Armin even comments on it not being there a moment ago, so do titans have some kinda plant growth ability?
I think it was a way to make us understand the inside of the titan. It was so big, and formidable, while inside it, mikasa and armin were being protected, and the flower didn't grow there but rather it survived. In a place of extreme heat and pressure.
I think the geography bit is discussing how the geography is represented in different media. The anime has it mostly be fields and then a big desert before the coast, the OVAs imply there is a canyon/mountain area inside the walls, which wouldn’t make sense inside of the walls since Armin mentions that mountains are in the book about the world outside of the wall, but doesn’t know what a mountain is, also the trees on the island seem to be ridiculously big, not to mention the ice burst stone material and crystal caverns from season 3.
Some corrections/analysis after 1 year of this video being uploaded 3:04 This is just because east asian languages L and R sound very similar and are used interchangeably then when trasnlated into an english language the sound is more distinct 3:46 His name is oliver and it wasnt to make females more prevalent in the warrior candidates, it was actually changed due to Isayama thinking an older male within the warrior candidates wouldn't make sense since then why would marley send children instead of him. Also, all the warrior candidates are young children, so he would stand out. 4:10 Corridor Digital RUclips channel actually made a video about this and Paradis Island along with the rest of the world although looks like an exact mirror of ours its actually a whole lot bigger. Paradis Island alone is bigger then Texas. Also the coloring for the different territories dont seem to be accurate 5:30 Hizuru at least in the anime is depicted to be below Paradis Island so the east coast of the flipped africa 6:17 Pretty sure this is confirmed. If you're questioning the time not matching up due to the curse of ymir this is probably before he got the beast titan 9:12 Again RUclips channel Corridor Digital actually counted this too and it was 540000 when they calculated it pretty sure. They also use CGI to visualize the rumbling better, so check them out! 11:49 Im sure its just a little anime exclusive just to represent Erens (literal) steaming rage and regenerating so fast while still in a titan form his vains are literally on fire. It doesnt go much deeper then that probably. Isayama probably added it to make the fight look more appealing. 14:22 This was just a test run so Isayama could find a publisher after getting rejected by shonen jump. Im sure some of it is relevant but it shouldnt be taken so seriously in contrast to the show 16:52 Isayama probably wanted to do more with the sound tracks with cryptic messages and what not but due to the various artists it was probably difficult to coordinate and just gave up on it. 18:11 This is because Eren used the paths to tell them their last messages and the first scene where Eren crying is a contrast to Mikasa at the Cabin and crying. Whether this is to show Eren went back in different times and told them physically and then erased their memories or he only used the paths is up to interpretation. But the significance of Eren waking up from a "Long Dream" and crying could be a video on its own. 20:35 No he wouldn't. End of discussion. 21:36 The sad reality is that their is no god in the aot verse. It is the source of hope that there is a higher power or god mentioned by Armin only to discover the harsh reality is its all a chain reaction from the hallucigenia. Also the represents to how Eren and Armin are disappointed how the world beyond the walls actually are. 22:00 up to interpretation what happens to the boy, but it is confirmed that the message of "the cycle will never end" was the main objective for the ending. Eren also sure that war would continue even without titans but eren didnt account for another ymir situation happening because he couldn't see the future beyond his death. Since the boy at the end credits is not a subject of ymir eren cant see into his memories. Instead the boy who lets just call John l, once John enters the tree and connects with the new source of all living matter which was passed down to embody erens head, John would start a new founding arc called Subjects of John. And the Titans probably only happened due to it the hallucigenia connecting to ymirs spine. Id imagine John could connect to it differently and create a whole nother different type of power.
To counterpoint the "The cicle will never end" theory, please have in mind the situations of Ymir and the boy. Ymir was almost dead, hunted and followed by dogs, that and her will to be alive is what made the titans exist in the first place. However, see the boy, the boy is calm even when exploring remains of a death civilization, he is curious and has a dog by HIS SIDE. The boy willingly enters the tree by curiosity not unlike armin's, he still has the child-like wonder that Ymir couldn't have, that's why the cycle won't repeat. A power might appear, however the circumstances that led into the creation of the titans are not longer there, something new will appear and not necessarily a bad thing. I think that's an interpretation that not a lot of people in the AoT fandom has come to realize and i find that it is a shame...the history was always about "The world is a cruel place, but there's beauty in it" and i think this interpretation makes the message consistent and stuff. Yeah, long text lol
considering the hallucegenia or whatever the worm thing is called can create titans by exposing its own body steam, i seriously doubt what you said is anything but your own head cannon. Im pretty sure titans will always be a curse on humanity in the AOT world
Titan Curse existed bcuz Paths existed. Paths existed as a result of Ymir's Desire for Connection even after death. Titan Curse was lifted only bcuz Ymir let go of these connections, inspired by Mikasa. So, unless the kid has the same desire for connection, no Titan Curse will appear again. Before you reply, know that the paths exist after Ymir's Death and not when she fused with hallucigenia and got founding Titan powers. Hence, Titan shifters live only 13 years after transformation as Ymir died at age 13. Also Levi and Mikasa could be connected through paths even if they were immune to Founding Titan Powers.
I have a theory that wasn't on here. I believe that Dina was the one to give the command to have her killed, meaning her death was technically suicide by Titan. Since time works differently in the Paths, it's entirely possible that she and Eren met and spoke, and that she told Ymir to obey him long enough for him to escape with Mikasa. Since Ymir was only going to obey Zeke at first, and not Eren, it makes sense that it would have been the same back with the Smiling Titan. She would only obey the Royal Family.
Plausible, but you need to remember that time works weird in the paths. It's very much possible that future Eren controlled the titans to attack her. But there's also the fact that titans who aren't titan shifters can't seem to be able to influence the paths, since they are only connected via an activated hallucigenia, which they have no control over. I believe only those who can maintain their humanity (titanshifters) can influence the paths in any way. And thus, when Eren touched Dina, Dina couldn't access the founding titan, but the founding titan activated anyways, thus Eren was in full control. Which probably explains why Eren was afraid the government was gonna transform Historia into a pure titan so he can access the founding.
The "Eren doesn’t care about Freedom" is an interesting one that deserves its own video. In School Castes & junior high manga’s (both of which are stated to be the "true" characters simply in different circumstances) Eren sticks out as a legit mass murderous psychopath. Junior high is supposed to be a kid-friendly show, yet Eren is the *only* guy in the series who keeps yelling about killing all their enemies. His feud with the Colossal titan (one he still wants to kill for) is over a cheeseburger. People think he’s weird because of this. Keep in mind how "freedom" isn’t a theme for him in these two shows. His only consistent theme is the desire for violence. Also some of his opinions regarding freedom are antithetical to the concept. "If someone tries to steal my freedom, I won’t hesitate to steal theirs". That sounds like the exact revenge bullshit that kept Eldia/Marley conflict going for 2000 years. A true freedom fighter will treasure that fundamental right so much that they would *never* submit others to the same despair. What this says about Eren is that he doesn’t actually know what freedom is.
Junior just parodies Eren's desire to fight titans. Eren respects people who fight for their desire to do what they want, or "freedom", that doesnt mean he wont oppose them when interests conflict
Starting from “keep in mind…” till the end of your comment, I wonder if this logic of Eren’s is what perpetuates the CYCLE that eren lives through (the ending of the manga)
@@Sernival you’ll soon learn that anything can be convincing if worded correctly. He respects people fighting for their freedom the same way Khabib respects someone for fighting. Junior is more than a parody. Isayama is very deliberate about his characterisations
The problem is the contemporary liberal definition of freedom is incoherent. It's only an ostensible justification and a hijacking of a word with long held positive connotations. The classical definition would be a greater capacity to do the good. A homeless drug addict would be less free than someone who regulates their behavior to avoid drugs. The modern definition is just hedonism with whatever mores the current dispensation holds.
Also per Rome, Isayama actually said he took a lot of inspiration from Roman history. To me this seems like a comparison to the late Roman Empire or the Ostrogoth empire. Eldians would be the Romans, and Mareleyans would be the Ostrogoths (descendants of Germanic tribes) who took over the western empire briefly after 800 years of invasion, oppression, and intermingling.
@@DarkCreepyFairy I think it implies that the history of the AoT world would have been the same as real life, but the apparition of the first titan and a barbarian tribe having control over it changed history and made the mentioned barbarian tribe the powerhouse instead of the romans.
Fr!! My favorite example is the credits song for s4 pt2 “akuma no ko.” The OFFICIAL (which proves it’s canon and intentional) anime mv for the song explains so much about Eren’s mindset, especially with the way the lyrics and clips are paired. Before watching it I was struggling a bit to understand but that mv cleared up so much for me. Link here: ruclips.net/video/WPl10ZrhCtk/видео.html
If I had to guess the geography at 6:10 is reffering to how MASSIVE the walls actually are, which some have visualized (and it's way bigger then Madagascar)
1:10 it could be intentional and because the story is told from armins perspective as shown in the last episode, and because eren showed some of the memories to armin in paths it could be armin seeing future eren in the background

The geography reference involves probably 2 things: The first is the forests of giant trees that you already covered. The other is the iceburst stone, which is also found only on the island. That is what people think that was the "natural resources" that Marley aimed to get from Paradis. (We later learn that Marley was really acting on an agreement between Fritz and the Warhammer titan at the time to crush Paradis after 100 years).
Huh? Agreement with the warhammer Titan to crush the island after 100 years? What show have you been watching, all they say is that the Tyburs have been watching Paradis’ actions. They even make a point of saying the warhammer has never been off of home soil. Marley obviously knows less than the Tyburs because if they knew the king of the walls wouldn’t activate the rumbling, they’d have no reason not to invade the island
@@juliomenendez9458 What did you think the Tyburs were watching Paradis for? To find out if their ship would sail? Did you pay attention at all during Willy's production? Were you not paying attention when the whole crowd and even Gabi gasped at the fact that the propaganda up until now had been a lie? That it was Fritz himself who decided to end the violence and retreat behind the walls? Miss when Willy said his family had been carrying the secret that the King would not retaliate for all that time with them and he was finally going to tell the truth? Remember how Uri under the will of Fritz said it was his wish to create a Paradis before the world was ruined? @@juliomenendez9458 No we didn't mean the same thing. That is clear. "All they said was they were watching the island" is saying, "You can't tell that from this one piece of information." Sorry, it takes a long comment to type everything when you have more than one example to present. You said that "all they said was," and I had to list all the other things "they" said, because what you said was,in fact, not all "they" said. Also, I can tell you still have no clue because you're still going off about Willy telling the truth now, which is not important to this particular conversation as we're talking about why RBA was sent 9 years before this even happened.
@@wickywickyjoka Willy told Marley & RBA the truth about Paradis' threat 9 years ago (only confirmed in the Manga). He did not however do this because of some agreement. He did this because Marley was about to lose an arms race against the rest of the world, and needed the founder and the resources to stay on top.
The Eren being in the past at the beginning actually makes sense if you think of the moment as being from future Eren’s point of view. He also told Armin that he changed several things in the past to try to affect the outcome of the future.
i think it's pretty believable since the series is never played out as "from eren's perspective" so whether he would be visible to the characters is irrelevant.
To be fair he said “Eren’s dream. Manga spoilers.” at the start of that part, several sentences and like 15 seconds before saying Mikasa kills him, it’s even written there at the timer and name of the part
I guess a thing to note on "paradise geography" is that the territory inside the wall is supposedly the size of France, but that paradise is Madagascar. Now, this doesn't really make any sense since Madagascar is only slight, bigger than France in surface area and the walls being 3 near perfect circles would make it physically impossible for it to fit inside of Madagascar without being partially in the sea. I'm personally not a fan of the world map of AOT being earth but upside down. It's either not very well thought out by Isayama or a simple time saver.
In reality there's no real reason that North should be "up" on a map, besides Eurocentrism in early world maps. If Marley, clearly the world's strongest power, had it's center of being in Africa/somewhere South, like how it seems, it's not unreasonable that world maps would have South as up.
@@helnkel3814 Yeah. I make maps for a living, I knew that. And it had nothing to do with my argument. Also, Paradise and Marley clearly have a temperate Europeanen climate. Very different from the tropical climate Madagascar should be having. So I'm pretty sure that would mean the climate of each continent has shifted southward (or northward in AOT's case) so the enterity of Europe and the Asian should be frozen over.
Carly Strattman being a chemistry teacher and there being a titan that resembled Saul Goodman in the manga is just hilarious and makes me wonder how many other refferences have slipped under my nose
I love the Season 2 ending beacuse it literally shows you Ymir's story Her getting offered by the devil according to the marlians Her becoming a titan King fritz feeding Ymir to her children The great titan war People warshipping other Ymir Jaw titan Ymir The rumbling People escaping Showing Ymir as a god according to Eldians
Eren wanting to destroy the world and not actually wanting freedom is a theory I called out too. I told my friends he has all of the traits of a serial killer.
8:52 In chapter 122 of the manga, which tells the story of Ymir Fritz, you can see the Ancient Eldians and Ancient Marleyans in their own attire. Ancient Marleyans dressed like Romans, while Ancient Eldians resembled Germanic tribes in appearance. This explains why all Eldians are whites with a German name. It also confirms the theory that the Marleyans were actually Romans. If you think like this, it would not be absurd to see the Mid-East Alliance as the Ottomans.
for 6:10 "paradis geography" what they are refering to is in some scenes there is shown to be snow etc. and those do not aline with the real world geography of madagascar
Ok so let me explain the “dream like ending” theory at 18:10 In the original manga, right before the rumbling happened. There was some odd plot holes. The only one I can remember off the top of my head was piek having her gun on her back again when she had just pretended to be dead and it was established before it took 15 minutes to put her gear on. So when the manga came out. We theorized that entire chapter was a dream
I honestly think AoE isn't completely out of the question, for Isayama has stated the anime is the most canon version of Attack On Titan, since when Isayama didn't like something in the manga he would change details in the anime as he worked with the animation studios. But changing something as the drastic as the ending of manga does seem unbelievable.
Its not unbelievable. God you people really don't know shit about the evidence like its all our there yet you mfs blatantly disregard Isayama's inspirations, hints, etc. AoE is coming and not because oH iSaYAmA rUshEd tHe mAngA eNdinG. He planned it to end that way because its a build up to the anime ending. The manga is the previous timeline. Anime is the final timeline.
In regard to the future Eren theory, most believe that he's invisible to everyone but the viewer. Which would make much more sense to me, and frankly I do believe this theory
I feel gaslighted by AoT's internet presence and their absolute lack of acknowledgement that *Reiner was the ONLY shifter that made a big deal of transferring his fucking consciousness whenever he was in danger*
I was one of those ppl who dislike the ending but as rereading and realy analyzing it, everything makes sense. Eren did what he did is in character for him and he has always been like that. I now love the ending but left a bitter taste in my mouth. Isayama is a damn good writer. I usually separate the japanese storytelling to the western one mainly because of culture differences but i put Isayama with one of my fav author Ursula K. Le Guin. I love grey story and characters.
I feel like the second pic at 1:23 is season 4 Eren on the right side as Isayama was prob foreshadowing that Eren was looking back at his memories. Meaning, the actual characters (young Eren, Mikasa, Armin) can't actually see the person from their perspective.
I think the reason that Piek was changed to a female instead of a 40 year old man is because they decided that someone that weirdos could simp for was better than some random 40 year old man
14:46 The Rico Yeaherist theory makes a lot of sense considering she saw all of her friends die protecting Eren to plug wall Rose, Considering that same event was the 1st time Humans triumphed against the Titans, it would definitely radicalize someone to the extremes even if they were against fighting with a Titan to begin with
My favorite aot theory is that even before Ymir, there were other founders, all the way back to the dinosaur era, to the ice age, to the cavemen, to whatever else there was
I keep seeing comments about this so let me clear something up: Every section with manga spoilers is marked as so in the chapters. I also say before each of them the name of the topic, followed by "manga spoilers". This is your warning to move onto the next topic if you don't want to be spoiled.
Also, let me just confirm that I don't necessarily agree with everything said in this video. I am simply restating the theories and concepts within this iceberg.

Then why does the recent key visual show Eren's titan with blue eyes and fire? Seems like berserk titan to me
I think it looked like that because when titans heal they have steam coming off of their body, I think his healing at that point accelerated so much to the point where he started burning.
You are stupid for that theory
@@Capta1nTD beautifully put! Gosh what a master piece this story is
I don't think that is the reason.
@@alandmuhamad6593 that's also another really good perspective! I never thought about it in that way

Titan Forest tree theory must be created by desert-dwellers that never touched a forest in their lives
@@indrickboreale7381 or basement dwellers
Anomalously big.

Canon-Erwin: Never murdered a person, always tried his hardest to keep casualties & colateral damage low, felt guilty for the deaths of his comrades (who volunteered to be part of the SC), *made Hange his successor who didn't support the rumbling*
It's beautiful how misunderstood this character is.
I totally agree with you !! I just had to read the theories I was given lol
Erwin is just too intelligent to support such a trivial thing as genocide. idk why people actually believe he would
There's also the fact that, unlike Eren, Erwin would have no drive or goal anymore after the basement.
Though he sacrificed entire districts getting destroyed in season 1, showing no remorse.
@@IronEbay i thought that was pretty obvious after he was shown shoving a gun down his throat

Odin is often shown wearing an eye patch and in one myth, hung himself from the world tree to gather more knowledge about death.
this was my exact thoughts the moment i heard the name ymir, when i heard that there was no doubt it was inspired by norse
That's what I was thinking
woww that's so interesting. If I hear this I think there's no doubt Isayama took inspiration from Norse mythology. Where else would he get the name Ymir from?
Also, maybe falco here could be a metaphor for huginn/muninn
I believe the "Paradis geography" point can refer to the size of Paradis in comparison to its counterpart in Madagascar. The reason this is brought up sometimes, is that if the scale of AoT's map is 1:1 with our world, the width and area of the walls are DRAMATICALLY overestimated
you can tell in the show that the area within the walls is about the size as a small country all to the walls could fit in madagascar
@@jbonemastaflash6852 That is true, but the diameter of the walls have been revealed in the story, and it vastly dwarfs the size of real-world Madagascar, which creates some discussion about the scale of the AoT world.

16:06 levi’s cleaning had a purpose. He had them clean so much with time restrictions bc you never know when you’ll have to up and go at a moments notice, and that exact situation happened in season 3 when they were running from the government

So all the cleaning is kind of pointless in terms of being able to quickly leave or "leave no trace behind."
It also improves his "actually cares under the hood," persona.
Additonally, Shiganshina is based off a small german town called Nördlingen (Noerdlingen) which also is surrounded by walls like most medieval towns.
Do it some justice at least, and spell is as "Jäger" or at most "Jaeger" if you're talking about family names.

Paradis’s geography is probably something explaining how four rivers can go from one point in four directions in the walls. I’m guessing the theory is that the geography was modified when the walls were made.

The source of all living matter only emobies the desire of the user, it doesn't just make titans. Zeke explained that the paraite latched onto ymirs desires, an undying body, connection to others, freedom from pain, strength, etc to reflect her desires in physical form. @@lukefox01 So the power of the titans specifically might not cycle, but a person making contact with the source of all living matter and gaining a supernatural ability will?

Few hundred years of peace was the goal of eren, and the never ending cycle of hatred is pretty logical, eren never tried to end the hatred
Well I hope the food was tasty
It was not all for nothing if Eren got to let his Friends and the Paradis Island Experience peace for many years to come before a new war began
You know, the song names in AoT totally made me think about xenoblade. Now it all makes sense!
I like that they added Pieck being female while having a male looking titan as I'm pretty sure technically men could be given the female titan depending on its random assignment or inheritance
Fuck all titans have male anatomy, except female Titan offcourse.

5:00 No, you missed something. The editor cried in the bathroom for 15 minutes until he would.
Really 😭😭😭??
@@coolnugget Yup.
I think it was exaggerated but the editor had expressed his desires.
season 2 ed has SO MUCH foreshadowing. and the footstep imagery even foreshadows the rumbling
Well that doesn’t really make sense because Eren’s tree is in Shiganshina, not even close to the forest
Also the boy going into Eren’s tree was clearly from a distant future.
@@LucaDe2000 well it doesnt matter if hes in danger or not he likely turned into a titan
This would mean that every time the cycle started and ended happened in a very close proximity to a previous cycle. Sounds quite dumb.

They pretty sure knew. There is an explicit rumbling scene for 0.3 seconds when Eren was about to eat Annie.
@@curious_banda time stamp? I replayed the scene at 0.25x and couldn't find it
Best Iceburg of all that i’ve seen. Good job. From one struggling AOTuber to another I will be tuning in
I assumed Paradis Geography is referring to the weird variety of biomes on Paradis considering how small it is. While training they climb a snowy mountain, are in some weird desert area, there’s also deserts to the south of Shiganshina.
It might refer to the fact of Madagascar geography not corresponding to paradis geography
Nah
Paradis island in attack on Titan is way bigger than Madagascar is real life
More equivalent to Texas
I’m pretty sure the mirror man episode happened before they even joined the scouts. It happened when they were little and Mikasa was running late to meet Eren and Armin at a hot air balloon
No it actually occurs right after eren is eaten in s1. Mikasa is at a loss and is grieving, and retreated within her head to think of them all being happy and alive together. She goes back to when they were kids as a coping mechanism, and creates that story to escape from reality. The mirrored man theory, however, I belive may be false. It could be eren from the future, but I am much more likely to belive that it is the writer, speaking to mikasa as an equal, making her relize that there is nothing she can do and she isn’t in control, and to return to her place in the story and let it play out
I like icebergs because I hardly ever know anything past the first couple levels. Love learning new things about the stuff I love
Second time he has argument with Mikasa right before transforming and pretty pissed at her - so his first thought after transforming - to attack Mikasa
eren wanted mikasa to kill him tho so ymir could see it. he punched mikasa cause he couldnt control it. same thing with the spoon
Pretty sure the weird ost names is just Hiroyuki Sawano naming his shit weird, just like everything else he composes.
Yes future Eren would be invisible to child Eren, but we aren’t necessarily looking through Eren’s perspective. And the fit do be the same tho
Despite his intent, some of these tracks can be deciphered to unveil more context for the song, like TWO-lives being “TheWeightOfLives.”
Sawano wasn’t called back for S4, that’s why they’re basic now.
AOE - This was confirmed by Isayama right before The Final Chapters special released. He didn't like the ending himself and stated that the Anime is the Definitive version of the story of AoT.
Lmao
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
🤯🤯🤯🤯
12:16 I think the most plausible reason for berserker mode was that it would look really cool at the end of a season & that they didn't know when or if they would get to do more of this series later.
Something I'm surprised no one's mentioned (Or at least if someone has I haven't seen it), Early in season 1 when the Scouts try to kill Eren, Mikasa and Armin with canons and Eren stops it using his titan ability, he for whatever reason makes a flower grow underneath them. Armin even comments on it not being there a moment ago, so do titans have some kinda plant growth ability?
The scouts didn't try to kill those 3 it was the Garrison Regiment i believe.
I think it was a way to make us understand the inside of the titan. It was so big, and formidable, while inside it, mikasa and armin were being protected, and the flower didn't grow there but rather it survived. In a place of extreme heat and pressure.
it was a mistranslation
I think the geography bit is discussing how the geography is represented in different media. The anime has it mostly be fields and then a big desert before the coast, the OVAs imply there is a canyon/mountain area inside the walls, which wouldn’t make sense inside of the walls since Armin mentions that mountains are in the book about the world outside of the wall, but doesn’t know what a mountain is, also the trees on the island seem to be ridiculously big, not to mention the ice burst stone material and crystal caverns from season 3.
Thank god i never watched this video. Mf said mikasa kills eren in the first 30 seconds lol
Some corrections/analysis after 1 year of this video being uploaded
3:04 This is just because east asian languages L and R sound very similar and are used interchangeably then when trasnlated into an english language the sound is more distinct
3:46 His name is oliver and it wasnt to make females more prevalent in the warrior candidates, it was actually changed due to Isayama thinking an older male within the warrior candidates wouldn't make sense since then why would marley send children instead of him.
Also the coloring for the different territories dont seem to be accurate
5:30 Hizuru at least in the anime is depicted to be below Paradis Island so the east coast of the flipped africa
6:17 Pretty sure this is confirmed. If you're questioning the time not matching up due to the curse of ymir this is probably before he got the beast titan
9:12 Again RUclips channel Corridor Digital actually counted this too and it was 540000 when they calculated it pretty sure.
Im sure some of it is relevant but it shouldnt be taken so seriously in contrast to the show
16:52 Isayama probably wanted to do more with the sound tracks with cryptic messages and what not but due to the various artists it was probably difficult to coordinate and just gave up on it.
Id imagine John could connect to it differently and create a whole nother different type of power.
the island is nowhere near the size of the us… bro what lol
@DannyConcepts correction: bigger then Texas not the us sorry bout that
To counterpoint the "The cicle will never end" theory, please have in mind the situations of Ymir and the boy.
Yeah, long text lol
damn i never thought of that
considering the hallucegenia or whatever the worm thing is called can create titans by exposing its own body steam, i seriously doubt what you said is anything but your own head cannon.
Such a beautiful show, great job covering the iceberg
Yeah that show shows that eren was pretty bored with his life and fighting freedom would have some meaning to his life. Just like light in deathnote
Actually episode 4x21 looks like marleyans are heavily inspired by romans/greeks while eldians are inspired by german tribes
@@Sendo664 imo he took designs of Rome and Germanics and just switched histories
huh? you mean the other way around, right?
@@DarkCreepyFairy I think it implies that the history of the AoT world would have been the same as real life, but the apparition of the first titan and a barbarian tribe having control over it changed history and made the mentioned barbarian tribe the powerhouse instead of the romans.

Interesting fact about Eren's beserk mode, it's used in AOT 2 when controlling titan shifters as a sort of "super move."
"Armin is our greatest weapon" turns into a colossal titan
The geography reference involves probably 2 things:
The first is the forests of giant trees that you already covered.
Where he explains that the threat to the Continent with the wall titans was just a bluff to buy 100 years of peace? And how Fritz said if they came after then, he would do nothing to retaliate? Were you not paying attention when the whole crowd and even Gabi gasped at the fact that the propaganda up until now had been a lie? That it was Fritz himself who decided to end the violence and retreat behind the walls? Miss when Willy said his family had been carrying the secret that the King would not retaliate for all that time with them and he was finally going to tell the truth?
Remember how Uri under the will of Fritz said it was his wish to create a Paradis before the world was ruined? Did you not understand what Frieda meant when she told Grisha she would do nothing and that this was their judgement day finally come as RBA destroyed the walls, which was about 100 years after Fritz retreated?

I can assure you that I never meant to call myself out for misinformation.
Sorry, it takes a long comment to type everything when you have more than one example to present.

Yeah.
I guess it was just a time saver for the map. Because it makes no sense in any other way. The Rumbling stomping 80% of the world in 3 days? Hell no
@@helnkel3814 But Paradis being in the north makes sense of how temperate it is and why everyone looks northern European
Carly Strattman being a chemistry teacher and there being a titan that resembled Saul Goodman in the manga is just hilarious and makes me wonder how many other refferences have slipped under my nose
finally, someone who also likes shinsei kamattechan's music
About time you two started showing yourselves.
I have literally never met another Shinsei Kamattechan fan. I was one of their top listeners last year!

The mirror man doesn't happen after Eren is eaten but not yet known as a titan, it WAY after that, not far the end, in S3 !
I love the Season 2 ending beacuse it literally shows you Ymir's story
Her getting offered by the devil according to the marlians
Her becoming a titan
King fritz feeding Ymir to her children
The great titan war
People warshipping other Ymir Jaw titan Ymir
The rumbling
People escaping
Showing Ymir as a god according to Eldians
Eren wanting to destroy the world and not actually wanting freedom is a theory I called out too. I told my friends he has all of the traits of a serial killer.
0:35 reiner’s weight loss💀
*picks a thing in the iceberg to talk about*
“I have no idea”
Wow. Great video.
Marley also has some german inspiration and possibly russian since they are fighting the ottomans in a ww1 type war.
Marley seems to be a mash together of certain european countries
for 6:10 "paradis geography" what they are refering to is in some scenes there is shown to be snow etc. and those do not aline with the real world geography of madagascar
I'm so fucking sad rn, I just unintentionally watched a spoiler
Eren didn’t have the attack titan when he had his dream
Great iceberg on AOT
Thanks !!
Worst* who spoils the ending in the first minute of the video with the most half assed spoiler alert ever
Ok so let me explain the “dream like ending” theory at 18:10
In the original manga, right before the rumbling happened.
I’m very happy with the ending we got
Paradis geography could refer to the fact that the wall sizes don't fit in our world's Madagascar, and the island would have to be much, much bigger
6:16 if Paradise is Madagascar, it should have different climate, fauna and geography
"this video is already long enough" this is way too short tbh lmfao
I think the reason that Piek was changed to a female instead of a 40 year old man is because they decided that someone that weirdos could simp for was better than some random 40 year old man
14:46 The Rico Yeaherist theory makes a lot of sense considering she saw all of her friends die protecting Eren to plug wall Rose, Considering that same event was the 1st time Humans triumphed against the Titans, it would definitely radicalize someone to the extremes even if they were against fighting with a Titan to begin with
“Not many manga spoilers” and the first one is one. My life is ruined
My favorite aot theory is that even before Ymir, there were other founders, all the way back to the dinosaur era, to the ice age, to the cavemen, to whatever else there was
