This video was filmed at Water Mania water park in Kissimmee, Florida ( Closed & demolished in 2005) I was a lifeguard on the wave pool and I'm in the video. Some of the lifeguards partied with the band after the show. This was the fun days of my youth. RIP Jani Lane.
Such a beautiful soul he was and I'm so glad that he gifted us with his music so even though yes he is gone, we get to spend as much time with him as we want to on RUclips it's not the same as alive but we still get to celebrate his music and his life
I saw them at Big Surf water park in Tempe AZ I think the same year. They were the opening act for Tesla. I was squished in the front row the next day my friends and I went and bought their cassette no cds back then.
Does anyone ever get really sad that Jani is gone? And does anyone ever get chills hearing him on stage knowing the wonderful soul that he is? And I know some people will say we'll just celebrate his life but sometimes you get really really sad that he is gone
I remember when he died it really hit me hard, i felt depressed for quite a while. I had just seen him on "That Metal Show" like a couple of weeks before he died. He was definitely one of my favorite 80s singers.
Met Jani and the band in early 90s at a small club meet and greet and they were so awesome. We all just hung out and talked. I get a little chocked up watching this stuff. People who didn't live this era won't understand but its cool to see the younger generation keeping this alive.
I am now approaching my 60th birthday and still yearn for the days when bands like warrant would work so hard on the circuits to try and make it whereas today you only need to post on social media and your a star for 15 minutes, the younger generation will probably slag me off for saying it was better back in the day, but it truly was
So true I was born in the late 70's and I'm so glad I got to live the 80's... The music was so much better back then, at least you could understand what was being said, Rock on 80's!!!!!!!!!
WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS THE BEST VIDEO EVER !!! THIS IS WHAT THE 80'S WAS LIKE PEOPLE !!!! OH MY GOD... DO YOU SEE IT ...? DO YOU SEE THE WATER EVERYWHERE? THE WILD FREE ATTITUDE? THE AIR AT NIGHT, THE PRETTY GIRLS SO SWEET AND INNOCENT,,, THOSE WERE THE DAYS OH MY I CAN'T STOP CRYING ... I MISS IT ...MUCH LOVE YOU ALL OF YOU ....
5years ago you wrote this and sadly more true as time goes by! Take me back please! I still hope one day we will get back to these type times and days. When the world was so alive and more on the same page. Hope it all returns....
Thank you Lord🙏 for allowing me to live during that time. Saw them more once but the show at Hammerjacks Baltimore MD was the best. Ya had to be there.🤘
Jani at his peak was definitely amongst the best. Few singers interacted with and bonded with the crowd as he did. He used to tour main floor on a bouncers shoulders singing with the people. The best. RIP.
finalapproach2ify yeah I remember on the 1991 cherry pie tour at deer creek Noblesville in. he came down of stage the band was playing some rock groove then lights went out he pops up on the sound board area and starts playing his acoustic guitar got a picture of your house the heaven song I'm like 20 yrs old and three rows from the sound board in awww still to this day I remember it like yesterday he was a special front man that made you feel part of the band he made you feel like he was normal not like I'm the rock star you paid me already I'll do 1 he 30min. and I'm f2f one it was almost a 2hour set for 15 bucks wish I still had the ticket stub cause jani new the jobs were tight back then we were in a war desert storm so he made sure ticket prices were cheap three bands for 15 bucks firehouse trixter warrant it was awsome rip jani
Yeah I saw them play in a small venue maybe 5000 people. Jani said he was going out to shake everybody s hand. He said Bon Jovi wouldn’t do this lol. I was able to shake his hand amongst the crowd great guy
Watching this reminds me of how deeply MTV impacted our lives…I remember seeing these guys with the great Jamie St. James at the Galaxy and walking out on the floor, looking up and seeing Steven Sweet behind the kit-I swear to god it was no different than seeing Jimmy Page or Ozzy…these dudes were that iconic-that said, Jani-RIP eternal m’man
The dude sounded soooo good live...far too often live performances don't come close to the studio recording. Jani sincerely kicked ass on stage - his voice maintained the "sounds just like the studio version", if not better. And such an entertaining frontman as well.
This video can't never ever be deleted from RUclips, firstly because of the amazing live performance from Jani and Warrant boys, which have really touched deeply my heart and secondly because of the comments that are so emotional and gets me touched by all the nostalgic vibe and stories people carry for their lives. In 1989 I was an 1 year old baby and only God knows how much I love the 80's, at the same time I am very proud of being born in this decade, I feel sad for having arrived late in the party. May God bless Jani forever for his talent and gives him a good rest.
This is my song a mother of three boys, I had to care for my mother most of my life, but I had three sons and I had a ex husband Gary who I still love and care about too this day!❤
Cherry Pie is not a power ballad so they don't compare. Now Heaven and I Saw Red compared to this, that's a toughie to choose which is better. I could see myself flipping my choice back and forth. I would give this song just a hair's edge on the other 2 I think.
cherry pie was Jani Lanes biggest failure...he actually said it himself.that he regretted writing that song...he actually wrote it in one night because the producer for the record that released as cherry pie did not want the lead single to be a power ballad and forced Jani to write cherry pie...
I like Cherry Pie. Is a good commercial song. Jani didn't hate the song. He was in a very bad time in 2004 during that interview. Cherry Pie is a song like Pour Some Sugar On Me, We Will Rock You, Love In An Elevator, Bad Medicine...I like these songs, so i like Cherry Pie ( And many other Warrant' songs like The Bitter Pill, Big Talk, Down Boys, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Sometimes She Cries, etc)
I get sad every time I see one of their live shows on here! Such a loss when Jani left us. Jani seems so full of life and loving life on this concert video. Hard to grasp that he's gone. Saw them live at the Clearfield county fair years ago in Pennsylvania. Such a great sounding live show. He always seemed like he was so in touch with the audience and appreciated that we were there. He went through the crowd there high fiving everyone just like he does in this video! He shook mine and my young sons hand who loves 80s metal! My son was in absolute awe and I felt like I touched rock and roll greatness. Jani, thank you for that impressive show and all Warrants great music! Hopefully we will meet you again someday, God bless you!
Musician here. Jani is my favorite vocalist of all time. The power, the timing, the melody, the smoothness and the range. Best I ever heard. Steve from Journey is close, but his voice is a little too nasal, and his power takes little longer to build.
Its a shame, people say like, Beatles, Elvis, ...that was 1 artist in that decade. 80's are different. We had all the best designing shaping the future of rock and sound! Not just one band, one guy. But 100's of bands and artist making real change....and to those 22 dislikes...Fuck'em! 80's will run wild FOREVER!
He's always going to be the legend he never thought he was we all loved you even the haters they were jealous your we're the best rip rock on with the angels see ya in Heaven we miss you John
Jani Lane was also amazing at making himself available before and after the shows to meet and hang out with fans. Many of the hair bands in that era were put up on pedestals and were above hanging out with the crowd. Not Jani. I think he really appreciated the moment and the fans that paid to see him.
First time hearing the replacement and there really is no comparison and that is a good thing this guy is doing his own thing with some classic tunes of Warrant. I presume there are most or some of the original members but really what difference does any of this make. All of us who grew up listening to bands like Warrant Journey Foreigner etc are all old and fat now. My point is nothing stays the same including your favorite bands. How bout just be glad there is enough support to keep your favorite groups performing? Heck some do it just because it's there music and they love playing whether you or anyone else shows up!
I listen to all kinds of music, everything from fuckin' Laura Nyro to The Stooges, and all places in between. I'll say this, for awhile, the kind of music i grew up on which were bands like Warrant, i walked away from. RealTalk, maybe because it was the time of the Seattle music scene, and after awhile i just lost track. Recently, i have been getting back into the greatness of Jani Lane and his ability to capture moments with not only his voice, but how great of a dude he was to his fans. He was one of us!! Everyone I've ever heard talk about him has only said good things, and it's a shame he lost his way, but the music will never die, which means he won't either. Peace to all who Love this great song and band!!! RIP Jani Lane.
One of my favorite band from my generation. I was heartbroken 💔 and saddened 😔 when Jani Lane was found dead. May he be in peace in the afterlife. As the front man for warrant, he was second to none. Great vocals, tempo and harmony. They just complimented each other. They are still touring but you can see that Jani Lane vocals was the main ingredient that gave the band its flavor. I just love this band. Long live warrant!
I saw them live in California and I have to admit that they put on a good show after the concert was over me and my friends meet Jani back stage and he is such a great guy and he loves his fans
I only got to see them once at a music festival and Jani Lane was so drunk he could barley stand up, let alone sing. I wish I could have seen them in their prime. I'm so sorry for all the stuff he had to go through that led to his addictions and final demise. They were a great band and Jani was great singer and songwriter. RIP
Julito Gelbolingo his songs help me, I'm glad he wrote songs and sang from the heart. His lyrics are powerful. it makes a young girl like me not to put up with crap I might go through. so thank you Jani for being great
Well this song I listen to like so many times in a week this my athem I feel this song is my life in a nutshell. Miss you RiP. Thank God we have these memories of you and your band we miss you so much. The best of times the 80 s never another good time ever for this fuckin fantastic music long live warrant songs.
Thank you so much for posting...... Thank you Warrant for being the Anthem of my youth. It was the best!!!!!! Jani Lives ON....through these videos and my speakers driving down the road. God Bless you Jani Lane!
Gonna grab the keys to that Delorean… punch in 1989 and I’m never coming back 🤟
Can I buy 3 tickets to ride back?
Wait for me!! I have the beer!!

Who else played during that time?
That's so awesome

I feel it every time I listen to his music. It really fucked with me how he died. Such an amazing singer taken away too soon.
Resting n power.

Warrant Songs and Whole Albums are "Haunting Me", Currently!💔 I miss you, all 💎🪞👗👠📿💄🌹🌉❤️
They can't write music like this anymore
Jani Lane, one of the greatest rock vocalists!
Ai Arthena Amen voice of an angel. !?!
Great singer and a songwriter.

Wasn't even born then but I miss em' too!
I like how he just accepts the hat from this random guy throwing it, and even says thanks. Times were better before
So sweet, right?

Isn’t that the truth?
If Axl would be on stage he would cancel the tour.

I have never been to a rock concert at a waterpark & until now I had no idea what I was missing. Sign me up!!!
With that voice he always sounded great. Even live. Very few could pull that off. RIP Jani, thanks for the memories.
So true. Even in the later years he had a good voice.
No studio work needed with this man’s voice! RIP
They just don’t make music like this anymore. What a time to be young the 80s were!
I wish I could have experienced it. Alas, I was born in August of 1989, so it was way too late.
The dude sounded soooo good live...far too often live performances don't come close to the studio recording. Jani sincerely kicked ass on stage - his voice maintained the "sounds just like the studio version", if not better. And such an entertaining frontman as well.
What a Beautiful Soul Jani was, it's so tragic that he left us so soon
