Really enjoy this song but very, very strange now that its 20 years old, seeing people call it 'real country' when 20 years ago, this was considered pop-country and a major departure from the remaining 'real deal' country purists like Strait, Jackson, etc. Again, super great song, brings back a wave of great memories but weeeeeeeeeeeeird to see what the passage of time does to peoples sentiments.
One of the many major differences between this song and today's "country" is that it's actually telling a story. It's not just talking about being down by the river with a tan-legged juliet in cut-off daisy dukes, sitting on a truck tailgate, and drinking moonshine like literally almost every other song that comes out these days does. You actually can get invested in songs like these and the characters in them, you can feel emotions like the excitement of "you were sittin' in the porch swing as I pulled up the driveway, my ole heart was racin' as ya climbed inside." Or the true, enduring pure love in "You're still with me, we've made some memories. After all these years there's one thing I've found. Some say good love, well it's like a fine wine. It keeps gettin' better as the days go by." Sure makes me miss old songs like these, today's stuff can't even begin to compare with good old tunes like this if you ask me.
Blake Stanley Exactly.I don't dislike the way country today sounds so much as I dislike how so many of the songs are similar and have no meaning. They're all songs you'd play at a bonfire not songs you'd listen to on a long drive or when you're thinking hard about something.
***** that's a good point, I kind of feel the same way. There's nothing wrong with a good bonfire song, but when that gets to be all you hear, it gets disappointing. I remember a time when I could count on turning on the radio and being able to hear a good country song for just about any occasion or mood I was in, I just can't really find that so much with today's stuff.
Great tune. I never really liked country untill i worked at a furniture factory in Bloomfield, Ct and my supervisor always had modern country playing circa 1998. Lesro
Creole Williams lived down a dirt road He made homemade wine like nobody I know I dropped by one Friday night and said, "Can you help me, Creole?" I got a little girl waitin' on me and I wanna treat her right He said, "I got what you need, son" As we sat down in the cellar He reached through the cobwebs As he turned on the light and said "There might be a little dust on the bottle But don't let it fool ya about what's inside There might be a little dust on the bottle It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time" You were sittin' in the porch swing as I pulled up the driveway My ole heart was racing as you climbed inside You slid over real close and we drove down to the lake road And watched the sun fade in that big red sky I reached under the front seat and said "Now here's something special" It's just been waiting for a night like tonight "There might be a little dust on the bottle But don't let it fool ya about what's inside There might be a little dust on the bottle It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time" You're still with me and we've made some memories After all these years there's one thing I've found Some say good love, well, it's like a fine wine It keeps getting better as the days go by "There might be a little dust on the bottle But don't let it fool ya about what's inside There might be a little dust on the bottle It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time" "There might be a little dust on the bottle But don't let it fool you about what's inside There might be a little dust on the bottle It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time Don't let it fool you"

My sister that passed away she loved the song she loves the song and I love it now too not just because she did. I just love it man you’re awesome. You look like Elvis Presley dude you’re all that song.
Pure fun. Good times. Young love. Dancing the night away. Kissing your girl under the stars. Holding hands on a front porch swing. Sweet old couples. This song makes me think of all of those things, with a hell of a hook, too. 90s perfection.

This takes me back to a kid being barefoot and spending summers at my great grandmothers. She kept a little radio in her hallway on the same country station and this played often. Was mid 90s and I can still remember the smell of her backyard

90's country music was the same style as the original country of the 1950's with all new songs. Allan Jackson, Patty Loveless, George Strait, Highway 101, all great stuff. Today's country ain't got no soul.
Thank you for sharing this awesome song with us! It's so darn good to sing along n enjoying the awesome day!! You all here in these comments have a beautiful day!! God bless you and me and out families and friends... AMEN 🤗🙏💖♥️💖❤️💖♥️🤍🤍🕯️🌟💡💘😍😘🥰
Great song. Seen him in concert with Terri Clarke back in the 90s. Loved hearing this song come on back in my bar hopping days. It always got me and my friends on the dance floor
This song started my passion for wine and mead making came out when i was a kid but ole wine maker kept popping up in my mind though the years . Named one of my blackberry wine after mr. williams
Still one of my favorite country music artists. His latest CD was spectacular. Keep Em coming DLM! I saw him open up for George Strait back in 1995 before his second CD was released. he put on a pretty good show. Been a fan since.
This song makes me chuckle now. it came out when i was 4 or 5, but in deep east Texas it played well though my elementary years on the radio. my mom for the most part kept Christian music on in the car, but sometimes we would hear main stream songs. Around the second grade i heard this song in my friends parents car radio. when i went home i was singing it. My mom convinced me it was " dust on the bible" and it was that the singer was excited to share the word of god with his friend( who just happened to be a girl). XD XD it actually still sort of works i guess lol.

Actually he is correct. This video was posted in 2009 however the song came out in the 90's. In my experience it is always best to double check your facts before slinging insults at others. Besides , 90s were the best time for country music in my opinion.
Hey, ...Those cowboy hats they wear dont look like the real thing! Every photo I ever saw of real cowboys had them mostly wearing huge floppy hats pushed up in front from riding in the wind all the time, or they wore one like William S. Hart, who was a real working Texas cowboy before gettin into the movies in around 1911 ! These modern style hats were born in some eastern dudes mind I think!
acerb45666555 Hey there....Cowboy hats back in the day were produced just for the main purpose of protecting cowboys and cowgirls from the sun and weather when they are outside riding or doing outside chores. Modern cowboy hats are more simply just for style just like you stated.

My Goodness, David Lee Murphy is far far away from a "one hit wonder"! Are you even commenting in the right thread? Do you even know who Murphy is, or were you just making a random comment in the middle of this thread?
He's got at least 3 songs that are awesome and one of those even better than this, listen to more stuff and refine your tastes and you might learn something
Country sure ain't what it used to be... I'll listen to this any day of the week and twice on Sundays over some of the pop-country garbage I hear on the radio today.
I know what you mean but some of it sounds good ... Just search Crash and Burn ( Thomas Rhett ) and Kick up the dust ( Luke Bryan ) those are some pretty good "pop" Country song
+Brandon Van That's because country music back then used to talk about the human experience, good times, people living a good life, or bad times, how people deal with that. Country music nowadays talks about hot chicks, drinking, and partying. Like every other type of music, a lot of the generic stuff is just appealing to the most base desires of people. Not that it's totally like that, there are still some people like Zac Brown Band or Brad Paisley who are much more like more classical country music, but that seems fewer and further between nowadays.
this song came out a year before I was born (1995) but i listen to it because I grew up on David Lee Murphy, George Strait, Alabama, Tim McGraw, Alan Jackson ect. this era of music never gets old :)
Classic country is something shared through generations. I listened songs like this growing up and these days I help teach my nephew how to build an engine while we listen to some of my old country cds and the few cassettes I have left. Gotta love old cars with cassette players in
I was born in '87, but thank God my parents did me a favor and raised me on decent music like this! I still have my old cassette of this that I recorded from the radio!
I haven't heard this song since my teens (back in the 90s) but I ABSOLUTELY love this song and hearing it after all this time, it's still an AMAZING song by an AMAZING artist. (I feel so old though)

True Brother. But today's "Country" is pretty fucking good too. If you don't believe me just look up the artists of today.

In 2023

No one gives a fuck what year you’re listening to this.
If anyone does not like this what the this is when good country is good
Great tune. I never really liked country untill i worked at a furniture factory in Bloomfield, Ct and my supervisor always had modern country playing circa 1998. Lesro
I Miss this music so much...
Hello
Please bring this music back
Hello how are you doing today..?😊
Creole Williams lived down a dirt road
He made homemade wine like nobody I know
I dropped by one Friday night and said, "Can you help me, Creole?"
I got a little girl waitin' on me and I wanna treat her right
He said, "I got what you need, son"
As we sat down in the cellar
He reached through the cobwebs
As he turned on the light and said
"There might be a little dust on the bottle
But don't let it fool ya about what's inside
There might be a little dust on the bottle
It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time"
You were sittin' in the porch swing as I pulled up the driveway
My ole heart was racing as you climbed inside
You slid over real close and we drove down to the lake road
And watched the sun fade in that big red sky
I reached under the front seat and said
"Now here's something special"
It's just been waiting for a night like tonight
"There might be a little dust on the bottle
But don't let it fool ya about what's inside
There might be a little dust on the bottle
It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time"
You're still with me and we've made some memories
After all these years there's one thing I've found
Some say good love, well, it's like a fine wine
It keeps getting better as the days go by
"There might be a little dust on the bottle
But don't let it fool ya about what's inside
There might be a little dust on the bottle
It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time"
"There might be a little dust on the bottle
But don't let it fool you about what's inside
There might be a little dust on the bottle
It's one of those things that gets sweeter with time
Don't let it fool you"
Hey how are you doing?😊
When I was younger, I heard... A little dust on the bible. This song hits different now.
Hey how are you doing today…?
Pretty sure I’m the only Korean knowing and still listening to this song alone in South Korea especially in this 2019. Can’t stop loving this classic country number. Respect!
Much respect
Is Kim Jong Un dead yet?
Dude, let Kim run your stuff and country will rule the world!
I listening with you
Their lyrics speak our hearts out.
He's got Beautiful Eyes oh la la

This is a certified sick jam
My sister that passed away she loved the song she loves the song and I love it now too not just because she did. I just love it man you’re awesome. You look like Elvis Presley dude you’re all that song.
Pure fun. Good times. Young love. Dancing the night away. Kissing your girl under the stars. Holding hands on a front porch swing. Sweet old couples.
This song makes me think of all of those things, with a hell of a hook, too. 90s perfection.
OK SO HE'S REALLY GOOD LOOKING! Love his voice and the song!! Memories. Hugs always.

This takes me back to a kid being barefoot and spending summers at my great grandmothers. She kept a little radio in her hallway on the same country station and this played often. Was mid 90s and I can still remember the smell of her backyard
Sure do miss those days
U were blessed 🙏🏽
That's the Good Stuff man!
Good music❤❤❤❤😂😂😂
Yep!!! Back when life was simple.
Love it. Those precious last years before Country Music announced its terminal illness. Good times.
Dude was ahead of his time with the bro country
My best friend passed away 8 years ago. He was 17.. this was one of his favorite songs. I’ll listen to this the rest of my life.
I’m sorry to hear that.
Sorry for your loss
This song could be considered the definition of nastalgia
Cade Eaton approved 😂❤ I had to come listen to this song from the book.
This is mine and my wife’s song. The day we got married we said the the first song they play on the radio will be our song. We been married 16 years now. Plenty of ups and downs. I know she will never see this but I just want you to know you are my world.
I love u
Still Listening 2020, Born in '93', got this is a Playlist of Mine on Here #MyCountrySong .
I will Always Pick #90sCountryMusic Over the crap they play these day
90's country music was the same style as the original country of the 1950's with all new songs. Allan Jackson, Patty Loveless, George Strait, Highway 101, all great stuff. Today's country ain't got no soul.
@@thelakeman5207 I agree I hate this new stuff and my parents taught me this music and can’t stop loving it
'93 crew!

Great song. Seen him in concert with Terri Clarke back in the 90s. Loved hearing this song come on back in my bar hopping days. It always got me and my friends on the dance floor

This song started my passion for wine and mead making came out when i was a kid but ole wine maker kept popping up in my mind though the years . Named one of my blackberry wine after mr. williams
Hey how are you doing today?
I heard this song on my local country radio station today for the first time in probably 25 years and holy smokes I miss these days so much 😭
Me too
Spirit River 1995 My friends made me call the radio station over and over requesting this song. This one is for them.
Hey how are you doing today?
XD XD
it actually still sort of works i guess lol.
David lee cleaning dusty bottle music like me mood. ❤❤❤❤❤
Saw him perform this in concert last year.... still as amazing as 20 years ago!
😃😃I'm very pls to know I'm not the only one that loves😍 the song but when last did you play it

Hello Christina. How are you doing?
90's country is the best. Kind of sad how things changed.
I think 80s country is better. Alabama, nuff said. I try to avoid any music after 2004, unless it is Nu Metal or Rap.
its uninspired and shite jsut like you
Yea old country too.
+james glenn that's not nice
+David kopecky Saturday and Sunday babe sit
That intro reminded me of "Busted - Year 3000" :P
Hello 👋 how are you doing?
00:44 if Elvis Presley and Kevin Bacon had a kid.... he would be this dude. "Elvis Bacon."
😂😂😂
He played in our small town at a bar with his first album and we had a blast to this song and party crowd! About 300 their!! So fun!! Best night ever!
Amazing singer nice memories back home still listening to his song... How are you Patty ?
2016..who misses songs like this
Me
hell yes
i do. music definitely is not what it used to be.
i do
yea I love my heavy metal but I'll never forget my roots being raised on this good music
The 90's were great period for pure country music!
Nice job justifying your years dumbass. This was made in 2009
Actually he is correct. This video was posted in 2009 however the song came out in the 90's. In my experience it is always best to double check your facts before slinging insults at others. Besides , 90s were the best time for country music in my opinion.
I do not believe I am a dumbass. Perhaps looks can be deceiving...HAHAHA. LIkewise Queen Alyssia, 90s country music were soulful.
Reminds me of my dad, he sold bootleg wine and whiskey in SC!! R.I.P Henry G. Johnson, SR. Love ya!!
Brings back home❤️ 90’s country is where it’s at now a days
Thanks for your love and support Are you one of my fans out there if yes you can call or message me on my talk tour number +15595265631 to know it's really me message me on Whatsapp for video call🎸🎶🎼
One of the best songs country ever produced!
2020 crew give me a like.
This song gets sweeter with time.
Damn right. Been listening to this for over 20 years. This type of music needs to make a comeback
Been listening for all my life. love oldie type country. But im also amazed at how many likes you got in 2020 lmao
Reminds me of my long time friend david garcia he liked this song i sure miss him rest in peace with JESUS david my real friend
Just put 5 bottles of ginger honey-wine in the basement - not to be seen until 2030, when I'll be listening to this song as I dust one off & pop the cork, just like I was when I bottled it and put it up.
@@Officer_Sparrow dam right my friend david that passed used to like this song it reminds me of him
I don't like most country western music, but I love this song! Great lyrics, great guitar and great rhythm, and a great looking singer - whew!
😃😃I'm very pls to know I'm not the only one that loves😍 the song but when last did you play it

Kinda funny how that works
Im here now...
I most definitely miss the good stuff! The stuff nowadays just doesn't have the same effect. Even Reba is failing us lately 😪
Hello Bradley
@@beaug6732 ขออนุญาตค่ะ
Still a great song, cousin.
*one hit wonders back then have more quality than many artists’ nowadays whole careers*
Jesus Christ Saves *Jesus Christ Saves*
Man you could not have said it any better. Amen brother. 🤙
Hahaha no kidding man...
David Lee Murphy is Elvis Presley's long-lost son
Yes. Amazing singers nice memories back home still listening to his song... How are you FrFaerie ?
Country sure ain't what it used to be... I'll listen to this any day of the week and twice on Sundays over some of the pop-country garbage I hear on the radio today.
agreed
agreed
+Brandon Van i hear ya bro im only 23 and even i know this new crap is trash
I listened to them too growing up but was born in 2001 😂
Kalei Rainwater lmao, I listend to this, and I was born in 1999
Classic country is something shared through generations. I listened songs like this growing up and these days I help teach my nephew how to build an engine while we listen to some of my old country cds and the few cassettes I have left. Gotta love old cars with cassette players in
preach it girlfriend!! preach it!!
I was born in '87, but thank God my parents did me a favor and raised me on decent music like this! I still have my old cassette of this that I recorded from the radio!
This song gets sweeter with time! Who else is here in still here in 2021?
🤙🏼
Always bubba
Always
I haven't heard this song since my teens (back in the 90s) but I ABSOLUTELY love this song and hearing it after all this time, it's still an AMAZING song by an AMAZING artist. (I feel so old though)
I'm glad you love this song too. Age is only a number. I'm sure you're not that old lol.
