    Thank you, Mr. Henry. I lost one of my containers ☹😨😱 in a move and I could not, for the life of me, figure out whether I had a dry or wet one left. You showed me the way. Thank you. And now I don't feel so bad for my pitiful home made frappucinos. I was using the dry container. lol

    I have owned the 32oz wet container and I love it. Perfect for one person to a small family. I like how easy it is too clean because it is small, and how it is very compact.

    I'm going to hazard a guess that the primary reason why the 8-oz. containers can't be used with the adaptor is that the chips communicate to the Ascent sensors to adjust to a safe speed for the containers' small size.

    Excellent topic, Henry. It feels like I'm now "collecting" Vitamix containers each time there's a sale. 64oz wide, 48 oz wet, 32oz dry, and now Aer. With the new A-models, owning a Vitamix is starting to feel like owning a camera. Nikon or Canon - you want to try something new, but you've already invested in all these lenses. :)

    Awesome video, Henry! My go to container is the 64oz Tall version because it does absolutely everything for my needs.. From big to single servings, I find it works perfectly when making liquified blends.
    I have a wide 64oz container and I only really use it for big batches of ice cream (especially strawberry ice cream) or as a food processor for grinding meats and making things like the food bars. The wider base makes these jobs a little bit easier because the blades just grab right away, but I can also do these things with the tall container if need be: it just takes a bit more tamping skill ;)
    My next containers will be the bowls for quick dips and sauces as well as the AER disc for those wonderful summer mojitos!

    To add to the personal cup adapter bowl shape: it's a splash shield. If the container isn't fastened correctly, it may unscrew from the base while the machine is running, which is not a fun situation for obvious reasons. And unlike the the Ascent, which will stop automatically in this event with their blending bowls/cups, the legacy machines will not know the container is backing out since they do not have the wireless container technology. Just make sure the cup is secured with a firm locking twist. ;)

    Is the Ascent 20 oz personal cup the same one that's used on the personal blenders? I think the reason the 8 oz bowl isn't compatible with the adapter is because the splash guard goes higher up than the container, making it more difficult to screw onto the blades, and more prone to popping off, leaving a set of exposed blades spinning at 37000 rpms. Not good.

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  5 лет назад +1

      The Vitamix Personal Blenders use a different fitting 20oz cup. They are not the same as the 20oz cups used in the full-size Vitamix machines.

      Hi Michael! Thanks for reaching out. No mention of a 32oz compatible container. Perhaps because the 32oz and 48oz have the same footprint and each can blend the same amount of ingredients turning out the same results.

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  4 года назад +2

      People aren't reading the included instructions with the 20oz cup. It may seem like a no-brainer to use but it's not. There's an area on the container that has arrows that need to line up within a certain part of the cup. If they are over-tightened it will go outside of the parameters and the cup won't be recognized.

      Yes you can you can use the 64oz Tall container on the Pro 750. But honestly I would recommend to get the 48oz Self-Detect Wet container instead. It has the same size footprint (as shown in the video) as the 32oz so you can make the same size small quantities without compromise. Plus you get more volume for larger recipes. It fits underneath the counter still and it's a nice mid-sized container. Kind of the best of both worlds. It's also on sale for $99.00 (from $155.95) See here ➡️ bit.ly/3Pkx2JN

      The RPM's never should've been mentioned from the start. All full-sized Vitamix machines blend equally the same. Blend equally as quick and turn out the same exact results. The HIGH switch (that you called turbo) on the 5200 was incorporated into all Vitamix machines post the 5200. Speeds 1-10 are the lowest to the highest.

      @@BlendingWithHenry Thanks for the video!! I have this same doubt! The 48oz wet container you show seems to be the one for Ascent series... Do you know if it has the same size in the base as for the classic models? I just bought a Recon Next Generation and look for a smaller container to pair with the original 64oz wide. I´s been quite a difficult choice! The 32oz wet looks great, but I feel a bit afraid that I can regret not buying the 48 one.

    Hi Henry! Can the new, dishwasher-safe low profile 64 oz container be used on a 750 Pro machine? My original one with the black lid that came with the machine is still doing the job, but I'll have to get a new one some day. I'd be glad to use the dishwasher-safe container, especially since the black lid of my old one starts to smell a bit funny no matter how often I clean it. I compared the two containers in a store when the Ascent series came out but it was impossible to put the new container on the 750 Pro base. I wonder why Vitamix says in fits on any full-sized blender.

    Do you know Henry I seem to like the 48 ounce he does a better job on my ascent 3500 I made a smoothie and it came out better more tastier the bottom of the container is like the original size of the 5200 models 64 ounce containers I called Vita mix customer service should make a 64 ounce just like to 48 hours for the acent Model because it does a better job because the food is the container constantly no air pockets I was amazed I called Vita mix customer service they should make and change the style of the 64 ounce to make it smaller on the bottom of the container two big what’s your thoughts

    • @BlendingWithHenry
      @BlendingWithHenry  2 года назад

      Hi Pat. I honestly haven't noticed a difference in blend quality between any of the containers. Here's the thing though, based on the size and shape of the container recipe amounts sometimes have to be adjusted in order to accommodate the container design. For example, the 64oz Tall container (for classic Vitamix machines) is narrow at the bottom which makes it versatile for recipes as small as for one person. Trying to use the same exact recipe for one person in the current 64oz wide container (for Ascent and Vitamix Pro 750) will result in an inefficient blend because it requires more ingredients due to the wider design. This might give the impression that the wide container doesn't blend as well as the tall container.

      @@BlendingWithHenry ok ty it just seemed like my 48 ounce container my smoothies tasted better because it was a smaller footprint but you’re probably right because it does take less ingredients and 40 an ounce container is perfect for me so thank you for the information boss. I don’t like those cups and the 20 ounce blending cups A little difficult to get it to work on the machine for the ascent series to detect it according to Vita mix customer service you do not have to worry about the arrows anymore. But I told the lady they should make those sensors on the clear cups all the way around like they do the container just put it on the machine that’s it she’s going to tell device makes engineers. I find it difficult I just got those today.
