@@RickReasonnz I agree, it’s a dumb argument. It’s not Robs fault at all. If anything they should be happy he was replaced with a solid bassist. Just some dumb chatter I’ve seen online.
But Rob and Kirk are the most chill dudes in the rock world. I’m a big Cliff Burton fan and I love that Rob tries to incorporate Cliff-isms in his playing. He likes to pay tribute to the legend and that makes me like him even more. 👍

I really love how they stop dead at "It's the last time you will," and leave the delay tails to fill the space. It sounds so ominous and final, and the way the whole show works to fit that vibe is absolutely incredible. As an audio guy, those kinds of details really tickle my ears.
They've done that since the 80s..yes it's amazing..lol
Live Shit: Binge & Purge featured the same thing. I'm so glad they still pay attention to details like that.

Man, they sound really tight and i'm loving their guitar tone.
Their low E sounds a bit flat, but yeah I agree their playing is pretty tight, their tone is a little sharper, and James's voice sounds good! Some vibrato too.
@@smncutler Out of tune, Lars still is lose as a porn stars anus, no ride cymbal makes for zero textural variance as usual, if this is what you consider them playing tight then they must usually suck worse than people say.

Lars really took the pandemic to practice. Or the black album reissue re-inspired him. He’s even more animated. Fucking killing it the whole band is so tight!

As I said in my other comment, I love Lars' playing and usually defend him from haters, but there were a couple pretty sloppy fills in this song.

My first Metallica live show here in Sacramento, was the best time of my life.
The sole time I saw them live was in Israel when I was 17 and super hyped. This was the best time of my life until I reached 20.

This is such a great performance of this track. Also, I love seeing James' sense of humor shine through - "shaking off" the solo with a big grin before digging back into rhythm.

For real though. I didn't even know they were playing in Sac and I'm 30 mins away. I wish I would have known because I forsure would have been at that show. I've seen a couple of bands I like but not my fav, which is Metallica. They know how to play a damn good concert. Maybe one day I'll get to see them.

My family drove all the way from indiana to sacramento for this show, it was a birthday present from my parents for my 18th birthday, got to see them friday night and saturday night! It was my very first concert. Stood at the guard rail for hours just to be right upfront to see them. Even caught one of the custom made picks made for that venue thrown out into the crowd. It was the greatest experience I have ever had in my life! And the best birthday present ever! Thank you mom and dad and thank you Metallica! ROCK ON!!
Rob's crabwalk, Kirk's expressions, Lars' energy and James' everything make the live performances even better.
