nicest kitchen design I have seen on you tube
Love the way it offsets the rear hatch when opened up. Nice design; look forward to seeing how the electrical and gas get integrated into the build.
Awesome job! True craftsmanship there.
Absolutely brilliant, well done!
Holy cow! That thing is finished! It looks really sharp.
That really turned out nice. I just hope you used a lot of Loctite during assembly.
Agreed
Well Done gentlemen! Very Very COOL!
Super rad and totally awesome a functional masterpiece of metal! Bravo 👏🏻
Beautiful piece of kit.
Super impressive stuff
Awesome!
Earth to Mikey! I can hear the Overland Bound Family screaming a collective YEAH!!!
Kudos to your team, especially Corrie. WOO HOO HOO. Cheers, Mate
Damn...that's one sick camp kitchen setup. So innovative, purposefully built and well designed. Camp kitchen....transform and roll out!
That is really awesome.
Prettty slick, Job well done!
Awesome build wish it could have made it to Expo East I would loved to have seen it there. Keep the adventure going
Keep up the good work !!!
Freaking awesome job
OMG I NEED this.
Great job, as always. Curious as to how it will hold up on the trails.
Nice design and execution! Compact, light and rugged. You may want to patent this, because someone will steal it and profit from your R&D. Hope you can market these, make them available to the general public and make lots of dough!
Great video, even greater product! Greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱❤️🇺🇸💪👌👍✌️🥇
Very nice 👍
Music was perfect. Good stuff as usual.
Absolutely brilliant. Just hope the final product is 'affordable'!! Looking forward to considering as a kitchen to hang on the Rivian SUV!! Only difference is that with the power available with the Rivian substitution of an induction cooktop to sub for the gas. Bonus is the gained storage where the propane tank would be!! Thanks for the innovative thinking and willingness to consider producing for sale.
It looks like it will work out well for your wife. Excellent resolution. The fact that it's also marketable is icing on the cake. "The Roller Scollery" 😉
I guess "Roly Scollery" actually. I was trying a play on words for Roly Poly (pill bug).
knowing parnel has change your life :)!
Wicked cool. I’ve added my name to the mailing list.
Cool😁
There should be a parnel shop tour...
Love it! However I think it could use more drawers (under each section). With proper foam cutouts it would keep things in place and secure no matter the position
This is brilliant love it ! Around how much is the total weight? Are you worried about it holding up on hard 4x4 tracks?
Parnell is da Bomb!!!
Awe Inspiring…
Awesome build! Any plans to anodize it?
I would love to see the wiring and plumbing in a future video.
We’ll do that!
Looks fine, I guess you will need some canvas covering, for water and dust
Looks awesome 👌 but it looks like a lot of cleaning after a dusty dirt road trip.
It's got a great dust cover. We'll be doing a full reveal video once its all together.
How do you keep it clean enough to cook on while on the trail? It's fast to deploy but damn if you have to clean it before you cook why not go for the in cab system?
Conceptually I like the idea but seems like going to sheet metal shop and making it from stainless steel sheet metal would be a wiser move. I hope you have a canvas cover because it's going to get filled with dirt and dust first trip down a trail.
I think I know why I did not recognize Parnel at Overland Expo West. He must have lost 15lbs while at the barber. Excellent work Parnel. I am jealous of the tools you have in your workshop.
What if it rains, does the 270 cover the area?
OK, I don't have a swingout bumper or a wagon but ... could this be put on a slider and mount in a pickup truck bed? Open the tailgate, slide out the box and then unfold it? That seems like it could work. Man that thing is beautiful!
Yes it could!
I am working on a 2 inch receiver version.
the link to transformerkitchen does not work. Whats stove did you use at the end there?
I can’t imagine what this will cost
Does the website work? I can’t seem to get to it. Would it work on other vehicles like a Jeep Wrangler?
We went back and forth with what we wanted for a setup in our 80 Series two years ago. Almost did the Goose Gear pull out setup, but then decided to do the Pull Kitchen (Longitude model). Why? We did not plan to use any of the back seats. We were (and are) designing a two person Overlander. We wanted to be able to pull the kitchen out on one side and the fridge/freezer on the other. We wanted to keep everything at a truck bed height at the back. Then everything got more complex and custom. The Pull Kitchen killed off all the real estate on the back passenger side (we knew that and are still good with that). Add in the 15+ year old that decides independently that she wants to learn about Overlanding (oh snap). Luckily we are equipped with a rear driver side passenger seat for a backup, but it gets roomy for sure. We dig the "everything outside the vehicle" type concept. Super curious how your system holds up, because our current 80 Series is our prototype and we have a 97 Lexus LX-450 that we are planning to do something different with.
Looks amazing, great design. One question, do you put a cover over it to stop dust intruding?
Yes
very interesting wish to see it, project alive ?
LOL ok I take back my "leg" comment on the other video... Nice work... OFC my mind is already going as to how something like this can get into my Jeep...
Jeep version prototype done next week.
@@parnellpollioni that is amazing thank you for doing that!!
What are those Hinges called?
Nice work!
How and when can I purchase one?
Michael I love the kitchen but how do you keep the dust off of it???
It has a nylon waterproof dust cover that with a drawstring tucks around the bottom of the kitchen.
@@parnellpollioni You Sir, Have skill.
So what about when it gets covered in trail dust?
What happened to this, would love to order one?
What are you guys doing about dust
Cover
That’s why Parnels shirt says all star. Great job. I saw it at the expo and it looks fantastic.
I have been involved in youth baseball for a long time that's a tournament I hosted for District 52 this year.
Saw it in real life at Expo West. Very cool! How did it hold up during the trip? Still solid? OB#22250
how do I buy one??????
What do I have to do to fit this to my 62? It’s super cool!
Any dual swing bumper?
Info at link in description - there should be a few options
I'll take 900 of them. Could you get them to me by Tuesday?
Hahahaha
Are you selling transformer kitchen yet? How much?
Final, *for now (TM) lol!
This is an awesome invention however with so many options on the market I still don’t see how nobody has come out with an affordable option (personally speaking on a lower budget) How and Why are people paying multiple thousands of dollars for a “chefs kitchen” when a foldable table, pressured water tank, and collapsing stove does the same thing.
Would someone explain why these companies are able to charge so much for a DIY project build including materials would be sub $300
You probably won't get much support here. But, I'm with you!
@@solosaga5091 May you or anyone else reading this suggest a company or RUclips offering an affordable option. Thank you.
@@derekgibbins If I learn of one I will pass it along. I have my doubts I'll find any outside of a self-build though.
I've personally ended up just using the backpacking stove I bought for moto camping. It's small enough that I can cook inside my truck sleeper if conditions dictate. Plus, it's serves me well for truck or moto camping.
For me, fancy food prep is just not a priority. I have little use for a sink or running water as well. My biggest "luxury" is a 12V frig, and even that stays home on 1~2 night outings, or when taking the bike. The trail culinary [competition] is getting out of hand if you ask me. The Jones are free to go ahead, I don't mind being left behind.
time, pure and simple ... if your talking about something like the kitchen posted here... yeah a working version would easily be doable for sub $300 in materials....but it took atleast 200+ hours to figure out how to make a production variant... probably another 100+ hours to sort out production tooling. and your also paying the people that are designing and building it that have years of experience on how to build a product that can survive the market (sales and use). now.... how many are you going to sell (actually and hopefully) ...to recoupe those costs? just breaking even is foolish from a business stand point. havent even brought up marketing and storage costs (materials, and finished product ready to ship) ...etc .etc ... for the record... this is coming from someone who still will use a table and a camp stove, and totes too, however I am looking into building a chuck box camp kitchen, and built in storage for my rig. I've also spent pretty much my entire professional life in the fabrication and auto repair/upgrade field ... the backend costs that alot of people forget are what kills good ideas
It’s a neat idea, but it’s going to get so freakin dirty! It’s going to take two hours to hose it off before you can use it.
First
Boom
Wow. Where do I send my money Michael
Gonna be 3k???
If you do extended mileages over corrugations this will shake to pieces - sorry. If you stick to tarmac and softroading you may get away with it.
Looks great, just not practical. On a dirt road, it will be full of dust all the time. Needs to be inside the vehicle.
Mine will live inside my F350 but we do have a dust resistant cover that goes over the top. With initial testing it works pretty good.
Dust cover.
@@OverlandBound once you start using it off the tar road, with a cover. Still not as practical as inside. Cover will be full of dust, then you have to store the cover. You will see. The kitchen looks well made, but just needs to be inside.
