That was a major fail, BTL. More than scary that was near disaster, and they knew it. But that is part of the learning process, as Jordan Peterson says in his 12 Rules for Life (using skateboarding as an example): pushing it to the limit and beyond, so you learn what the limits are and what you can do (and can't do). One lesson learned apparently was: we need a bigger boat if we're going to tackle bigger waves. Hopefully they also learned a few more things about waves, wind, boating, and potential dangers.
That was quite the recovery after dumping the stern from that height. I filled the back of mine 3 times and lost engine on one of them. Scary stuff, the Dauntless will do the girls better.

There’s only one blue top legend! Love these ladies. They remind me of my daughter on her quad
watching from Tulsa, OK. Love this channel and the BTL!! Glad they saved it!
If that engine quits or misses a beat it doesn't matter how awesome of a boat captain you are. In those swells that close to the rocks you're done.
This actually did happen to them in another video, luckily for them that day they had another boat with them that helped until a tow boat got to them.
Wow! That was close! Those two are fearless! Radical BTL! 🙌🔥🤙
Oh yes! The Man, The Myth, the legend of BLUE TOP! I think we need to show mad respect not just for the huge balls on this legend, but mad respect for the hull design in general badassness of Boston Whaler. Even if he gets swamped I'll bet you the boat still floating! HUGE BALLS!
Except its not a man and there are literally ZERO balls on that boat
Literally two girls on BTL, have been since day one.
Slams like a sheet of plywood and will soak you in any amount of wind but I've never stuffed the bow or taken a wave over the bow. It does a good job of making me too miserable to want to stay out there.
She just raised the bar on the Legend of BlueTop.
I had a 21’ bay boat with a 150 I/o when I was 14. Running that baby in the bayou ripped the top clean off when a branch caught it. 30 years later my parents are still asking why we don’t run with Biminis. Glad there were no cameras around
Great save, girls. 🙏 Sure gonna miss the orig & our beloved 13' . Congrats on new hull , a better platform for your needs. Cant wait for maiden send.
Beautiful camera work from 6:40 to 7:10 thank you!!
I second this!
I need a boat
You can gain some great experience as a youngster with a small boat and big waves. A mate and I used to take on a smaller mouth with our savage snipe and his kestrel, both with 15hp jonos. Big air time until I lost the motor off the transom.
Dad was not happy.
Kudos btl
" YOU'RE GONNA NEED A BIGGER BOAT! " Happy to see those life jackets Ladies. 🌺
So glad they made it safely back!!!
You can definitely tell that scared them half to death. They ran that boat so carefully back in.
They were probably waiting for the bilge to empty the 100 gallons of water first 😂
Yeah, but they finished strong in true mariner fashion.
I knew it was just a matter of time before something like this would happen. I’m so glad they pulled through.
I’ve been saying for over a year that the youtube hype & fame is going to push these girls into some bad water some day and Dad just isn’t paying attention or something. Come on Dad it’s time you step in or get these girls a bigger boat!
Completely agree.
it says in the video they sold the boat and got a bigger one
@@TheBlatchi I didn’t see that but I hope it’s true. 😊
Nah, they are learning.. everyone pushes a bit hard sooner or later and we all come unstuck. They are in a safe place and know that many are watching if they get into trouble.. What they have learned here will save there lives out in the big blue one day :) (P.S. Usually where there isn't much help close by)
Has nothing to do with RUclips Fame you know there's been thousands and thousands of us that's been doing the same type of stuff living on the edge well before there was ever RUclips Fame adrenaline you should look for it sometime it's fucking awesome
Blue Top Legend is one of my new favourite RUclips series
You can't sell the BTL! It's a LEGEND! Timmy from Fort Lauderdale
Not an example at all Bruh...
Bad Skate boarding decisions get you hurt
Bad boating decisions get you dead...
That was quite the recovery after dumping the stern from that height. I filled the back of mine 3 times and lost engine on one of them. Scary stuff, the Dauntless will do the girls better.
BTL got cocky. Cockiness can kill. They’re lucky.
They came back humbled for sure.
Them Beeaacchh’ss are AWESOME!! 👍🏻, Big props to the BTL Ladies!! 👍🏻
smartest ones out there. only ones with a life jacket and a brain. drives a boat better than any man I've seen in these videos 🤘🏼
You know, if I had to go through those waves every time I left my slip, I think I’d take up golf.
I always enjoy your videos. The boats, style size and design and how they handle the outlet. The color of the water is amazing. Cool, cool, cool !!!
Looks like that wave taught them a lesson, you have to have some respect for the water. They almost lost it. I'm glad they made it through and no one got hurt. Those girls are fearless. I would have been s******* in my pants 🩳👖🩳
This is the first time I've seen them (BTL) wearing their life vests. Smart choice.
I don't know them, but I am proud of that skipper. She and her friend have guts and smarts and are as cool as can be.
7:03
An the Lord did GRIN after creating her!
they have plenty of experience on the inlet, well braced and wearing bright life jackets. they handled it perfectly well done girls
Boston Whalers are tough friggin boats and can usually handle more pounding than the knucklehead on the throttle. Glad she didn’t succeed in flipping it. The choice of moving up in size Whaler is a wise idea.
You must be new to the channel. The drivers of the Blue Top Legend Whaler show better seamanship than half the numbnut guys in $300,000 center console. They caught a bad crest and almost ended on their beam-ends but they didn’t- and they handled it.
@@towedarray7217 I agree. If I had to choose a driver to take me out to the deep, I would choose this young lady over most others.. P.S. I have spent a lifetime racing boats like this and in harder seas :) She is learning, and doing darned well at it.
You should do a 5 min interview with these 2 legends.
Fearless...lol
I am so happy to see the girls wearing life jackets!!!
That boat was STRAIGHT UP at like a 90 degree angle! WOW! They are nuts! And also seem insanely fun and entertaining haha
Its very entertaining but FUN?
I have a '93 Dauntless 15. It's just AMAZING doing these types wake jumping things. I don't even think about pulling the stunts these girls did in their 13 ft but, I felt like I had it all the way out of the water and turning 20 degrees while in the air...awesome boats.
Bilge pump? Naaah, water runs out the scuppers
No scuppers on an “88” Whaler
Please don't sell your boat. I have enjoyed watching you fearlessly blast through the largest of waves and showing us "who's the boss baby"!
Fearlessly? More like aimlessly
Hahaha yep fearlessly? it’s called youth. Bad example for youth of today. Show’ em who’s boss. That I want to see- she’ll get braver. Hope they don’t cut up the good part out of video when they crash.
@@Mudbug2000 My goodness, you call that a "Bad example"??? Maybe the youth you have experienced sit around and play video games or get Participation Trophies for their parents dropping them off.
Those girls can drive! Kept their flags intact and wore their vests and no little kids or beer in the boat. That's a big W.
as always the girls have you on the edge of your seat ... and bring it all the way no matter the wave ... good job all around .... stay safe ...
Y’all keep praising them. That day is coming. After the fame, comes the shame. Been going through that inlet since the 80’s. I came close to rolling my old aqua sport on a miss timed waved. Hate to see something happen
This comment should be pinned
They're having fun and learning, THAT should be praised.
Too often these days kids aren't allowed to go out and learn like older generations did.
@@agentcrm no one’s hating on them having fun. It don’t take much for that console to knock you out. Inlets claimed plenty of victims. Wouldn’t take much for that console to knock her out. Then it’s heh. Your daughter drowned while having fun. It’s just the more attention she gets. The dumber choices she’s making. The girl up front will get the worst of it. Point is. Fine line between having fun,and being stupid.
It’s all fun until the worst happens and WAVY gets sued for promoting it along with the advertising they are doing. Play stupid games and win stupid prizes, only a matter of time until someone gets hurt.
@@RDubMiami you see girl was stunned for a min. She was shook. Lucky another roller didn’t come through, and swamp her
Not only can you identify the boat at 6:42, but can you identify the "Deck Hand"? I want to hire her!
That "deck hand" was phenomenal😍 hats off to the camera man for getting the shot!
Amazing sisters right there! They admit proudly they love the rush and will always send it. Learned a lot about these girls from their channel. Hope to see them in their new boat soon, which they been planning for and working to be able to buy it for a while now. Yep, there buying their boat, it's not little rich girls with daddy's money as I assumed the first time I saw them.
I think they are friends not sisters but I may be wrong...I thought I saw that somewhere in another video.
@@JamesP29 They are sisters. They also have their own channel but haven't posted in a while. They sold that boat and have one that's a bit larger now.
@@charlesoutdoors2424 ok cool. Thanks for the info.
What's the channel?
Mother ocean always has a lesson no matter how experienced you are.
