Aunt Galya is an amazing woman. Her house is spotlessly clean; she makes her own bread, jam, and more; she takes good care of her animals and has a nice garden; she's always happy, is a wonderful hostess, and can even touch the ground at age 70. Her embroidery is beautiful. She's blessed that her TV isn't working now. Big hugs for her from Seattle.

I'm almost as old as Aunt Galya and find it amazing how different people live. I prefer the simple life like Galya, large gardens, cows, chickens and quiet countryside. My feeble mind can't imagine wanting to live any other way no matter how much wealth I might have. I often wonder what % people in the world would be happy living this way as contrast to flashing lights, noisy highways and pre-processed food containing chemicals I can't pronounce.
it takes a lot of work and discipline. not for everyone for sure. but she’s always in a good mood. not depressed like many city folks. fresh air and exercise
Age is not important I live the same way with my 80y.o. grandma in Bulgaria. I was born in the capital, but after 15 years of partying and travelling I decided I'm bored with that lifeatyle and I miss the village life. I'm working remotely and haven't gotten out of my house for weeks. No need to. I have everything inside my yard.
Thank you for sharing this, reminds me of my wife’s village in Hungary. At the end of the day, it does not matter what country we are from, we are all people. We will find a way to live in harmony once all the greed and lust for power from our leaders is gone.
Aunt Gayla is so self sufficient and active! The embroidery was beautiful. She's an inspiration. Sounds like she has good neighbors and a good son! I'm American and I don't hate the Russian people. My grandma was like her. She had a wood stove which she cooked on for many years, made a garden, had chickens and it was so much fun to visit her!
Are you kidding?!?!?! How can you support these Russian nazis! The war wouldn’t happen if the Russian people stopped it. This guy is just enjoying his freedom while men braver than him bomb their Slavic brothers….how many Ukrainian grandmas have the Russian army killed…know they are made of those Russian people you bless
Good job on how you said what you said. Although I perfectly understand a lot of anger at Russia right now, the messaging needs to be a consistent love for Russia and Ukraine, and each other in general.
Slava, your aunt is such a dear. Please tell her we in the west do not hate them or want to hurt them. I love Russians with all my heart. This war has made me so sad. All my life I've dreamed about visiting Russia. I thought I was close to having a chance. I sponsored three Russian orphans for many years, until they left school. I wish we could fix this problem. I'm so sad about it all. Your friend, Todd
Media specifically main stream corporate news channels as well as state controlled propaganda media are the biggest VILLAINS of these times, creating rift between people. Its happy situation that Aunt don't watch TV.
Hi Todd! So good to know that you had plans visiting Russia. Please come, you will have a chance to really experience our Russian hospitality, warmth and kindness. We are all ppl of this planet, our Earth! Sponsoting orphones is a great deed. It's greatly appreciated!!!

I want Aunt Galya to adopt me. It reminded me of my grandparents from Norway. I grew up in the USA where you work yourself silly just to eat. I can't stop crying as it brings me back to simpler times 😻
Thank you for sharing. I have been to Russia twice on an educational exchange program. I also helped with my law school’s exchange program for professors and students. I learned so much from this experience and all I can say is that I fell in love with the Russian people that I met. I had them in my home and took them with me everywhere. May God bless these people who have suffered so much.

bro...your aunt just won my heart by her practical, genuine, lovely approach towards life which many of us across the globe are forgetting and getting trapped into never ending hate and fighting for an idea of some one else.. love from India
I just discovered your channel. what a wonderful feel good video, it's lovely to see a family enjoying their time together and such love and warmth between you all. Your aunt is adorable, such a kind heart, I loved the scene with her cuddling her kitten. Thank you for bringing us on your journey and an insight into your wonderful family. I am British and I am ashamed and embarrassed as to how Bo Jo has behaved. I wish peace, health and happiness to all Russians, May God protect you and all of Russia and continue to guide Putin. Wow!! Thank you sooo much for your words of kindness and wisdom! There are many good people worldwide who understand what is really going on in the world. Many western politicians whether in Europe or North America are not true servants of their people. They are serving interests of their masters who are greedy and evil. There are many good people in the world who don't like what their politicians are doing to their own people and also to other countries. We have God on our side and He will help us during difficult times!! May God bless you also and give you good health. May God bless all the good people worldwide who are striving for peace and improvement of relationships with others! Evil will be defeated and done with! We only need patience in the process of difficult times. Sending you warm greetings and best wishes! Cheers 🤓🥂👋
I’m so glad your aunt is still doing well! I am also glad the current world situation is not having much of an effect on her. I’m sorry that people think we hate them here in America...for me, that is so not true! My mother and father were Lithuanian, and only came here after WWII. I feel a connection to you all there and I don’t want innocent people suffering needlessly. I wish this would all end and things return to the way they were before...Everyone is entitled to live in peace! Wonderful video as always! 😊 Take care!
@@RussianPlus I think the main cause of this war was the feeling of mutual hatred ( Russian & Ukrainian ultra nationalism) which was fanned by some internal and external forces of both sides with the connivance of their business partners and military strategists for their political and commercial interests.Media proven to be their strongest weapon. The only way to put an end to this conspired conflict which has been going on for the last decade and a half is by eliminating the negative feeling of mutual hatred & distrust( quite a hard task at this juncture) and the conspirators, war mongers that have fanned it. Without this solution, everything else is a temporary solution with which war can be postphoned or avoided for a while but cannot be ended. The rest we all know that WHEREVER THERE is is OIL, GAS & ENERGY RESOURCES IN THE WORLD THERE IS WAR !!

Thanks for documenting this video for us. I’m Russian raised in United States and I and as so many Americans admire this off the grid self sufficient lifestyle. This is pretty awesome! 🙏🏼

This how my grandmother made bread ! I used to love it when she made bread . I used to sneak in and pinch pieces of dough off the loaf before she put it in the oven I had a few lumps on my head as a child from her wooden spoon ))) Thank you for showing this )👍👍👍 How I miss my grandmother her love and her wisdom.(((
Great video of the country life. Reminds me of what it was like living on my uncles farm during my summer holidays when I was a kid. It also reminded me of the times I was in Russia visiting with my wife's parents. We spent a lot of time in Kursk and at their dacha. I hope to get back there to visit again someday. Amazing country and people who I dearly miss. Keep up the great work love the video's from Canada
I just stumbled on your video and couldn't stop watching it and it's 1am here. Thanks for making this video. You have a wonderful family and an amazing auntie. I wish I could give that lady a hug too. Praying for Russia and Russians. Take care!
This is heaven! Thank you for sharing your life with us. I had no idea what it was like. Please tell those family members who are shy or afraid to share that we love seeing them and thank you! I wish I had this much peace in my own life and family. I live completely alone and with no one so it is nice to see. Thank you.
Ora non sei più solo perché hai condiviso il tuo pensiero . Non conosco le tue abitudini religiose ma, se vorrai pregare, ti unirai a tanti che lo fanno, e, senza conoscersi, si abbracciano idealmente. God bless dall'Italia
These videos are great. The functional gardening perspective, especially, inspires me more than any other gardening channel. Really like seeing the country and rural aspects as well.
Thank you so much for this amazing footage! It proves that "ordinary people" in Russia are good-natured, friendly and generous who know how to master their daily lives. They need not to be feared or hated! Watching aunt Galya reminded me of my childhood days some 55-60 years ago when I spent my holidays in the Styrian countryside. Live was simple, self sustaining and self-sufficient. And I loved every day of it.... Want to add that I liked how you presented the small but beautiful "asides": Flowers, birds and especially CATS! That, too, is a childhood memory.... Thank you for this lively, loving presentation! Looking forward to more stuff like that. Best wishes and stay safe! Greetings from an Austrian living in Bavaria
Beautiful country life. Aunt Galya is a hard working woman and her embroidery is just beautiful. It's good to have a hobby. I would like to visit Aunt Galya too, to see her flower garden and the cats. It was nice you helped with the weeding. It reminds me of the farm my in-laws had, 60 years ago in Germany..Almost the same setting. I am now 81 yrs, living in Australia and also baking my own bread. I wish this war will go away soon. I am really ashamed of the Russian bashing that's going on in the German mainstream media. We people are all the same, Russian, Ukraine, European, Australian etc. We just want to live in peace.
Aunt Galya is such a legend! I love your videos but especially those vlogs when you visit her. Please tell her that her embroidery is beautiful. I'm very envious that you got to taste that bread-it looked so delicious!
I lived in Russia for two years when I was studying a master's program, I stayed mainly in the Moscow area and did not travel much. I would love to see the Russian countryside and visiting some old houses like aunt Galya's it looks lovely.

Aunt Galya reminds me of my Ukrainian Baba’s on both sides! These two cultures are so similar they’re intertwined in every way! I recognized so many Russian words that are similar or exactly the same as Ukrainian words! So sad brothers and fighting brothers!!😢
My favorite part is how she holds and hugs the cat… It examplifies her true personality and that she’s just a lovely person… There’s no doubt in my mind that we are all loving people no matter where we live on this earth… It’s very sad right now that they’re innocent people dieding…Leaving their homes… Being treated awful on their way from one place to the other because of war… This beautiful woman gives us some semblance of peace that we all long for…
I loved your video. Thank you so much. Although Russia seems to be soooo far away from South America, I could feel the warmth and the love you all shared with Aunt Galya. Nice place and beautiful people.
I moved to a rural area 22 years ago and love the peace, quiet, and serenity here. The air is sweet, the water clean, nobody bothers anybody else. I've lived in cities and suburbs and this is far better. I don't farm, I buy all of my food. I want for nothing. It may be harder when you have to do everything yourself like aunt Galya but it's still a much better life than living in a city. Look at how happy she is. Now that's something I can identify with.
Such a beautiful video of all of you together with Aunt Galya in the countryside. Such a warm feeling comes over me whenever I see her and her home with all the homemade food, decor, hand made doilies, bedding and the yard/garden. It takes me back to a time within my youth when things were much simpler. 😌 My greatest hope is to someday visit Russia, thanks to all of your videos I know all the good places to go💃🏻 My prayers are that this current situation comes to an end soon and that all of you maintain good health and well being in the meantime. 🙏
Thank you so much for this video! Aunt Galya is a wonderful Russian woman and reminds me of people I met on several visits there. Village life is how my Slovak grandmother continued to live here in the US. Oh, this makes me miss my Baba!
I am 59, from California, and I miss the simpler times. We always had gardens. She had chickens and a cow milk the cow made her own butter, bread. It was always perfect, some problems exist no matter what happens, because short periods of time we were always family. I miss all the older folks who are no longer here. Are used to date a woman from Moldova and she would tell me stories Just like you showed in your video. We only have a word and family keep your family strong communication lines open and visit as you can. Thank you again for sharing.
I've missed the drevnya videos. My grandma immigrated from Russia and lives in the US but always is remembering her times in the village. Hope to visit one some day. Glad to see Aunt Galya again :)
Your Aunt Galya specializes in something money never buy and no bureaucrat can ever take or give and that is love. To see her beautiful smile and the warmth of love from her eyes when she sees your family is so priceless. I think you should live there and make a living remotely. Allow your Aunt to teach you the old ways of being a true self sufficient Russian.
I was born into this kind of life, living in a small town / Village and we farmed and made and grew most things we consumed. That was almost 65 years ago boy it brings back great memories. I could almost smell and taste the Bread and most of the food you guy's enjoyed. Your Aunt is spot on your neighbours would have surplus of something and you would have something they were short of and you just looked after each other. Thank You all for the memories.
Another masterpiece by Slava. Very nice seeing the family coming together at Aunt Galya in her village again. What a lovely and friendly woman she is, hard working from childhood but not sorrow as she stated in another video. Slava's concluding words are saying it all: Village life in the countryside doesn't change much over decades regardless what is going on the big wide world around ....
What a wonderful video! I felt like we were there visiting! Thank you! Love where she lives! What a beautiful lifestyle! If only more people appreciated what a wonderful life that is! ❤️
Your aunt Galya is really a wonderful woman!. She has so many good qualities and her property with those nice animals and greeneries is just a jewel, as she has everything she needs for living. Her pancakes are so delicious and she also produces a fantastic jam and what about that bread, so crusty! A fairy tale! Moreover this part of Russia is very beautiful. Thank you for sharing this awesome video with us.
Hi there, yes, you are totally right. I agree on every word. Actially Russia has got so many breathtaking places, and wast lands...She is just one of the kind!
My Russian family immigrated through the Port of Galveston Texas. I didn’t even know people came through Texas. My Great- Grandfather worked at the port for a year before he could bring his wife and children. Then they went to Detroit for work for a very short time. Then moved to Los Angeles in the early 1920s. He was a baker 🙂
I did some ancestry research lately and was blown away to find out my Lebanese great great grandmother arrive in 1890s through a port in New Orleans. It’s interesting how different migration routes brought them to different ports.
I live near the port of Galveston. Up until 1900, it was considered the Wall Street of the South. Huge commerce hub. Now it's almost all tourist-oriented, which all goes away when a hurricane hits, or when the economy dries up.
Your show has a wonderful, humanizing quality to it! Your show provides a welcome contrast to media bombardment and propaganda of a different sort and a harsh tone. As a side note, I'm from Maine and I grow a lot of dill. I love it and my wife and boys love it too. :) We're not all against dill...
Thanks for sharing. Yes, it's understandable why in the US media enforce such propaganda about Russia. "Society is evolving, but people are still trying to make sense of today's reality with the use of outdated but familiar concepts, manipulations and strategies. We are always in captivity to concepts and the images they give birth to, regardless of whether these concepts are suitable for us or not. A person is liberated only when he himself gives birth to new concepts and moves forward, developing his concepts to comprehend today's world." - Fedor Shkrudnev (article "Meaning" July 4, 2022)
Thanks, Slava for this fascinating, uplifting and heartwarming video. Your aunt is such an industrious woman with great values and common sense. Unfortunately, people like her are not so prevalent in our world today. Many people could learn so much from her just by observing her everyday lifestyle. By the way, I love dill. I have a recipe that a friend from Germany gave me for cooking a pork tenderloin. It uses fresh dill, onions, paprika and white wine. It is so delicious 😋. It is great to have some spaezle as a side dish with it. Dill pickles and dill relish are also quite tasty. Sanctions seem to hurt the common people more than any government or their leaders. All I can do is pray for understanding and peace for all people everywhere. I realize that is an "impossible dream" but we must always strive for a world where everyone can live their lives in peace. Take care and have a safe, healthy and happy month of July. 👍🤗❤️🙏🌎

i always dreamed of visiting the russian hinterland. now i'm afraid i can bury my dreams until further notice. nevertheless: what an incredibly beautiful country and what incredibly great people. Galyas modesty reminds me of my own grandmother, who was also living on the countryside and made everything herself. thanks for this video!
My mom passed a few years back and recently I had a memory of her making fresh bread. So I have been making my own every week instead of getting it from the store. It just taste so much better and I'm not even a big bread person. I miss a lot of the older meals my family had growing up that seems less and less folks cook. One thing I'm glad was when I was little mom taught me how to cook too so I would never have to depend on some one else to cook for me (or starve while single)...lol
This really reminds me of when I go back to Italy to visit my grandparents in the countryside. Very peaceful. Thank you for your videos. I really enjoy them!
Thanks Slava for such an amazing video with a scent of nostalgia (as for me). Dear viewers, you can be sure that all the Russian villages, babushkas, chickens, tablecloth, rooms, and kittens look the same everywhere in Russia! I watched the video and every detail is so well-known by me. And really appreciate Slava's humor in videos 🤣👏👏👏
Not really. The house is brick and has running water (heater?). It is not that common and not even that convenient in more distant villages, esp for elderly living without much support. The household is kinda messy and uncared for at he same time though. I d say MOST babushkas live in more minimal conditions but go more hardcore in their garden. It’s individual to this family. Main thing they are happy
I grew up in the country on a farm & you are self sufficient, because you have your own garden, you have chickens, cows & you can gather wild mushrooms, asparagus, elederberries & chokecherries. You can make jam with the berries. Bake your own bread. The only thing we bought at the grocery store was can soup, pasta, ice cream & drinks. I grew up in a state (Minnesota) that had the best soil. As an adult I live in a state (Wisconsin )where you can grow a garden but the vegs & fruit are not as big or taste as good. If you live like this you work a lot. I own the farm with my brothers my parents left in a trust for us so we could have family reunions & vacations there. We just had a family reunion in June. It is nice for the younger generation to see & spend time on a farm. My brothers have gardens at the farm. We rent the land out .Which pays the taxes.🇺🇸🦋🍓🍅🥕🥔🌶🍄🍉🌽🍎🍒🍗🥓🍳🌹🌼 Pamela
I want to remind you how great your content is. You have greater meaning and purpose in your vlogs than most. Even though you may travel to a different country and or location, you are not simply a travel vlogger. Your interviews, your personal stories, your ethnography, and more sets you apart. You are missed. But I understand. And I believe you are continuing to do good things. 👍
Really like how you have oldschool countryside in Russia, can't find that in Croatia anymore, everyone is fleeing from rural areas and I cant recall last time eating domestic food, except eggs and little bit of vegetables, when I get home. Veliki pozdrav za tetu Galya-u :)
I truly enjoyed your video. And frankly Im glad the sanctions arent hurting the Russian people to badly. Your Aunt is amazing. Im 63 years old and I would love to be able to bake my own bread! That bread looked delicious!
I loved this video! Such a simple, self-sustaining life is harder to come by these days in many places. I grew up on a farm out in the country, and miss it a lot. Aunt Galya seems like such a sweet, happy lady. 😊
God Bless Aunt Galya. I thank you for showing how the country life is no different from American or Russian. We are all brothers and sisters in this world.
Beautiful country, beautiful people. I am old also and grew up on a farm and in my old age I have returned to a farm. Rural life and rural self-sufficiency are good. I very much enjoyed your program.
My mother who is 96 and the youngest in her family, had sisters who prepared meals for the people who worked on a farm in the 30s. It was just like your mother described with milkmaids and enormous calorie meals. The flowers are Veronica.
You're blessed with Aunt Galya. Cherish the moment while you can. Big hugs and love to her she's an amazing grandma. Get some nephews for her hehe. Namaste from Nepal 🇳🇵
@RussianPlus Those scenes are the same from villages near Poltava ! Warms my heart to see that people, real people are about hospitality, growing their garden and sharing fond memories with their family. I am glad you didn't use the vernacular name for dill btw ;)

Reminds me of visiting my grandma in rural Mississippi. She lived in a small modest house in a sparsely wooded area. She could cook up a storm...all from scratch.
Not all foreigners hate dill. haha From US here and we love dill. I grow and freeze dill to use on things like potatoes (dill butter). I enjoyed this video and seeing your family and how your aunt lives. I feel there are good and kind people all over the world. It is the leaders and governments as well as wealthier people controlling things that can make things hard. You cannot blame the average person for any of that. Especially when their news or information is manipulated. I am so happy your Aunt is doing OK.
First time watcher & I'm in love. I'm a grandma from East Texas & am thoroughly amazed how much our cultures are so similar.....or at least they were before America went bat-crap crazy. I long for the days where our towns are self-sustaining like we were in the old days. These "sanctions" have done way more to hurt Americans than Russians. At least that's what I'm seeing from channels like yours. Anyway, new subscriber. Thank you so much for sharing. P.S. Could you please let as many Russian people as you can know that most of us Americans know what our overlords are doing & we hold love & respect in our hearts for our Russian brothers & sister, mothers & fathers.
I am from middle of USA..Nebraska. I live like Auntie...grow my own food in gardens, fruits *veggies * herbs..Also raise ducks and chickens..for eggs and meat..I grow barley, oats sunflower for the animals and myself..it is A LOT of work but we eat well..I love the people of Russia! They are a big reason we won both world wars..I believe we all are similar and I am glad for videos..
Your Aunt Galya is living the best life there! Beautiful countryside....if I lived there I would be visiting Aunt Galya every weekend!!! Very enjoyable vlog
I really enjoyed this video. Your Aunt seems like she is such a nice woman. It's too bad we have such terrible things going on in the world. I wish the whole world could live in harmony and enjoy each other's company and share each others way of life Anyway, great video, thanks for sharing.
yes, i agree. most people are good people with kind hearts and good intentions. and then there’s that tiny bunch that messes up things for the rest of us. they don’t give a damn about human lives. unfortunately Russia has a history of its leadership totally abusing the power. One day Russia will be a democracy

I admit, every time, I start to watch one of your videos, I always have to watch it to the end. The videos you make, are always so warm and real, and you make us feel, we're just there with you and your beautiful family. Aunt Galya, is of course a great wonderful active person could be the dream aunt or grandma for everyone. I know some Russians, and have been in Russia several times, and it reminds me about a dacha life... Thank you again for sharing such a great video, and I'm looking forward to watch your next one.
So glad to see that Aunt Galya is doing well. I hope that her son helps her in the garden because that is a lot of hard work. She has her hands full between the animals and making food. Happy that you and your family seem to be doing well too. Best wishes, Kim
I always envy the simple farming life out in the beautiful, green countryside !! Then I remember that it probably involves a lot of hard work, and unfortunately I am lazy, and I need the modern conveniences.
Very nice video. It reminds me of visiting my grandparents farm in north central Wisconsin. The food there was always so much fresher and tastier than what you can buy in the city. Also great to see Vika again. I'm from southern Wisconsin, but I used to go deer hunting in the Minong area where she stayed and I often go hiking in the parks she visited.
Them pancakes are exactly what I had this morning for breakfast here in Abu Dhabi, just an hour ago. They look exactly the same, we call them “خبز بيض" in Arabic, which literally translates to egg bread. We don’t eat them with jam or sour cream though, we just have sugar sprinkled all over them. We usually have them for breakfast on weekends like today or Sunday morning. The Russian and Arab pancakes are definitely different than the American ones in shape and texture etc. The one you had looks exactly the same to the one I’ve had, and you even folded yours in the same way I did, exactly I did three folds, and you did four.
In Bulgaria we cook the pancakes the same way, but we fold them like donner kebaps and hold both ends up eating from one of them. We put jam or honey in them, but they can be eaten with anything really - chocolate, ham with cheese depends on what you want or have.
They're internationally called crepes, but here in Romania, just like Russia, we call them pancakes and eat them with gem or spread them with chocolate and various fruits.
@@eEmm1 Oh I didn't know that's the name for those?! Nice info! In Bulgaria this is actually Palachinka ( Pancake 🥞) which comes from the Latin "placenta"... It appears that originally placenta meant "cake" and later in new Latin the term "placenta uteri" is introduced which means "flat cake of the womb"... Kind of explains the ritual of the birthday cake doesn't it, haha? ;) Turns out the name Palachinka(crepes) comes from the resemblance/association of the jam/jelly and the placenta inside the womb... I see that in Romania you use the word plăcintă for somwthing that wraps around cheese, so it's similar, but maybe you called it like this because your dish looks like a genuine cake! More interestingly the word can be seen in almost all Balkan languages including in the Magyar language(Hungarians), but interristingly it appears that South Eastern Europeans - Bulgarians, Croatians, Serbian, Macedonian, Czech, Slovenian, Slovak all (probably) use the Hungarian word... From what I remember Maximinus Thrax was the first Thracian ruler of the Roman Empire and he had his capital somewhere in Panonia... My guess is that after Thracians took control in their hands they made some language reforms and that they spread the word throughout the Eastern Roman Empire.. From what I see after Romanian language reforms from 19th century you renamed it to clătită, but who knows what you used during Bulgaro-Vlachian union haha... You have a great family and your Aunt Galya is so sweet and hard working! Reminds me of growing up in the countryside in Wisconsin; currant bushes on the farm, strawberries, home cooked meals. Very much like visiting my Grandma and Grandpa's farm. Thanks you for the wonderful journey Slava! P.S., you have reminded me that I have to go weed my currant bushes! 🍓
I want to cry right now. My family is Russian/Eastern European and grew up on a farm in USA. Seeing all the old wood and countryside brings back memories. Lately, I have been seeing a lot of news on how Russian soldiers are washing potatoes in toilets and stuff. Its always the "look at how poor Russia is." Trying to paint Russians as primitive barbarians or something. It's so impersonal. So upsetting really. You look at the floors and roofing and people see poverty. But when you live with this stuff, you see nothing of the sort. Could things be better? No. Could it be more convenient? Of course. Thank you for sharing
I like of what your aunt making your own wheat fresh bread....and your village as i observed is very peaceful..maybe youre not affected the conflict between ukraine and your country..isnt it? Godbless and keepsafe!
I must say as an American. Many of us love dill, especially pickles ( which here is only pickled cucumbers) My mother grew dill and used it often. Of course my ancestors were from Ukraine of German and Russian ethnicity so maybe it's in the blood.
Happy to see you people again, your aunt Galya is a hard working women. Your garden has lots of vegetables and your shish-kebab on the BBQ looks delicious, have a nice stay , wish you all a lot of happiness from a french canadian from northern Canada.
Wow 💥 the Russian countryside is idyllic. Not the picture we are fed in the west 🤔 I may never get to Russia but thanks for taking me there today 😀 Love from New Zealand 🇳🇿🇷🇺 ❤️ 😍 💕 New subby here 👍
I love your channel! Thank you for all your hard work. Please post more of these Russian countryside videos. They are so beautiful! Also, I would love to collect Aunt Galya's recipes! I have tried making rye bread, using a sour dough starter, but it failed. Her bread looked wonderful 😋 Thank you and your beautiful family for these great videos.
Wonderful video story telling Slava @RussianPlus I enjoy it when you show your family life. It shows what kind of a person you really are. You have a nice family, though I am a little worried about Vika - she seems depressed. So, I hope she finds some joy again. I know that unexpected things come up in our lives and they can take a turn. I trust she will ultimately grow and become a wise young lady. She has so much in front of her, but she will have to see that for herself! Aunt Galya is wonderful. I love her lifestyle, with her chickens, kitties (company and love no doubt), garden, and generous and humorous spirit. It's good to see sweet Elina by your side too. About the "pancakes"; they look more like crepes - a thin form of "pancake", French in origin I believe, and usually rolled with goodies inside, to me. They look delicious.
She's amazing. It's true. She has a lot of positive energy and is always happy. Rare to find these days
Aunt Galja has a good heart!
She is amazing.

Myself also I live like her I’m older that auntie, still I prefer my life close to nature with pure foods .

Aunt Gayla is so self sufficient and active! The embroidery was beautiful. She's an inspiration. Sounds like she has good neighbors and a good son! I'm American and I don't hate the Russian people. Many western politicians whether in Europe or North America are not true servants of their people. They are serving interests of their masters who are greedy and evil. I agree. the war has to stop
I moved to a rural area 22 years ago and love the peace, quiet, and serenity here. The air is sweet, the water clean, nobody bothers anybody else. I've lived in cities and suburbs and this is far better. I don't farm, I buy all of my food. I want for nothing. My Great- Grandfather worked at the port for a year before he could bring his wife and children. Then they went to Detroit for work for a very short time. Then moved to Los Angeles in the early 1920s. He was a baker 🙂
Great to know! Yes, there were a lot of immigrants back in those days, so good that they found home for them.

Really like how you have oldschool countryside in Russia, can't find that in Croatia anymore, everyone is fleeing from rural areas and I cant recall last time eating domestic food, except eggs and little bit of vegetables, when I get home. Veliki pozdrav za tetu Galya-u :)
za tetu Gal'u )) Hvala vam
I truly enjoyed your video. And frankly Im glad the sanctions arent hurting the Russian people to badly. Your Aunt is amazing. Im 63 years old and I would love to be able to bake my own bread! That bread looked delicious!
I love you people! Keep up the hard work . I pray for mother Russia!
Галина, какая же вы чудесная женщина. Вы фундамент РОССИИ.
Such beautiful Russian family, we all hope to have a full family like this ❤️ wish Vika would talk more such a beauty
Вячеслав, спасибо за хорошие обзоры настоящей России.
Мира всем🙏🏻
My Godmother cooked for their ranch hands back in the day, she is dead now but she would be nearly 120 were she living.
And they were all thin and healthy
You're blessed with Aunt Galya. Cherish the moment while you can. Big hugs and love to her she's an amazing grandma. Get some nephews for her hehe. Namaste from Nepal 🇳🇵
@RussianPlus Those scenes are the same from villages near Poltava ! Warms my heart to see that people, real people are about hospitality, growing their garden and sharing fond memories with their family. I am glad you didn't use the vernacular name for dill btw ;)
The way it was and still should be! Awesome video. Would love to visit the countryside.
I'm 65 years old and from now I'm going to be mixing up my bread dough in a big bucket!! How much easier this will be!! 😃 Thank you for this video!
What a lovely family and a wonderful family time at the countryside. Everything is natural, homemade and fresh
Remember my days staying at Moscow [ 1989 - 1994 ] going village together with our Russian Friends gets life chickens 🐔 , fish 🐟 , sometimes freshly vegetables.
Avocado 🥑 , Tomatoes 🍅, I never got,, coliflower ( soyetneya kapusta ) I got .
On watching 👀 your Vlog feel very fortunate n positive. Lovely Watching countryside of Russian village.
Thanks.
ASHIM [ writes my name in Russian Language then nabarot ,]
🇮🇳 ❤️ 🇷🇺
ok jeet
Reminds me of visiting my grandma in rural Mississippi. She lived in a small modest house in a sparsely wooded area. She could cook up a storm...all from scratch.
Hey yeah...missisippi hello! Check out this video with the song about Russia. Oh, Russia! @
Are you nuts??? Sanctions were placed on Russia for a reason and the reason is Russian invasion of Ukraine and not wanting to accept that.
We love you too 😌🇷🇺
@@evgeniyakupriyanyuk9436 1 st time watching this. I called my grandma babushka, I jus looked that word up. Means Russia grandma, interesting
So good to know that WE are all ppl of this mother Earth! We all are going through GLOBAL CHANGES. The main our mission is to stay being HUMANS. That's the most essential tesks of all nowdays.
Dill is very popular in pickles, potato salad and chips, split pea and ham soup, generally traditional German food here in the USA 🇺🇸.
Dill can be purchased from the spice rack in any mainline grocery store in America
Does aunt Gayla have a husband?
I always envy the simple farming life out in the beautiful, green countryside !! Then I remember that it probably involves a lot of hard work, and unfortunately I am lazy, and I need the modern conveniences.
Oh, Russia! ruclips.net/video/D5-We6lqYCw/видео.html
I love Russian countryside. Watched from Cambodia countryside, thank you much my friend.
I love Russian life style beautiful people's beautiful country n beautiful places to explore I love it love frm 🇮🇳india
I like them filled with whipped cream and fruit.
I think if someone made those pancakes here in the U.S. we would call them "crepes" or (crapes)
I see that in Romania you use the word
plăcintă for somwthing that wraps around cheese, so it's similar, but maybe you called it like this because your dish looks like a genuine cake! Languages in the world are so mixed that it's always fun to explore word origins. I'm done with this word been scrolling pages for more than 30 minutes, haha... or maybe should I say I'm finished(свърших, svarshih or as you say desăvârşit - this is actually a joke
Greetings aunt Galya, from New Zealand. I just love your flower garden it's absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
It's not a McMansion, but it's so charming and cozy.
I like of what your aunt making your own wheat fresh bread....and your village as i observed is very peaceful..maybe youre not affected the conflict between ukraine and your country..isnt it? Godbless and keepsafe!
Love mom's Scorpions T-shirt - she could sing "Still Lovin' You" at the next Karaoke 😎
it's an original one. She got it at the concert! :)
I must say as an American. Many of us love dill, especially pickles ( which here is only pickled cucumbers) My mother grew dill and used it often. Of course my ancestors were from Ukraine of German and Russian ethnicity so maybe it's in the blood.
Yes, Germans love dill too.
Not the picture we are fed in the west 🤔 I may never get to Russia but thanks for taking me there today 😀
Love from New Zealand 🇳🇿🇷🇺 ❤️ 😍 💕
New subby here 👍
Может и попадёшь кто знает
I love your channel! Thank you for all your hard work. Please post more of these Russian countryside videos. They are so beautiful! Also, I would love to collect Aunt Galya's recipes! I have tried making rye bread, using a sour dough starter, but it failed. Her bread looked wonderful 😋
Thank you and your beautiful family for these great videos.
Off camera she's ok:) when the camera is on she hates me lol.
