Why this doesn’t have a million views is beyond me
Thank you 🙏
You are so kind! Thank you!
Great video! I have made a whole chicken in my instant pot from some of the older videos I've seen on here, but I like that you made yours straight and to the point. 6 mins per pound is what I was looking for. Thanks!
You are welcome! Enjoy!
What if I can not get a lemon, what can I substitute ? I want it for supper

The best part of the video was her actually explaining what buttons to push. ☺️I appreciate you. This was only my third dish from the instant pot. ❤ tasted great!

Well, thank you so much! I am blessed to have many, many good days
I made this for supper tonight. It was awesome!! I used your rub recipe and was pleasantly surprised. It does remind me of the rotisserie chicken you can buy at the grocery store. I made it exactly according to your instructions. I did give some extra time because it felt a little frozen inside. Great recipe!! Thanks Kristen 😊
So glad! Thanks for sharing!
Did you put in the oven? So much work
@@melissapaul249Under the boiler in the oven for 5 minutes.
SO very helpful! I just (saved up) and got an Instant Pot, on the advice of my nutritionist, but I have been super-intimidated trying to start cooking with it. :-( It did not come with clear written instructions (I'm old-school and need the ancient artifact of PAPER! lol), but rather with the very important, very complex safety instructions. Actually pretty much scared me, lol. All this to say, I am very glad to have discovered your channel and will be watching many more of your recipe how-to videos. Thanks, Mind Full Mom!
I am thrilled you found my videos! Please reach out with any additional questions. I am always happy to help!
This was awesome. I was missing thyme and paprika but it still came out awesome. Also, I added some carrots and potatoes too. I squeezed the lemons that were cooked in the cavity over the left over chicken which Mami and I will enjoy tonight. Thank you so much for your awesome recipe!
You bet! Thanks for sharing you enjoyed!
And her husband says: “I am also going in for a bite right now.” Lol.
Cool
👍🏻👍🏻
After you discard the skin, which had all the spices on it, is there any flavor left in the underlying chicken itself?
I find it to be very flavorful, as do other reviewers!
Love your video. Just subscribed and hit like button. I am a beginner for using Instant Pot. I am going try cook whole chicken. It is a whole chicken but I cut out the back. I am not too sure size of the chicken but it average sz chicken. Since back is missing what will be a good number to set. Thanks
Welcome! I am so glad you found my channel. It is hard for me to estimate timing, not knowing the size. Average could be 3 or 6 pounds. I would start with 20 minutes on high pressure with a natural pressure release. If not done, add 5 minutes.
Looks yummy.
Can chicken broth be used instead of the water?
Yes, but I find it to not add any flavor, so better to jsut use water.
Can you cook potatoes in bottom for mashed potatoes while the chicken is cooking? I'm thinking those chicken juices would be tasty in the potatoes.
It may be hard to fit both a whole chicken and potatoes in the instant pot. If you can, Iwould suggest keeping the potatoes whole or cut in half so they don't overcook during the time the chicken cooks.
@@AMindFullMom Thank you so much! Great advice 🤗
Hello! Is is still 6 minutes per lb if I spatchcocked my chicken?
Hey there! That is a great question and I honestly haven't tested it myself. I think 5 minutes per pound would be more accurate.
@AMindFullMom thank you!!! so easy! and the chicken turned out so moist!!! ready for my husband to catch a cold because I'll be doing the chicken for chicken noodle soup this way. have a great day ❤️
@@steviann LOL! Well, I say you enjoy the soup without a cold ;) Thrilled to hear you enjoyed though!
Your so likeable!
Awe, thank you
What on earth is a 'broiler'?
A broil function on traditional ovens.
a chicken's worst nightmare...
Don't knock it till you try it. It is actually really good.
Dont you need to add any water
Yes, there is 1.5 cups of water in the bottom of the inner pot.
Don't Lie... You know it's dry.
Not at all! Try it yourself!
