Thanks maté for sharing one more great video on your journey to making your home safe and secure and telling us how to do it God bless your all and your family and your friends as always Joe from England Great Britain.
You can also add an LTE modem them, if you don't have WIFI, and tie it in via the Ethernet. From there you can add camera and software for license plate recognition / recording. We got into this where I work, so much you can do with gate access. Cool video Tony!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Toni, I am a Ham Radio operator, and my station took a significant lightning strike in the early 1990s. That put me on the path to learn how to protect my station and I have learned a lot. Without seeing your setup there is one thing I want to suggest and that is a surge suppressor for your panel box(s). Another thing you will want to consider with your solar stuff is the concept of a single point ground. That means that all of your equipment is bonded to a single ground point.
My solar stuff is a single ground. So far, all of my solar stuff is faring well. This outlet is GFI, but the gate pooped out. I am glad we had the new one ready to install. I have always been interested in HAM radios.

Thank you my friend. This video is not that flashy, but maybe it will help someone. Real things around the farm.
