Love your channel bub. I have a new homestead channel. We are also from Oklahoma. I also want to thank for your service as a state trooper. I hope my family gets to meet yours one day. I pray you're blessed.
Daniel I have a ghost system. Do yourself a favor and use a deep cycle marine battery. It will save you some frustration later. Those little batteries work ok for a while but I had to switch to a bigger one works much better now.
I love arms family homestead! What an increasingly fun family! They have inspired me so much! I hope everyone who is reading this is having a great day!😃
She is a lucky lady having you for a husband Daniel! You are an amazing husband and father of 3 great kids and it gives us great pleasure watching your videos, thanks! 🌿🌸🌿
Hey Daniel just a suggestion is get some rubber air hose and slit it and cut it to length and put your wires in it for added protection from the elements and weedeaters. Zip tie or electrical tape to hold in place.
Hello Daniel, I would suggest that you secure the pins on the arms, someone could pull the pins out and get onto your property. Just a suggestion and your Channel is FANTASTIC, keep up the great work TJ
The gate looks awesome. This is still the best homestead channel on RUclips. Yes, I might consolidate some of the wires into a flex conduit to give them some added protection, but the project looks great. Well done.
Daniel, I think your Daddy would be right proud of your handiwork with this gate and fence. I won’t lie and say I don’t miss the original. This turned out nicely indeed. Farming is never ending and you are always making improvements to your homestead. Y’all are certainly blessed with your family, faith and farm. A blessing indeed. Everyone have a blessed day today and every day. 🌎❤️😊
Daniel, the gate looks fantastic. Your explanation for installing the opener was very clear. That Ghost opener looks like a good product. Adding the solar panel option was a wise decision. This should provide extra privacy and security for you and your family. Dang, that sure turned out well Daniel. Great job.
I think the only thing I would have done differently would have been to mount the solar panel up on top of the frame where it would be more difficult for someone to unscrew and abscond with.
Great job Daniel! Cool gate..love the "A!" Everyone needs privacy, especially folks with over half a million RUclips followers!! lol Love your family! Great videos & family oriented content. Also thankful that you mention your Lord & Savior often..love that! We proudly wear our AFH t-shirts!!
Congrats good sir. The Gate! is proud and not overstated. Artwork on your crest between the gate folds. Impressive. I guess you searched inside for a smith. I'd like to suggest you later add to your security, the instruments be fit within a safe box, elevate your solar up , since you can take use of your 14 ft road clearance. Very Nice!
So you want to keep out what my mom used to call looky-loos LOL. Yeah you're still get some but it'll slow them down anyway. Now just add a no trespassing no hunting sign. Add reflector on a stick with a stop here for people pulling up to the inside the gate to keep clear
I'm so happy Daniel, to see your new security gate installed. Being a popular RUclips creator, I have been concerned for you and your family! There are lots of crazy people out there! Thanks Daniel for getting the new security gate to protect your family!
Your Dad taught you the importance of self sufficiency as my Dad did. You do things that most people have to hire to be done. I LOVE LOVE your channel. Keep on living the dream !!! I'm envious !!
Well at least you have quick access for when the battery is dead or not charged. Pull the lock pins on the openers and you can manually open the gates. You might want to consider putting a bolt through those openers.
Been waiting for the video! We just installed our ghost controls two weeks ago. We don’t mind leaving the property now! No more getting out. I installed a cable to increase range on remote. Getting 985 foot from gate to house now.
Nice!! Need to put a sign on the inside for visitors that don't know or understand how an automatic gate system works something like "Stop Here for Gates to Open". This way may avoid the possibility of the gates from getting damaged.
Couple of questions: 1) Is your mailbox outside the gate? If so, how do you stop theft of mail and/or packages? 2) Do you get trash removal? Do you have to haul the cans outside the gate on trash day?
We have a .3 mile long lane with grass on the fenced sides. The fences are high tensile with a Gallagher energizer that puts out 9,500 volts of jolt. Everything is topped with a hot wire, including gates. The cattle graze the lane, which eliminates mowing and the locked and electric fence/gates keep cattle rustlers away. 🤠👍 ⚡️
Great video, nice job. Little tip on buried conduct tie light weight string to a smaller foam ball then the ID use a vacuum to suck that thru and pull a larger rope thru to pull wires.
Love the new addition. That gate is super nice!! I stumbled across your videos a few days ago, and I cannot stop watching. I love the farm life!! Your family is so inspirational!!!!!
So they do sell conduit Lube you could use which makes it it really easy to run wire through conduit just a heads up for next time Home Depot Lowe's or Menards sell in the electrical aisle it's clear it's biodegradable it's awesome
Nice job, it looks very nice. I wonder if you should mount the solar panel up a little higher out of reach and maybe mount a fake camera up there as well. John
Check out the locks for where the openers connect to the gate. Those Carter keys easy to remove and just push the gates open. Just a little more security...
I love the gate and everything about it. I used to live in a gated community and felt the gate gave us just a little more security. This is great for you and the family.
I always use a piece of plastic bag attached to the string and a vacuum to suck the line through. That way you can bury the line and run the string later. I also use poly twine because it won’t ever break when pulling.
Daniel: Have you considered using a trench, berm and boulder system? Trench a drainage ditch 15" or more deep and 24"-36" wide outside the weak areas of fence, piling the dirt from the ditch behind the ditch creating a berm between the trench and fence. Large boulders placed in remaining weak spots further curtail access, they work really well between large trees. This system will bottom-out or high center almost any vehicle. the 15" ditch and 15" berm creates a 30" high obstacle. This is project only requires a little planning, and time but little money. If you change your mind or need to access areas using the system, just push the berm back into the ditch and move the boulders. Easy to install, easy to remove. Blessing to you. Tell Houston hello. He's a great kid.
Good job Daniel! It looks great & added security is always a good thing. Then there's the not having to get out to open & close gates in bad weather thingies. You're a good man, Daniel!
Daniel you need to put a lock on each gate opener through one of the pens, those are to simple for someone to unclip cut the wires and take your openers. Take it from someone who use to build and install electric gates. People would even unpen an opener and drive into someone property so they had to put a lock at each end of there motors so that no one could unpen them and drive in.
Hey Daniel, in today's world you can never have too much security. You done a nice job on wiring everything together, now you can rest a little bit easier knowing you have the front covered. So whats next for AFH keep up the good work and see you in the next video😉
I'm a retired Deputy as of July 2020 so today I price a new exmark mower come home to think about it turn on u tube and here you are touting exmark I guess someone's telling me something I think I'm sold nice gate
Nice look gate!!! You didna great job Daniel. I would have to do something with all those visible wires (some sort of protection around thw wires so you don't see them from the road, and they can't access them).
That is awesome. I need to check my deed if I can put a gate up. I know I cannot put a fence out front per the deed but the culvert on each side of my property will keep the majority of the people honest. My wife feels the same way. Just another layer of security since we put our lives out there on the interwebs. great video and I know the brand I will choose thanks to you if I do get to get one.
Sure looks very nice and wonderful to have an auto opener/closer. Great you can do these things yourself! Saved a bunch on service call. Me, I’m glad to have others for service.. too much for me. DJ. Is very fortunate! “Fairly simple”, says you!?? Mr Ghost would have me calling for him. Baffled me when you pulled it out from the box! DJ is fortunate to have you! Question...will someone be able to steal the solar panel, esp on a public road?? DJ .. hope you give him a big kiss later! You lucky gal!!
Love your channel bub. I have a new homestead channel. We are also from Oklahoma. I also want to thank for your service as a state trooper. I hope my family gets to meet yours one day. I pray you're blessed.
Neat. Security is at the top of any list where privacy is important.
I really like how your gatemaker built the A.
Love hearing the birds in the background
Great addition to Arms Family Homestead congratulations
That gate looks awsome! Whoever designed it should get 95% of the credit!! You make everything look so easy too. Man of many talents. Well done!
You are one smart man to be able to do all the different things that have to be done around your house!
Daniel I have a ghost system. Do yourself a favor and use a deep cycle marine battery. It will save you some frustration later. Those little batteries work ok for a while but I had to switch to a bigger one works much better now.

That's the 1st thing I noticed is some one can just pull the pin and swing the gate right open. I would definitely fix that
That was my thought also.
I was just going to mention that! I recommend the of use bolts with Nylock Nuts!
I would agree
Good Evening to Arms Family Homestead and all others too.
Good evening Wykeisha Craft❤

That gate looks nice. I'm glad to see you have a little safety between your family and any unwanteds that may want to venture down your drive!
Love the gate and the "A" is so beautiful.
The gate looks great!

Mr. Daniel, I am so grateful that God has blessed you and your family with all you have. Thank you for posting. Hugs from Canada. :)
Great idea! You are fortunate that you can do so much yourself. My husband is like you. By the way, your birds are so happy!🐦
Your timing on this project could not have come at a better time! Thanks, Daniel
Looks great!!! You are a jack of all trades!!
That’s a flash gate Daniel. Well done the A is a nice touch
All Glory to the King of Kings! God bless you. I have kikos because of finding you on the youtube a few years ago
The gate looks great! Whoever fabricated it sure did a great job
I think the only thing I would have done differently would have been to mount the solar panel up on top of the frame where it would be more difficult for someone to unscrew and abscond with.
Good point, Duck Landes !!
Man Bobby and JR at South Fork would have loved that gate.
Great job Daniel! Cool gate..love the "A!" Everyone needs privacy, especially folks with over half a million RUclips followers!! lol
Love your family! Great videos & family oriented content. Also thankful that you mention your Lord & Savior often..love that! We proudly wear our AFH t-shirts!!
Yeah, the "A" is C.O.O.L. !!

Awesome gate and what a great opening system. Very cool. Partial to that A, note my last name. Lol
Your Dad taught you the importance of self sufficiency as my Dad did. You do things that most people have to hire to be done. I LOVE LOVE your channel. Keep on living the dream !!! I'm envious !!
Great security.God bless you and your family today and always.
The gate looks amazing.
Very nice gate.👍
She's a smart wife.👍.
Love love love. ❤️ The letter A looks sharp. Happy wife happy life 😂
It looks great nice job !

This is definitely on our list of future upgrades on our property. Right now our kids are our “automatic gate openers” 😂
same

Looks fantastic !
You are very gifted beyond your understanding. God is so good !!!!
I was wondering how this turned out. Looks fantastic and worth every penny for piece of mind. Congrats Daniel and fam!
Looks Great Daniel.
Keeping an honest person honest 🤝
👍✌️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸✌️👍
Nice setup, sharp looking gate! 👍🏼🇱🇷

He better put your shoulder panel on top of that post up there or somebody's going to steal it
Love the gates! Whoever made then did an awesome job with the A!
So they do sell conduit Lube you could use which makes it it really easy to run wire through conduit just a heads up for next time Home Depot Lowe's or Menards sell in the electrical aisle it's clear it's biodegradable it's awesome
Awesome!!!! Looks great. Glad you got it figured out. Bet Mrs. Arm's is very happy.
Nice job, it looks very nice. I wonder if you should mount the solar panel up a little higher out of reach and maybe mount a fake camera up there as well.

Excellent job getting all that stuff together to get the gate to work congratulations
For those of you who may be color blind, do not try wiring this up at home 😂
I really enjoy watching your videos 👍
Love that gate opener/closer !! See Daniel, you're smarter than you thought you were !! Clever man !!
Mannnnn I love these videos and getting this notification from arms family home stead
Glad you got your project finished. I know it feels good

The song birds all around your property are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! ♫♪♫♪
That gate is fabulous looking Daniel. 😃
Great looking gate .
Thanks for sharing.
Stay happy, healthy, hydrated and safe.
May God continue to bless you and your family.
That is really great workmanship on the gate. Love the split 'A'. Very sharp sir.
Awesome setup, definitely on my future list of wants for around the property.

Can you open them from the house, for visitors.
Awesome gate! You did a great job Daniel !!!
Love the videos guys.
I really LOVE how they did the letter A !
WOW! That's one Nice-Lookin' Gate! Very attractive!
Great project. Of course the gates are amazing, but the fact that it's solar powered makes it even better!
Love the gate. Absolutely beautiful!
Good job Daniel! It looks great & added security is always a good thing. Then there's the not having to get out to open & close gates in bad weather thingies. You're a good man, Daniel!
Well the string in the tube is the same way we used to retread elastic through waistbands in clothes, still works!! I see.
Daniel you need to put a lock on each gate opener through one of the pens, those are to simple for someone to unclip cut the wires and take your openers. Great job looking good security always important. Thanks. Chris from England.
Ahhhh! The string method. Well, that answered the question of how you were getting the wire through. Good thinking.
I'm a retired Deputy as of July 2020 so today I price a new exmark mower come home to think about it turn on u tube and here you are touting exmark I guess someone's telling me something I think I'm sold nice gate
Thanks for explaining about the string, I was just wondering.
Woo hoo..now that is a doosey of an opener. My daddy's idea of an automatic gate was one of his 4 boys getting out to open the gate.👍😁
Nice Security Gate. Congratulations ! Now You Will Have More Protection Than You Already Have. Stay Safe
Love the gate!! Very classy ❤
How nice looking gate!
Neat.
Nice look gate!!! You didna great job Daniel. I would have to do something with all those visible wires (some sort of protection around thw wires so you don't see them from the road, and they can't access them).
