I wish that the trillions of dollars that are spent on climate change would instead go to cleaning up the oceans. I think the fanatic climate change business is a scam. It's about making people miserable and poor while a few people get rich from it. The climate is always changing as it has done since the earth was formed. We could spend the money on some sort ocean cleaning system. These animals and so many that live in the oceans are suffering today.
The surprise and immediate heartache to see the severity of his wounded flipper... BUT thanks to OCN, he now has a fighting chance. Gratitude and blessings.
I have noticed dogs and cats as well as some of the wildlife Are getting smarter, s perhaps some day the seals will catch on that the rescuers are there to help them.

I suspect when they're not actively trying to catch seals or when they're on there. I guess holiday would be the correct term. They probably go to beaches so they can have experience running on Sand

Depending on what they're wearing, they weren't in any real danger. I suspect standard fake leather work boots would be able to fend off the bite from a seal pup and if not fend it off, make it dramatically less painful

That pup was gradually realising as he went away that he has the use of his flipper again. Such amazing teamwork all.the way through, as ever, but particularly in disentangling the two pups tied together. Thank you OCN for saving every seal you can❤❤❤

So sad to see such damage to these precious animals, but the ocean has such healing powers. My friend had psoriasis and moved to Florida and going in the ocean healed her. Salt water…no…ocean water..yes. Nature is a wonder, and you rescuers are such a blessing to these animals.
That poor baby with the extreme cut at the joint of his left flipper really breaks your heart. I do hope there isn't any nerve damage and that he will recover enough to be able to catch food and escape predators. Then those two pups entangled in netting together. The one who tried to bite was loyal to his friend. He even waited for the OCN team to free him. I'm glad no one was bitten, but it's good to see there is fight in them and that they are wild as they should be. Thank you OCN for doing what you can. It would do so much if government and fisheries stepped up to take responsibility, do their part to decrease the amount of netting, lines and trash that lands in the ocean. We can go into space. Can't someone create a way to make the owners' of the netting and lines identifiable? I'm sure if steep fines were given, they'd be more careful with their gear.

It's hard to see the harm we are doing by depositing trash in the ocean. But I'm grateful to see the compassion and effort taken to rescue these seals! There are days it really helps me to see that humans can behave with kindness and selflessness. Thank you for all you do!

Although they haven't said so, personally I think it's because an entangled seal on the beach stands a good chance of being spotted and saved by OCN, so the dead ones have mostly died of natural causes.💙
Thousands and thousands of seals in one place, of course a couple are going to die of age or disease in that group. That's life. Nothing anyone can do. Pray if you want, then move on.

Hello! 6 seals were given freedom and a chance for a long life. How much effort did it cost the rescuers? A lot, you can see and hear it. Total dedication, if there is no more strength, but somewhere there are still entangled seals, then strength is found. For two friends entangled in one rope, these efforts paid off. I can't tell you how much I admire what you do. Plus, you don't have to wrestle & capture potentially dangerous, frightened, injured, wild animals, under the stress of not letting them get away, while you're pacing yourself on your 10K trot (which is not at full speed).
@@effkay3691 Wild Aminal are most aggressive when injured & threatened. Which is what resurers face nearly 100% of the time. Seals are slippery & have very sharp teeth & powerful jaws. Plus, they always have to sprint in sand & shallow beach waters, wearing cameras & rescue equipment. Please give these people the conditioning credit they deserve.

Our efforts are just a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of tonnes of trash entering the world's oceans every year.
We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. These videos aim to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

6 seals were given freedom and a chance for a long life. How much effort did it cost the rescuers? A lot, you can see and hear it. Total dedication, if there is no more strength, but somewhere there are still entangled seals, then strength is found. For two friends entangled in one rope, these efforts paid off. And we saw a cute picture of friendship between two seals.

I can't tell you how much I admire what you do. I pray that the day comes that you are not needed, and I hope that there are many generations to follow that pick up your work and keep rescuing them until that day comes. It is heartbreaking and so unnecessary that even just random runs finds that many entangled seals. God bless your kindness and stewardship of these ocean animals!!

@@effkay3691 There's a big difference between long distance running and sprinting at full speed, over a short distances. Plus, you don't have to wrestle & capture potentially dangerous, frightened, injured, wild animals, under the stress of not letting them get away, while you're pacing yourself on your 10K trot (which is not at full speed).

@@effkay3691 Wild Aminal are most aggressive when injured & threatened. Which is what resurers face nearly 100% of the time. Seals are slippery & have very sharp teeth & powerful jaws. Plus, they always have to sprint in sand & shallow beach waters, wearing cameras & rescue equipment. Please give these people the conditioning credit they deserve.
@@Anthony-zt1zs I do give them credit. Stop being so defensive. I just commented on the heavy panting. RUclips channels put their lives out there then get all nervous when there’s a bit of comment or judgement.
