This was incredible, I liked everything about it. Richie’s playing was more to the fore than in Purple live versions I’ve seen. Doogie was great, and the ending was the best. Very dramatic.
Maybe, but Bruce has more dynamics and he's no better or worse than Ian Gillian. Even if he sings and sounds differently. In the end everybody loves another version this fantastic all-time Classic!

Dio was great and most of Rainbow's great music was made by Dio. He was a GREAT singer! But actually, I rank Graham Bonnet #1, Doogie #2, and Dio #3. All very close. Then a VERY far drop to Turner at #4 and Romero at #5. Doogie was Rainbow's most versatile singer - he can sing all the DP and Rainbow songs. No one else can do that! He's no Gillan, you're right - because NO ONE is Gillan! :-)

@Wingle23 Better than Gillan? No way! Doogie is definitely a good singer, Strangers in Us All has proved it, but he is a mediocre singer compared to Ian Gillan.
Don't get me wrong, I love Ritchie but listen to the "accidental" note at 0.15 when the keyboard player is playing his heart out, fairly typical of Ritchie ..... probably drunk. And I thought Doogie did a really good job with Rainbow Mark whatever but his voice doesn't really cut it for this song,
