Doesn't it seem ridiculous that free shipping isn't included on a machine that costs $600? And that I have to use a referral code, which should apply to the price of the machine, to remove the 13.99 shipping fee? This is obviously not your fault as a content creator/affiliate, but the "referral" link implies a discount on the product in my mind. It really discourages me from buying through a link when I could go the Target route with $60 off with their credit card, or Amazon route with $100 off. I'm not sure if this hurts your sales opportunities in the long run, but it definitely made me look at other methods of purchase. Is this the intended arrangement with Vitamix? Or maybe this is feedback they need to hear?

Lenny--I just ordered this off the VM website and using the link for free shipping from your company. What do I need to do to get the cookbook/recipes? Thanks-
We still have that very first steel one too, but I was thinking of getting one of the new ones. Ours just has on or off, forward or backwards. Have you gotten a newer one? Should I bite the bullet?
Would be interesting to see the chemical analysis of a hot water coming from this container and from the plastic one. I suppose the plastic one leaves plastic in the water...
I am a metallurgist. I can say with certainty that it is 304 stainless so it is nonreactive at operating temperatures, even with acidic foods like tomatoes and citrus.
Thank you for making this video as I bought this after my A3500 and the small 8 0z and larger drinking one...I have been afraid to use it so thank you for letting me watch this....2 yrs later!
It seems quieter. Can it go in the dishwasher? I am still on the fence about upgrading to the digital model, I like the option of having a manual machine because I always worry that the digital ones can stop working and you can't "make" them work where the manual ones are just a lever or button. Thoughts? Thank you so much
It is dishwasher-safe, but we don't recommend it, just because it usually won't clean it as well as running a cleaning cycle. And no need to worry about not being able to make the smart system models work, they come with operational switches and dials, too :)
I'm trying to figure out under cupboard counter size - I currently have the a3500 with the 64oz pitcher that came with it, so I was wondering how much shorter/taller would it be if I replaced it with the stainless steel 48oz pitcher?
@@LINY Thanks for the response. I'm wanting it primarily for green smoothies and nice cream so this sounds perfect! The container it came with looks absolutely disgusting on my counter after two years of making smoothies every day. I've tried every trick I've heard from Vitamix and online, and while it looks "better", it still looks gross. All that to say that this will look better on my counter too. 😃 (P. S. Are you guys in the Twin Cities also?)
I got my new stainless steel container today. First thing is want to clean it with the machine. But for some reason, it was not pushed water to the top of the lid. I tried not only using the clean System but also use the highest speed. But still, the water didn't reach the top of the lid. What about yours?
One advantage of the Ascent series is the built in programs. For soups etc if using an automated setting will it account for the fact that the stainless steel container heats up faster?
It doesn’t appear to be the case, as demonstrated in the video with our queso. Could be something they update somehow? I will ask my people inside Vitamix
Great question! I bought the 2500 on sale from Amazon for those features & am so glad I watched this video👏All Vitamix should come with BOTH containers b/c sometimes you also want a larger size. Or make the stainless standard & larger.
I should've probably asked you guys first (I emailed Vitamix about this container, commending you as well). But I would like to know, I bought the 7500 almost two years ago and would like to have a second, more slimmer container, would this one fit the 7500? Or will they produce the low-profile container in stainless steel?
Thanks as always for the honest and insightful review. After reviewing your videos and buying through your links I am really happy with all the vita mix purchases I have made.
After doing research and looking through your RUclips channel, I bought a Vita Mix A 3500. I've used it 4 times. Today I got an error message, specifically Error 3 - 22. Now the darn thing won't work at all. So, I'm less than pleased. I've been on hold with Vita Mix for ages. Do you guys have any thoughts?
Oh no! E3 messages show up when the machine is overheating. Were you making a super thick blend on less than speed 10? Or not using the tamper? Vitamix recommends turning it off for 45 minutes and trying again. It should be fine after that, if not, there's a problem with the machine :( email us at hello@lifeisnoyoke if there's anything we can help with
@@LINY I did that, but I got a weird symbol again. I called Vitamix, and they told me that symbol was an indication that no jar was on the machine.... So, I'm back in business now. The owners guide needs to be a little more informative. I read, and re-read it, and there was nothing on the various codes.
I can tell you one thing properly original containers hard to clean after you put strawberries carrots kale spinach celery and use it three times a week after while the container goes cloudy I did all kind of cleaning with soap and water immediately and brushed it it’s still pretty clear but I think the stainless steel Container would probably be best if it had a little window in the center of it this way you can see what’s going on without looking over the top down into the machine tell the vita mix people to do that
Having had the 3600 with the stainless steel container, this new one does not seem to have the same quality of steel. My comment is based on observations during your video and the Vitamix’s promo video. the 3600 container was outstanding.
I think you forgot how thermodynamics work. if you ran the blender with the metal container the same time as the plastic container, the heat generated is the same. The container got hot coz the heat from the soup transferred into it. So technically the soup is hotter in the plastic container while some of that heat gets transferred to the metal one cooling down the soup. The reason your soup over cooked is probably something else.
Love your review, especially how you appreciate the imperfections and the sounds it makes. I think we could be friends :-) I have an old 3600 that was modified to use the modern containers and this would be the perfect match and look really cool. But where you really had me was with the malt shop reference! I used to have an old malt maker with the stainless cup and now I’m really craving an old fashioned vanilla malt! And I’ve never tried making ice cream in mine, but I think today’s the day! I’m a minimalist like you, but may not be able to resist ;-) Do you miss not being able to see the blending in action?
If you did a 2 min video just with specs they'd say you're in too much of a hurry and not explaining anything. Keep it mello my brother, we all need to slow down a bit!@@LINY
Thank you just saw that. Can you give me some info about the sale on the a3500 for black Friday sale and the stainless steel container plz. Do you sell the tamper holder. I am interestedin the stainless base. Much blessings
Thank you, I'm interested... maybe. I have a couple of questions. First, do you think the SS would get "dinged" up like a thinner stainless would? And also do you know if it's 18/10 stainless? Thanks!
It is 304 stainless. As with all stainless, it can get dinged up but it shouldn’t happen with normal use. As stated in the video, this grade of stainless will not leach with acidic foods (at least not at these temperatures), and it will last forever with proper care. Be sure to dry thoroughly after cleaning as even stainless steel can rust with continual water exposure.
Hey Lenny, great review of the stainless steel container! I would like to buy a second container for my A3500 which came with a low-profile 64 oz container - should I get the stainless steel 48oz or the plastic low-profile with self detect? Does the stainless steel one have self detect? What are the advantages of this compared to the plastic one? THANKS SO MUCH!
Looking to purchase the a3500 in the next couple of days. I liked the idea of the smart detect containers, but the stainless doesn't have that. I guess my question is does it make sense to have this container with that machine? Or maybe my idea of what smart detect does isn't really worth it, if this container is that great? Any help would be appreciated.
The plastic works well, I have an original jar from my 28 year old Vitamix TNC that still looks great. Both it and the blender motor still work well. All I've done is replace the original blades in the 64 ounce jar two years ago.
Looks Great!! 👌 Or I should say “it’s cute” like your son says!! 😊 When would it be available to purchase? I just ordered the 48 ounce clear container but now you got me thinking!! 🤔
I love this container, but oddly it trips my circuit breaker about 25% of the time when making my daily smoothies. Never happens when I use the larger plastic container that came with my A3500. Weird.
So glad I found your video. I just ordered an a3500 yesterday that will be delivered next week. I also ordered a 48 oz. container because this will be used primarily by my wife and myself and I think the 64 oz. will be too large for most of our needs. Just cancelled the plastic 48 oz. and ordered the stainless one. This will be our first blender so hoping it was the right decision. At least I'm going in without bias based on previous experience. I know it will look better on our counter with our other stainless appliances. Thank you for this and your other great videos!
Well if you send it to me as a gift 🎁 it would be for me 😂. I just purchased a 48 & the dry grain containers for my A3500. Didn’t know vitamix was going to come out with this. Now that I have a 48 it is now my primary container. The dry grains container is perfect for making BBQ rubs & spice mixes, just don’t leave it on to long or you will have dust for a dry rub.
@@Calinotch06 It’s working good, don’t use it as much as I thought I would but still handy to have. The finish on the inside looks a little like it’s been lightly sandblasted but hasn’t gotten any worse. Sometimes works best with less depending on what you put in it, as in if it’s as heavy or sticky item like brown sugar it will have a hard time. Very fast to process whatever is in so less in container is not a problem.

Would this work for venturist model? I need a cup
I always wonder how many metal particles get released into your blend.
Very good review. Thanks for heads-up. I'll use your referral link when this awesome container is available .
awesome thanks! available 7/8 here lifeisnoyoke.com/out/vitamix/stainless-steel-container-48
It's funny because I have a stainless steel container sitting on top of my Vitamix commercial right next to me.
Is this jar consistent with Vitamix Explorian 310? Thank you very much
yes 👍
Do they make clear stainless steel?
;)
Question:
So, this one replaces the dry grain container as well as the wet container?
It is an all in one container?
Thank you & great videos!
Does the container sensor know its stainless and make adjustments for the recipes and time durations so that your not over cooking the soups?
Stainless steel container doesn't use self-detect technology, so you have to be careful with timing!
You alluded to a full review coming at some point. Any update on that? I'm definitely interested in picking this up but a little concerned about the measurements on the inside holding up over time.
My take use the metal for ice cream and plastic for soup. However I still would adjust blend time in metal container for soup, rather than make anything hot in plastic
When will this be available for purchase? The site just says coming July 2020. I was going to place my order for my very first vitamix (A3500) tomorrow, should I wait for this to be available?
July 8!
Nice vid. That container makes total sense. Glad vitamin is offering it. Keep the reviews coming 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I have a lot of oatmeal. If I grind it what can I make with it?
Hi there! Is the vitamix that’s made to match this stainless steel container the back stainless colour or brushed stainless?
Any machine works. You can a new machine with this container (and this container only) if you get the A3500 w/ Black Stainless bit.ly/A3500BlackStainlessthruLINY
@@LINY I was actually wanting to know which color matches the stainless container-I have the black stainless a3500 and was wondering whether that was the colour shown in this video or if it was the brushed stainless? It’s hard to tell as the black stainless shape shifts so much lol. Thanks!
What's different about the new smart models to make the food processor or smaller bowls and cups not work on the ss 7500 professional series???
Lenny--I just ordered this off the VM website and using the link for free shipping from your company. What do I need to do to get the cookbook/recipes? Thanks-
lifeisnoyoke.com/notify/
This was helpful. I was concerned about compatibility with my low profile blender.
My first was made out of stainless back in the 70's.
We still have that very first steel one too, but I was thinking of getting one of the new ones. Ours just has on or off, forward or backwards. Have you gotten a newer one? Should I bite the bullet?
@@mlfetterman My metal one died decades ago. I have the best one now. It's amazing.
Would be interesting to see the chemical analysis of a hot water coming from this container and from the plastic one. I suppose the plastic one leaves plastic in the water...
That would indeed settle some questions.
So this works with the smart sensing system of the A3500?
Hi Is this stainless steel container compatible with a reconditioned 5200? I would love this. Thanks
Yup
Same height. That 64 that came with your machine is a "low profile" container
Ours worked well! Try using more water this time?
Life is NOYOKE I tried to use more or less water either way, but still couldn’t clean the lid. Fell like it has not as powerful as 64 oz container.
That's a better powderization than my "Dry Grains" container. Something told me to wait.
Do they have the new stainless steel container for dry use.
This is the only one they've got, however, it worked really well at grinding the oat flour in the video!
I should've probably asked you guys first (I emailed Vitamix about this container, commending you as well). But I would like to know, I bought the 7500 almost two years ago and would like to have a second, more slimmer container, would this one fit the 7500? Or will they produce the low-profile container in stainless steel?
Hey Yoli, yup this one will fit on your 7500 👍
@@LINY Hello, hello! Hope you guys are doing well. Stay safe. Thank you!! 🙂
Compatible with 5200?
Thanks as always for the honest and insightful review. After reviewing your videos and buying through your links I am really happy with all the vita mix purchases I have made.
Thanks so much! Glad we could help out :)
Hey guys,
Does the stainless container come in a dry grain version?
You can swap the blades out.
It should be fine after that, if not, there's a problem with the machine :(
email us at hello@lifeisnoyoke if there's anything we can help with
@@LINY I did that, but I got a weird symbol again. I called Vitamix, and they told me that symbol was an indication that no jar was on the machine.... So, I'm back in business now. The owners guide needs to be a little more informative. I read, and re-read it, and there was nothing on the various codes.
Hi Shayla and Lenny, would this fit a 5200? I got my under blade scraper from you and I can't wait to use it!
yes!
Will this Container works on a 750 Professinal Series , too? Thanks for help
yes!
Which do you think might be better for making smoothies, the new Steel Container or the 48-oz. Tritan Container?
both are incredible. stainless will keep it colder, but probably same quality.
I can tell you one thing properly original containers hard to clean after you put strawberries carrots kale spinach celery and use it three times a week after while the container goes cloudy I did all kind of cleaning with soap and water immediately and brushed it it’s still pretty clear but I think the stainless steel Container would probably be best if it had a little window in the center of it this way you can see what’s going on without looking over the top down into the machine tell the vita mix people to do that
Is the steel container a metal version of the E310 container?
Not exactly, it's kind of its own thing (but works on any machine)
Can this one work on my c series 5200?
Is it easy to clean the blades? Can you detach the bottom?
it is easy to clean the blades, just fill with soap and water and run a cleaning cycle! not detachable though
Loved your video, couldn't fast-forward, good job selling me! lol
Having had the 3600 with the stainless steel container, this new one does not seem to have the same quality of steel. My comment is based on observations during your video and the Vitamix’s promo video. the 3600 container was outstanding.
Interesting 🤔 I’d be curious to see them side by side
Agreed. This is a piece of shhhhid.
200 dollars for something that should be 50-80 dollars. The plastic ones already over priced should be 30-50 bucks.
They're good quality, but you're right; not a small investment.
I think we could be friends :-)
I have an old 3600 that was modified to use the modern containers and this would be the perfect match and look really cool.
But where you really had me was with the malt shop reference! I used to have an old malt maker with the stainless cup and now I’m really craving an old fashioned vanilla malt! And I’ve never tried making ice cream in mine, but I think today’s the day! I’m a minimalist like you, but may not be able to resist ;-)
Do you miss not being able to see the blending in action?
PS: can you recommend a good vanilla ice cream recipe? And a vegan version?
You did a 14 min video just to say " I like it" lol
First impressions video!
If you did a 2 min video just with specs they'd say you're in too much of a hurry and not explaining anything. Keep it mello my brother, we all need to slow down a bit!@@LINY
Hi :) do you know if it works with European models?
Is it compatible with Vitamix E3200 explorean series?
yes, compatible with all full-size models :)
Which you were in Canada would buy the a3500 from you. Thanks for a very informative video. Will get the stainless . Much blessings
Our links work for Canada
@@LINY will it be free shipping to Canada
Thank you just saw that. Can you give me some info about the sale on the a3500 for black Friday sale and the stainless steel container plz. Do you sell the tamper holder. I am interestedin the stainless base. Much blessings
Does this work on the E310? Anybody?
It does yes
@@LINY thank you !
good review. I struggle to lift the current container, so the extra 1+ would be a deal breaker for me.
Thanks :) and that's why we included that!
Where is it? is it already available or sold out or what?

Please , peut on le mettre sur un Vitamix 5200 ??
oui, sur tous Vitamix

Is this narrow bottom so you can makes less say ice cream?
Smaller/narrower helps you make smaller batches of everything
COULD YOU PLEASE DO A REVIEW ON THE VITAMIX 12 CUP FOOD PROCESSOR ATTACHMENT? THANK YOU
Once we're allowed to :)
Stainless steel does not have self-detect. The general advantages: less plastic, better at grinding flours, keeps your stuff hotter or colder.
Looking to purchase the a3500 in the next couple of days. I liked the idea of the smart detect containers, but the stainless doesn't have that. I guess my question is does it make sense to have this container with that machine? Or maybe my idea of what smart detect does isn't really worth it, if this container is that great? Any help would be appreciated.
hey Eric, sounds like maybe a quick chat would help? lifeisnoyoke.com/contact
Great review as usual ! 🙂 although I think I’ll stick to plastic containers because my wrist is flimsy and also I love watching what I cook ☺️ 🤓
The plastic works well, I have an original jar from my 28 year old Vitamix TNC that still looks great. Both it and the blender motor still work well. All I've done is replace the original blades in the 64 ounce jar two years ago.
Is this coming to the UK and Europe?
No news yet on getting the SSC to Europe.
lifeisnoyoke.com/keepmeupdated/ to hear first!
Lifeisnoyoke that’s a shame I’m concerned about the plastic leeching into the food when the container starts chipping.. or I would buy one yesterday
Is it compatible with a3500
yep! with all full-size Vitamixes
Actually it doesn’t with 220 v or international models I contacted vitamix team and they told us that,
Looks Great!! 👌 Or I should say “it’s cute” like your son says!! 😊 When would it be available to purchase? I just ordered the 48 ounce clear container but now you got me thinking!! 🤔
Rats! I recently got a clear plastic container.
July 8th is planned release 👍
Life is NOYOKE What about in Toronto?
@@LINY thanks for the info
I love this container, but oddly it trips my circuit breaker about 25% of the time when making my daily smoothies. Never happens when I use the larger plastic container that came with my A3500. Weird.
call vitamix
$200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yea, maybe next century
it's very spendy
So glad I found your video. I just ordered an a3500 yesterday that will be delivered next week. I also ordered a 48 oz. container because this will be used primarily by my wife and myself and I think the 64 oz. will be too large for most of our needs. Just cancelled the plastic 48 oz. and ordered the stainless one. This will be our first blender so hoping it was the right decision. At least I'm going in without bias based on previous experience. I know it will look better on our counter with our other stainless appliances. Thank you for this and your other great videos!
Ok, Jeff Goldblum. GREAT.... AAAAAH YEA THAT WAS GOOD.
I think the motor transfers heat better to this than than the plastic.
How is the dry grains container holding up? Did you ever get the stainless steel container?
@@Calinotch06
It’s working good, don’t use it as much as I thought I would but still handy to have.
You’re in love with Vitamix, even when they take a sh#t on your countertop you love it..!
