this is impressive for what it does by itself as a film and not an actual glass replacement. imagine putting this film on a good bullet resistant glass, that would be interesting to see the effects it has.

It wouldnt change much. "Bullet proof glass" is basically this with more layers and a plastic core.

Wouldn't change or improve anything, bulletproof glass is already a higher safety standard than what's shown in video.

Bruhh they didnt even try to break it...

they did break it, you saw it shatter. it's covered with film that keeps the glass in place and prevents it from moving, which keeps it closed.

well, we demonstrated that is the burgler hits the window like he is trying to kill an insect your glass wont shatter

...it shatters no problem the thing is it doesnt break, its also not impossible to get through, its just ment to make it significantly harder. Doors, locks and bulletproof glass can only ever slow people down. If it was made by humans it can be broken by humans.

Surely it wouldn't stop a truck, would it?
I suppose crashing a car into it would be illegal and those three million dollars would be spoils of the crime and thus confiscated.

It barly stops a hammer. Theres a reason they use a bat. Its basically tape, ya know the 3M makes most of their money from. Its a thin piece of more bendable plastic glued to the glass. When the glass shatters, its just stuck to the glue and stays inplace. To get through it all you need to do is puncture the plastic, which can easily be done with the claw side, or use a screw driver to act like a chisel. Once you make that innital hole you're through. The 3m add was great marketing because for one there was only 500 canadian in it, it had security, was only up for 1 day and was covered by multiple camera crews and then there was the "football/soccor" rule, you could only kick it, no tools, no hands, no chemicals and heres the real kicker....you had to break through the glass just shattering it like show here wouldnt have been enough to claim the real 3mil (canadian) which would have been presented as a check not cash.

Don't break the glass, break what holds the glass :)

Anywhere that matters uses metal. If you want to get through bullet proof glass, get a nail gun (high pressure the better) and a sludge hammer and a thin chisel.

This only works for storefronts. Houses in Canada are made of wood, all you need is a mallet and you are in. Not to mention you can always just break the lock instead of the glass. Great product, but for commercial properties and for those states that get hurricanes and tornados. Not really for Canadian homes.

negative on that ghostrider. Its rare anyone is going through a wall. People need to reinforce there locks and strikers though

It's not going to stop a determined attacker, it's just a deference. They're not breaking down your wall when the neighbors are far easier to rob

...shows how little you know about bullet proof glass. Btw he did, the glass shattered but didnt break. This is basically bullet proof glass lite. The "real" stuff is this film, plus either hardened tempered glass or plastic layered, with a plastic core, and some contain no actual glass at all and just are plexiglass and this film layered. The layers are whag add the bullet proofing the saftey film holds the thing together while the shattered glass absorbes the energy from the impact. The more layers the better the protection, but that makes them incredibly thick. Thats while the us presidents limos windows dont roll down for 1 they're 2.5inches thick (slightly shorted then a credit card is wide) and weight hundreds of lbs.
