This is the BEST unboxing video! I had to return my processor because of a defect and I couldn't figure out how to repack it in the box. You are an answer to a prayer :) P.S. Your hair is beautiful, too! :)
Thanks for taking the time to create this video. I bought the food processor back in October and delayed using it because I love my Cuisinart. I finally started using the Vitiamix food processor a month or so ago and LOVE it! Thanks for all you and Tom do.
I have a powerful Oster blender that came with a smaller capacity food processor that I've used. But I wanted a chopper dicer. I began with an inexpensive potato dicer chopper but one of the dicer blades broke. I ended up investing in the Breville sous chef peel and dice and I adore it. It is my first dedicated food processor. I'm 60, so it's about time! I still wanted to watch your video to see how you demonstrated using the Vitamix processor. My Breville gets a lot of use weekly for veggies and fruits. I mostly use the dicer. It makes our fajita night especially easy!! And, while I have been waiting on my holland bowl to arrive, I've used the processor to chop up my greens and most veggies for batch salad prep. I put a paper towel down in the container before loading up with 12 or 13 veggie salads. It will be fun to see you use your processor for WFPB prep.
I love my Vitamix blender I’ve had it for several months now and it so much better than my cuisinart processor. I haven’t made hummus in it but I have made pecan butter and it come out so smooth and in half the time using my old processor.
Thank you for the demo and your opinion of this Tami ~ when my Cuisinart is "no more", I will probably go with this. Great idea for those that already have the Vitamix! It sure made that hummus creamy - I know my Cuisinart would not get it that creamy, which is why I always use my Vitamix blender - but the FP did a great job! Debbie in WA Ü
I thought these types of accessories are only compatible with certain model lines, so unless you already have an Ascent or Venturist, I would think you'd need to buy another base Vitamix mixer. (maybe that's what you already have)
how easy was it to clean? All i read about other food processors is how hard they are to clean or food getting stuck in parts they can reach make in it a health hazard.
This is very timely, Tami, as I believe Vitamix is doing “road shows” at Costco right now. Wish they had this a couple years ago when I was looking into food processors. I kind of hate the one I ended up with!
I'm with you on this! I went with a Blendtec a number of years ago (which I love), but I'm really liking the idea of having one appliance with multiple uses. I have a feeling that I'll be looking to possibly replace my Blendtec with a Vitamix. Vitamix really struck gold with expanding their base motor to accommodate more than just a traditional blender jar.
@@GlammyBee I don’t know what took them SO long! I always wondered why they wouldn’t do other appliances to go atop their bases. They’ve been around for ages and for a LONG time, only seemed to carry ONE model of blender, which is why I went ahead and bought a food processor. Had I known there was a chance they’d be doing all kinds of other attachments, I might’ve waited. Ditto with my smaller blender container-I would’ve put off buying it for the stainless version-another item I wondered why they never did before!
There's a Julienne and fries disc they sell additionally and you can see it on another channel..it was Henry something. I was not too impressed with the results. Looked really thin to be French fries.
Love Tami & Tom. Thank You so much for explaining the “paid promotion” label at the beginning of your video. It’s very misleading if it also includes endorsements. RUclips should fix that. I apologize for any misunderstanding. 💕

I dont think that money is an issue for them. They have a lot of expensive things and they use ease and share expensive food idea that alot of people cannot afford. I like them very also for their content.

From Amazon. You do have to have the Vitamix blender with the Srlf Detect technology in order to use the food processor attachment. I might’ve agreed with you, but the music only briefly plays in the intro and outro, which is how music should be done. Perhaps the volume could be adjusted down even further when she starts to speak, though…

Glad I could help!
I bought mine a couple of months ago and haven’t used it yet! I appreciate you taking the time to make that hummus. I will have to give that a try!
Get out that food processor and get cooking! You’ll love it.

Good to know!
Nice to see a video of the food processor paired with the Venturist V1200 machine. Almost every other video has it with the A3500.

I was really pleased with the results. I’ve been using it so much since we bought it in February.

@@NutmegNotebook thank you for answering.
Looks great. Sadly Vitamix will probably not sell it in the UK for years if ever 😩
Sorry to hear that

Great choice!

Great review. Tami, did you wash it first? And, does it have, or can you get a french fry blade for it?

Hi Tami, could you do a comparison video of Vitamix Food Processor and Cuisinart FP-14DCN Elite Collection 2.0 14 Cup Food Processor? Thank you!
Variable speed?
No it doesn't have variable speed - my Cuisinart doesn't either. It's either pulse or on.
The music isn’t necessary, takes away from hearing you speak.
I agree!
I might’ve agreed with you, but the music only briefly plays in the intro and outro, which is how music should be done. Perhaps the volume could be adjusted down even further when she starts to speak, though…
