A little detail some might miss is that the female hacker reuses the same torso and legs as the male hacker in game, despite the fact that the official art has a whole new body. It is assumed that this was done to save time or resources but this is unclear.
The reuse of the male death sound seems to be a bug, though this is also unclear.

I assumed the nail colors explained (in kayfabe) the use of the same torso and legs. I also assume the death sound is a bug

Nice! Finally a video that shows the actual changes rather than reading the patch notes.
    Many thanks! 🎉

Think the patch itself was announced in August '23 if I recall it right, just got held back by the publisher because "console version parity". Doesn't make sense for the end user, but guess it made sense for Plaion.

@@piotrszczepek4602 The reason it makes sense to do this is because by the time they had gathered all the bug reports, they ended up starting the actual console cross compilation porting. Since the game is made in Unreal engine, it takes extra work in C++ and asset LOD management to make sure a game can compile for more than one platform, as some libraries don't work etcetera. So, keeping it parity makes sure the codebase can compile at all for PC, so they're forced to stay paired otherwise some other device won't be buildable.
Remember, the team working on this game programmatically is rather small at this point, they have other projects to focus on (System Shock 2 enhanced etc)

Gonna be honest, I played version 1.0 for all of 5 hours and gave up. I found combat too difficult, the hacking mini-game too confusing, the auto-map too confusing, too much back-tracking and the inventory a pain in the arse. It looks like they've fixed most of this. One thing I did want the devs to add was the ability to change the difficulty AFTER starting play instead of locking it to New Game. Doesn't look like they've done that so I guess I'll stay away for a bit longer and hope they add that.

      Skill issue

I can understand the problem of changing the difficulty during a run as Story difficulty changes some fundamental parts, so it is actually becoming another game. I started on 2222 and it was doable, but some monsters just ripped me a new one like the first cortex... so I played on 1212 first to get a hang on it. Maybe I replay it again on 2222.

I hate to be toxic but it’s meant to be hard and complex it’s fine that you don’t like it tho not every game is for everyone

@@Soopytwist it's true that gaming skills wary widely. However the game is programmed in such a way that difficulties change entire aspects of it, not just numbers that could easily be changed on the fly. So I doubt that changing difficulties like that will ever be a feature.
You should still pick the game up though. Put every level on 1, then do a second playthrough if you want to challenge yourself.
