I wish that the trillions of dollars that are spent on climate change would instead go to cleaning up the oceans. I think the fanatic climate change business is a scam. It's about making people miserable and poor while a few people get rich from it. The climate is always changing as it has done since the earth was formed.
We could spend the money on some sort ocean cleaning system. These animals and so many that live in the oceans are suffering today.

That poor baby with the extreme cut at the joint of his left flipper really breaks your heart. I do hope there isn't any nerve damage and that he will recover enough to be able to catch food and escape predators.
Then those two pups entangled in netting together. The one who tried to bite was loyal to his friend. He even waited for the OCN team to free him. I'm glad no one was bitten, but it's good to see there is fight in them and that they are wild as they should be.
Thank you OCN for doing what you can. It would do so much if government and fisheries stepped up to take responsibility, do their part to decrease the amount of netting, lines and trash that lands in the ocean.
We can go into space. Can't someone create a way to make the owners' of the netting and lines identifiable? I'm sure if steep fines were given, they'd be more careful with their gear.

Don’t know what they can do about it. People are the problem, penalties should be harsher. I wonder why animals pay the price, for example cats and dogs, what’s up with that?

There is always the possibility the dead seals on the beach died a natural death. It is part of living, of nature. 🌈

Hi😊 Yes, OCN have said they normally see very few entangled dead seals on the beach. Although they haven't said so, personally I think it's because an entangled seal on the beach stands a good chance of being spotted and saved by OCN, so the dead ones have mostly died of natural causes.💙

Thousands and thousands of seals in one place, of course a couple are going to die of age or disease in that group. That's life.
Nothing anyone can do. Pray if you want, then move on.

Our efforts are just a drop in the bucket compared to the millions of tonnes of trash entering the world's oceans every year.
We are unfortunately not solving the problem, but only treating the symptoms of the plastic crisis with our rescues. These videos aim to show the consequences of this pollution and create a change to tackle its roots - namely our addiction to single-use plastics, the lack of law enforcement at sea, and the shortcomings of the recycling industry.

    Hello!
6 seals were given freedom and a chance for a long life. How much effort did it cost the rescuers? A lot, you can see and hear it. Total dedication, if there is no more strength, but somewhere there are still entangled seals, then strength is found. For two friends entangled in one rope, these efforts paid off. And we saw a cute picture of friendship between two seals.
How can you not love this OCN team? Thank you!

I pray that the day comes that you are not needed, and I hope that there are many generations to follow that pick up your work and keep rescuing them until that day comes. It is heartbreaking and so unnecessary that even just random runs finds that many entangled seals. God bless your kindness and stewardship of these ocean animals!!

@@effkay3691 There's a big difference between long distance running and sprinting at full speed, over a short distances. Plus, you don't have to wrestle & capture potentially dangerous, frightened, injured, wild animals, under the stress of not letting them get away, while you're pacing yourself on your 10K trot (which is not at full speed).
