Health care , Education , Basic facilities are not available in villages and life is stagnant , Very stagnant , that's why people move to big cities where there they have Education , medical facilities , libraries but city life takes your all hours , peace to get these facilities....most people get money by hard work in big cities and all their money goes to rent houses , tax , children's education... ...... First of all understand yourself what kind of person you are, then live in village or city.....i see people in village dream about living in bog cities and people in big cities dream about living in villages where they imagine life is peaceful ( Both create fantasy to get rid of life's problems ).....i lived in big city and village also....have experienced both ( Punjab )

Related to rural life - I live in a village (600 ppl) with school, doctor, pharmacy, two supermarkets,two small stores, bakery, 3 cafes, two friseuers.... ER and police are 10 mins away. My son is 20 mins with bus away from his music highschool and 25 from his regular highschool. I have everything what people in cities have. Even more. In summer every night I sit outside,drink wine and listen to crickets chirping, birds singing in the morning, last few days I watched Saturn on telescope with my son, which I could not do in city due to light pollution. Every now and then deers come in our backyard, especcially now, to eat apples. I would never live in any city. Difference between my and that Belarus village is that we all have a job. People lived in USSR, had nothing, didnt knew for anything better and they were happy. Now they arent. I travelled a lot, newer to Punjab, but I visited New Delhi and I really dont know who the fuck would want to live there. That city is the the most polluted city I have ever seen, trash and shit are everywhere. Not to mention that people there see us europeans as walking wallets. Russians on the other hand are fantastic people, they often offered me with food and votka, me, complete stranger just passing by. As mini polis mentioned, I dont think that Belarus and India can be compared.

@mini polis i think health care , Education facilities should be in villages .....i know little bit about USSR economy and politics but common people who lived under that era know much better and have direct experience ,like you said that USSR was labour based but Indian villages are agriculture based , nearly half of the Indian population earn their livelihood from agriculture and husbandry.....
