She’s so sweet and a wonderful balance. I’m not religious at all but she provides a fascinating, and soothing look into a different way of life and religion! I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves her but doesn’t totally relate in some major way!
The best neighbors I ever had were Mennonite, when we moved in they often brought homemade cinnamon rolls and bread, so welcoming and kind. They had a young daughter, Mary, who they allowed to come over and play with two little girls her age I was babysitting at the time and in the summer they liked to play in the sprinkler. The other little girls had swimsuits but Mary did not and obviously playing in her dress wasn’t an option, so her mother bought her a swimsuit to wear under her dress. That may not have been completely acceptable but I thought it was a very loving compromise. She was so excited to be able to play with the other little girls and I admired her family even more. That was many years ago and I’ve often wondered what happened to Mary, her family left a very positive impression on us.
I love how you're quick and spontaneous with your answers. To me, it shows you're being genuine about letting your viewers really KNOW you, instead of getting them to like you or trying to convince people how amazing you are. I, for one, don't need convincing. 😉
Thank you so much for being open about your beliefs and answering questions about mennonite's. I grew up near a mennonite community (back in the 70's) and we were told not to ask questions. Wish I could have back then, but glad you are here to put things straight. You gave very good advice about being married. Thanks for having your channel, I enjoy watching your videos. Take care!
My boyfriend says everyday when he would wake up his mom would be on the couch reading her bible & i just thought that would be exactly how i want my children to picture me when i come to mind. I totally get the physical Bible thing!!
I wonder how many none Christians watch your channel? I am a Hindu, (biracial, mother was Christian but all off her children choose to follow our father’s faith) I also live in England, I find your channel super interesting. Thank you for making your faith and life style so accessible to strangers, we may not walk the same path but it is good to look over the “fence” into another person’s life, faith and belief. Respect to you. Love your recipes by the way. YUM. 🇬🇧
My grandmother was a Mennonite who married a Baptist and made her family rather upset. I'm glad she did though, she was an amazing lady who worked hard and loved her family. I didn't know her very well, she passed away before I turned 12, but I know my dad learned a lot from her growing up and he passed those values of hard work and honesty on to his children.
My hubby and I attend a Baptist church. We laughed so hard when we heard you say you thought it was the Baptists who believe in the quiver full concept. There may be some Baptists who practice this, but in our experience that is not a rule we've seen taught in any Baptist church. I know some Christians who practice that belief, but this are not mandated by the church. It is a personal conviction some believers hold. There are as may "brands" of Baptist as there are of Mennonites. I find your videos delightful. Thanks for your sweet spirit! Sarah
We stayed in an air B&B one time and they had a little guest book where you could sign your name and add where you're from and any comments. I thought that was such a cute idea and made it seem more personal. Thank you for all your great tips and being open and fun to learn from and watch. ❤️
I totally understand what you’re saying about wanting your children to see you read the Bible and not the Bible on your phone. I have the same thoughts!
That comment stood out to me too, and it's a concept I hadn't thought about before! ... Maybe because I don't get up until the baby wakes me up at 8:30ish... heh.
I love your vids Megan. They is such a purity about you that is so refreshing. In this world, there is so much that's loud, crass and offensive, so keep doing what you're doing. You could lead many to Christ who become turned off by what the world offers, and are drawn to what is pure and noble and right. Greetings from Australia.
I have just found your channel. It’s lovely. My husband’s uncle was pastor of Easton Mennonite Gospel Mission until 2003. We were married in that church. It’s wonderful to see such beautiful example of a Mennonite woman. May God continue to bless you and your beautiful family.
I think it is important to mention that not all Mennonites dress the way the way conservative Mennonites do. I think a lot of people just say Mennonite, but conservative Mennonites usually wear the more strict clothing. I am a Mennonite and its totally fine for us to wear pants to church. thank you so much for these videos, absolutely amazing. also, I would love to see a makeup video. much love and God bless!!
Yes, I agree. There are many Mennonite churches in my area. In most of the churches, the women don't wear head coverings, or skirts and dresses, (unless they want to) and they pretty much dress like the average person. That's most of the Mennonite churches, there are, however, some more conservative Mennonite churches and that is where the dress changes.
13:18 😂 I’ve been thinking the same thing about my head coverings! I am not Mennonite but cover my head when praying, the head coverings most people in my church use are basically transparent scarves...so I too have come across the thought that it’s really not covering my hair...
Loved it! Love how you told us (me) to get up and do dishes while watching (or something productive). Yes!! I needed to hear that. I try to save the videos to watch when I’m doing dishes, but I get excited when they pop up and binge watch.
I'm in a really difficult season of my life and watching RUclips is my way of taking my mind off things. You are so genuine, full of energy and inspiring! Thank you for sharing your life and wisdom with us 😊

“Take them (kids) one at a time...you really can’t plan ahead”. Yes! Thank you that is refreshing. It’s something I tried to follow and I have five adult kids and six grandkids and am so happy I did not conform to “the world’s” views on having kids. No regrets!
Single here, non Mennonite and I enjoy watching all your videos. I am actually bingeing watching your channel especially during lockdown here in Sydney, Australia. I don't remember how I got to your channel and am glad I did as I can't stop watching all your videos. I could watch you whole day and whole night long haha. Love your good energy, positive vibes, loving and sincere personality.
These look delish! I love making Whoopie Pies! Our Menno Church did a cookbook years ago and I find myself always going back to those old tried & true recipes! When our kids went to school, they always wanted me to make whoopie pies on special days. So I began taking my whoopie pie recipe and baking it in mini muffin tins! Then I thin my filling with milk a bit and pipe it on as frosting. EVERYONE at their schools LOVED when I made them!! My chocolate whoopie pie recipe makes about 90 mini muffins and pumpkin makes about 3 or 4 dozen. And there’s plenty of frosting for them! And it’s perfect for kids as 2 minis are the perfect treat amount! (And yes they freeze beautifully!). And thank you for the pricing tip at Sight & Sound! I have never heard they are half price for us locals! (And we’ve been here 22 yrs!) LOL! Thanks! Blessings to you as you unpack and get situated at your new place!! Xo
This was such a cozy video! I've been sick in bed for 5 days after getting my wisdom teeth removed and your channel was a god-send! Thank you for all you do! You are definitely one of my fave youtubers now!!
Hey Megan. Not staring at a screen while sitting down is a great idea. Of course I watched this video while waiting to board at the airport... I'm definitely not perfect, haha. Seriously though I am going to give it a try. In my daily life I've been spending a lot of time on my phone. There's nothing wrong with checking out videos, but most of the time I don't feel productive if I'm just sitting around staring at a screen. I admire how you think about what your daughter sees and learns from you. Thank you! Liked your video!
Yes, I watch/listen to a lot of RUclips, but not a lot of sitting around. Josh says I need to relax more, but to me watching RUclips while working IS relaxing!
That’s a great idea! It feels like such a waste of time to sit and watch video after video. I am also setting my daughter up for this bad habit too. She loves to watch videos but spends way too much time on screens and it’s my fault. 🤦🏻♀️ ‘Monkey see monkey do’ lol
I just love listening to you and I appreciate you sharing the honest details of your life and religion. I just came back from a weekend in Lancaster County and was watching videos to learn more about Amish and Mennonites. When I found your channel I was hooked! You are so charismatic and I'm pleasantly surprised to see that I'm not the only non-Mennonite who enjoys your videos.
So fun! Your advice for handling 2 under 2 is great. I was bad about comparing myself and my kids to other moms and their kids. Comparison really is the thief of joy. We are all doing our best and it won't look the same and that's okay. Thank you for sharing this Megan!
I too started studying James this morning and oh my, I can totally relate about quiet times right now, with the littles in the house. It's a season for sure!
Funny story. I watch a lot of sewing videos (historical sewing usually) and your video popped up for the 3 seam dress. I watched and thought, she's fun. Cut to 10 binge watched videos later I realized I should probably subscribe. If you ever started a podcast I would listen. You have one of those personalities where just talking about everyday things is made engaging and entertaining. Keep up the good work.
@Poneyfeathers I stopped wearing makeup with any regularity about 15 years ago and almost completely a decade ago. I also use nothing to wash my face but a washcloth and warm water. The absolute only "product" is a cheap Dollar General moisturizer that has an spf of 30 and then it is about half the amount they recommend to use. I still get a rare chin breakout but my skin is the best it's ever been and I am just celebrating turning 55.
I love to listen to you. Bless your heart. I have lots of Amish friends in KY, which I think the world of. I could listen to you all day, if I had the time and didn’t have to do my housework. I am a born again Christian, so I love your referring to the Bible verses. Thanks for the questions and answers. 👍🏻
Yes!!!! Please do a video on your testimony. I know your a Christian, but I’d like to know when you came to know The Lord. I’d love to watch that video. It’s so refreshing to watch a channel where I know there will be nothing embarrassing or make me feel bad because I’ve watched something I shouldn’t have.
My Pastor always says "quality over quantity" whenever doing a devotional or reading the Bible :). Taking that advice to heart has made me much less judgmental towards myself and my relationship with God.
Jessica Boyer even if it was just talking us through it and explaining it and could even show it on a wig or something maybe since I know she’s said before that she probably wouldn’t be comfortable coming on camera without her hair done and that may be a bit more comfortable for her
I love that you speak quickly, but still so easily understood. I'm 60, and some of my fondest memories are coming home late and seeing my mom reading scripture. Sometimes asleep with them in her lap. 😄 Keep up the great example you're setting for everyone.

If I come to Lancaster again, we need to meet up!! We took our honeymoon there, and watched a Sight and Sound show as well...then went there again for our 5th anniversary. Needless to say, we love it there 😁
I loved multitasking with you! I'm in the middle of packing to move all by myself and it's been hard to find things that I can just listen to for a while. Thanks so much for sharing part of your day with us. This would be a nice monthly QnA set up.
So wonderful and refreshing to see a "millennial" who loves the Lord and her family and who cares about modesty. I love being able to watch all the way through and not feeling like I need to shut it off. Thank you, Megan!
Loving this video. Thanks for sharing so openly with us. I admire your homemaker skills and your personal attention to your sweet family. I grew up in Mercer County among Amish and Mennonites. It's been too long since we visited Lancaster and need to do that soon.
Your personality is perfect for this!!! “Are you guys having fun b /c I am !” So cute. I just found your channel and pretty fun. Just like you said do the dishes and multitask while listening. Going to Instagram next. You are close to my son’s age. He will be 30 end of oct. love learning about your religion. When visiting my dad, loved to visit with the Amish when we ran into them. Loved supporting their bakery. Still have my piano bench cover that an Amish made and that is about 35 yrs old. I am LDS so modesty is big for me too.
I ran across your channel yesterday. I had no idea what I would be watching, well listening to, because I was painting a closet while listening. I honestly clicked on it because we share the same last name. I find your content to be very refreshing. Thanks for sharing!
I absolutely love that you said you want your lil ones seeing you read your bible when they get up instead of seeing you on your phone. I try to keep that vibe for myself at home.
Non conformity to secular views of modesty vs a Christian viewpoint. The 2 are different depending on how conservative or traditional the particular denomination might be.
What a wonderful young woman you are. You are an inspiration and you are using your gifts beautifully. Im going to share your videos with my 20 year old daughter. I love that you are sharing your wisdom with others, so refreshing. God bless you!
Children need breaks from their mom, too, and they don’t feel guilty. Neither should you - a break helps the children grow in confidence and independence, IMO. Thanks for answering those questions and sharing your thoughts with your YT family.
I just discovered your channel yesterday and I've been binging your videos! There's something in you I relate so much to. My husband and I also got married in 2013 and he was 19 and I was 20 as well! Anyway, just know that your videos have had a really positive impact on people, and I can't wait to get to know you more! ❤️
I would love to hear about what cosmetics you use! You always look put together but I always wonder if you’re wearing anything which means you’re doing it right.
Watching during my gestational Diabetes test. Test better be negative so I don't have to give up treats like these 🤣 Always enjoy Q&As (and your videos in general).
Love your videos and your so down to earth!!! I love listening to you about your faith as I have similar convictions....I did not become a Christian until my 30’s and I’m so blessed and thankful for these types of videos.... I have 4 children and they are such a blessing. I have homeschooled 2 of them for a few years and they do public school as well now :)God bless ...
Oh my goodness, my husband and I were married in 2015 and I was twenty and he was nineteen! It’s always nice to see a couple who were married at the same ages, young marriage is so vilified.
Hey! I'm a future nurse (2 more years of school) and I would love to know what information you wish healthcare providers knew about Mennonite men/women/children or ways that we could personalize our care to your beliefs/ lifestyle. Anything I nurse could do/ know that would impact your care? Thank you again for opening your home to us outsiders and sharing your life with such love and joy!
Megan can I just say you are such an inspiring woman! I love your energy and your openness! The question about keeping your cool with your kids I was glad to hear your answer, we dont have any children yet but I just imagine the person that I am I wud easily lose control and yell and I dont want to be that mom that's always yelling and scolding:( I pray so hard that when the time comes that we do have children that God will give me more patience and help me "keep my cool"! On a side note I'm excited to try the waffle whoopie pies! Wondering if u cud share the frosting recipe?:)
I absolutely love your channel! It’s inspired me to possibly start my own channel as a Chassidic Orthodox Jew ! Still working up the courage but you have definitely pushed me to give it a go!
Please do! We saw several Hasidic families out and about when we visited my sister-in-law and brother-in-law in New York, so now I'm very curious to learn more about your community. :)
My husband & I both feel the same way about wanting our son to see us reading our Bibles, not screens. And he’s 10 now & reads his Bible every morning & has been doing that for several years now. And he definitely started doing it because he saw us doing it.
Haha! Totally washing my dishes while listening to you. I agree about reading your actual Bible, God had been convicting me about using my phone instead as I would often get distracted. Also my children who are 7 and 3 need to see their mother devoting time to God's word.
I just came across your channel and I admit, I don’t normally watch these type of videos; however, there is something very refreshing about your content. It seems like you’re not a “promoter” like a lot of RUclips. I live outside of Ohio’s Amish country and have always wanted to learn, if that makes sense, from the Amish/Mennonite community
I really enjoy your videos! The mennonites in my community are quite different, the majority are German and wear handmade dresses that all look very similar. They are very quiet and don't interact socially. I always try to smile and greet them and sadly the look away. I do admire them, their children are always very well behaved! The only time I ever see them is when they come to the grocery store or the husbands work as farm hands.
I just joined your channel a few days ago and I love it!!!You are so real and down to earth and so easy to relate to.You have so much great energy that I think you inspire people to get up and get things done.
I love your advice to moms of newborns not to set too many rigid expectations for that period. I'm like you and get disappointed very quickly when my goals aren't achieved. 💜
You are the absolute best! I found your channel this week, and I have really enjoyed getting to see you do your everyday life :) I feel pretty joyful and inspired!
You're fun to listen to. Plus it makes me want to make some waffles. I ended up making pasta, while I watched this video. It felt a little like listening & chatting with a friend in one's kitchen--casual, easy breezy, light.
I love whoopie pies and love making them from my grandmother's recipe but ours was completely different. It was more like a chocolate cake cookie with fluffy icing in the middle rather than a waffle cookie. I am totally intrigued by your waffle whoopie pies. I have to try them! I really enjoyed your q&a session as well. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for a great Q&A. May God continue to bless you and your family. My Grandma would make Whoopie Pies around Christmas every year. Have always loved the chocolate ones. This past year my Grandma has moved to an assisted living facility with no kitchen. I will miss her Whoopie Pies so much. I guess I'll have to make them. Thanks for the recipe.
So glad I came across your channel! I grew up with the impression that Mennonites were a cult. But watching your channel has helped me see that it is not so! and that you have a relationship with Christ!!
I love these Q&A videos you do, your so down to earth and real about your life and experiences you have. Subscribed a week ago and I’ve watched almost every video you’ve posted. Love your channel!
I cleaned up and organized my desk, cleaned my air conditioner and caught up on some paperwork while listening/watching. I don't have small kids, in fact, mine are grown but I do enjoy watching your videos. I wear only skirts and dresses now but that is not how I have always dressed. I do find it is easier to get dressed and feel more feminine dressing this way. I enjoy hearing you squash myths about Mennonites and learning more about your beliefs. I am a Christian and live as closely as I can to everything in the Bible. As a human, I know we make mistakes and one of those in my life was judging others. I was raised in a home where I was taught to judge and it never made me feel good, I always wanted to know why I had to judge someone and why their way was wrong and ours wasn't even though now I see that the way I was taught was very wrong. I have learned as I got older not to be that way even though that is how I was raised and feel so much better. My husband and I raised our children not to judge. People just don't take time to understand others it seems. Thank you for sharing.
Mama Kat's Home, I read this somewhere not sure where but it is so true: God doesn't judge until you're dead, so why should you. Isn't that a perfect reason to not judge others.
@@margaretbedwell58 absolutely! In my experience it just hurt me to judge others as I was taught to do. I missed out on getting to know people because of it. That is why years ago I decided to forget that teaching and not judge and also to teach my children differently. Now, I can be free to love.
@@MamaKatsHome Very wise of you...but don't beat yourself up for the way you were taught, I'll bet there were other lessons that were taught that were not nearly so harsh.
@@MamaKatsHome and the fact that he didn't judge gave you permission to not judge either. Now you are teaching your children not to judge and the chain is broken. Have a Blessed day.
We love your channel! You are such an inspiration to us, we are looking to add more cooking videos with the kiddos. Thank you for your time and videos. 😊
Whoopie pies are delicious...I can't wait to make them!! I would love to bump into you in Lancaster or someplace in Pennsylvania!! I love your videos Megan!!❤
You're such a sweetheart, and wise beyond your years. Btw I needed a quick between-meals snack for weekend visitors so I made the ranch pretzels. We ate some together while watching Shark Tank, and when they left they gladly took the rest with them. Thank you!
Thank you for always having something positive and uplifting to say! I love listening to you while I am cleaning/cooking/... I haven’t made your whoopie pies yet, but I made your biscotti as Mother’s Day gifts! They were a huge hit!
I also like Our Daily Bread! I do look at it on my phone before bed some nights. But you can receive the physical monthly devotional booklet. It’s nice to have the physical copy because then it’s also accessible to my son.
Not a mom. Not a wife. Not a mennonite.
But I am here for this woman 👏👏👏
Could listen to you all day

I was raised Quaker and am now atheist. I enjoy the honesty and kindness and just learning about how someone else lives!

Xo
You are so sweet! Keep it up, we need more ppl like you in the world!
‘Monkey see monkey do’ lol
I have just recently found your channel while searching out dress patterns, and I have enjoyed the few videos I have seen so far.
You’re one of my favourite RUclipsrs at the moment... keep going with the great content 🙌🏼
Thank you for your videos! I enjoy the longer videos while I clean. Your voice is so uplifting and cheerful thanks!
So fun! Your advice for handling 2 under 2 is great. I was bad about comparing myself and my kids to other moms and their kids. Comparison really is the thief of joy. We are all doing our best and it won't look the same and that's okay. Thank you for sharing this Megan!
Thank you, your videos are such a breath of fresh air and your spiritual humility is also refreshing and helpful.
Please do a video about makeup! I would love to hear your conservative views
When you dont wear makeup, the skin is able to breath. I used to wear make up and choose to drop it. So much freedom in my morning routine now. Lol. 😁
I love that I found you on RUclips! Where my dad is from in Mexico there’s a “rancho” of Mennonites called “La Honda”. They make the best cheese!
My Pastor always says "quality over quantity" whenever doing a devotional or reading the Bible :). Taking that advice to heart has made me much less judgmental towards myself and my relationship with God.
Love your energy! So glad your channel has grown so much! It wasn’t that long ago when you had 7k.
Love from a new Christian channel💕
Would you ever be willing to do a video about how you do your hair?
Jessica Boyer even if it was just talking us through it and explaining it and could even show it on a wig or something maybe since I know she’s said before that she probably wouldn’t be comfortable coming on camera without her hair done and that may be a bit more comfortable for her
I love that you speak quickly, but still so easily understood. I'm 60, and some of my fondest memories are coming home late and seeing my mom reading scripture. Sometimes asleep with them in her lap. 😄 Keep up the great example you're setting for everyone.

Washington State
If I come to Lancaster again, we need to meet up!!
I've thought about it! I've done it once before last fall with dipping caramel apples. You could check that one out.
I agree! It is so important for our children to see us reading paper scriptures, not the digital version on our phones!
Can you go more into detail on the the principal of nonconformity that you talked about near the beginning?
I love how honest you are about your parenting, i am definitely a yelling mom, but I don’t like to admit it.
The Whoopee pie looks so good. Making me hungry! Thanks Megan for taking the time for this video.
Right !Her skin is flawless!
Shark tank! Girl after my own heart! and I love that your into the actual bible. Thought I was the only one!
Watching during my gestational Diabetes test. Test better be negative so I don't have to give up treats like these 🤣 Always enjoy Q&As (and your videos in general).
Kaylynn Keith and what were your results?? 💕
@@bethbullock8572 No GD! WHEW. so my sweet tooth has been allowed to control like ... Uh... 87% of my eating habits 😂
This is such a thoughtful question!! I’m not Mennonite but I think it’s really considerate and sweet ;)
@@arianahelvie5033 ❤ thanks ❤
I came from Fundie Fridays and I just had to say that I LOVE your kitchen. So cute!
Would love to hear about this sleeping through the night method! Thanks for answering these questions!
Welcome!!!
I wish I had positive people like you in my real life.
You're fun to listen to. Plus it makes me want to make some waffles. I ended up making pasta, while I watched this video. It felt a little like listening & chatting with a friend in one's kitchen--casual, easy breezy, light.
Always excited when you release a new video! And you're always so much fun to watch;)
I’m so glad I found your channel! Your very calming to watch
This is such a great video ~ thank you for sharing! I always enjoy your videos 💕
Loving these longer videos! And would love to hear a video about the makeup you use/don’t use 😊
I enjoyed listening to you while doing my chores. Thank you for the company.
So glad I came across your channel! I grew up with the impression that Mennonites were a cult. But watching your channel has helped me see that it is not so! and that you have a relationship with Christ!!
DV O my new FAVORITE channel. I love her !!
Lol I was about comment on not seeing the finished Whoopie Pie and you pooped back ! Thanks, first time watching and really enjoyed it.
Megan!!! Your waffles looks delicious. I would love to make these. Thank you
They do! Now I want to make some
I love these Q&A videos you do, your so down to earth and real about your life and experiences you have.
@@margaretbedwell58 thank you and yes, there were many good lessons. Especially from my Daddy, he was one who didn't judge others and loved everyone.
Love multitasking!! I enjoyed listing while taking down wallpaper in my kitchen! Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings!
You're such a sweetheart, and wise beyond your years. Btw I needed a quick between-meals snack for weekend visitors so I made the ranch pretzels. We ate some together while watching Shark Tank, and when they left they gladly took the rest with them. Thank you!
Love it!
Your excitement is contagious! So glad to know a third baby is still exciting!
I would love to see a whats in my bag/makeup bag video!
Thank you for always having something positive and uplifting to say! I love listening to you while I am cleaning/cooking/... I haven’t made your whoopie pies yet, but I made your biscotti as Mother’s Day gifts! They were a huge hit!
Love hearing this!
I love putting on your videos while I get some knitting done. Feels like we are multitasking together!
Enjoyed learning about you. That is a never ending bowl of batter!! Thanks for sharing.
I am so thankful you are on you tube thank you so much for all the information you give
Oh my gosh. You made my day with your ‘’ meal descriptions’ 😀 I just BELLY LAUGHED
I also like Our Daily Bread! I do look at it on my phone before bed some nights. But you can receive the physical monthly devotional booklet. It’s nice to have the physical copy because then it’s also accessible to my son.
