    One really nice benefit to this is that you can sell your waste for scrap value instead of having to pay to get rid of it.

      Until the homeless squat your home and cut the deck of your house for scrap.😂

    • @drdecks
      @drdecks  9 месяцев назад +4

      Yes. Keep the scraps and recycle when it’s worth doing so. Then recycle the deck in 100 years as well

    Love it. Between the screaming cuts and all that impact driver rattle I'd have my hearing protection on all day though. Nice that the cut off scraps can go right into recycling.

    Wonderful video as always! Working on my second Outdure deck at the moment, by far the best aluminium subframe on the New Zealand market

    Great video and a lot of new information. How to install the railing posts on this aluminum frame and still put two blocks under the deck boards?

  • @loveeveryone8057

    Question. Would you use this material if you were building a deck above a sun-room below. Assuming that you installing a flat deck roof on top of the sun-room and using the aluminium for the structure below.

    Very interesting, how much does the easier and faster installation offset the higher material price?
    Great no bs video as usual!

      The speed will increase as we get more efficient with the product. It will always cost more but I think for all the pluses, it outweighs the cost increase

    Is it a 50% - 75% increase in the total price or in material? If it is material that it is a slam dunk value. If it is total cost then it is getting extremely expensive. Here in California materials are always

      It’s comparable to steel which is about 3x the price of PT framing.

    Do the downpipes connect to any pipes under the deck? Looks as if the water just discharges onto the ground under the deck?
    Are there any problems with electrolytic corrosion between, the stainless steel screws and aluminium framing?

    How do you deal with all the aluminum shavings that end up all over the ground after cutting?
    It won’t decompose like sawdust, and every last sliver is visible in the soil.

    • @drdecks

      We use a leaf rake to get a majority of it

      I mean the composite doesn’t break down either. And treated wood is poisonous and leaches into the environment. Aluminium looks bad but at least it’s inert.

    Do you like the aluminum over steel framing ? Want do you do if screw strips out ? How do you handle the Sharp burs from cutting? Looks like good quality system. Looking forward for the rest of your build. Thanks DOCTOR

    • @MrDougfunny7

    • @zekespops1
      @zekespops1 9 месяцев назад

      @@MrDougfunny7 we have no idea what his labor costs are. I live near him and employees are freaking expensive, I pay people with less skill than I had at 10 months more per hour than I made after 10 years. If you're cutting off 2-3 days of labor for 3 guys that could be 1600-2400 bucks. Just material for a deck that size is only like 1600 bucks.
