    Could you imagine if Alex Skolnick, Cliff Burton, and Gar Samuelson ever did a side project together... it’d be a technical masterclass!

      I couldn't understand how Gar could play a snare roll and hit the cymbals that fast, I have been trying to practice that. But, I keep struggling.

    Thanks! I can't really explain the fill, it's like some crash hits with snare hits in the middle. Gar used to do a lot of them in Megadeth.

    Dear Guywithno legs...BROTHER!...that was fuckin awesome!..Im a little older than you,lmao..and this record came out when I was a kid in school in like 88'. That happens to be my favorite song from the greatest album that Megadeth has ever done....and that my friend was the most on time-perfect-drum cover of Good Mourning/Black Friday I have ever seen. Im glad that I have someone out there who has shared the same metal dreams that i had as a kid and as a drummer from Boston,ma..despite all the dirtbag scumbags I have grown up with around here,lol..Stay true and stay strong...That was FUCKIN SIK!!!>>YEAhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh man!, John From Boston

    System was in my country too (Finland) last summer. It sucks that I didn't get to go see them! Oh well, I hope they start writing new material soon, even though it does seem kind of unlikely.
    And yeah, Dolmayan is a sick drummer. :D

    I can never do those while alternating hands cleanly. I end up gravity rolling with my left hand haha. Whichever way he did it, Gar's the man. Killer cover man :D

    I've been trying to do that, but there really isn't a good spot where I could place the camera. The spot where the drums are is relatively small.

    Dear god! Are you alright man? That part around 4:25 is insane, great job mate! What does the roll on the snare do? I've seen you do it in your more recent vids and it almost gives it a swirl sound.

    how did you do 3:59

    • @Vaginaattori
      @Vaginaattori 9 лет назад +2

      Luca Morpurgo It's just a basic snare roll followed by a basic fill on the toms.. Just use your wrists/fingers and keep them flexible through the movement. The easiest way to do it, is by not letting the stick rise very high from the drumhead. So basically just kinda accelerate the movement by keeping the stick ''pushed'' in. It's beginner stuff, but requires some speed and control.

      Vaginaattori thanks. this helps

  • @jonahmartinez6374

    It's okay, but doesn't match the original, especially after 4:03. There sound fast one foot stuff. Look for the Good Mourning/Black Friday isolated drum track.

      Whenever I get the chance to! That one kit seen in all of my videos still exists somewhere in my parents' garage. Acoustic sets just happen to make quite a bit of noise, hence why they haven't traveled with me from apartment to apartment, from city to city.
