"What are they smoking?!" Well, funny you should mention that; I remember one drizzly, autumnal, Sunday evening back in the early 1990's. A friend of mine and I popped round to Buster's house (my friend had something to drop off there as he did a few odd jobs for him) and he had a couple of other mates with him and we spent about an hour sitting around, drinking tea and smoking puff. It all seemed a bit surreal at the time, but it's something I'll always remember. Nice bloke he was and surprisingly, softly spoken.
1981 forming two lines with Dm's ,oxblood leather and Can Can into each other mad fun time. Cans of Special Brew (bru) necked and black and blue the next day. In bed before midnight or go home weekends.
Bad Manners once played at the Palace in Hollywood in the late 80’s/early 90’s. At some point during the show, Buster brought out a surfboard and threw it over the crowd in the pit. He then proceeded to climb on it and attempted to stand on it. I vaguely recall him not being on it very long.
The "dude in the bumblebee dress" is named Buster Bloodvessel (possibly a stage name!) and he and the rest of Bad Manners helped keep me entertained through the early 80's.
