Just got procreate, and am so THANKFUL for this tutorial. I have so many design ideas, and I didn’t know where to start. This is going to helps me so much! Thank you for sharing. I love the simple straight forward teaching style.
I don’t know if you have a video going over the brush settings but if you don’t, would you consider doing a video going through the settings and what the settings do to the brush? This was awesome by the way, perfect pace and very informative thank you!
Excellent tutorial. I practised your repeating lemon one over and over so its more or less in my brain lol. I will practise this one too! I would love to understand how to make a two coloured brush using a combination brush. I’m having trouble understanding how color in a combination brush works. I played around with it but I cant figure it out. I was trying to make a wreath brush that was green but had red berries lol. Would you consider a video for something like that? Not necessarily a Christmas wreath but just how to make a brush that paints two distinct colours as opposed to a brush that flows from one colour into another. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. 👍🏻😃👏🏻
This was just great! I love The fact that The brush continues were you luft of aften lifting is that because it is a repeating pattern or some otter Settings? I have some pattern brustes that do not do that they kind of start over on top of what is already done and mess everything up.
There used to be a setting you'd have to check in past versions of Procreate to keep that consistency, but now it's a default setting, so it'll always work :)
Love all your videos! This one has some great new tips I have not seen in other Procreate videos. Thank you Teela! Your pattern making tutorials make me want to create new fabrics and wallpapers on Spoonflower.
You do not. They sponsored this particular video, which is why their brushes were used, but you’re welcome to use any default or other brushes you own and follow the same process with similar results 👍
I’m having a tough time opening them in procreate. They sort of don’t seem like they can be, because it says adobe or illustrator, but nothing about procreate, did they maybe change the brushes?
Hey Pamela! The artist created two sets of those, one for Procreate and one for Illustrator - here's the link to the Procreate set: every-tuesday.com/tattoo-brushes
Hey Alison! If the recolor is filling the whole page, it could mean a few different things: 1. your flood level is set to max (bring it down a bit) 2. Make sure you're on the layer of the items you want to recolor 3. Move the crosshairs to the area you want to fill 4. If the item you're filling has any gaps in the path (isn't entirely closed), the color will 'bleed' out through that gap, filling the entire canvas. Hopefully one of those does it!
Hey Jane! Since they're zip files, they're saved in your files on your iPad. Navigate to your files folder and locate the zip. Tap and hold on the zip file until a menu appears then choose 'uncompress'. Tap on the folder that appears by the same name as the zip file and the .brushset file will be in it. Tap on that and it will install automatically into Procreate. I wish there was an easier way to immediately access zip contents on an iPad, but that's the quickest process as of now. I hope that helps!
No prob - it just means you're on an iPad that doesn't support it. Choose the default sRGB color profile and you'll be good to go (it's the next best thing)
@@EveryTuesday My iPad (iPad Pro 12.9" 5th Gen) didn't show the Display P3 option either, so I did some googling and found this solution: Create your canvas using the "unnamed" color profile under RGB. Once your canvas is created, if you check canvas information under the wrench icon and look at current color profile, it should say Display P3.
Envato Elements just introduced a 7 day free trial today! It's completely up to you what style you'd like your leaves to be - just be sure it's an opaque brush 👍
Sure, that means your square selections were off or they weren’t moved perfectly into place. Make sure you’re aligning the squares to the grid lines with magnetics and snapping turned on with velocity and distance set to max

So you have to subscribe to Envato to do your tutorials?
You do not. They sponsored this particular video, which is why their brushes were used, but you’re welcome to use any default or other brushes you own and follow the same process with similar results 👍
Hi Teela, I have great difficulty in downloading the envato elements( tattoo art) . Please help 🙏 if you can.
I’m having a tough time opening them in procreate. They sort of don’t seem like they can be, because it says adobe or illustrator, but nothing about procreate, did they maybe change the brushes?

I paid for the darn brushes and I can't get the recolor to fill. It fills the whole page. How can I tell which set (dynamic or not) I am using?
Hey Alison! If the recolor is filling the whole page, it could mean a few different things: 1. your flood level is set to max (bring it down a bit) 2. Make sure you're on the layer of the items you want to recolor 3. Move the crosshairs to the area you want to fill 4. Hopefully one of those does it!
Please help, it’s impossible to download envato brushes, I have difficulty with downloading every time. So frustrating

On my iPad I don’t see the Color profile: Display 3. Do I have to import from somewhere?

So, you couldn’t do this with Standard Brushes?
You can! Just sharing another option :)
Tattoo ink is sadly no freebie 😕 What can I use instead?

@@EveryTuesday ok, thank you
I love this tutorial, but I’m doing something wrong, I’m getting a very thin line in my pattern
Chutney I am following directions
