- Here's a tier list of all the various banners we've had in the past, based on consistency and value. If you are planning to save orbs for something, these would be the best bets!

I used to care a lot about merges, but then units became so ridiculous, I don't think it matters anymore, and now I have like 300 orbs all the time lol
IS have noticed that attitude and powercreeped merges in the form of emblem heroes ;-; While still not worth it, one nice +10 emblem hero would be an additional way to boost our favourite heroes, like Brave Celica in my example. Would it make her any better? Probably not. But It'd make her more "special" in my account. And we can change the engaed hero anytime too which is nice
@Meowkowhy Yeah honestly +10 merges on my favorites are more valuable than trying to +10 the units coming out now. I just see no point now when they're either invincible or just kill everything in one hit
@@ilikestamps2978 yeah, I've come back to the game after 4 years and was in quite a shock seeing my Karla do 0 dmg to some random axe while getting like 50 dmg in return ;_; I've got things under control now more or less but that was wild
Yeah, especially now that most ghb have good prf weapons and bst, the only orb intensive merges that matter right now are merges for mythic Peony and Plumeria.
For years now I’ve just been working on my favorite units and not cared about merging powerful units because I knew this would happen with powercreep. Tellius is my favorite game so I just plus ten my fav ones. Currently working on emblem ike but the last was Soren. You should see the number of abilities my Legendary Ike has in a desperate attempt to keep him relevant and with my current build he’s alright!
Early feh was kinda fun, One thing I remember about the first Christmas banner was that it was leaked before the game even launched
Yeah, all the seasonal banners from year 1 were leaked because they were all in the games code at launch lol
Saw FEdel on the thumbnail and instantly remembered how horrifying and braindead easy she was to use.
I still find it wild how I don't fear her anymore when back then, she was my most feared/hated unit.

I never thought I needed this video that much. Is actually so helpful seeing what can you expect from every banner and I did not realize Valentine for example was THAT good always. So is a good video to plan everything to save :)
Halloween introduced my main unit, H!F!Grima, which got me back in the game. So it's automatically the best banner ever. 😅
I still personally feel you should summon/build characters you enjoy rather then for meta reasons. I get it powercreep and better units etc, but I get more enjoyment using unit's like my Corrin, Mia, or Petrine and succeeding with them then just busting out Summer Edie and steamrolling over everything.
I will say you're better off not building older units at this point. Mostly because the flower cost is too ludicrous. Like Christ I want to fully flower my Adult Tiki but I'm going to need 3000+ flowers. 😢

Just build/summon whatever you want.
It's not just that. You have to compete with units that get free +10 extra stats on all the numbers. Even if you Res is bigger it's easy to forget that and the free true damage new units get. Old ones just can't compete much.
Really enjoyed this survey, thanks for the analysis. I just came back from a year off and all the DR and extra movement is making my head spin. Fell a bunch of tiers in arena D:
Personally, the Fallen Banner is for me one of the most hyped banners of the year. The 4 units are so cool aesthetically and gameplay-wise. They're all pretty impactful when they came out. For me is just tier A or S as I usually want all of them like the Brave/CYL units
Its definitely one of the coolest banner themes for sure

Gotta admit, wasn't sure I'd be agreeing with you all the way but you're spot on pretty consistently. Personally, I'd put Fallen in A. Not all of them are great consistently but some of them hold incredible value. I'm still actively using Ninian and Lilith and have used female Corrin as well as Edelgard for years.
Another thing I wanna point out is how the Xmas banner often starts a trend but then a banner shortly after capitalizes on it or immediately counters it, often the Valentine's banner. Happened this year too, Lyon is a menace for Byleth, Ephraim kills Edelgard and Dimitri and let's not forget Myrrh often being the better far saver in comparison to Byleth. Not sure if I'd downgrade Xmas to A because of it but those units often suffer because they're being countered so quickly.
Bride should definitely be top of A tier (or low S tier).
It introduced power creep or a new effect basically every time it came out.
1. Cordellia with her stats for a bow unit + Lyn with flash staff
2. Was admittedly kinda quiet, but tharja was a good unit at the time.
3. Fjorm introduced blessible isolation
4. Micaiah introduced dominance (the I-win button that they had to make the duos hindrance structure to directly counter)
5. Catria was THE longest running meta unit in fehs history with start of turn brave + warping support (also the great equaliser for f2p players), they had to introduce multiple new effects that directly shut her down while simultaneously releasing units that didn't need her support to finally force her out of the meta.
6. Lilina was one of the best AoE nukes for quire a while, being blue helped her so much to counter all the strong red units we had been getting at the time.
7. Tiki introduced scowl and was one of the best far saviours until we got duo byleth
coming back to feh after a year, hearing you keep saying was and were is frightening
I'm a fan of those random theme/dancer banners that come out in August mostly because it's unpredictable and they have new and pretty unique themes, plus those banners seem to favor Jugdral alts so I'm all for them. I'd say brides and both summers would be next and then the Christmas banners especially this last one. But Man would've been cool if the hero rises banner had the two best units from the most recent Christmas banner on it, but that's just my opinion.
Throwback to the “Blazing Shadows” banners right after the game dropped having 6 focus units on each of them
No thief banner? Granted it would still probably be C tier because the units can be fairly niche, but Duo Nina with super canto is still relevant in SD, AR, and Arena due to duo scoring and even more so Duo Kagero with Disarm Trap 4.
The thief banner was a one time thing, its in the C tier grouped in with the Tea time banner and all the other banners in that release slot

What would be the recommendation for someone new I used 120 orbs for green dream banner for the skills I didn’t have. I’m at a point I’m unsure what’s worth my orbs other than units I personally like
We're getting an emblem hero this month, I'd hold off on summoning until we see more info about that.
I still can't believe how many orbs I had to use for Duo Alfonse/Sharena, I'm ftp so it was painful! I wanted the new Pledge for them but I really have to save! 😭
My hope is that they change the spark for those who don't have Feh Pass for the Legendary/Mythic/Emblem and seasonal banners, I was panicking trying to get L!M!Alear and used a lot more orbs than I was thinking... At least I got one extra Gullveig.
I'm saving all orbs for Day of Devotion Duo Chrobin. I've returned to FEH after a 4 years break and I need them so badly

For a long time around first release I thought fallen banners were #2 to the Brave banners. And they were… (first armored dragon M Robin, Ike, Edelbeast, etc) but the problem was they didn’t age well, and their refines have never been impressive unlike the braves. So in the long run they’ve mostly disappointed me.
Why would I save orbs for a banner that’s a whole year away? I get winter and brave and ninja banners but valentines is so far away and new years like I don’t get why you’d save orbs that much
Well, there could be any number of reasons.
1- A surprise favorite is on the banner you weren't expecting
2- A new busted passive skill is introduced
3- You may want multiple copies for some reason or another
But also just good orb management is a smart practice anyway

Straight up they need to replace teh kid concept with a Veteran Banner. Like I'm not even specifically talking about gramps or grannies / older adults as younger, but this could also go with characters like Gerik, just in a younger state. Like age-range would be 16-mid 20s. Or you know what, a Duo Gustav & Henriette both younger, at the age where he would have proposed to her. Like give us that crap instead of random babies plz. A younger 20-some y/o Surtr just as he goes all "Comically Evil" etc. Really only kid banner I'll want to see is Kid Alfonse & Sharena since those 2 barely get alts.

Shiida is her Japanese name. Kayda is my preferred pronunciation of her english name. According to the game, its Seeda, but that's not a name so I'm not calling her that
FACTS nah there are so many heroes with names I just can't pronounce! I always figured it was Kayda as well, but then again I was calling Peony - P-oni for years till a buddy said something..

I'd never save orbs just to hunt down a bridge fodder unit unless its a banner demote. Might as well just hunt a second copy of the inefficient fodder 5*
I never really struggled with eitri, nor did I particularly want to pull for her. Im not sure why, maybe just because she always had bow weakness and I think by then y!innes was out too and he was on my arena core. Fomortiis is a better example of the duo mythic banners but I think that was January or something.
Then summer thorr, I never saw the value in her and now I have her she's outdated. Removing opponents bonuses is great for SD and global stall + exposure was her selling point but she couldnt followup and took a while to charge AoE.
That brings me to my next point, I completely disagree on the kid banner. Mark is duo thorr but good, he can't remove opponents bonuses but everything else about him is way better and he still has a ton of utility with all the debuffs. Young hector was also a menace, he isn't great anymore but I feel like he followed in fomortiis's footsteps and did it very well with insane atk debuffs. On other kid banners, young innes wasn't on the banner but was one of the best f2p units to this day, y!larachel was insanely good support and y!marth was the first 4* focus worth going for +10.
FEH Dev belike: All player should use as many orbs as possible in every banner without exception 🙄 That's why they continue to make a lot of broken units these days 🗿
Oh, you forgot the ONE picnic banner that was crap back in the day even! F tier
I can see why F!Edel is B tier. The other banner units weren't really good or interesting (Fallen Dimitri's weapon was straight up ass lmao) outside of the Menace skills, and even F!Edel herself was a waste to merge since she was so good already unmerged. It was definitely a state of peak brain failure for the game but the banner itself was just kinda mid. At most I could see A tier but definitely not S
Issue with Fallen banners (besides the most recent one) is that every single one of them will get hard countered quickly over the next few months they release. They're like a problem for a month on release but then the game will start to neuter them all. They really are not that good in the long-run. It really doesn't deserve the A spot, outside of the most recent as Maria, 2nd Arcane Sword, Fallen Byleth are straight up still useable now. Like Maria's miracle didn't really get countered outside of a specific skill or C-Feud. Compared to countering F.Edel, F.Rhea, where all you need is a DPS with DR piercing and or Null-Follow. Both are super common nowadays.
fallen tiki not relevant???? You weren't playing the same game as us back in those days then, she was everywhere and a nightmare to face if you didn't have dragon effectiveness, she's (and surtr) the reason they started slapping dragon/armor effectiveness to every units afterward for a while, fallen corrin was also pretty powerfull
fallen hardin and celica were kinda doodoo but grima was everywhere too at the time with vengefull fighter combo, the very first armored dragon too i think, and i remember it clearly since i was using him, he made every feh content easy may it be pvp or pve, made the "end phase" meta pretty popular
the one with fallen ike was kinda mid, even if ike himself was op a few month with his never seen before all stat unity, wich hard countered the debuffs meta going on at the time (aversa being everywhere) since he was "you debuf me? i win" the unit
i think i don't have to explain fallen edelgard, but the morgans introduced tier 4 solo skills (and at the time i think the best tier 4 A skill was like death blow 4 so pretty good fodder) and dimitri wasn't a pushover either even if edelgard completly overshadowed him
fallen lilith banner was kinda doodoo ngl
and then we got fallen maria still top tier support to this day and the game still struggles to create counter for her (deep wound 4 not enough to me) anankos the strongest far save unit for a while, speedy armored unit age way better than slow ones imo, fallen chrom being brave chrom on steroids + arcane devourer and fallen byleth who (like every godsword of the month) powercrept the one from the month prior and was meta until the next one released (i think it was felix?)
we got 2 mid and 3 really busted ones i think it deserves A tier at least
During that meta was the only time where I was consistently getting arena crowns every week lol
We had Surtr and Legendary Tiki already, Fallen Tiki really wasn't much of an improvement outside of her extra movement
@@tacho9427 nah legendary tiki walked so that Fallen tiki could run a marathon
Fallen tiki was a threat, but corrin was the one I felt changed the meta most. She couldn't have support, but she didn't need support because she was just a huge ball of stats but without the armour weakness, and that meant she was just as good controlled by AI as she was with players. I can't remember when everyone started getting +5 spectrum in their weapons but corrin was on +6 spectrum when +5 to two stats was still broken enough to require a condition.
