No school disco was complete without a good stomp to some Bad Manners. Met Buster on a ferry going to France in the late 90’s. Proper genuine and friendly bloke.
I was the merch salesman for Bad Manners on a tour of the States in 89. Also my old group opened for Bad Manners a few times! Buster is a fantastic bloke.
Bloody brilliant 👏, Margate 79, 62 now but skin is a way of like 👍, keep safe, too old for the special brew nowadays but always the tunes, keep you're braces up, God bless
Proving music can be fun,a bit bonkers but actually quite brilliant. Behind the comic performance is a great voice and addictive sounds. Up the Buster!!! Great bloke, great band.
What I remember from my childhood is a scary looking big bloke having a go at being a pop star. What I see when I watch it now is a bloke who's a truly great singer.
Living in the USA can suck sometimes, here is the case for me, never heard of this band until today. I would have seen them anywhere they came close. Such a Huge Madness fan, how could I have missed Bad Manners!
They are truly epic, and still on the road, my friend. Us limeys love them. Buster is a fine person with a huge stage presence obvs. Ska and TwoTone always makes us smile - you too?
I left England in 84 for Australia took all my Madness Bad Manners The Specials & Selector vinyl with me !! Have tickets to Bad Manners playing in Melbourne in October 👍 Love 2 tone 😀
The 80/90s were fkn awesome in the UK mate. I bought my '68 Roadrunner in 1984 when I was 22 and still own it today. The music was mind blowing for me back then, that's why im back here in Aug '23 to remember it.
I love Dublin been there a few times. The last time I was there I got absolutely pi***d at the Foggy Dew with a bunch of guys from Spain. I live in Boston so I know loads of Irishmen!
I had thought he died 🤔 So that's good news if he is still going. I saw them in concert in the West of Ireland back then, although scarcely 100 people turned up ✌️
My niece in her early 20's from France and he Belgian boyfriend were visiting us in Canada and as I came down for breakfast one morning they were playing a song on a phone. They said if the music was too weird for me they would shut it off. It was "Too Much Pressure" by the Selector. What I was listening too when I was there age. The point is is that young people have through the internet virtually unlimited access to decades of popular music and since today's pop music sucks balls it's little surprise that they look to the past for decent music.
I went to see this guy with a mate of mine when I was just eleven years old. I remember we were shocked because he stripped down to his blue underpants, probably because he was sweating so much, and he continued to dance in his underpants and boots.
@lauraswann5543 could you please explain what you mean by being offered a cup of tea with cream? If you are alluding to a 'cream tea' it is not what you think it is. It's an ordinary cup of tea served with scones, jam and cream. The cream does not go in the tea.

Saw Bad Manners in 1985 at a scooter run & boy did Busta make them scooters look small when he rode them!! They stopped mid-gig to announce Barry mcguigine's win in the boxing at Donnington scooter run.
dougie is still going , i was one of the few people to have actually stayed at his hotel and i did get a full English with added steak and kidney pie for breakfast
Saw him play in a club in Kilkenny around '01 or '02. He was wearing shorts and a really colourful Hawaiian type shirt. The sweat was practically flowing off the stage 😅.
Ended up backstage with the whole band back in about 1993 Colchester hippodrome ,went to light a spliff and only had matches ,,,buster darted out of the room ,came back a minute or so later saying never light a match in front of him again ,,,he’s allergic too the sulphur in matches
Behind closed doors this reminds me of the time that Prince Phillip was edged in a race during the Kentish Town out-stakes festival. I was only 7 at the time, but these things happen. Good luck to all involved

I hung out with Buster after a gig at an Oxford college in the 80s. Lovely bloke. He brought a new dimension to the concept of sweating.

Bad Manners and Buster Blood Vessel without them the late 70s early 80s music in the UK would have been boring. Loved Buster doing the Can Can

Play back at its best.....
😂 90% of the bands did it back then you can tell they did it when someone doesn't have to squeeze their balls to sing today.

No wonder he sweats a lot. That's a lot of energy he puts into that
They're not playing live but at least they put energy and emotion into the performers. When some bands lip sync they looks bored to death
