Awesome
9:47 no that’s Stan Ford Pines from Gravity falls
Pretty sure that guys name is pronounced as the word ‘Quiet’
Is the part where the kuato falls out an x-files reference
Link not working
Stanford being in the vial is definitely a Gravity Falls reference
Stg this gotta be a memory of him and Stanford pines
definitely
With Justin gone, idk how they can reference his friend's shows
@@sassmos I mean, they've been referencing things since day 1. I don't think they're gonna stop because of Roiland. I know Alex was his friend but still, the universes are still connected
Why say 1. and not continue@@Projektblackacid
9:47 no, it’s Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls. That vial was also in the OG Morty’s Mindblowers episode, along with one labeled Bill C. And in one of the Gravity Falls books there was a memory tube labeled “Rick S.”
Also in the original episode BIll C was written on one of the vials, i think the blue one closest to the edge.
Oooh good catch!!
I haven’t laughed this much in a Rick and Morty show in a long time
I thought that the bar dude's name had no relation to Hawaii. Just a Kuato+Wyatt=Kwyatt.
Shit i thought it was Quiet as in be quiet and open your mind
I love the fact that Rick could’ve given himself psychic powers but instead chooses to wear the decoy all the time😂
Super-genius with psychic powers... No, too mainstream. Rock would never do it.
The taken reference is also forshadowed in the jericky episode when jerry was talking about Liam Neeson
This season of Rick and Morty is one of the best in a long time.
Yeah I think the last couple seasons have been mostly bleh and pointless, so they probably had a big mandate from management to make the stories more cohesive.
yup
😂 it’s literally the worst
I agree but this episode was not it
@@Dudewheresmycarnivorethis one episode was a pretty sad nothingburger, but this season has been good
“ Let’s see if these abs are waterproof “ makes total sense … 🤣
I wouldn't be suprised if Kuato Rick from 7x5 was put in so everyone would know what they are before this episode.
😑
9:46 maybe a nod to Stanford Pines?
I love this episode. It’s like they combined the concept of ‘total recall’ and ‘basket case’ to create this episode. Love the creativity😊
Total Recall is older than most of this shows viewers. *yawns*
@@aeonsbeyond??? So is every other movie they reference?
The “hot balls” memory is probably a top gun reference since they have the voice actor.
Goodness gracious, you're right.
Since Rick Prime had a Kuato, is this hinting that maybe his Kuato was in control and was the real villain? If so, did he escape?
No
The whole…
“I made you!
You would have been me!” Rant that Rick prime went on,
wouldn’t really be meaningful if it was all some creepy Kuato who was responsible the whole time.
And I bet you dollars to doughnuts,
that is going to become a plot point for Ricks character arch over the next few seasons
This episode had me laughing out loud lol, it pure fun and crazy! Loved it 😂
That Morty Mind blowers vial with the name Stanford probably references Gravity Falls again. After Rick and Morty is completed, I woudln't mind a spinoff "prequel" of Younger Rick meeting Stanford Pines back in the day. That would be an epic collab.
Rick also said Summer reminded him of his wife last season when he was sent back to his original universe
In this case, "Motion Smoothing" probably refers to using control loop algorithms to give smoother response and control to the hexapod legs. This lets the user control 18 or more joints with a joystick.
Bingo
This episode was a fun everything burger! I love how fun this season has been so far.
Thanks I worked really hard on it, glad you enjoyed it
I want to say I think the “Kenneth” reference is connected to Kenneth Branagh’s character in Wild Wild West, Dr. Lovelace. Especially with the mechanical spider.
12:59 bruce chut pants returns
Laughed at 'open your mind' almost every time 😄
Lol
It was good foreshadowing and good wordplay
2 digit i.q
@@HeenokTouch 👏👏 you did it, you made that comment. You must be at 140, I mean ...what are you even doing here😐
@@deelee1569okay
I love how I bought the season on prime and the analysis came out before the episode is even available for me to watch
I caved and bought it on RUclips. 🙃
I’m glad I wasn’t alone in this experience lol
Love the Fallout Pipboy reference with the attribute slider
The robot spider thingy could be a nod to the movie WIld Wild West.
okay but bruce chutback was in that episode on frolf
9:19 he kinda looks like Justin Roiland's character from Gravity Falls
9:46 no, i believe it talking about Sandford Pines from gravity falls and they did clash into each other and they are possibly friends.
9:46 could be a Stanford Pines/Gravity falls reference
My abs are waterproof 😂😂😂
The bartender was also a Shining reference.
Those are washboard abs. Hence the term waterproof because you have to dunk the washboard in water. It makes sense.
Just before when 11:50 takes place his minion looks like he's holding a Jacob's shotgun from borderlands
9:20 is a reference to episode 4 of this season. The dead bodys and spaghetti line up.
4:15 it's interesting that Morty's default stats have his intelligence and charisma at max. No wonder he can Rizz his way out of nasty situations and even if he is not as smart as Rick, he can hold his own and use Rick's tech even without his help
It’s crazy how polarizing this season is for the fanbase
Where do you know all that stuff? Amazing work 👏
Disc golf and Ultimate Frisbee are two different things and they combined them....
Shoutout to everyone else who bought it on prime and has to wait because they still haven't released it yet
The demon looks like Bolo from final space.
“Rugby huddle”= scrum
8:11 the subtitles call him “kwyatt”
yeah this bothered me lmao bc Hawaii wasn’t involved at all 😂
I found it really odd that they put this episode so soon after doing the Kuato Rick-Prime gag in Episode 5.
Aside from a couple references to previous episodes, I think it would have worked better to make this episode 3 if the season, and then have the Rick Prime be like an ‘of course he would have that trick too’ callback.
Overall, the episode stands fine on its own. Got to see some characters like Brad and Trish who haven’t been around much the last couple seasons.
I was thinking over the weekend, they should really do a Principal VaGina-centric episode. He deserves a spotlight for once.
Not sure if it was mentioned yet, but the cabbie makes a total recall reference when he says he has five kids to feed.
Weirdly enough this episode was foreshadowed in the evil Morty episode when Rick prime had a Kwato. This season has easily been one of the best since the original few seasons. I like the connective tissue in the season that rewards viewing of each of the episodes. I think Justin roiland brought down the series by being so hostile to continuity and the plot. Dan Harmon gaining more creative control was a great idea
Did no one catch the space taxi driver saying he has 5 kids (to feed)?
Screw you Benny!!!!!!
I catch Rick saying end the palestine war
Did you catch it ?
The gag with the smoke bomb made me laugh so hard
Nancy also was in the alien snakes episode. Hanging out in Summer’s room, so I guess they made up.
Apollo belts are nasty. Thank Rick and Morty for saying so
A cool detail is that Bruce Chutback is on the frolf team ( you see him at the end while they are playing it)
9:46 To me this just confirms the Gravity Falls/Rick and Morty connections...
I feel like the attribute slider is a recurring joke throughout the episode, much like the Taken references. It also feels like there's a link between "attributes" and the "particular set of skills" Neeson talks about on the phone
The « rugby huddle » is called a scrum ^^
12:57 Bruce Chutback
I'm pretty sure the ending with Kuato Morty winning the Frolf game is a reference to Lucas starring Corey Haim and Charlie Sheen
his name is Wyatt but with "ku" in front of it because its a douchy name and its kinda like kuato + wyatt lol
Crazy stupid fun episode i loved every kooky minute of it 😂😂😂
The scrum for Rugby
The captions said his name was Kyatt, like Quiet
12:01 hey is that bob odenkirk?
Inside job reference with the blue mushroom on Rick's ship
5:20 is it just me, or did he say "total rickall" when he meant to say "total recall"?
not just you
It's called a Scrum, mate.
this was a 7 min bit on saturday night live. the writing this season needs work.
Is Brad a reference to MKHB (Marques Brownlee) playing ultimate frisbee?
I think the attribute slider device is a reference to the pip boy in Fallout (New Vegas? I only played that one)
the attribute slider seems to be specifically referencing the Fallout series, with how it looks like a pipboy clamped on the arm, but then yeah, lots of rpgs do the attribute points system.
i literally thought of the pip boy as soon as i saw it, ive been playing Fo76 all week 😭😭
My favorite part is finding out their Frolf is Ultimate with a golf hole 🤣
9:47 No
It’s a reference to Stanford Pines
You know, the dimension hopper from gravity falls
Hey, wasn't that Bruce Chutback in the final frolf game? Must've gotten new pants...
A rugby huddle is called a scrum fyi
8:11 Kwyatt
Everyone just accepts the weirdness of the smith family now
@8:12 His name is Kwyatt
Motion smoothing is from robotics for keeping controllers and other inputs from being to jittery. Like a P.I.D. tuning on a 3D printer if you have any experience with those.
The label with "stanford" written on it could be a gravity falls reference
Idk how so much people don't get that reference
My mind went directly to Stanford Pines
The title also implies the plot of the episode. (Wet) Kuato Morty in Summer = Wet Kuat Amortycan Summer
13:16 The 69 jokes were also a direct reference to Squid Game, as one of the gold-masked elites kept making lame 69-jokes
Love the popping heads like the movie Scanners. The writers have good taste.
When Morty and Summer fused I thought this episode was gonna be really stupid, but it ended up being one of the funniest of the season. Didn’t escalate too much with its concept which a lot of the mid season episodes tended to do, just stuck with what it had and did really fun stuff with it
Summers math reminded me of j.j from no ordinary family
I do wish that this was uploaded a day later 😭 Since it doesn’t come out in the UK until one day after America
It was a great episode!
No it wasn’t.
Single worst episode in all of 7 seasons
@@roastedbeanz149Yes it was 😋.
@@KC_Smoothit was a pretty sad nothingburger
R&M 7x6 was amazing. this one 7x7. beating one 40 year old joke to death. must be a COVID coffee break at the studio
Rick also said to the haunting ghost in S6E1 Summer reminds him of Diane and Rick and Morty has crazy references I just don’t notice
That rugby huddle........ scrum (from Wales I correct haha) ❤
No one on a frisbee golf course calls it frolf.. also, the hole in the ground was weird… also, also, it’s mostly about beer and smoking.. like golf, but cheaper.
10:54 I was think more of the shallow water Naruto stands in when he links with with any of the tail beast. And even though it’s a Total Recall reference Morty is in the same spot where Kuruma, the 9-tailed fox, was sealed. And Remember Summer’s and Morty’s baby is named Naruto!
Good take i like it
9:47 WOAH don’t Stanford Pines from Gravity Falls and Rick know each other?
Rugby huddle is called a scrum! Smelliest part of the game!
The rugby union / league huddle is called a scrum
I would love an attribute slider if you could max out all the stats at the same time.
If i had that stat machine I'd be tempted to max out all the stats
You are incorrect. When Morty said "Let's see if these abs are waterproof" he wasn't trying to compose random words to seem cool because his intelligence dropped. It is because he was heading to the pool outside to get himself wet for the pictueres Tricia was about to take .
You are wrong sir 5:38 they are sentient cakes vs real cakes. Not humans ;)
Scrum, it’s a scrum
Hey the Stanford tube at 9:51 could be referring to Stanford Pines, and not the Stanford Prison Experiment.
Rick and morty did use to post easter eggs related to gravity falls, maybe it's a nod to that
yes
9:47
Stanford pines from gravity falls
4:22 it's not a nothing joke Morty has washboard abs
I was tired of the "Open your mind" phrase 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
