I'd Say oppurtunists, infiltrators and smelling a chance to loot over causes & outbreak of chaos can undermine genuine real protests.. not just US but looking though protests tactics of Hong Kong and Myanmar over these past months/year. the ones i can be approve of is Sit ins, assemblies (protest over an embassy, a restaurant without disruption), Vigils (when outrage over the deaths of victims of shootings, schools, malls,etc), Organized Marches (it was a big effort somebody must prepare to bring volunteer medics, supply & merch like water and stacks and trash bags, Person & crew who leads & negotiates to march beforehand without road traffics, ask assistance if it's similar to parades, Guides to other marchers without going over the place, Advertizers & local journalists who would make an article or vid about it.). Yet what i Don't like is the Cases of Opportunists (people who smell for using protests as distraction to the dismay of who tried to call out against or for a cause EX: protesting over the treatment of orcas & dolphins on seaworld? why the F we are burning coliseums!? and loot the nearest best buy store?), Infiltrators (far right, trolls and corrupt/undercover police who tried to pin the blame violence to the organizers)

I’ve lived in the same place over 30 years. My neighborhood has changed and gone downhill. I’m retired now, but in the few years before I did thieves broke into my home 4 times! They always came in through the windows, even after I put up burglar bars.
I’m planning on building a retirement home and moving to a better area. I still have concerns knowing crime happens just about everywhere these days. I want to install residential security doors and hopefully AP-25 or AP-50 windows and not install burglar bars.
What city is this. And how did they get through the bars? What was the time frame between the burglaries? Did you have a home security system? Were you home during any of the attacks? Are you aware if they attacked you on foot or did they have a car? Was heavy/ large items taken? I have an extreme passion for home security. I want to start my own company one day

How did they get through the bars?
@@extendedp1 Bars are anchored into a wall, typically it's a masonry wall and the anchors are just in block or stucco. It's not all that hard to pry them off weakly inset anchors.

Will riot glass burn / melt in an attack?
We have tested these products with torches and although they will scorch and turn black in the attack area, they are not flammable and resist melting for a prolonged period.

If I install this on a residential property in los Angeles, how hard is it to remove when I want to replace windows. I assume there's a space between the window glass and your product. Are there any issues with condensation in that space? I have a huge window covering an entire wall. Are there size limitations re your product?

I am a Sercurity guard and I have a big problem that maybe you can help me with. My client hired someone to install the impact resistant window film. The man didn’t cut it to fit all the way to the edge. And in some cases didn’t even cut it straight. There are bubbles all over the windows impeding our vision. The worst part is that when you put the lights on when it gets dark you can’t see out the windows. You only get a reflection of yourself when inside the gate house. Yet the people outside can see everything going on from outside the gate house. The man said today that we would have to keep the lights off permanently. They installed the film inside

I would like to have a transparent roof on my expedition camper. how is the insulating ability of that glass and how much condensation will it produce. should you make a double glass with this material as the outerglass and if so which combination would be the best for the purpose

How resistant is AP 25 against a powerful shotgun? And is it necessary for it to be combined with privacy film? Or would AP 25 handle both privacy and durability at the same time?

Even ballistic hlass doesnt standup to 1oz slugs. Ap25 wont fare any better.

Riot Glass is not film, but rather a formidable glazing shield that cannot be breached with standard burglary tools. Bollards should be installed in front of the windows to prevent vehicle attacks as you mention, which is becoming increasingly popular as an added layer of protection.
I'd like to see the different effects in different climates. does the characteristics change when the springs months of drastic weather change of hot to cold. does it stand up as good in the cold as it does hot or vice versa?

@@RiotGlass Yeah, that pretty much answered my question, thanks. Really amazing product. I wonder if it can be combined with glass as kind of an insulated pane to protect it from flame attacks because it withstands impacts and cold temperatures well but looked like it melted somewhat easily because it looks like a form of plastic. maybe shrink the thickness a bit and sandwich between two tempered panes or even layer them, 5 layers total. Only problem is that gets expensive and it sounds like 1 or 2 steps away from being bulletproof at that point.

Blow toch would get through this glass like nothing because it plastic you go around the edges of the glass then use a hammer to bypass it

Can you show how it is made? I know that bulletproof glass is layered glass and plastic? Who says that someone couldn't use a sharp glass cutter to score and punch out the window?
Good idea for a future video. Glass cutters can damage the outer layer, but the multi-layer make ups would make that attempt futile.
Who's likely to be carrying that around in riot? The goal isn't to design something impenetrable because that would be expensive and impractical. You design what is going to stop the most common types of damage.
IN THE EVENT OF A FIRE AND YOUNHAVE THIS AP25 ON YOUR WINDOWS AND A WINDOW EVACUATION IS THE ONLY WAY OR YOU GET BBQ'D, WHAT IS THE SOLUTION ?
In commercial buildings our products do not interfere with egress, as operable windows and doors are still operable with panic hardware from the inside. We always recommend checking with local fire authorities to be sure.
OPEN the window. If and when you exit a window do you do it by first smashing the glass or by OPENING it up with your hands.
You can still operate the window as normal after you install their products.
If firemen need to get to you and theres a fire, unless you are unconscious Im sure a window would have at least been opened by then for you to get out or for them to get through.
Closing the door to the room you would be in and putting a towel under the door helps to not let the fire travel into the room.
How does it compare to Hurricane Glass?
Hurricane glass is strong but breaks upon impact. Riot Glass AP series does not break so does not need to be replaced immediately after an attack. In a nutshell: Both will help prevent forced entry crimes, but one cracks and the other does not.

Can this be purchased by the consumer and installed DIY? I am aware it may void the warranty, I am just looking for serious security. I have a vacation, soon to be retirement home under construction that will have European designed French rear double doors for the locking system, this home will not be in the US, it will be south of the border. I want to be able to install myself as I am sure this is not available to purchase there.

Well what if you're trapped in the home in a fire how do you get out?
You should have a window that opens. Are you going to smash a window in a bedroom and jump out? I’m pretty sure in order to be considered a “bedroom” there has to be at least two points of entry. A door, and a window that can be opened to climb out.
Otherwise I guess you don’t get out.
