Incredible video, I know zero about putting nails into wood and then expecting that wood to stay where I left it, your work is immense, for a guy that lives in a remote location in Scotland where we build houses in brick and concrete block with concrete floors mostly this is a superb insight into how alternative construction methods are being utilised to produce a beautiful home.
Great video as always, you really do a beautiful job at documenting the processes and thoughts. Moreover it’s impressive to see the craftsmanship and precision at which you guys work. And something I highly appreciate is to see these longer videos with good progress. Excited to see the next part! Keep going : )

I would like to start by saying I love your videos and love even more the fact you and your team not only do things right, you actually do things a lot better. I learn things and I have been a carpenter for 35 years. I have also been a Superintendent for large commercial jobs for 30 years including project management and quality control manager on government jobs. I tell you my credentials in construction because I have noticed you compact your stone in the slab which is an extra measurement but not necessary. Stone, specifically. 57 stone and most of your smaller stone, have a 98% compaction on placement making it not necessary to compact it. That process does flatten the stone making it a very flat base but you can save yourself that extra step. Thank you for your videos and a bigger thank you for doing things the right way and paying attention to things that most other contractors don’t care about. I subscribe to your channel and watch almost every day. I ho-e y’all and and your families all faired the recent hurricane and you are doing well.
As an ex-painter decorator (by trade) I have never seen a builder pick up a paint brush unless it was to put primer on an exposed bit of wood! 😂 good work 👍
These videos are INCREDIBLE, and a real education on how you Americans build homes. I'm in the UK, and timber- or stick-frame homes are VERY rare here-they're 99% brick/block, or reinforced concrete. But it's fascinating to watch how quickly homes in the US and Canada go up, with much more work for carpenters. I've worked on lots of RC frame buildings by erecting formwork, but this looks FAR more fulfilling 🙏🏽🔥💪🏽📐🔨
🦋Love this channel. So nice to see a company doing work and hiring subcontractors that pays so much attention to detail and quality. Keep up the good work and thank you for all the work it takes putting these videos together. I watched another channel or somebody built a house with a steep roof in the metal roofing and it appears that they don’t know about snow breaks so I will have them look at this episode.
We truly enjoy all videos !! I was in Commercial Construction for 30 years. The foundation is one of the few things I disagree with you on. It costs nothing to bring up rebar from the footing to the block wall. It’s a pain because sometimes the rebar lands where the edge of or center of the block hits. Lay it out better or chip the block and bend the rebar over to the open cell. I don’t like a slick finish on top of the footing. I believe in a raked finish. I agree , It is easier to pop a line and faster to lay the block. The roughness of a raked finish bonds the mortar to the foundation. A slick finish will never give you the lateral strength that a raked finish does.
This was great! Would you ever consider building one of these projects in Romania? I am in the process of buying a plot of land, and to be honest, I would simply love a house like this.
Hi my wife and I are looking for a lot in the blue ridge mountains now. Can you give me a rough estimate of what it cost to build a similar home as this one. I know materials are fluctuating right now, thats why I say a rough estimate.Thank you and really enjoy your channel you guys do a great job.

Had a lovely weekend relaxing with a walk at the beach and playing in the shallow water with my little toddler! Felt a little sore after the workouts last week but felt very energised 💕
Wow. 2 Things, I will always envy some of the vistas you guys have over there in the US. What a view. Also, this is honestly, one of the most interesting videos I have ever seen. 2 hours long, yet I never felt bored. All the right bits of information for things I have never understood about building houses, as well as in depth knowledge on why you chose specific materials. Thank you so much for this! Can't wait for your next movie on building houses!
This video was so entertaining! I’m usually skipping through to get to the “good parts”, but I’m watching this straight through. Thanks for the video!! You guys are awesome… “That’s one way to do it!”
You guys did an Amazing job. Striving to be as skilled and crafty. Also awesome attitudes and cohesiveness between crew. Good help is priceless
My old man was a Builder/Developer. These videos make me nostalgic for simpler times.
Well that’s one way to do it……
Great video! Long but informative and interesting to see how another crew does things. You guys have a great chemistry that’s hard to beat!
NOW THAT'S DEFINITELY ONE WAY TO DO IT 😎😎 ABSOLUTELY LOVED WATCHING THE ENTIRE PROCESS. THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS. IT WAS A PLEASURE WATCHING YOU ALL WORK AND ENJOY EACH OTHER'S CAMARADERIE. ❤️
We’ve purchased land in Bryson City - I can only hope our place looks as beautiful as this one. Love your work!
A small tip when I was a sprayer over in Scotland and England when I was younger we used to carry a small tip with Vasoline or you might call it petroleum jelly then we would put a small amount around the eyes and the bits you might get overspray and then it comes off no problem whatsoever and you guys have the best airless units they’re are .peace and love from Scotland 👍💪🥃🏴
This video took me through my whole Diaylis treatment thank you thank you so much you all give me so much entertainment in my last months. Best quote “ I don’t think you can say that “ lol
This was a wonderful video. 2 hours!? Worth watching every minute. You all were amazing to watch. Nothing is more satisfying than watching people do what they know how to do. From the dirt to the metal top was (for the most part) one gang. AAA
Why did you all order trusses and not make them?

What a sense of satisfaction to watch a house being built from scratch to finish.
Someone's 'vacation home' is my dream first home. Ahhhh the world we live in is fabulous isn't it 😄
Yo m
It sure is. Thank God not everyone is not bound by others’ limitations.
Vacation home...That would be my home! This house is gorgeous. I could easily live there full time. The views are amazing. I would be sitting on the covered patio sipping a big cup of coffee every morning.
"we had a good time building the house" - COME ON!!! Y'all ALWAYS have a good time!!! THAT is what it'slike to work with a bunch of guys like yours!!!! Color me jealous!! LOVED THE VIDEO.
Just fabulous. Loved every minute of this. So much fun to watch.
Great video as always, you really do a beautiful job at documenting the processes and thoughts. Moreover it’s impressive to see the craftsmanship and precision at which you guys work. And something I highly appreciate is to see these longer videos with good progress. Excited to see the next part! Keep going : )
WOW I was so enthralled i forgot i was watching a video and now its 6.35am Mon morning in Ippy Aussie and I'm too awake to go back to sleep. That was a bloody bewdy my li'l Aussie fam. Keep 'em coming guys !!! I take it the purchase has now been finalised and all payments received, so you were able to post this final chapter. Thankyou. You did an awesome job. 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👍👌✌️👏✝️🇺🇸
I’m absolutely locked in to this build, nothing is going to stop me from start to finish
Absolutely fantastic, the build quality and the professional workmanship, some of it is similar to UK methods and some is totally new to me.
I'm now a binge watching addict and I've subscribed, picking up ideas all the time.
You have a great relationship with each other and the lad who has managed to remove a few fingers is an inspiration to watch,I assume he argued with a power saw and lost,I've seen it happen more than once.
Anyway, really good interesting content, please keep it coming 🙂 👍
I'm definitely staying tuned! This was beautiful to watch all the way. Great job!!
You guys are super amazing, I have watched so many videos for the past 3 years and yours for some reason are the best in all aspects!!!!
It is sad to see contractors that have been in the domains for decades and do not offer good quality and great work finishing.
Keep up the great work and the team spirit!!!
Thanks for the feedback, Expect more video very soon, send a directiy message on telegram I have something for you
For the drain knock-out. I've run a screw through it before knocking it out. Makes it easier to hold onto so it does not go down.
New to the channel, and I'm loving it. You guys are great.
Great vid. Watched in its entirety. A note for the guy that said "we survived thousands of years" without sunscreen. Does he realize that people also survived for thousands of years without that tool suspender and all the tools he has in it? The speed square alone... my god.
my thoughts as well, its not really a great argument. he is basically neglecting all modern medicine with that statement
G’day and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 I really enjoy watching your building blogs it’s great to see that you all get along so well and I think humour is terrific. Your buildings are built very well and you take a lot of pride in what you do, some of the products that you use I have never seen before and it’s fantastic what you have to build with and lastly you explain very well in why you are doing things in certain ways. I have subscribed and look forward to more builds take care kind regards John Kinnane
Was lowkey hoping for this exact video! Was one of my favorite places you built cause it was so unique
Awesome thanks Jacob!
Your team is amazing. I really admire your work.

What a great video. Loved the build from start to finish. And some great custom out of the ordinary things. Love it. 👍
This process was awesome to watch and you have a great crew. Absolutely loved it!
I really enjoyed watching this all come together
...and MAN... would I ever be blessed to have this exact house built EXACTLY by your Team
Great video, Iam carpenter of 45 years, enjoy your videos
Love the content, it would be cool to see you do a series on your subcontractors going more into depth what they’re doing at each site, electricians, hvac, etc
Would love to see a follow up on this video from the owner with her decorating and Zen planning. She seems talented.
❤🙏 accept Jesus Christ and you will be happy because God Jesus Christ is the only Holy and Savior🙏There is only one God and only Holy One the name is Jesus Christ mighty and Peace in the world Love and Save your soul💙
So cool to watch such dedication to such a wonderful project - great job, if I win the lottery I’d hire you guys 🤙🏻
Nice Work Men, Reminds me of Working with my Uncle Arnold gene Griffey
back in the 1980's I'm glad I left Construction to go into the Coal Mines & then to Long Haul Trucking, After 30 years of Trucking now retired and trying to remodel my house and building a detached garage I know why I left building, Ya'll definitely make a hard job look simple, That just shows the Love for the Job.
I wouldn’t mind making this my permanent home. Nice job.
First time I watched you guys and got addicted to watched you guys I live in Pennsylvania
Cheers from North Carolina!
Their wages would make it too expensive by Romanian standards.
Is anybody watching this so he can build a house himself 😂
Me
Watching just for the entertainment. Love these guys ❤❤
Yup
Entertainment for me
I am
Hi my wife and I are looking for a lot in the blue ridge mountains now. Can you give me a rough estimate of what it cost to build a similar home as this one. I know materials are fluctuating right now, thats why I say a rough estimate.Thank you and really enjoy your channel you guys do a great job.
$1,000,000
@@johnlocke_1 depends where i guess. This house is simple and fast
@@johnlocke_1 10000000000000
One of the best, most informative, and feel good channels on youtube... or on the internet period. The pride you all take in your work is inspiring. Excellent content!
Attention to detail, that's one of the most important features of any great contractor! Amazing job guys!
ads every 4 minutes is brutal...
You gotta pay for this free knowledge somehow. Be grateful
S***, I gotta add. That was six minutes long.
I can't blame you there
RUclips premium is a wonderful thing
Idk why ppl still pay for Spotify and apple music when yt music is 10x better has more music than both and you get yt premium thrown in. Thank me later lol
@@andypacmanperezyour saying that bc u don’t have Spotify, and you don’t even need to pay for Spotify.
Edit: Spotify literally has millions of songs, way more than RUclips, as well as more features
I love watching the many phases of planning, measuring and building of this house. Graet advice and education from all the men (, builders, specialists, carpenters, plumbers) included as well. This topic is interesting as well as informative. Thank you !!! Your TEAM is Absolutely Fabulous. Doesn't hurt to watch handsome intelligent , strong muscular Men At Work.
