Imagine being the seal: first you get almost strangled, and when you try to hide in the group, they spot exactly you! Ha! But you were lucky and could escape. They must have been distracted by that thing you had around your neck.
What a juggling act! I can't believe you hung on to both of them after they got out of the nets and reached the water, more than once. You guys are truly something!
The most amazing thing for me was having scissors in one hand and getting bitten he still managed to ctach two seals at the same time without hurting them.
I give you people full credit for not giving up. Of course, the seal pups get an A+ for shear determination on trying to escape. In the end, everyone won, seals escaped but minus an entanglement. Hope the bite wasn't too bad. Great job, all of you. 🇨🇦
*"Hope the bite wasn't too bad."* doesn't look like it. from the footage it looks like he was lucky and the seal didn't get a clean hit, the watch and the shirt sleeve took most of it.
Wow, the determination of the two sea puppies wanting to escape, and Naude’s determination to bring them back, must have been exhausting. Definitely a tougher crowd today than usual, but everyone did a great job saving all of them. Thank you for being their heroes!🦭🦭🦭🦭🦭🦭💕👍🙏🏻
If ever I thought, I, a 56 kg woman of 57, could do this job, this video corrected my fantasy! What an insane amount of strength and agility it takes to wrangle these slippery seals, sometimes simultaneously, and fixate them long enough to be able to cut the strains that strangle them! Chapeau, Naude!!! 🎩 👏👏👏
I have so much respect for those seals who despite being entangled their desire to live makes them fight back or escape. Great work guys, hope the bites were quickly dealt with and not too deep
Some humans will always disappoint as some will never change their ways. They will keep dumping their garbage into the ocean without a care for the hurt they inflict on the sea life
It’s good to laugh how comical the rescue situation was even if it was equally tragic to find seals so badly entangled. It cannot be easy to see this amount of suffering daily. Thank you heroes🩵
AND have to go home knowing how many got away!!! To bad that the ones who were released from pain & suffering can't tell the others how they were helped & that it didn't even hurt!
Oh, man, good job Naude. Have to admit I was laughing even as I was worrying that they were going to get away. Again, you did a stellar job of controlling two feisty seals. Bravo!
Those two little ones figured out very quickly how to slip out of the net and tested Naude and Hawain's determination. Wow, that was many seals rescued in one run. Thank you OCN !
Naude, you really fought the seals from getting away from you. I had to chuckle. I cannot believe how close the seals came to leaving your grasp. Awesome job by everyone 👏. That was a very busy morning for all rescuers. Enjoy your day today.
I almost think the dead fish are the result of some kind of phenomena. I don't mean anything "supernatural" but possibly a localized tidal wave that happens to catch a large school of fish and dumps them too far ashore for them to return to the water....? That's my guess.
@@mikejensen4238 When I was young we would have times on the shores of Lake Michigan where the dead alewives would pile up so much you couldn't walk on the beach without stepping on them. You were dealing with some 'mischievous' seals that day! Fortunately you succeeded in rescuing them all and had a good laugh afterwards. Thanks guys!💕🦭
Thank you, everyone, from the team on the beach to the people behind the keyboard for all you do to help seals and other sea creatures. You're real heroes for coming back day after day to help those that are entangled.
OMG Naude!!! I have always admired that even with the pain of your daughter's illness (which thank God she has already overcome) your compassion and your commitment to save these beautiful creatures has always been 100%! And your rescue today definitely corroborates that! There is nothing left but to thank the Lord for yours and your team presence in this world and for the wonderful work that you guys do!!!! 👏❤️👏❤️👏

I shouldn't laugh but I did. I know the struggle was real. Those seals needed your help badly and I'm sure the bite didn't tickle. I didn't know seal juggling was a thing! I watched it three times. Well done Naude, Antwoine & Hawain!

Such good work I live inland but you have me being really careful about my trash
I am always amazed you can spot the seals that are entangled.
Me too. They have bionic eyesight 😂
They have to have insane vision I agree but I think what their looking at is their fur, they are looking for a division in the fur
The fur around the rope/net/string looks broken where it should be smooth...but still, you need a good eye to spot them.
I'm not sure who had the most determination
