@@mj_runthat1 yea pretty much man, for me it's starting on one of those (point a) and letting your ear carry your melody to the next chord and note (point b) you use for the melody at the beginning of that chord and so on
@@NathanSander777 I had to make my melodies using my mouse for around 7 months until I got a midi keyboard, using the midis easier especially for inspiration and stuff but it’s not necessarily common for producers to have them anymore cause producings so accessible even without equipment like that

The third, the tonic and the fifth all work in reality, but its about which sounds best to you
