    I have an E320 rebuild coming tomorrow with container scraper. Looking at additions, I think the dry milling is one and the 32oz wet is the other. The stock 64oz is a waste for 1 person household.
    My old Ham Bech & new Brev. Hemi. are getting donated to local public radio station to make room for Vitamix. Your channel provides so much "good sense" knowledge on both cost saving nutrition and tips on getting the most from Vitamix. I am new to this world and look forward to a rewarding adventure. Thanx!

    Okay Henry, now I’m hungry again! So many great ideas and I really like how you compare blended food to processed foods. It’s crazy how many chemicals are in our food. Every time I watch your videos I’m inspired to try something new.

    HINT for grains: Keep grain in freezer until ready to mill. This does two things: It keeps the grain fresh and the frozen grain does not overheat in the milling process and remains fresher. You can taste the difference if you try it both ways.

    When I make chocolate chip cookies I blend everything except the flour and chocolate chips. It makes fluffy, yet chewy cookies. Best ever.

    You are just a wealth of knowledge thanks for sharing I’m thinking of getting a 3500i or 2500i can’t decide quite pricey here in Australia- one question what happens if you grind the flours or chickpeas in the jug you get in the box?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  4 года назад +2

      Using the WET container to grind dry ingredients will end in mixed results. The WET blades are pulling ingredients downwards which releases natural oils in whole grains. You will get clumpy results due to the grains turning into butter at the bottom of the container. the DRY blade container is designed for grinding whole grains into flour by pushing the ingredients upwards away from the blades creating a powder effect.

    I used ice cubes once for a smoothie in the 30+ years I've been a Vitamix owner. What I much prefer is to make ice cubes from unsweetened coconut water (Zico is good) and various milks, e.g. skim, soy, and Blue Diamond unsweetened almond-coconut vanilla and unsweetened chocolate. Keep 'em in labeled freezer bags and you don't have to worry about diluting your favorite recipes.
    Duralex mise-en-place bowls!

    Question Henry.. other than the price of vitamix (how pricy it is) does it has a disadvantage? I mean anything bad about it?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  5 лет назад +2

      Over the years I've been vocal about a couple of things such as the measurement markings on the containers being translucent as they are difficult to view when adding ingredients. Vitamix paints measurement markings on the commercial containers but the home containers they don't. I've always asked Vitamix about earlier models not having a digital display so you can monitor the blending times. They have done that now with the new Ascent and Venturist models. Other than that there's nothing bad about Vitamix machines. It's the preferred blender by professional Chefs, bars, restaurants, Starbucks, McDonalds and the Food Network. If they love Vitamix there's nothing really bad about them. 😊

      I love my vitamix , except that it is deafening to the ear on the highest speed. The newer versions may not be as loud, I am not sure, but I will just have to continue to cover my ears while in use because I refuse to buy another one until this one no longer works.

      Every time I grind grains in the Dry Container I plug my ears, especially when turning popcorn into cornmeal. Doesn't matter who quiet the Vitamix is. You're not alone. haha. Thanks for supporting me.

    What brand is that bar you got to tell the people I want to try your recipe’s brother

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  3 года назад

      Hi Pat. I no longer share brands of food and certain products in my videos due to the necessity of keeping exclusivity to my work. I will say to use a high cacao chocolate bar with low sugar.

    What “preservative” do you add to the ice cream to prevent forming ice crystals?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  3 года назад

      I don't use additives. I've heard corn syrup (perhaps a few TBS) aids in reducing ice crystals before blending.

    • @anti-ethniccleansing465
      @anti-ethniccleansing465 3 года назад

      You use vanilla extract. The alcohol in it prevents ice crystals from forming.
      I do this all the time by making ice cream with simply heavy whipping cream and condensed milk as my base.

    I received the wet accent container from vitamix in a brown box. Is that normal for vitamix?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  3 года назад +1

      Yes, most containers are shipped in a brown box unless they are a specialized container such as the AER Disc or the Stainless Steel container whereas those are generally shipped in a picture box.

    Should the sunflower seeds be roasted for making nut butter?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  5 лет назад

      Yes, you must roast them if you buy them raw or just buy them roasted. Even still, buying them roasted I would recommend roasting them in the oven at 350 degrees for an additional 5-6 minutes to help bring out the natural oils so they will churn easier into butter.

    I don’t understand why you had to chop up the chocolate when the vitamix could have done it no?

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  3 года назад +1

      That would require me to put the chocolate in the refrigerator so it gets cold enough to break apart easily with the Vitamix blades as well as resist turning soft while trying to chop it due to the heat generated from the blades. Not everything should be done in a blender.

      I mentioned in the video that this is a healthy Nutella which is great for those with nut allergies.
