A dozen years later and this still hits right in the feels.
Until I watched this I didn’t get how deeply heartbreaking this song is. The commercial version is more upbeat, which doesn’t quite capture the depth of his pain and growth. A beautiful song nonetheless.
We are so fortunate to be experiencing the birth/rebirth of Americana. My ears & senses will forever be grateful. The off key harmonies in this are haunting & beautiful.

This song reminds me of my Grandpa who passed last year with all of his grandchildren and wife married for over 60 years by his side. Amazing band, amazing song.

Amen! Although...there is. 4-part harmonies :) Had there been a second female part, they would easily have sounded incredibly similar to The Mamas & The Papas which is a breathtaking sound I've been looking for in another group for years.

I've had a rough past 14 months, and this song pretty much summed it up for me. Thank you guys for putting to words and music what I've been feeling lately. Some might consider this a sad song, but it's far from that. It's a song of hope, vision and love. It's everything humankind needs.
