i’m so terrified that jacksfilms will not get any justice and continue to be punished by youtube although he was bringing awareness for content creators on the platform. after what she did, jack will possible never be guaranteed privacy and safety which everyone should have in their own home.

Unfortunately, a large percentage of adults in our generation and the generation just before us have raised children whos brains have been over-stimulated by electronics to the point that they don't function the same. As a result, a very small percentage of the young teens and young adults of today have the ability to be critical thinkers. Instead, they completely lack the ability to think for themselves, have an original idea, or use resources like researching to challenge an idea that doesn't seem right. You can also blame consumerism and the internet for making it far to easy to search for popular information instead of accurate information. Which equates to lazyness and settling for the bare minimum. I'm a little over a year in remission and I feel like just now I'm experience a little PTSD and kind of mourning about my health and my previous life before cancer. But I also have days where I feel very grateful and motivated to get through the day. I try now to not only live for myself but to live a life for others that couldn't come on this other side. So seeing Swoop mention you and seeing your comment here just gives me the daily push I need. So thank you for expressing on our behalf. May you have a wonderful holiday. ❤
@@moonchildbr I'm almost at a year in remission. My second surgery to clear up the rest of my tumor was last Dec 12th. Survivorship is a funny thing. I did my chemo and radiation earlier this year. That cancer is apparently gone, but now they're seeing something in my lungs that I'm having a CT scan on next week. You dodged two bullets. Not just cancer, but also getting involved with that scumbag Lia.

One of the things I hate about the argument people make about, “Oh, he’s scared that some tiny little woman? What, he thinks she’s gonna beat him up?” is that it COMPLETELY disregards the possibility that she might be armed. If someone is aggressive enough to hunt down your address and show up at your home, there is no reason, none, to think this person doesn’t mean to harm you in some way, shape, or form. And there’s no way in that situation to know what kind of harm they intend. In this day and age, it is very possible that someone with a grudge against you who shows up like that and demands you leave the safety of your home might have a weapon.

As a kid I liked sssniperwolf, especially her gaming videos. As a girl who really likes video games myself I admired her as at the time it was deemed a ‘male’ activity. There weren’t very many female gamer channels. I stayed for a while during her commentary stuff but I got bored when she stopped playing games full stop. It’s so annoying to see how she turned out and it was all her own fault. She had fans, she had money, she had it all, but she threw it away because of her own pride.

This is scary because RUclips opened a pandora's box that will be very difficult to close and I have a feeling that sooner or later this will implode in their faces and we are gonna face the repercusions, not them (similar to the adpocalypses that have happened before)
This is why you don't go to RUclips first. You go to COURT first. Only then will RUclips possibly listen, once you've legally proven they MUST take you as being serious and the media has noticed your story. RUclips listens to no power that doesn't have enough power to make them actually lose money somehow.

I’m in the same boat. I watched her every day as a teen back when she did gaming content, but over time her real personality just shone through more and more. Then after realizing what she did to Azzyland (who I adore) and JacksFilms, I’m honestly just appalled that I ever supported her.

I had someone attempt to break into my house while I was inside because of social media “drama”. I had less than 100k followers on that account and it happened to me. I can’t imagine how Jack feels knowing that his address was leaked to potentially 30+ MILLION people. Sniperwolf is dangerous and should be locked up imo.

Two things, as a graphic designer I studied copyright and fair use laws in depth. If the original tiktokers wanted to they could all band together and bring her to court for basically copyright infringement. This is why I hate react channels that just "watch" other creators' content. The main reason why she has so many viewers is because she is "pretty" and a "gamergirl". (pretty is in quotes because her personality is disgusting. Also with her doxing him, she doesn't know if some fanboy of hers won't go to Jack's house and harm him and his wife. Just because she wasn't going to, doesn't mean one of many many fans of hers won't. I really hope it won't come to that. Second, I have learned through Swoop that my original gut feelings about certain creators have turned out to be true. I should start making bets to see who the next youtuber would be to create such drama/crimes. Between Colleen, Illuminati and sniper wolf, I've never had good feelings about them and have always felt disgusting watching their stuff. Thank you Swoop for all you do!

Seeing them fall was a useful wakeup call; anyone can be fooled, especially if they aren't paying close attention. on the other hand; we shouldn't have to pay this much critical attention to our public figures, and I don't just mean unregulated youtubers. Only 20 mins into the video but I've been following this from the start. After watching Jacksfilms for 12 years now, it still stuns me to see him in the mainline like this. What Lia did was absolutely inexcusable, and the fact that she still hasn't been permanently punished or deplatformed yet is absolutely nuts. Jack's frustration is so valid, as he has been working his socks off for so long, crediting every collaboration and encouraging collaborative working, and to criticise someone who robs for her own benefit is absolutely fair. He wasn't nasty about her person, just the way she produced content - lazily, and unfairly. Lia's actions in response are so out of proportion and suggest a selfish, arrogant mindset. RUclips needs to step up and do something stronger, especially after she tried to evade the demonetization through her second channel. The fact that all of this helped bring forward that she always has done shitty things, and doesn't face any real consequences for them/show any change is incredibly disturbing. Thank you Swoop as ever for bringing light to this and for your insightful and incredibly detailed work (including every effort to credit/name creators!!!) as ever. As a female creator, she should know better than to post a creator's address online regardless. Even if her "intention" was not to threaten, with her millions of followers, she's well aware that there's going to be problematic people following and watching that. She is aware that her fans could be problematic and "take matters into their own hands." So even ignoring that her use of mob mentality is a threat in and of itself...she cannot claim that she was unaware of the danger she was putting his entire household in.
I also doubt her intent, because her sister (and her, iirc) are going 'what you can't fight?' and 'who would feel threatened by two skinny little girls lmao' (nevermind that one of them has a record for armed robbery). And the fact she tried to lure him out with food delivery (which she must have ordered, considering she knew the contents) in the middle of the night? All points to her having bad intentions. If I took 100 paintings from a local college and sold them, as if they were my own works, that is stealing. However if I opened up a museum and displayed these works, with little signs that said the names of the paintings and the names of the artists, THEN that is exposure.

I met a man who was an officer in the Weimar Republic's army and fled Germany when it became obvious to him that Germany had no chance of winning. He came to that conclusion in early 1939, in case you were curious. He once told me that if anyone puts the letters "SS", especially capitalised, in a position in their name that makes you inclined to pronounce it "ess-ess", they are quite likely a piece of shit. Some of the things I heard the man say about SS members would make you nauseous. For the record, that man died of old age a few years after I met him. He was in his nineties at that point. Larry Lawton has said in at least three videos that it is all about respect in prison, and Tony Soprano explained the first rule of respect beautifully. If you want it, you have to give it. It's awesome that he managed to not just recreate her style as a critique, but decided to change one aspect; actually having the content he's using be consensual and beneficial for the people who did the work. Lia should consider something interesting here about the quality and effort of her work; Jack was able to recreate her style, with added workload for ensuring consent and respect for the people's content he's using, while also running his own original channel content unrelated to it (though she'd have to admit that he actually makes a lot of videos that have nothing to do with her to do that) It really says something about exactly how much time and thought goes into the content that apparently deserves to make her a millionaire

I just hope something can be done in the future for people who steal other people's content just to make money.

Even if she wasn't sketchy by herself, she showed his house to all of her followers and the public. All it takes is for her to have 1 or 2 violently unhinged followers to put them in real danger of physical harm. But publicising it to millions cannot in any way be defended as what she claims, it is at best trying to cruelly utilise the fear that an unhinged stranger that saw it can now threaten him and his family, and at worst, is a masked request for someone to come do exactly that if not a threat that she intends to. I was one of the ones on the call playing jackbox when this happened live (it was some of us who work with jack on content and his wife Erin) and its just so surreal constantly seeing that clip and then hearing my voice and realizing I was there when it happened. Such a scary moment for all of us, Jack and Erin included obviously. I remember we stayed in that call for a couple hours after trying to carefully write the announcements jack made and talking about next steps. Such a mess of a situation that we're still feeling the impact of today

Obvs shooting the guy not being threatening and checking your water meter will not hold up in court but if Lia showed up at his house, he told her to leave, and she refused and was threatening him (which she was in her Instagram story), he could use force in a state with castle doctrine. California doesn't have it, but since Lia claims she doesn't know laws and we know she is extremely stupid, she would be in trouble in castle doctrine states.

RUclips kids has been shown to have straight up disgusting and weird shit time and time again. 20:10 - I had the EXACT same face at that time. As for ALLEGED Doxxing, she admits it MULTIPLE TIMES, while at the same time acting like she doesn't know what doxxing is. We need more women like Swoop in the world. I am one of many males who have been victimised, and I am in the unknown (because who wants to research world-changing shit like this?) percentage that have turned into monsters in part because of society's refusal to address the situation correctly. One of the biggest changes I had to make a few years ago was saying to myself "okay, people would beat you and bully you if someone said you farted in the wrong direction, but that does not make it okay for you to hurt other people". I do not know how many other men there are on RUclips with followings of his size, but not all of them are going to be able to resist the very normal and universally Human urge to go out there and wallop the piss out of a person who is broadcasting their home to five million people. Googoo and YouChoob are also setting a very dangerous precedent. They have made it clear that they will treat anyone who is abused by someone who makes them enough money as culpable in their own abuse and not take the steps required to help keep the abused person safe. How long do you calculate it will be before someone says fukk YouChoob's rigged bully-protecting system, I will deal with it myself, and then turns up in court saying yes, jury, I killed this person who was doxxing me because Googoo was only going to say it was partly my fault anyway? As a result, a very small percentage of the young teens and young adults of today have the ability to be critical thinkers.

One of the things I hate about the argument people make about, “Oh, he’s scared that some tiny little woman? What, he thinks she’s gonna beat him up?” is that it COMPLETELY disregards the possibility that she might be armed. If someone is aggressive enough to hunt down your address and show up at your home, there is no reason, none, to think this person doesn’t mean to harm you in some way, shape, or form. And there’s no way in that situation to know what kind of harm they intend. In this day and age, it is very possible that someone with a grudge against you who shows up like that and demands you leave the safety of your home might have a weapon.

It places a lot of people in danger because of there are plenty of people who will take their online obsessions and do horrific things to attempt to impress them. As a kid I liked sssniperwolf, especially her gaming videos. As a girl who really likes video games myself I admired her as at the time it was deemed a ‘male’ activity. There weren’t very many female gamer channels. I stayed for a while during her commentary stuff but I got bored when she stopped playing games full stop. It’s so annoying to see how she turned out and it was all her own fault. She had fans, she had money, she had it all, but she threw it away because of her own pride.

I also want to add: this was a terrible precedent from RUclips's side. It was known that they their favorites are immune but being so open to this it's nothing but scary.
We know now that as long as you are big enough and make enough money, you will be untouchable. This is scary because RUclips opened a pandora's box that will be very difficult to close and I have a feeling that sooner or later this will implode in their faces and we are gonna face the repercusions, not them (similar to the adpocalypses that have happened before)
This is why you don't go to RUclips first. You go to COURT first. Two things, as a graphic designer I studied copyright and fair use laws in depth. If the original tiktokers wanted to they could all band together and bring her to court for basically copyright infringement. This is why I hate react channels that just "watch" other creators' content. The main reason why she has so many viewers is because she is "pretty" and a "gamergirl". (pretty is in quotes because her personality is disgusting.
Also with her doxing him, she doesn't know if some fanboy of hers won't go to Jack's house and harm him and his wife. Just because she wasn't going to, doesn't mean one of many many fans of hers won't. I really hope it won't come to that.

Only 20 mins into the video but I've been following this from the start.
After watching Jacksfilms for 12 years now, it still stuns me to see him in the mainline like this. What Lia did was absolutely inexcusable, and the fact that she still hasn't been permanently punished or deplatformed yet is absolutely nuts.
Jack's frustration is so valid, as he has been working his socks off for so long, crediting every collaboration and encouraging collaborative working, and to criticise someone who robs for her own benefit is absolutely fair. He wasn't nasty about her person, just the way she produced content - lazily, and unfairly. Lia's actions in response are so out of proportion and suggest a selfish, arrogant mindset. RUclips needs to step up and do something stronger, especially after she tried to evade the demonetization through her second channel.
The fact that all of this helped bring forward that she always has done shitty things, and doesn't face any real consequences for them/show any change is incredibly disturbing.

As a female creator, she should know better than to post a creator's address online regardless. Even if her "intention" was not to threaten, with her millions of followers, she's well aware that there's going to be problematic people following and watching that. She is aware that her fans could be problematic and "take matters into their own hands." So even ignoring that her use of mob mentality is a threat in and of itself...she cannot claim that she was unaware of the danger she was putting his entire household in.
I also doubt her intent, because her sister (and her, iirc) are going 'what you can't fight?' and 'who would feel threatened by two skinny little girls lmao' (nevermind that one of them has a record for armed robbery). And the fact she tried to lure him out with food delivery (which she must have ordered, considering she knew the contents) in the middle of the night? All points to her having bad intentions. I met a man who was an officer in the Weimar Republic's army and fled Germany when it became obvious to him that Germany had no chance of winning. It's awesome that he managed to not just recreate her style as a critique, but decided to change one aspect; actually having the content he's using be consensual and beneficial for the people who did the work.
Lia should consider something interesting here about the quality and effort of her work; Jack was able to recreate her style, with added workload for ensuring consent and respect for the people's content he's using, while also running his own original channel content unrelated to it (though she'd have to admit that he actually makes a lot of videos that have nothing to do with her to do that)
It really says something about exactly how much time and thought goes into the content that apparently deserves to make her a millionaire

Something that prevents me from having perspective is the fact that Jacksfilms NEVER brought up Sssniperwolf's prior accusations, he just criticized her lazy content-making. Knowing how youtube drama usually unfolds, I wouldn't have been surprised if he started getting personal (since she insulted him personally more than once), but he never did. I just hope something can be done in the future for people who steal other people's content just to make money.

Even if she wasn't sketchy by herself, she showed his house to all of her followers and the public. All it takes is for her to have 1 or 2 violently unhinged followers to put them in real danger of physical harm. And with the number of followers she has, that's not especially hard to imagine being possible.
I wouldn't be so worried about Sniper's followers because thwy are all pretty young, but Jack has been one of the youtubers that has been making content that was toeing the line eith youtube, which is why we like him, but I think he is the typw of youtuber that has also a hater-base that has better access to find him now. I work in a mental hospital as a psych tech in Maine. My valid hoodie was delivered after the mass shooting. I was one of the ones on the call playing jackbox when this happened live (it was some of us who work with jack on content and his wife Erin) and its just so surreal constantly seeing that clip and then hearing my voice and realizing I was there when it happened. Such a scary moment for all of us, Jack and Erin included obviously. I remember we stayed in that call for a couple hours after trying to carefully write the announcements jack made and talking about next steps. Such a mess of a situation that we're still feeling the impact of today

Obvs shooting the guy not being threatening and checking your water meter will not hold up in court but if Lia showed up at his house, he told her to leave, and she refused and was threatening him (which she was in her Instagram story), he could use force in a state with castle doctrine. California doesn't have it, but since Lia claims she doesn't know laws and we know she is extremely stupid, she would be in trouble in castle doctrine states.
A lot of parents don't monitor what their kids are watching, or they trust that youtube kids doesn't have these people. RUclips kids has been shown to have straight up disgusting and weird shit time and time again. I am one of many males who have been victimised, and I am in the unknown (because who wants to research world-changing shit like this?) percentage that have turned into monsters in part because of society's refusal to address the situation correctly. One of the biggest changes I had to make a few years ago was saying to myself "okay, people would beat you and bully you if someone said you farted in the wrong direction, but that does not make it okay for you to hurt other people". My life began to change a lot at that point.
