It's not that no he doesn't belong in any hall of Fame... He fell in total love with a super hot chick that took every penny and cheated that's where he got his lyrics... Look at blind faith... They just got back together after warrant did an Asian tour and Bobby Brown got jealous because Jani could have any woman he could ever want but he loved her go do some research he would go months on tour without sex.. While she was in the states playing with . Nikki six.. axle rose.. and pretty much anyone else that has money... She broke his heart bad.. listen close to the song.. Bitter pill. That's when he finally realized that it was over and he had to swallow the bitter pill. It was downhill from there. He was a real man that loved a woman that didn't Love him back.. As men I'm sure some of us have been there...RIP Jani died broke and alone in a cheap hotel. So sad
@@bigedkc I know Bobbie tells us a different story. She said Jani cheated on her...? I watched Ex-Wives of Rock, she dated a man child and another dude Damon.Both cheated on her & she stayed!? One was 19! She did say she was on coke and meth @ the time. I believe that she was in love with Tommy Lee, personally. She downsides Jani alot until his death. I don't know about the rest? But she dated half of L.A. My brother partied with Jani at Strip clubs years ago. He passed away @ 47 just like Jani, in a cheap hotel after a chick took everything ! They both died @the same age, same way a few years apart. Jani went 1st. I never heard my brother say he cheated (Jani) on Bobbie. I know she is now sober. Their main didn't last very long, but they had a daughter. Jani went on to remarry. I would like to know the real story...she's not friends with Athena or Blue anymore.

This song just makes me want to rip my heart out, it's just so hauntingly beautiful. Every time I hear his sweet voice and the passion he sings with, I still can't believe he is gone. I feel so lucky to have seen them a couple times, because the world truly did lose someone amazing when he left us. We will never, ever forget you Jani Lane. RIP and sing to us from Heaven!

He really was a great singer,songwriter and performer.Saw Warrant open for Motley Crue at Dean dome(Raleigh)in' 89.He was really energetic actually carried the guitar player on his shoulders during one of their songs.Good times👍

Jani Lane, your music impacted us all in the late 80's and it continues to do so. Heaven isn't too far away and that's where you are right now. The ONE above wanted you with HIM to sing to HIM and that's where you are singing about faith.

I remember seeing Warrant down at Camp Lejeune back in 1989 when I was in the Marine Corps they opened up for Britney Fox. What a show! Jani Lane was such high energy running through the crowd singing. What a loss of such a great singer and human being.
So sad that most of the world will only think of "Cherry Pie" then the hear Warrant, Janie Lane, was an amazing , writer, singer and musician... so many still live, so sad that you had to leave us so soon... I miss you Janie, RIP.

I don't fit in in today's world. I will always be stuck in the 80s when music was talent and girls were not snobs like today's. I MISS GIRLS WITH BIG HAIR AND STONED WASHED JEANS RIPPED AND TIGHT Rip JANI. Greatest singer and writer of all time. His music saves me every day from giving up my battle with addiction and custody of my daughter. I was so blessed to grow up in the 80s every weekend at hair band concerts

Jani had a beautiful voice & his songwriting was 2nd to none. I'm 59 yrs old, & when there's a concert featuring all the great bands of my era come to town, you'll see me there, still rockin' after all this time!

What an awesome and exciting time this was for music. The bands rocked like no other, had platinum-selling records, hit singles, sold-out arena tours, they were all over the radio and MTV, etc. Nowadays, who's broken up, who died, who's carrying on with scab members, albums are out-of-print, radio and MTV won't touch them anymore, and the list goes on and on. It's sad to see what's become of the bands that provided the soundtrack of my youth. The age of digital downloading only dragged things down further. The glory days of this kind of music have been relegated to the history books, and what's replaced them as the flavor-of-the-month is beyond pathetic. It's downright depressing to think about sometimes.
Uh, no, illegal downloading didn't take this genre from the spotlight. The music industry did, not to mention the consumers. Times change, nothing's gonna be hot shit forever. One minute it was hair metal, the next it was grunge, then punk rock, then nu-metal...Things keep moving and it's a good thing they do.
Your right....we will always sites like you tube that will preserve our youth sound tracks...today's doesn't touch the music that we listened to.

this band amazing. im 15 and im the only one from my age and town that listens to this genre. I love this genre and the bands but by far warrant is my favorite. when I got my first guitar I learned this song first. I looked up to warrant and still do! I will become famous just like them and will keep this genre going for another century+. so all thoughs who love true heavy metal-ROCK ON!!!!

I saw Warrant live in New Orleans!!! 17 years ago it was on of the best days in life for more than one reason. I got to shake the hand of the lead singer and the blew ratt and Tesla away!!! Not even close!!!

Born in '59 I got to experience the awesome 70's in my youth and incredible 80's in my early adulthood. Was an amazing time for music. Many wonderful memories! Wish I could go back again!!!

I just had a Warrant morning this morning and had forgotten all their great hits! I was in Jr. High and High school with the bassist of this band. My girlfriends went crazy when he would bring tickets to school to see his band playing at the Troubadour etc. Guess I needed to reconnect with this era and give these guys some play time on my list of lists!

I seen Warrant open for Motley Crue Dr. Feelgood tour, they played all the Dirty Rotten stuff and everyone was standing for Warrant...they were just as big as Motley!! I was 14 years old, my older brother brought me with all his friends and girlfriends. Rock music was at the peak of popularity at this time. I've been a huge fan of Jani Lane and Warrant since DRFSR.

Music like this needs to make a comeback. Of course it will unfortunately never be the 80's again, but I can't believe there is no talent out there in this world that cannot make music like this. My guess is the record companies won't put this kind of music out because it is not "popular" according to them. Little do they know that if a good band was introduced and played good music, they would be swimming in the money.

It makes me so truly sad that such an amazing songwriter (particularly non-singles on the albums) is best known for writing Cherry Pie. And we all know how he felt about that.

Sadistic Pink "they understood censorship better than most bands" give me a BREAK! Of course I know "Ode to Tipper Gore" I was there... Motley Crue, Guns n Roses... the HARD CORE bands "understood censorship" Warrant was a "goody two shoes" teeny bop group. When my children (my son Shayne to be exact) rode their bikes with training wheels, pretending to be on a motor-cycle I cheered him on, telling him how cool he was. That is Warrant compared to Megadeth, Slayer, Crue, Sabbath, Ozzy, etc. when it comes to Tipper Gore's "ratings".
I LOVE Warrant! Always have... but fact is fact. they were SOFT core.... and the "ode to tipper gore" song is kinda childish and funny. Hell, they were 22ish!!!!! Chill out!!!!!

I was listening to this cassette headed to Disney World on a high school band trip after it came out. Ended up meeting the girl that I started dating and married on that trip. Every time I hear these songs, they take me back to those great memories! Thanks Jani!!
