Yeah it's refreshing to see something different I think also having more games placed in pre-medieval Europe and Asia instead of the typical medieval times (Imagine a game set in Pre-Alexandrine Babylonia, or also Imperial Rome and Greece) would be a good idea
We do need more of this. Journey to the West is a classic that honestly deserves to get a game like this. It helps with the fact that the story is full of crazy ass battles.
Sound design/quality... Graphics.... From lighting to textures... World design... Just look at those buildings and atmosphere.. Fluid as hell animations... Combat looks epic and plays like a mix of sekiro/nioh/souls i.e perfect . This game is a 10/10 If this is exactly how it is released.

there was another trailer which seemed to borrow a lot of elements from sekiro(and it has a whole souls-like vibe). it's still original enough though in my opinion

This game looks gorgeous but I'm really disliking the excessive use of motion blur and particle effects. Hopefully these can be turned off but i doubt it
the wolf movement is incredible, it is really impressive how fluid it moves and how it behave. I hate how wukong spin his staff so much though, I get it, that is how old school staff moves, but damn I hate it, I would rather wield something that can hit when I want it to hit instead of spinning it 99999 times before hitting, I would rather wield broken handmaid's ladle than whatever staff he is wielding
I do think that every spin is actually a hit, the guy just doesnt master the game and his weapon hitbox. In addition, those kind of frames are something very common into this type of game, if you wanna use a powerful move, it's normal that you have to suffer a 0.5 seconds frame that forces you to use the move only when you have the time to

Chinese culture is the mother of Japanese and Korean culture. In fact, it is more suitable for making games than Journey to the West. There are countless monsters, gods, mountains and rivers in "Shan Hai Jing".
It's not just Chinese IP. It's a very grim rendition of it as well. This is nothing like the usual wuxia world we get from the average Chinese house brands. This is gritty, disgusting and borderline blasphemous. We're in for a soul like experience for sure.

@@Trlll lol I've played through all soul games. And believe me... 80% of dark souls bosses have like 5-6 main moves. Specially dark souls 2. Even in dark souls 3 the most popular bosses like Nameless king or midir etc... They all have few moves that i can remember in my head.
