I love bands that sounds like their albums.
+Emiliano Haag Obviously it's better than sounding like a stripped-down version, but why not just listen to the album then ? It's better when they transform the songs, play different versions of them.

Bands with no creativity usually do that. Play only what they have trainned to do.
Alternatively, they record what they know they can play live

My God, they sound exactly the same live as they do in their album, it's great
I don't really enjoy this, with only a few exceptions. I think live performance should have a differential. Something unique.

They harmonize beautifully together...with so much soul.
The xx has a sound that's kind of hard to nail down. It's like they play with a level of intensity that's kept right below the surface or something. It's hard to explain, but they are probably my favorite current band.
I think every song they write has the energy of two people who are secretly, passionately in love with each other, but they are both married to other people, so they go on acting as if they're friends, and there is this dormant volcano just waiting to explode everyone's life.

I just finished watching this. They are so talented and so young. Oliver said they have been together with the writing and music since they were 15 or 16 years old. Wonderful to see them evolve and grow...and to think they actually use their personal relationships for all their songs..very smooth very cool..very organic and natural. I'm so glad I saw them on SNL in Nov.2016 and to think they've been around all this time and I'm just now getting into them...They are mesmerizing, the combination of swaying smooth Rhythms and rich deep and haunting voices...sometimes a whisper, other times, intense and deeply low. Wonderful!

This is my favorite band. What is fenomenal about this band is that their song can mesmerize and completely cover us with the emotion it is radiating. Their first song I heard was Intro, and what a fenomenal song it is. Since then, I am listening to The XX on a regular basis and I never get bored.

er mah gur! I totally know what you mean! I did not like the xx at all when i first heard them but now theyre one of my favourites! If I added all the time that I have listened to 'the intro' it would be around a week straight :P

I love this set. Sunset is my favorite, found the video late summer of 2014. Reminds me of then, a sad but nostalgic time.

one of my favourite bands ever, i lay back in my chair, turn this up and fade away, become one with the music. This band is like an experience, it doesn't just go in one ear and comes out the other like most pop songs nowadays.

The xx is for sure one my favorite modern musical band, one of the main reason is cuz, in the musical jungle, they do this so specific sound, I have never heard before, they invented a new style of music.
i dont understand how anyone could not like this.
