I used the thin slice disc but each of my slices came out half thin, half thick (almost like a wedge). They tasted great but the uneven cut caused them to cook unevenly. Any tips on how to get thinner and more even slices in the Vitamix food processor?
Hey, Henry! If you just used your veggie stick fry stick, could one put the fries in the air fryer as opposed to deep frying them? Or would they be too thin for an air fryer? However; if an air fryer was used, how long would you put the fries in the air fryer and under what temp?🤔
Hi Mignonne! Yes you can air fry, but what I generally do is to let the fries pre-bake in the oven for at least 20 minutes since they are raw. Then allow the air fryer to finish them and brown them up. In the Air fryer use 350 degrees F. Time depends on how long they take to brown. If you try to cook them only in the air fryer they be more brown on the outside and too "potato-e" on the inside.

In terms of the Spiralizer I'm hoping for that too. I'm sure if Vitamix sees a great deal of customers buying the Food Processor Attachment they will support it more. Since it's a new product that only works on select machines it makes sense to start with a small amount of accessory discs for it. I have never made cauliflower rice and I'm not certain what type of blade would be used for that.

Hi Kris! Yes you can use the flat top only. The multi-purpose blade spinning inside will do many tasks such as making ice cream, nut butters, kneading dough, etc.

Unlike baking fries which tend to turn out very good, baking potato chips doesn't tend turn out favorable results. I checked out a few ideas from others doing this and their chips either turned out dry, oily or not the same as store-bought potato chips. Even Baked Lays aren't every good. Air frying would be worse since this method dries out food if you don't carefully monitor what you're air frying.

07:10 EVOO is perfectly fine for deep frying at 350F and much healthier than using seed oils!
Use whichever type of oil is best for you. I never said EVOO wasn't suitable for frying.
