One of the leverages you have when you own the rights to everything you do, AND you aren’t massive pricks. People can criticize their choices all they want, these guys always remember what it’s like to be a fan.
True, I think it was a mistake to have put that it is the only band that does that at the moment, it is better said that it is one of the few bands that continue doing it. let's hope they don't stop doing it, it is something that I personally appreciate a lot about metallica.

Back in '85 he started playing those Jackson RR models. I was at the 1985 Sacramento, CA show and James looks over and says, "Where does this guy get all these new guitars?" ....of course back then that was a big deal because all of us played guitar too. And the solos were something we all looks forward to.
some says the black album is the beginning of the end of the oldschool metallica. well as for me its good that their song on every album has evolved to something new which is a sign of progress. I like what slayer has done as well but to have evry song with the same sound is a little bit boring at times, so metallica having different genres in their whole career combined can really bring you to another dimension. this only proves metallicas greatness from kill them all to 72 seasons. its been a roller coaster ride listening to u guys.
Metallica carried me through my depression, and my jarring transition into an atheist. They shaped my musical influence, and even though I play Melodic Death Metal/Black Metal, the Metallica influence is still well and strong in my music. I wish I could meet the band so that I could thank them for everything they’ve done for me.

When they first recruited Rob I was a little skeptical, not to criticize his bass playing abilities, been a S.T. Fan for almost 30 years and a Metallica fan even longer, just didn’t seem like he fit at first but now it seems it was meant to be, I Love Rob and it was really cool seeing his son playing with S.T., he looks just like Rob and talented as well, I know Rob’s proud of him, my first show was Metallica at Lakewood Amphitheater in Atlanta in the early 90’s and Jason killed it, I’d love to see them with Rob now, I hope I get the chance one day.
Go find a show as soon as you can they are killing it right now, I was at this show and it was one of the best I've seen, and I've seen Metallica four other times over the past almost 4 decades
I saw them in 2017 with rob and when he played Anesthesia, when I tell you his tone permeates your skull and chest, i mean it! Him playing with a big video of cliff in the back was pretty emotional

They look like they’ve been really practising lately which they really need to do at their age. they’ve played some sloppy shows the last decade or so, but they seem really tight and Re-energized, James’s voice sounds good too!
James voice is actually still really good, just can't push it too much since he's older now. Spit out the Bone for example, he damn near sounds like the Justice and Black Album era.

Amazing performance! The boys have been making justice to the tunes lately. The overall sound seems to have improved a lot, Rob'ss bass is sounding great, Kirk is more precise, and Lars has brought back that sound, fat, powerful and crystal clean, with loud bass drum. This was my FIRST EVER Metallica concert. Wife and I attended. They played 4 nights. This was the final night, and I'm glad I picked this night. They played the ENTIRE Black album in reverse order, 12 to1. The Black album got me into Metallica
This is massive. The tempo is perfectly in the pocket and it sounds great. Really happy to see them playing live again in 2021. That being said, was super grateful for all of the live Metallica Mondays. Gave me something to look forward to.

It's chilling this song is about Hetfield's mom passed away from cancer, because both of james's parents were strict christian scientists no medicines or doctors were allowed by that religion so after all that God did fail I guess!
Seriously though, he's got that gruff sound back in his voice, it's amazing. He still goes into a clean tone sometimes, but not nearly as much as he used to. Definitely the best he's sounded in probably 10+ years imo.
i first accentuated to this band in 1981, seen them easily 20 times (mostly in the pit..).... im a cliff guy and really never cared for Jason even though he was a good bassist....when Robert joined them, he made Metallica complete once again

This is massive. The tempo is perfectly in the pocket and it sounds great. Really happy to see them playing live again in 2021. That being said, was super grateful for all of the live Metallica Mondays. Gave me something to look forward to.

Well by the looks of it they aren’t extending the hardwired tour any further after the shows in November so they’ll probably tour again when they have a new album

Great bass line for me to learn - so powerful and seems relatively easy, guitars sound so tight here, really outstanding performance!

It's chilling this song is about Hetfield's mom passed away from cancer, because both of james's parents were strict christian scientists no medicines or doctors were allowed by that religion so after all that God did fail I guess!

shit, they sound great! James' singing is the best it's been for a long time. Kirk is nailing it. Even Lars is doing way better
Seriously though, he's got that gruff sound back in his voice, it's amazing. He still goes into a clean tone sometimes, but not nearly as much as he used to. Definitely the best he's sounded in probably 10+ years imo.
i first accentuated to this band in 1981, seen them easily 20 times (mostly in the pit..).... im a cliff guy and really never cared for Jason even though he was a good bassist....when Robert joined them, he made Metallica complete once again
