I just saw the email from Vitamix about this attachment and you’ve already got a video review out. I especially appreciated that you took the time to look at the quality relative to similarly priced food processors since that would be an important factor in deciding if I want to purchase this. Great job!
Hello, I just found you, because my daughter got me the Vitamix Ascent last year for Christmas and then I see your video about the Vitamix Food Processor! I’m a fan now, not only are you thorough, and know how to throw down in the kitchen, you are absolutely, funny 😄 Thank you so much for sharing! Love ❤️ Sekhmet SapphyreSun❤️😻🙏🏾
I have been considering the food processor attachment. Calls to Vitamix and several videos which did more talking than demonstrating, and I was still unsure. Your video is fantastic. Professional and clearly demonstrates the functions and the build quality. What a great job you’re doing!

If vitamix made this 2 years ago, it would be a no brainer, but I have the breville peel and dice and that machine is a beast. I love having both the breville and vitamix in my kitchen.
Yes, I also mentioned and showed your machine with praise in the video. I have a kitchen full of Breville products. They make amazing stuff. Thanks for watching.
I do too. Having these work horses really makes cooking, prepping baking sooo much easier and fun. I feel bad for my poor mom spending hours in prep time years ago
I have several Vitamix blenders and quite a bit of Breville items. I plan on adding a blender that can handle this food processor to my collection. My Cuisinart processors don’t hold a candle to either! I love this attachment!
I have had the Breville 12 plus food processor for awhile now. The adjustible slicer blade is awesome. Vitamix needs to develop one of these plus a set of dicing blades.
I always forget how thorough you are. I just watched two other reviews and I swear I thought they were good (and they were). But I kept thinking I feel like y'all don't really know how y'all feel about it yet....and I still don't know what it does. Then I watched this. A world of difference! Thorough and concise. You have me excited to add this to my kitchen. Will be using you next month to purchase. Thank you!
I cannot say enough thank you's Brianna for your kind words in regards to my work. I just started watching your videos. They are professionally made! Your descriptions and explanations are on point and you make me hungry every time I watch you! Great job!
I saw the news that Vitamix released the food processor and before I ordered it, I came looking to see if you made on a video on it. And always, great video. Great pros and cons. and Ordered. Thanks, Henry
Great and honest review however the first few food processors you showed were of good quality for the price 100-250 if u take into account the motor of the most affordable accent series plus the cost of the attachment itself it will set you back 500 bucks. I personally own a kitchen aid processor and I have used it almost daily for 6 years now. But still great review and would recommend this accessory to someone who owns a vitamin accent and doesn’t have a food processor
Hi Ron! Vitamix stated that they may be available on Sept 15th. Check the website around that time and please use my link below this video in the Show More section to order? Thanks for watching.
Hey Vitamix!...this is not cool...making a attachment that doesn’t work with all models...😤😖😤...what is the point of having a legacy level model and be limited to its capabilities...☹️
@@junkingraj That wouldn't be safe for the user to have control on the speed. If the speed is turned up too high it would cause the blade discs and fly off the spindle, cause damage and risk injury to the user.
It would actually be illegal to release a version that works with the older machines. Food processors are required by US safety regulations (though I can't say for certain anything about other countries) to not start unless the lid is attached. This is possible with the self detect of the newer Ascent and Venturist systems, but not with the legacy models. The same issue is in effect with the 8 and 20 ounce containers that use the mini blade, thus why they won't fit/work on the older systems, but the Personal cup adapter (which creates a sort of barrier if somebody runs it on their classic vitamix) is allowed. (Though don't put the 8-oz cup on the PCA as it is a pain to screw on and off and it's also more likely to build up heat and pressure if you let it blend too long, possibly leading to the cup exploding, which is the other protective feature of the PCA, as well as why the mini-blade will only run 1 minute 15 seconds maximum on the newer machines it does work with.)
Henry, thank you for clarifying. Yours was one of the only RUclips videos/reviews that clearly states what Vita mix base/motor the new food processor is compatible with. I have the classic base so unfortunately can’t get the new food processor, but it gives me a reason to buy a new Breville instead.🤣🙌🏻🙌🏻👍🏻
Thank you Chris! Glad you appreciated the work in my video. The Breville Food Processors are amazing. See here on Amazon when you're ready to make the purchase. amzn.to/3jr0w7S
I got this last two Christmas’s ago to use for holiday cooking. It worked the first two times I tried it. The. Thanksgiving came around and my base doesn’t detect it anymore. I have had no luck getting it replaced.
how does it work chopping onion, tomatoes, etc. ? how does it work to chop? Could you do a more complete review? There aren't many and I still haven't decided whether to buy it
Hi Henry, love your videos and your sense of humor. As long as you mixed the dough (regular bread dough) in the food processor, can you just leave it in there for the first rise then us the food processor to "knead". The first rise is just pulling those gluten strands, it should work. Then remove for the second and final rise.
Hi, I honestly cannot address your question since I am not a baker. I followed a recipe to make the bread so I'm not an expert with dough. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏾
Right on!!! The Vitamix Days sale is pretty awesome! I didn't expect the Food Processor and the Stainless Container to be part of the sale. You're going to love them.
I love my vitamix Ascent but I can't justify 200 for the food processor. (Definitely worth it, I'm sure) And I would pass on my Quisinart to my daughter. Thanks for the great video. I'll keep my eyes open. Oh, and I got my original Vitamix 25 years ago for baby food.
Completely understandable Darlene. The biggest sell of this product is it's space-saving so you don't need a dedicated Food Processor. I never owned one until now and I'm so happy Vitamix did this.
@@BlendingWithHenry That was the 1st thing I thought of was that I could clear my cabinet of my food processor lol. If I even mentioned this to my husband he would go out and buy one immediately because he doesn't care about $$. He always thinks I deserve the best and vitamix is the best!! Thanks, Loretta
Thx for the review. I saw this processor at the Vitamix road show at Costcos, I am thinking about going back today to purchas because I believe this processor product cost a little less at the road show. ( subscribed)🙂
Hi Henry. Thank you so much for these reveiws. Could you encourage Vitamix to make blenders that can use 240 volts for Africa? I love the Vitamix 5200 blender but i can't buy because it's incompatible with our Nigeria voltage . We can't use without step downs and it's risky at that. No need investing in an expensive equipment and then getting it spoilt due to voltage 🙏🙏
Great job as usual, Henry! But…. Can you also use this processor to make sorbets and sherberts and mixing ice cream? If so, how? For example, you would not use blades? Or would you for the sorbets?
You can definitely make frozen desserts but will have better results with the standard blending container. See my video clip at this link showing the standard container vs. the food processor attachment making a frozen dessert. ruclips.net/video/wFDl6gFjiSY/видео.html
Perhaps I missed it, eh? But, why or how would I have better results with the standard container? I’ve been trying to put the frozen fruits in the standard container from my Vitamix Ascent 3500 and it seems to have trouble spinning. I use the Frozen desserts button. It’s getting frustrating, but I’m going to watch your other suggested video NOW!
So I got a PayPal gift card for about $400 and I picked up the A3500 over Black Friday..I had to pay about $150 from my pocket. Absolutely in love with it - I had a BlendTec earlier, but the A3500 blows everything out of the water. Now I am not too sure I would want this Food Processor attachment - just because it has too many moving parts..$200 is actually very affordable for a food processor, esp. with a name like Vitamix backing it up. But the number of parts in it just make the whole thing so daunting..
Fantastic review thank you for so much detail it helps a lot especially comparing it to other processors. I was wondering how it goes slicing tomato’s?

Hi Brittany! I just uploaded my Vitamix Black Friday-Cyber Monday Holiday Gifts video. The Immersion Blender Review is included in this video. See here ruclips.net/video/_vp5zTdEbHk/видео.html
Hi Amy! Happy holidays! Always a joy to hear from you. Yes moving forward Vitamix is supporting their Ascent and Venturist line of machines in terms of futuristic accessories.
@@BlendingWithHenry Hello Henry, I was wondering if you would reply. lol. Because this is one of your older video. Thank you so much for the response. Maybe when I am ready to buy another Vitamix, I will look into this model. Have a wonderful New Year. Stay safe and healthy. Love you.
Very nice! will the 12 cup food processor attachment work with the UK Vitamix Ascent A2500 Blender? If I bought it from your USA link, will I be able to use it in the UK? Thanks
Hi Colin, I do not have an answer for your question. Currently Vitamix offers this product to the U.S and Canada which use the same voltage. Since this is a wireless product I don't know if it's tuned to work with UK models.
Hi Ron! I'm certain Vitamix will get more in stock soon. The Food Processor Attachment is their biggest anticipated product in years so it quickly sold out just two days after it became available for purchase. I encourage you to check the Vitamix website often for availability. Please be kind and use my link to place your order. The link is in the Show More section below the video or on my website www.blendingwithhenry.com
Hi Henry, i’d been watching you since I bought my vitamix ascent and how to use the smaller containers. Just wondering if the food processor can be a good one to make cauliflower rice, does it has grater blades?
I have 2 Breville food processors the Pro and 12 cup. They are the best. I gave away my Cuisinart food processor. However I totally need this food processor. Lol. Thanks Henry😂
Can the Vitamix food processor attachment make perfect nice cream? Can you demonstrate that please. That is the only thing making me hesitate on purchasing. I need to know it can make perfect nice creams. I don't like using my normal vitamix to make nice cream because of the need to scrape around the blades to get the food out.
I do not know that. I haven't tried it. I love taking requests but there's not been anyone (outside of yourself) requesting such a demonstration so at this time I will not be doing a video on that.
Great video. :( unfortunately it won’t work on my machine. That said when I was watching you make bread I sooo! Wished it would. I love my dry grain container and in winter time use it almost daily to make bread. Clean up is very easy. But honestly pushing the dough down in the container is sometimes difficult. This last year I learned the wet chop method. And it works fine for coleslaw and carrot salad. Again though this new container would make things so much easier. Thank you for the video
Thanks so much for watching and supporting me Marlene! No worries, you may upgrade to a new Vitamix in the future and you can create your Vitamix package including the Food Processor Attachment.
When making Salsa and Pesto the standard multi-purpose blade is used. Processing discs are not necessary. It would actually take longer to use chopping discs for salsa. You only have to quarter each ingredient such as the tomatoes and onions and throw them in the bowl and the blade will do the rest of the processing in a matter of seconds.
Hi Shorya! I do not know this for sure. I would probably say no since other countries (except Canada) outside of the U.S use a different voltage and the Food Processor activates from the wireless feature that tells it if it's the right machine to run on.
I sympathise Shorya. Here I am in the UK loving my vitamix, desperate to buy the weighing scales, under blade scraper & now the food processor but NO these are not available for us 😢😢😢
So is this 12 cup food processor container used it instead of wet can container? When looking at your full blending items in the picture I didn't see the wet container.
Yes it's ready to order. It's available for the USA and Canada. I will provide you a USA link. If you need a Canada link please use the link in the Show More section below the video. bit.ly/3buxdhq
Only USA and Canada. If this is a successful product it's a possibility that Vitamix may consider offering it in other countries. I can't guarantee anything though. But I feel ya!
The 64oz is compatible with the E310. Right now Vitamix's new promo is for 20% OFF all accessories for USA and Canada. Some exclusions. See here for 🇺🇸 bit.ly/2HUmbHC. See here for 🇨🇦 bit.ly/34opdez
The Food Processor is compatible only with the Vitamix Ascent and Venturist V1200 machines. They have bluetooth built-in and that is required to run this attachment.
Be still my beating heart.. be still ..Henry, do you know if this is compatible with the export model A3500i? Unfortunately the AER on Amazon doesn’t read on the EU model.
I'll have to check on that Reen and post an update to you. The comments section for this will grow fast so I may have trouble finding your post. If you don't hear back from me in a week please reach out to me via email here ➜ www.blendingwithhenry.com/ask-henry
This video does compare the Vitamix Food Processor Attachment to multiple brands of food processors showing build quality and prices. The Vitamix food processor is not designed to compete with other food processors. It's for people who have a Vitamix Ascent or a Venturist machine that want a true food processor without buying a whole standalone machine so they can have an all-in-one product. There's really no point in comparing included discs between each model because the Vitamix product is not targeted towards non-Vitamix owners.
Hi Amanda. Since the UK versions of the Ascent have a special lid that activates the machine I do not know if it will work on the A2300i. I'll have to check on that.
I like it how detailed the descriptions and comparisons you did. And the step-by-step process in creating this meal. However, it is very frustrating to be interrupted by so many ads at the same time...
Thumbs down to me (you get a thumbs up though!) for buying a Blendtec instead of the Ascent... Don't get me wrong, the Blendtec is great but this Vitamix ecosystem has grown into something incredible.
Thank you so much for your support.I have to agree! I'm so proud to see Vitamix turn their product into the ultimate chef's machine. Blendtec makes a great product but Vitamix is moving forward rapidly.
@@BlendingWithHenry Yeah, I ultimately decided on the Blendtec because I felt I could live without the Vitamix blending bowls and blending cup. But then they put out the stainless steel. Now this. And now, they even have a freakin' food composter... Hitting all my buttons... I feel like the song: "Baby come back..."
Would rather not have to hit start every single time I push food back through the tamper. Why can't the blender auto detect and restart on its own if you have paused it to add new ingredients?
Hi William! I get your point but that might be maddening for many while loading the food chute the weight of the ingredients might activate the motor when the user may not be ready to do so. But you don't have to use the Pulse function like I was doing. You can simply allow the motor to continue running after pressing the Start button one time, then proceed with pushing the ingredients through.
@@BlendingWithHenry can you slowly add olive oil while it's running to blend your Caesar dressing? If so, then I'm getting mine soon. Thanks for the great review and every time you laugh during your reviews, it makes me laugh 😁🤣. Keep up the good work... Love it!
@@chillywill95831 Yes, you most certainly can create dressings in the Food Processor Attachment and add olive oil slowly for caesar dressing while constantly running. It runs equally as fast as a stand-alone food processor but since it runs at only one speed it has to be slower than the typical Vitamix containers so it won't splash food and liquid ingredients around, so making dressings would be perfect using it. I created my Mustard Vinaigrette in the 48oz container because it was a smaller recipe and to showcase the many things that can be done in multiple containers using the Vitamix. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how efficient the Food Processor Attachment is. If Vitamix continues to support the Food Processor with more accessory discs they are going to take a lot of business away from the stand-alone food processor companies. If you decide to go for it please use my link below the video. It will support my work. 🙏🏾
It's a multi-purpose blade for creating the dough like you saw in the video. It's also for making hummus, ice creams, nut butters, fruit n' nut bars and the like.
You left out a con. You can’t put something like a whole cucumber into the chute and let gravity feed it. Long foods like cucumber or zucchini have to be cut into short lengths so the food pusher will activate the safety mechanism.
Understandable. Only a small few of Vitamix's newest accessories are not compatible with your 780. The Food Processor Attachment, the 20oz blending cup and 8oz blend bowl w/blades. These cups and bowls do not require an adaptor. That's it. Everything else is compatible with your 780.
I just saw the email from Vitamix about this attachment and you’ve already got a video review out. Thanks, Henry. Can you do a review on the new Vitamix immersion blender, Please?
Hi Brittany! I just uploaded my Vitamix Black Friday-Cyber Monday Holiday Gifts video. The Immersion Blender Review is included in this video. See here ruclips.net/video/_vp5zTdEbHk/видео.html
@@BlendingWithHenry You’re the best! Thank you! ❤️
I have been waiting for this 💃🏽
Me 2! I assure it was worth the wait. Really good product.
I couldn't tell from the demo, but does the food chute accommodate both small and large items - e.g., is there a dedicated chute for each?
Yes, the small chute fits inside the large chute so there are two sizes to accommodate big and small ingredients.
Hi does that food processor shred cheese? Love ur recipes and will be trying for sure.Take Care
Yes it does! See here ➜ ruclips.net/video/-JSK6w3_9fs/видео.html
Awesome review as usual, I just wish it was compatible with my Vitamix!
Yep I totally get where you're coming from! Thanks for always supporting me!!
@@BlendingWithHenry My pleasure Henry, even though I get behind sometimes! Whenever I do get behind I usually end up binge watching! 😊
I love this!!! Amazing
Thank you! Really glad you enjoyed the video.
Great review. This doesn't work with the 7500 I guess. Vitamix is the best
Unfortunately that is correct! Thanks for watching and for your great feedback.
Hello, Henry, I would love to have one but it's not compatible to my 750 Pro series. too bad. Wish you a happy holiday.
Love you.
@@AmyiReport No worries Amy! RUclips lets me know when I receive new comments no matter how old the video is. Happy New Year!!😍
Very nice! will the 12 cup food processor attachment work with the UK Vitamix Ascent A2500 Blender?
If I bought it from your USA link, will I be able to use it in the UK? Thanks
Hi Colin, I do not have an answer for your question. Currently Vitamix offers this product to the U.S and Canada which use the same voltage. Since this is a wireless product I don't know if it's tuned to work with UK models.
@@BlendingWithHenry Alright, I will try to ask the people at Vitamix support. Thank you for your time.
Helpful. Thank you.
Henry encourage Vitamix to produce more of these food processors
You really do a hell of a demo squeeze in your hands pretty cool the handles
Thank you so much for watching and for your support! If you haven't done so as of yet please subscribe for future updates on new videos. 🙏🏾😍👨🏾🍳
@@BlendingWithHenry I will you are the best for vitiamix company
Hi Henry, i’d been watching you since I bought my vitamix ascent and how to use the smaller containers. Just wondering if the food processor can be a good one to make cauliflower rice, does it has grater blades?
It comes with a shred disc for grating cheese and shredding veggies. I have no experience with califlower rice.
I have 2 Breville food processors the Pro and 12 cup. They are the best. I gave away my Cuisinart food processor. However I totally need this food processor. Lol. Thanks Henry😂
Thanks for watching and for support Grace. If you haven't done please subscribe for more videos like this!
I'm out of luck for this processor. I have a 750 pro. Now I guess I'll have to save for a Ascent Vitamix.
Understandable.
Great video! Thank you
You are welcome Kim! I appreciate you! 🙏🏾😍🧑🏾🎄
Yep, gonna get one!!!
I think you're going to love it Jen!! Thanks for watching!
How cool is that! Thanks!
Glad you liked it! Thanks so much for watching Rhonda! 😍
No worries, you may upgrade to a new Vitamix in the future and you can create your Vitamix package including the Food Processor Attachment.
how about chopping for a salsa and making something like pesto? It only slices and shreds?
When making Salsa and Pesto the standard multi-purpose blade is used. Processing discs are not necessary. It would actually take longer to use chopping discs for salsa. You only have to quarter each ingredient such as the tomatoes and onions and throw them in the bowl and the blade will do the rest of the processing in a matter of seconds.
Hi Henry , can u please tell if the new vitamix food processor work with international Ascent models
thanks.
Hi Shorya! I do not know this for sure. I would probably say no since other countries (except Canada) outside of the U.S use a different voltage and the Food Processor activates from the wireless feature that tells it if it's the right machine to run on.
I sympathise Shorya. Here I am in the UK loving my vitamix, desperate to buy the weighing scales, under blade scraper & now the food processor but NO these are not available for us 😢😢😢
Please request Vitamix to make changes to this food processor to fit the explorian series 😔
Not going to happen because the smart detect is necessary for motor control.
So is this 12 cup food processor container used it instead of wet can container? When looking at your full blending items in the picture I didn't see the wet container.
The pictured stainless steel container is the wet container.
I have this and sometimes it pops off the spiral base. I wish it locked until place rather than just sitting on top.
Odd. Never had that happen. I use it a lot. While it may make sense rhetorically it's not a good idea to lock down the containers to the base.
is this already available?
Yes it's ready to order. It's available for the USA and Canada. I will provide you a USA link. If you need a Canada link please use the link in the Show More section below the video. bit.ly/3buxdhq
can you make nut butters in the food processor attachment?
Yes, you most certainly can.
Please tell me we can purchase the Vitamix Food Processor in AUSTRALIA? 🥺🙏🏼
Only USA and Canada. If this is a successful product it's a possibility that Vitamix may consider offering it in other countries. I can't guarantee anything though. But I feel ya!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I loved the video. Why doesnt it work with 5500 ??
I'm guessing you meant the 5300? I haven't heard of a 5500. But if it's not a Vitamix Ascent or Venturist model then it will not be compatible.
@@BlendingWithHenry sorry i meant 5200. If u have one of the 5200 series, cud u try pls ?
Can be this be used in a 7500 & a 750 pro?
HENRY! Can one purchase a 2litre jug for the E310??
The 64oz is compatible with the E310. Right now Vitamix's new promo is for 20% OFF all accessories for USA and Canada. Some exclusions. See here for 🇺🇸 bit.ly/2HUmbHC. See here for 🇨🇦 bit.ly/34opdez
Where is the recipe for the artisan bread? I must be overlooking it but I don’t see it!
You can use this one. I've made this a few times. Comes out great and easy to make. ruclips.net/video/I0t8ZAhb8lQ/видео.html
Great video yet again! Henry, can we get a lifestyle video? Meet the family and see what they think of getting to eat all that amazing food?
Ah, my family has wanted to get in my videos, but due to social media trolls I try to keep my friends and family separate from my work. 😊
Blending With Henry: those guys are a bummer for everyone :)
So you can only use this device if you have wireless connectivity available?
The Food Processor is compatible only with the Vitamix Ascent and Venturist V1200 machines. They have bluetooth built-in and that is required to run this attachment.
@@BlendingWithHenry Thanks so much
Does it chop meat?
Yes it does using the multi-use blade.
Is the processor compatible with all base models?
Only compatible with the Vitamix Ascent and Venturist machines.
Blending With Henry much appreciated Henry. Bless you!
You should do videos comparing the Vitamix food processor with other brand food processors.
And the creaky handles can pinch your hands, too!
Does the food processor work with 2300i
Hi Amanda. Since the UK versions of the Ascent have a special lid that activates the machine I do not know if it will work on the A2300i. I'll have to check on that.
@@BlendingWithHenry pliz do check for me
I like it how detailed the descriptions and comparisons you did. And the step-by-step process in creating this meal. However, it is very frustrating to be interrupted by so many ads at the same time...
Thank you for your awesome feedback and for watching. About the ads, those are hosted and posted by RUclips. I have no control on them.
only thing left now is to introduce a mixing stand and meat grinder then I this machine will be complete for me.
Fingers crossed there's more future support from Vitamix for this product.
What does the S blade do?
It's a multi-purpose blade for creating the dough like you saw in the video. It's also for making hummus, ice creams, nut butters, fruit n' nut bars and the like.
@@BlendingWithHenry Can we dice onions with this processor?
@@anithaloganathan4353 It does not come with a dicing disc. Hopefully it will be a near future optional accessory from Vitamix.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That laugh is a crucial ingredient fellas.
I guess it makes the blends better. 😂
I really wanted to find but butter making on this videos. 😭
The included container with the Vitamix makes nut butters faster and easier than doing them in a food processor.
🍎 Great 👍 job looks 👀 nice 👍 🍎
Please we need everyone support!
Thank you!! Really awesome feedback!
👍✳️👍✳️👍✳️
Thanks fam!!!
You left out a con. You can’t put something like a whole cucumber into the chute and let gravity feed it. Long foods like cucumber or zucchini have to be cut into short lengths so the food pusher will activate the safety mechanism.
I can understand how that could be a benefit for you but I don't really see that as a con.
Thanks for letting us know about made in China .. Bad news .. 😳
The biggest draws back is it only works for the accent and venturist
They should offer this processor attachment for the original vitamix's. sad
You didn't do the most important test for a food processor. Slicing tomatoes and dicing vegetables.
Vitamix Should Make Container in Glass Also... 😡 Only Plastic Nd Steel is So Expansive
can i come live at your house now
Will it work with model 780?
It's not compatible with the 780.
@BlendingWithHenry thank you, but it's sad that I paid so much for that unit. How would I know what accessories will work with it?
Understandable. Only a small few of Vitamix's newest accessories are not compatible with your 780. The Food Processor Attachment, the 20oz blending cup and 8oz blend bowl w/blades. These cups and bowls do not require an adaptor. That's it. Everything else is compatible with your 780.
